I did a catering order for a family party. Anthony wrote my order down. He was efficient and nice.. He made me feel confident the order would be delivered on time. Delivery driver was a nice man. He did a great job and even delivered in the heavy rain with no complaints. He was very pleasant. Not sure of his name..All food was cooked perfectly. Everyone enjoyed their pizza, salads, zucchini sticks and rice balls. Thank you Medford Pastaria for making my party enjoyable.We will continue to order food at your restaurant. I would love to try your pasta night!!!
Unexpectedly decided to go ( dined in, four in our group), staff was super nice, food was great, nicely portioned, reasonably priced, nice to see menu was not jacked up like most places. Hopefully they continue that way. Great meal, thanks !!

Normally I let one or two bad experiences go, but Medford Pastaria is clearly a sinking ship. The short version is this: the prices have been jacked and the quality & service is not what we have come to expect. My family has been ordering takeout from this establishment for like 20 years and we frequently eat out here as well.Complaint #1: A few weeks ago me and my sister ordered 3 subs from them. We had a coupon and my sister read the price on the coupon when it was ordered. They charged an additional $7 or so without warning me before I rang my card. When I called afterwards and asked what the deal was they simply said the price went up. Even though my sister literally said the price on the coupon while ordering, and they never let us known in advance. Extremely underhanded.Complaints 2 & 3: We had an order for 3 pizzas and some knots last friday. Our wallets wept as they read the total. $24 for a Sicilian with half pepperoni, and $28 (twenty-eight American dollars) for a standard pie with peppers and onions!!! And the reason this is two complaints is because they burnt the hell out of the Sicilian pie. See picture for proof.I usually don’t mind paying for quality, but medford pastaria is trying to pass off mediocre product at premium price. Do you guys realize there’s like 5 other places we can go to instead? Community is all you have.
The food was good, the service was rough. They did not have enough help and our waitress was doing twice as any tables as one normally would. Still had a great meal and would return. They do need to update their pasta night menu though, we wanted to order a specific dessert and most on the menu are no longer included. Still a great deal though.
My husband and I went to eat dinner there as we have always liked it there in the past. We asked the waiter if they still have sangria as it wasn’t on the menu. He said yes and asked if we wanted red or white. I ordered white, my husband red. He served up just plain house wine in glasses with ice. We both ordered chicken Marsala, a favorite of mine, with linguine. The chicken was a plain cutlet, no coating with Marsala sauce. The linguine was terribly undercooked and hard. My husband got angel hair pasta. We didn’t complain though. Last straw was when we got a bil, we were charged $20 for the wine and an extra $5.00 for using a credit card. No where was it posted that they charge a fee for using a credit card. DO NOT go there anymore. Terrible, terrible terrible. Only go if you want to be ripped off.

Restaurant, just thru the door and behind the curtains (did not try the pizza place/part in front) is a great little spot w solid Italian and good portions. Passing through this was an unexpected, satisfying find.
What a great little place for fine Italian food. But, be warned, huge portions will arrive shortly after ordering! I had the fettuccine Alfredo, and added grilled chicken. They served one if the best dish Ive had the pleasure ti enjoy. And very fair prices.. Highly recommend.
I only picked up food for delivery service but the store was clean, organized, and the staff was friendly.
This review deserves no stars. But to post it I have to give at least one.I placed my prepaid order on Slice at 7:31pm. It was delivered at 8:19pm and accepted by my 14 y/o who didnt realized the wings were missing . Call the restaurant back immediately and was told, the delivery person would be back out with the wings and to give him some time. Now here its 8:56pm and still no wings. Call the restaurant back, the person on the other end says, he will be there in a few minutes. So I asked to speak to someone in charge. I was told the manager ( Nancy) left for the night. So I waited and still no one showed up. Call the restaurant back a third time, this time I got an after hours answering machine. They are CLOSED!!Medford Pastaria, your service sucked. If someone came in your store and stole something, youd have them arrested. What happens to something I paid for that was never delivered. In my dictionary that is called theft.
Pizza, entrees all delicious. A Great Panini is all about nice grill pressed Ciabatta bread, they don’t do this. They basically use a pita folded over. Would not buy a panini there again.
Went for dinner last evening.The atmosphere is warm and inviting.Staff was extremely attentive...Anna our waitress was awesome. She knew the menu answered all our questions made suggestions. She was very personable made you feel like shes known you for years. The food was delecious...Truly an enjoyable experience

