Great place to buy a boat. No pressure sales.

I purchased a new Sea Hunt 234 Ultra the beginning of September from Greg. I cant say more on how good I was treated during my purchase and delivery process. If your in the market for a boat. Stop in and see Greg. The whole team there is friendly and helpful. And if you have to order your boat, its worth the wait!!

Our experience with Danny could not have been better! What a great individual to work with!

I don’t even know how to adequately describe how incredibly inept the service department is run at Castaway Marine. Our boat was there for a total of about 6 weeks, only to be told that we should google how to fix the problem and try to fix it ourselves.Our brand new (2021), boat was taken to Castaway Marine for an error message that would cause the steering to stop working. They however were not able to replicate the error.We were called to the service department to try to get the error message to pop up, because the technician was unable to do so. On our first attempt, the error message was displayed on the screen.After several days, we were told that the boat was repaired, and to pick it up or we would be charged storage fees. We went to pick it up, only to start the boat and be met with the same error code. We left the boat there, they said they’d get to it when they could. A couple weeks later, we were told they had found the problem, a loose connection. And please get there ASAP to pick it up. On the way home from picking up the boat, I tried to start it up just to make sure the error was actually fixed. Of course it popped up right away. I headed straight back to Castaway. I was told they would try to fit it in as soon as possible, but they had other boats to work on.The boat was there for several additional weeks. The third time I was told that I should call Yamaha, to see if someone there could tell the technician how to fix the issue. When it was time to pick up the boat a third time, I was again told to pick up the boat or risk being charged storage fees. Surprise, surprise….the boat was returned to me with additional fuel calibration issues that were not present when we originally took the boat there. This is when I was told to google how to fix the problem, or call Yamaha for help as it was missed by them when they replaced the steering actuator. The service manager was asked to give the owner of Castaway my number to discuss this 6 weeks problem and I was told by the service manager the owner said he would put a $200 check in the mail for any inconvenience I thought I was owed from them. And they didn’t want to see our boat back there, the owner stated I should take it elsewhere . Really $200 for all the issues with this business, I’ll use it for advertising to make sure everyone knows that this business is not worthy of working on any boat, let alone a $120,000 boat. Also we will be reporting to the better business bureau. Luckily, we found SunDance marine in Jensen Beach, Fl., they had our boat working properly in just a few hours! I cannot thank them enough! Beware do not take your boat here for service.

Bought my 2020 26ft Hurricane about 2 months ago. The experience was quick and easy. The Sales Guy (Greg) was great. I first called to see what they had available and he gave me price and details right over the phone. The price was Great--best around.I had my boat delivered for a small fee. The guy who delivered it was great as well. He went over the entire boat with me. Probbably spent about 2 hrs going over the boat. He put it in the water for me. Helped me get in the slip where I keep it.Just an overall great experience. I would highly recommend if you are looking to buy a boat--to go see this dealer.

We have been searching for a boat for a couple years now and hadn’t found the right one. We randomly decided to see some boats while driving aroundSunday and stopped at Castaway. We didn’t plan on getting one that day but after meeting Danny and seeing the boats they had and having his help making both my husband and I happy we decided to make the deal. The transaction was easy and quick! Picked our boat, gave some of our info and waited for the loan company to approve the next day. Monday morning he called to tell us the boat was ready. He helped us with any info we needed- fishing, boating - very helpful and great guy!! It was a real pleasure working with Danny- we definitely plan to be back when we upgrade in a few years! We bought the boat new so obviously no issues but it’s a beautiful Sea Chaser that had great reviews when we searched - and Castaway had a great price (our insurance company was wondering how we got such a good deal...) Great experience as a first time boat owner. They give you everything you need to start out. They were the least expensive and had the most extras. For example the standard gas tank is 30 Gallons their boats had 50 gallon tanks. They keep you safe by including the coast guard package; which was anchor, ropes, flares, life jackets and throw pfd. Thank you Billy for being knowledgeable and hanging in there. (I should have gotten the extras you suggested).

