Medina Midas is a great place to have just about any type of work done on your vehicle. Dave and crew of guys are very knowledgeable and make every effort to get you taken care of right away. They remind me of your good old fashioned neighborhood mechanics. Been there several times for repairs and questions on our old 1997 Grand Caravan. Theyve kept it in safe shape and running great with as little impact to my wallet as possible these days. The guys under Daves management are all polite and respectful. I have a lot of confidence and faith that Im getting honest, quality work thats only whats necessary at a Fair price. I had the coolant tower replaced on my 1998 Jaguar xk8 on 10-30-21. Once again their master mechanic finished the job in 4 hrs. Thats record time. Job entailed removing the intake manifold to get to the fasteners on the coolant tower. Outstanding job. Reasonable cost. The Medina Midas on North Court just a quarter mile off the square is by far the best place to take any make model vehicle for all auto work period. Hats off and 5 stars all the way.

I had overnight flat and they not only answered their phone before opening but were the only shop in Medina that offered to get my tire plugged and on the road to get me to work. Everyone else said they couldnt fit in this 10 min job even though their shops were empty of waiting customers. Im sure they had work but no one actively waiting. They could have made an effort but didnt but Midas did.

Went to Midas because my car was making a noise that other shops couldn’t find. Not only did they find the noise they were also very nice. I will be returning

Dave at the Midas in Medina Ohio, was fantastic! We had a bunch of leaking coming from under carriage of our 1997 Dodge Caravan, he got us right in and put it on the lift, located 4 issues, worked up an estimate and talked with us on which problems where critical and needed fixed ASAP for safety, which ones we could wait on. We decided though to have all of them fixed but one that was under warranty elsewhere as their pricing was very reasonable within our budget. They even took us home, so we didnt have to wait there, started worked on the car, got the jobs done faster than we expect and came to pick us back up at home so we could retrieve our van. The work was complete, thorough and the price was exactly as estimated, no surprises. Dave and his staff were extremely professional. We are completely satisfied with Midas in Medina Oh. and would not only take our vehicles there again but highly recommend them to others. 5 star service!!!

Not only did they fix my car right and quick, when a parts vendor delivered the wrong part my car needed, Dave didnt blink an eye before he was on the road himself to pickup the correct part! Amazing customer service from the managers Chris and Dave, they were very fast and helpful.Ive owned my car since high school, and its been declining in quality for a while. I really needed to get a lot of repairs done to extend the life of it while I save up for something new.I didnt have enough for all the repairs today, but they were able to help set me up with the easypay financing so that I could get what I needed done. They were also very friendly in explaining what exactly my car needed, and put a lot of work in in ensuring that I got the right parts for the right price.Dave was incredibly delightful to talk to, he mentioned that he had only been the new manager for just about a month. When he learned that Medina had town square events, he said that the shop had donated some money to be apart of the festivities. He was hilarious and easy to small talk with, definitely a great customer service person!I had been there since 8am until 1pm, and when the crew even ordered pizza, and they had offered me a slice. I cant guarantee that youll get the same treatment, but it just showed how friendly and considerate the entire staff was.Ive worked at a lot of chain places, and I know how draining it can be. But it was very obvious that they have a great synergy here, and that people were genuinely happy to be at work.I will be moving an hour away from Medina, but I am absolutely resolute that this is the place I will continue to come back to for car repair. Ive never had a better experience in my entire life. They treated me with a ton of respect.If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.Give this entire store a pay raise, they are putting in their honest 40 hours!! These guys are the real deal.

I went to have brake service. They forgot to put the lug nuts on my car which almost killed me. In addition they stole money out of my car. The refused to fix the damage to the wheel and instead wanted me to spend 700 to have it fixed. Criminals and incompetent people. Avoid this place.