Good food great polite service clean place the bread and oil was hot fresh baked. The appetizer fried calamari was soft and crunchy, with fresh tomatoes in the sauce, i had the pasta in clams sauce and it was the best, the clams were fresh and tasty, the pasta was very good with the garlic and tomatoes outstanding presentation. The sangria was exceptional, the dessert was awesome lava cake and ice cream, i can not atop talking about the good food at this place they have a bar two fish tanks i recommend you take a drive out east and experience it for your self. From far it looks like a regular pizza shop and then your surprized
Dry over cooked (probably twice cooked) breaded chicken and homemade pasta that was not homemade at all. Didn’t taste good.

This was my first time at Medford Pastaria! It was absolutely amazing! One of my top favorite Italian places! The atmosphere is so cute and cozy! My server Anna was a doll and made delicious cocktails🍸 she was also able to accommodate my order to my liking! She made my mom and I feel so welcomed! We will definitely return!

Wanted to give them zero stars. Got all different types of pasta for family and the food was disgusting. Pasta was not cooked had no flavor tasted so nasty. This happened twice !
Great service. The last time we went we ordered swordfish, it was perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth.Both this time and last time we got the eggplant mama appetizer. Must have food. Could almost be a dish unto itself.The tables were very clean, unlike some other restaurants recently have been to.
$40 down the drain.. Ordered penny alla vodka, They must’ve burned it Then switched the pan, Not edible.Iordered a couple of specialty slices and regular slices Burnt everything Like a piece of leather. Used to be good there now seems like a Bunch of kids that don’t care last few times.
Don’t ever order from them!! I’ve been living in Medford for 1 1/2 years and they have yet to get a delivery order right! EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY DELIVER, THEY LEAVE SOMETHING OUT! Every time!!!!!! And when I call, no one knows nothing, and they say the manager left! Who’s running things there? U would think in these times with Covid, they would go the extra mile to do the right thing to keep there business! But obviously, they don’t care. I’ll never order from them and I’ll tell everyone my development to follow suit! I own a business and I treated my customers like this I would be out of business because I’m 100% sure it’s not only me. I’m sure they never get it right with anyone!!! Horrible Place! This was the worst Italian food I ever tried .. ravioli were hard with hardly any ricotta..The sauce was a terrible Jared sauce and the lasagna wasnt edible...went in trash..bread was hard.. 58 bucks completely wasted will never go again
Pizza was super soggy, couldnt even pull a piece a part with out it breaking. Flavor was good but couldnt eat it because it was wayyyy to soggy.