We just purchased a Hurricane 232 from Billy. I had called six other dealers. One dealer never called back, the other did not even know what model I was asking about. Billy called me back, asked all the questions to help me find the right boat for us. He really went out of his way to put this deal together. He is the reason we bought from Castaway Marine. The sales manager Bob was a joy to work with also. Together, they made this so much fun. I absolutely would recommend this dealer. Great service, great communication through out the buying process. This dealership stands out from the rest (A+). I have purchased 2 boats from this dealership over the past 4 years. Each and every time I went into the location everyone has been extremely helpful. The service was the same before and after each sale, as they always did whatever was needed (Sales or Service Dept). If you are looking for service or to purchase a boat, give them the opportunity to earn your business.

I had some service work done to my Key West center console and couldnt be happier. They installed a remote controlled trolling motor, two new batteries, and did an annual service to my Yamaha outboard. The price was better than anyone else and it was done when they said it would be. The quality of the work was great, it looked like the factory installed it.This dealership is exactly what you want, nice people, good prices and great service. Bob and Don where great guys, I wish I would have bought the boat from them instead of where I did. I wouldnt hesitate buying my next them.

Wife and I were shopping around for boats in the Melbourne area and visited many dealers. Far and away, Castaway Marine was the most professional and friendly we came across. Our salesman Danny took his time to walk us through the boats and explain the pros and cons to each hull. He made sure to guide us to getting the right size and style boat to fit our family needs and wants. There was no trying to talk us into getting a large boat or getting major upgrades (which in my opinion the Sea Hunts come ready to put in the water). We walked off the lot knowing which hull we wanted and told Danny we would be in touch. There was zero pressure to stay and just see what we could do. A couple days later we were back to ask more questions, which Danny happily answered without applying any pressure at al to buy a boat. He was more than happy to just help us understand the process. We wen home and applied for financing with our bank of 20 plus years and was very disappointed in the interest rate they offered. After calling Danny and talking to him about our disappointment in our bank, he asked us to give Castaway Marine a shot at the financing. Low and behold, they beat our bank by a long shot so we decided to go with them.The financing and delivery was seamless and could not have gone easier or better! Even after the sale, any question I have had Danny has responded to quickly and happily. I have talked to him numerous times since the sale and he is always professional and courteous, even with the most simple of questions.Bottom line, if I ever buy another boat Castaway Marine will be the place I buy from. Professional, knowledgable, and courteous staff. Highest recommendation! All of the other dealers I visited in the area pale in comparison to the staff here.

I called about a boat they had listed, they said its sold although they have another similar boat that isnt even listed yet for the same price. I told Danny Ill drive over tomorrow to make the purchase because Im interested, Danny insisted for me not to come by just yet because it needed to be cleaned first and he already made plans to go fishing. Danny assured me that he would put my name on the boat do no one sells it, the following day Danny told me they sold the boat to someone else.I dont understand why you wouldnt allow me to swing by and purchase the boat with another associate of yours if you already had plans. Also what ever happened to putting my name on the boat. Its an unethical way of doing business, Im extremely irritated by the way the whole thing happened.

Friendly place, hard to get warranty work on time. Carolina Skiff has a lot of problems with the materials they’re using on their boats. The stainless steel gets rusted fast. Hinges, workmanship on t-tops, cheap seats and upholstery comes apart.

We had a good experience buying the boat, but a bad one with the maintenance dept.We had the boat 3 months and it had 17 hours on it when we got a over warning. It turned out to be the impeller This was not covered by the warranty and it took about 8 weeks and $600 for them fix it.

I had a very good experience with these guys even though I did not buy a boat from them. I had the unfortunate experience of buying a boat from Top Notch Marine, which was the worst mistake I could possibly make. We found a boat at castaway we really liked (2014 Hurricane Deck Boat) and we liked the 2007 Bayliner 217 Deckboat at Top Notch. The reason we went the the Bayliner is because it had the 150 outboard for only 15K. Well, let me tell you, by the time we got screwed out of everything at delivery, we should of went with the brand new boat for 22k. Upon delivery, they mention to us that it does not come with a trailer, etc. I just wanted to say I had a really friendly experience at Castaway, the sales guy was not pushy at all and did not call or be bothersome after our initial visit. They seemed pretty stand up and knowledgable.

Bought a Sea Hunt 188 from this dealership after looking in the area. Prices were best I found and people are down to earth, and pretty funny too.

Billy & bob want to sell you boats with there options, not what I wanted, billy always says there’s no manager on site, every time I call and ask to speak to 1 .i Will never buy from this dealer .