Took my vehicle here the beginning of 2020, I was previously working in Medina when my car decided to leak fluid all over someones driveway. I didnt know what was wrong, it was a consistent flow of dripping. I called midas and asked if they can look at my vehicle if I take it in right now. I thought that was wonderful they did that. When they called me back for the problem and the cost. I almost cried, it was outrageously expensive. They told me it was the radiator and would cost about $800....so we fixed it. But a couple months have passed and my vehicle was still leaking, one drip at a time. So I took it back for them to fix it. Thought it was fixed and I wouldnt have known if there was a problem cause it was getting warm so no need for my heater.So fast forward to November I took my vehicle in to Take 5 for an oil change and the guy said your lower hose is leaking.....so all I was thinking it was the hose, didnt have money to fix that so I kept buying coolant. After the 6th coolant container. Im like something is definitely wrong.So recently I took it to another auto service to get my vehicle looked at to find out I need a new radiator.....

My daughter went in for a simple break line replacement. The service technician said that she had to have her calipers replaced in order to fix the brake lines. He quoted an unbelievable $1,700 for the job! I shouldnt have to go with my daughter for her to get a fair quote on fixing brake lines. Stay away from this place. If they are willing to cheat a young lady, then theyll cheat on the work they do.

My brake line needed replaced and I called to ask for a quick quote and was quoted about $150 per line replacement. That sounded reasonable, but when I brought my car in, the quote was a whopping $1,700. The service guy said that was because I also needed two or possibly three calipers replaced in order to do the job right. Do NOT trust this place. Then when I left in tears he smirked and said be careful with those brakes. What a jerk. Very dishonest and unprofessional.

I came in here with an oil change coupon. Service advisor was friendly and I did notice they did a thorough once over of vehicle. He advised me they had checked the balance of a tire and it was off, even took me back to see it on the balancer. Advised I should pay for a balance for all four. I obliged since they had never been done. On the tire already on the balancer the tech only did a static balance on it (one side of rim) instead of a dynamic balance (both sides of rim). I noticed he did not take weights off or put new weights on the other three. I feel I may have been scammed but cant prove anything. In any case the price for a static balance was high since it only involved weights on the inside of the rim. Id be weary of any upsell because of this experience.

They got me right in with no appointment, took an online coupon to make my total charge $20 less than the 3 other places I called and they treated me like they were happy I came in and spent my money with them. Thats how its supposed to work. Good job, Midas.

I go here for my routine maintenance, oil changes, alignments and such. Always right in and out, and always done right. The guys are super friendly and make sure I understand whats going on with my car.

I decided to take my vehicle here after a previous shop could not get my alignment correct. It is to my understanding that this Midas has undergone new management within the past few months. My experience here was nothing but good! I explained to the Assistant manager, Steve my previous experience about my alignment at a different shop. He was extremely understanding. Steve invited me into the shop to explain exactly what he was doing. He personally took his time to do the alignment on my vehicle and get it perfect. He was extremely knowledgeable and truthful. He has definitely earned me as a future customer!

This place has been great to me and keeping my appointments. Great staff and awesome mechanics!! I do not know what this TJ guys issue is but who makes an appointment on a National Holiday? Common sense would have told you that most places are closed New Year’s Day and you should be responsible enough to call and confirm appointment. Anyway, this Midas really is great and I will continue to come back time and time again.

Im finally getting around to this review! Super great place! I was in a pinch and in bad need of new brakes and tires. I called that morning and they were able to get me in that evening. They still took me knowing my work schedule would only allow me to be there close to when they closed. They were very kind, went over everything and offered wonderful customer service despite me holding them up after closing! Life savers! I appreciated it very much!

Said I needed things I didnt need but changed my oil alright

I use to go directly to the dealership for repairs and after my recent visit to Midas I will keep coming back for additional service and maintenance. They are very realistic about time frames and the cost is always fair. They also dont constantly try to upsell you on anything.

Had my brakes, headlight, and oil change done all within a day, quick service, extremely friendly and honest. I will definitely return to this location for anything and recommend speaking with Joe Tharp, the manager. He is great!