This should really be 2.5 but I’ll give it a 3 before a 2. My wife and I decided to try this restaurant based on feedback from her friends. I can only assume our experience was abnormal, but am not certain.The good: The food was very good. I had Veal Parmigiana and my wife had Chicken Parmigiana. I had pasta as a side which was good. My wife had the vegetables and potatoes which were excellent. The potatoes in particular stood out. For dessert we had tiramisu and a cannoli both of which were good. The bread was also excellent.The atmosphere was impressive. The work put into making what is a small space feel much larger was excellent. The decor really stood out and it was clear a lot of work was put into it. Sadly their is a big screen TV over what should be a family dining area. This is NOT a sports bar and there is no need for a television in the formal dining area. Move it as it is a major distraction to the half of the dining room facing it.The Bad: Service was a complete let down. It started with an observation upon entering, there must be round table up front for people getting slices but which aren’t in use due to Covid I assume. One is turned over on the other which is perfectly normal for the times. What isn’t normal is for the very first thing you see being 20+ dried chunks of chewing gum on the underside yet now upturned table. Seriously, it is the first thing you see in the door and tells you what attention to detail will follow.Then began a long wait for a hostess to arrive for the couple ahead of us and then us.From there we learned that the reservation we called and made was never written down. We had called 20 min earlier to see if one was needed and was told to be there by 6. I gave my name and we were there just before 6 but no name was in the book. Luckily there was one table left right behind the hostess.Water and bread were brought to the table. We never saw the water again for the next 1:20+ min despite leaving my empty glass at the end of the table. At least I had a glass of wine. The cloth napkin had stains from sauce on the end which look like they had never washed out and were clearly visible before unfolding the napkin for the bread. One more sign of an owner not paying attention to presentation and upkeep. Food came and then dessert but again, service was a rare sight.Because of our seating we were in a direct line from the front door. It is a double door entry to prevent cold air from blowing in but the interior door was propped open. The sun had gone down though and with the temperature dropping every time someone came through the door freezing air would blow directly on us. Given it was evening plenty of people were coming for pizza take out and this happened a lot. I asked a waitress/hostess to please close the door and she appeared to agree. I found out soon after she didn’t and the wind continued to blow through the restaurant. Chewing gum stuck to table “tops” as a welcome, dirty linen, missing water service, and help which gives lip service to stopping the arctic blasts but does nothing... not going well.Finally we have paying the bill. It came fast enough and then it sat there, at the end of the table with credit card projecting for almost FIFTEEN MINUTES until I could finally get the attention of our server. Seriously how hard is this? We are literally trying to give you money and it is the LAST experience you will have with the customer whom I assume you want a tip from and you leave them there for nearly a quarter hour?!?!At least we got to see some man from the kitchen come through several times with his shirt pulled out and unable to cover his bare stomach. Yum, appetizing.This all comes down to OWNERSHIP. The owner is responsible for setting the standard. The employee who flips a table over and sees stuck gum should know to SCRAPE IT OFF. The linen wrapping the food should not be stained, etc. We may try this place again pending future reviews but I have a hard time thinking these issues were new.Update: owner, READ!
Chef and service was off tonight. Soup had unusual spices, francaise was off and server threw away food we wanted wrapped. Had to wait a while for it to be remade and tgey werentbusy. Kicker is bill was $3 more than when originally put on table because we paid with a debit card. Have to wonder about them paying their fair share of taxes.

This place always disappoints. Not even the food but the service. Called in a pie today for pickup. Got there in 15 min and they haven’t even put the pie in when the place was absolutely dead. Then they charged me the wrong amount and the front guy wasn’t wearing a mask over his nose breathing all over people’s food. Didn’t even get some free knots.

We had catering done at our house . Everything was absolutely delicious . Each and every dish was good. I highly recommend Medford pastaria. . They even made dishes that weren’t on their catering menu. We will be going there once the restaurants are open again for dinner. If I could I would give them a 10 star review

What happened to this restaurant? It was a once great neighborhood Italian restaurant that had great entrees, appetizers and desserts, good staff and a lovely atmosphere. A once nicely stocked large aquarium near the entrance now only hosts one fish. This was a bellwether of what I shouldve expected as the dining experience continued. The decor looks worse for the wear. The menu it seems, has fewer entrees than I can recall. Theres a large television at the rear of the dining area whose sound volume was drowning out the ambient music that was piped in. This is an Italian restaurant, not a sports bar. Ill have to find a new favorite in another neighborhood...

Love your to go special I pick up the 10 for 50 but I always get 20 for 100 every 3 weeks. They freeze well and I bring some to my mom who is 85. Clams and linguini and pasta with broccoli and garlic are 2 of my favorites and definitely the cheesecake. Ordering again today with a Margherita pizza my friends heard about you and are coming over to pick up a couple. Thank you Medford Pastaria
My favorite when I visit Long Island. Small but accommodates large groups with the reservation. Great service great food my family considers it our family please. My husband and I pick up the check and find it very reasonable.
Been coming here for years, pizza isnt always great, depends on who makes it. Noticed we most often like the pizza when the bald pizza guy makes it. The counter service is normally pretty terrible. Few rude girls working there. Theres a girl spanish young girl majority of the time who always has a attitude and argues with the older delivery driver often. Dinning room is a completely different experience. Food is amazing, downfall is in the summer dinning room is too hot and in the winter its too cold..i suggest owner spends a few extra dollars and gets a good hvac company to check out his system. Service is always amazing, my wife and i always request the server Amanda shes been there for a long time and seems to take pride in her job shes very on point and knowledgeable about wine and menu, Her and the bus man jose working seem to be a great team in dinning room. Recently see they added a new display case to entrance of dinning room which in my opinion really ruins the dinning room. Overall dinning experience is great if you request Amanda and food isnt half bad!