This was my second visit. Two different managers both times. The service was outstanding, friendly knowledgeable techs with Tom the manager being an asset. The suggestions of what needs to be done and priorities were pointed out. Both the techs and Tom telling you straight up what is going on letting you decide is refreshing. Dealer pricing but you pay for convenience as well. If corporate Midas is as smart as they think they are, they will keep this team in Medina Ohio.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Midas in Medina. The manager Tom Truce is honest, friendly and professional which is hard to find. After my dealership tried to overcharge me for brakes Tom gave me a good price and was honest enough to tell me I only needed the rear brakes. Turns out my front brakes still have 80% left. The dealership told me I needed new. I was able to watch them put on my new brakes from the waiting area and saw them test it when they were done. I will be taking my car to Midas for everything I need in the future.

I can always count on this Midas to squeeze me in for any last minute thing I need- friendly, helpful, and affordable. Recommend for sure.

What a refreshing experience today getting car repairs. You know it can make you a little anxious. How jerked around am I gonna feel? Not at Midas in Medina. I picked up a nail in my tire and needed to purchase 2 replacements. There was a slight issue with purchasing the tires from their supplier, but the team at Midas did an amazing job compensating me for the inconvenience caused by the warehouse. Their work was great and I loved that they took me into the shop to show me the issue. Ive never been to a place that would show me and explain in such great detail the problem. I will definitely be referring my friends and family!

Absolute lifesavers! I had no idea how bad my issue was when my check engine light came on. I stopped in at 6pm, expecting to make an appointment for later in the week. John offered to stay over to fix my issue and explained everything. I am forever grateful for such amazing service.

I highly recommend that you give these guys your business. I had taken my car somewhere else for new tires and they had contracted out for the alignment and Midas is where I was sent. Upon taking the time to check out my car determined that it didnt need the alignment, they let me know that it didnt need one, and then made sure that they other company knew so that I could get my refund. These guys are stand up guys.

Such a great place to get my car repaired

I have been coming to Midas for work on my car for about two years. I always get great service! This last time I was there I have to say both Garrett and Jaryd went “above and beyond” in giving me great service!! My undershield was loose practically to the point of falling off due to a minor accident I had with the car. They pointed it out and then proceeded to secure it for me at no additional cost! The reason I come to this shop is because I never feel pressured to get the suggested repairs. As a woman, this is hard to find. Other shops tell you it is imperative that any number of repairs be done immediately. I always get honesty and integrity when coming here! Thanks guys! Very pleased!

I have a 10 year old car. It had a check engine light on and other issues I was ignoring. Greg ran a diagnostic and checked out my car. He showed me what was wrong and explained it in terms I could understand. When I was told it would it would be best for me to leave my car overnight I expressed concern that I might not be able to arrange a ride home or to work the next day. Greg said not to worry cause he would drop me off at home and pick me up and take me to work the next morning if need be. This is definitely going above and beyond! My car was ready the next day and is running great. Thank you so much for the exceptional customer service.

I took my car in for an oil change and luckily they werent busy so they took it in right away. In less than an hour I was back on the road. They gave me an estimate for additional work but did not push me into getting that work done, which is doubly appreciated.

My son and his wife had an oil change and brakes replaced on their SUV on January 28, 2020. Well on February 28, 2020 the engine on their SUV seized up due to no oil in the engine. Exactly 30 days after having Midas change the oil in their vehicle. They are still waiting on the General Manager Paul to get back with them on how this situation will be rectified. In the meantime my son and his wife are out of a vehicle and relying on others to get back and forth to work.

Ive had a problem with my brakes squealing and had taken my car to two different places. One said they couldnt find anything (dealership) and the other said I needed new rotors and of course you have to replace the pads too. They gave me an estimate of abt $400.00. I went into Midas in Medina to get an estimate and the guy that inspected my car (Dave) said my rotors and pads were fine, it was my emergency brake. He explained everything to me and the price of cleaning the emergency brake drum. I walked out of there with no squeak, oil change and rotated tires for $149. What a great place. I will definitely get all my work done here!

Stopped by this location on a Saturday afternoon.I was in a bit of a situation: I was test driving a vehicle and couldn’t find a car shop that was able to perform a last minute auto inspection. The shop was extremely busy but agreed to let me stop in.I feel extremely guilty that I cannot remember the gentleman’s name that helped me but he was attentive and informative.He gave me very useful insight about the vehicle and pointed out some problem areas that needed immediate attention. He even helped me form reasonable demands for the dealership. Needless to say, I used his advise and the dealership agreed to redo my brake job and purchase 2 new tires. I would not have known these things if it weren’t for Midas.Thank you for the great service!!!

Everything that Midas fixed on my car has been screwed up. I had to get things redone twice and today I took my car to a different mechanic who found the wrong nut on a wheel bearing, said that my car had not been aligned (I suspected after Midas aligned my car). The people seem nice but theyve screwed up my car and made more hassles than anything. I am a college student and I pay for everything myself, including my education. I work and go to school full time and I dont have time to have my car screwed up every time it needs to be fixed. I will never go back to Midas again.

I do not recommend medinas Midas to any one! I paid for my vehicle to be fixed and it was not fixed. I was lied to face to face? My problem was never solved. The next day I noticed the tire they had to take off was missing 1 lug nut and 2 were only hand tight ready to come off? The side that they worked on I have more noise coming from that side than noise that is coming from the side that is bad. Has more noise coming from it than it did when I took it in. Now I understand why they wanted a payment over the phone so bad. Because I wouldnt have payed if Id known. Customer service was pretty good other than being lied to. I hate to leave a bad review but hope no one els gets fooled. I just dont understand.

The service is amazing and affordable

Had my car in for oil change and to put new tires on. Hopefully the oil was changed because when they were done with the car the TPS light was on and they were not balanced. May have been my fault for not specifying to balance the tires but I would think that would just be part of putting new tires on the car. Got home and filled the tires to the correct level and the light went off. There is now a vibration/wobble on the steering wheel, most likely from the unbalanced tires. Oh well, this is what pushes me to learn more and more about just doing this stuff myself.

Wish they gave u an oil change sticker for when u need your next oil change but instead they give u a sticker with your mileage that its already at, I called to tell them and they told me they always do that and for me to pretty much do the math lol, so I told them isnt that the point of having the sticker so you dont have to worry about it and they said they dont do that here. Very weird.

Had a window on the back of my 5 series bmw come off the track and get stuck in the door. Called firestone and they told me they wouldn’t touch it and to take it to bmw. Called Tom at Midas and he got me right in and his guys got it all better then ever. Even had a good conversation with me while I waited.

I work out of my car so I need it to be in working order all the time. This morning I found a nail in my tire where it couldnt just take a patch. I called my local guy but they were busy until the afternoon and it was only 10am. As I was driving I saw the Midas station and thought Id take the chance and see if they could fit me in. Tom Truce - the manager - got me in and back on the road within 30 minutes. My day was saved! Thanks!

BEWARE, bought tires and had installed. 3 weeks later rear wheel was falling off with broken lugs inside my plastic hub cap. Called them and they claim they didn’t break them (maybe someone tried to steal my tire.) pretty pathetic excuses never will do business with them again !

Im convinced that these highly rated reviews are fake. This company literally stole $700 fromMe by not fixing my car and then giving it back to me. After I filed a complaint with the better business bureau they lied and said they they tried to resolve my issue when I fact all they did was ask me to come back in for an additional charge. Please heed my warning and stay away from these money hungry con artists.Added 9/4/2017 I ended up filing a complaint with the BBB and speaking to the District Manager after this and nothing was ever resolved. They actually thought that i would bring my car back and pay them even more money even though they didnt do what they were supposed to so the first time. Im convinced that all of the good rating on here are from Midas employees and/or friends of employees. I will never go to Midas again, especially not in Medina, Ohio. SCAM ARTISTS!

First off if the people that are working there for whatever reason no longer do i cant go back. there way to down to earth and dont treat me like im a robot civilian like other businesses do other than that fn amazing had $$$$ work done and not one problem since but if u did instead of crying on here they will fix the issue when the work was done did not take them long at all and first thing asked was if i wanted it back that day thats a big plus just to have that option so use to hearing give me a week 👎🏻

Our car started acting up on the highway and this was the closest midas (usually go to the Midas in Mayfield Heights). They diagnosed the problem right away and said they could fix it in a few hours. Even assisted with the enterprise rental car right next door. Thanks for the help, Tom.