Wost please that you can go, out side if they mas up on your food they wont apologize but theyre are looking for your money hopefully, they will clean your food before they cook it.
Heard really good things about this place so I decided to try it out. Got the chicken parm and penne a la vodka grab and go meals and ended up being pretty disappointed. I got 1 small piece of chicken and it was extremely overcooked. The pasta wasnt bad but the sauce tasted off.I will give this place a shot again when things are back to normal so I can try it fresh but will not be ordering anymore grab and go meals.

Was good years ago when first opened and owner was present. Got too big and now the food is not the same. Employees seem like they are bothered by customers. Maybe if youre a regular and they recognize you youre treated better? Not a good way to keep customers coming back. I wont be.

I brought two togo platesMussels and chicken parmigiana.The mussel togo plate had like 6 mussels that was closed so had to throw them away. Why even plate that?And the chicken parmigiana was bad the chicken had a nasty taste and the whole thing just smelled sour.I threw the chicken parmigiana in the garbage last night woke up and my whole apt smelling like rotten chicken.So i know that was some bad chicken.Highly disappointed. 🤷🏾♀️

I have been to the restaurant and have ordered take out many times. It’s usually pretty good. One of my guests was craving spaghetti with clam sauce. She was extremely disappointed. She said that the clams weren’t fresh and refused to eat it. How embarrassing for me?! I ordered baked ziti several times and the one time I got it, it was a mistake. I hate paying for food that is not up to standards. I wish the owner would do something about this to clients who frequent the place. It will just make me go elsewhere

Went there for a graduation party. NOT IMPRESSED. Service was barely mediocre. Was supposed to be a party of 38. They set up for a party of 35. Then one seat was under a leaking AC vent. They also decided to seat a party of 4 at an adjacent table. Even though they were short with seats for us. Those people eventually complained that we were too loud and were interrupting their meal. After they were moves to a different table in the restaurant, the hostess allowed part of our party to sit there. It took forever to get bread and even longer to get drinks. The food was decent. However I dont think Ill go back.

Right before i went into the Marines in 2004 my whole family ate dinner here, Waitress overheard why we were celebrating told the owner, He came out at the end and said the bill was on him and he thanked me for joining and said good look to this day MP has always been amazing. You can never go wrong here

We ordered from here last week, had the special 10 for $50. I have to say, the food was disgusting! The chicken was rubbery, the sauces (Marsala & Franchese) were tasteless, and the eggplant parm, if you call one slice of eggplant with barely any tomato sauce and a piece of cheese parmigiana then this is the place for you! I will never order from here again. Save your money and order elsewhere!
This place gets great reviews. I must have caught them on an off night. Ordered a large pie half mushrooms and half pepperoni. For $21 my husband was shocked at how they scrimped on the toppings. The guy next to him told him to not accept it and ask for a replacement. The clerk said if they did that they would have to charge him extra!!! It was late and we were hungry. Got home the cheese and sauce were runny and it was cold. Feel bad for folks that don’t have an alternative in the neighborhood.
My review is based purely on the take out experience here. The pizza was bland and tasteless and almost reminded me of elementary school cafeteria pizza. I’ve had better pizza from every other pizzeria I’ve been to in Long Island. The place was also kind of a mess but maybe that’s because it was a busy time for them. Garlic knots had minimal flavor as well.
I dont know if they were just exhausted from working all day but they were kinda rude. Put a sour taste in my mouth. Good food though.
