All I’m gonna have to say about this place is its 100% hidden gem!!! Everybody in the store is very polite and friendly!!! Not only do they have some of the cheapest sushi but also the best quality sushi even better than what you get it some restaurants!!! This store is 100% traditional Japanese!!!!! Not only is the sushi good here but all the products they sell are excellent quality!! Would not only highly recommend it for sushi but also for all their other products! And on Saturdays they sell and serve excellent ramen noodles for such a great price too! Would highly recommend this hidden gem! Been going here the last few years and will continue!

Ive been coming here for a decade. They are adequately stocked for the Japanese goods almost every time Ive gone. Especially worth stopping by for the sushi take-out counter and the cold case that holds the daily made onigiri (rice balls).

Recently more fresh produce available with the partnership with the local farm, very nice quality. I keep coming back for the shishito peppers. They have quite a bit regional / seasonal specialities like coffee and tea. Prices are slightly higher for some items you may find at a bigger Asian market chain. Convenient along the bus route. Theres a nice park across the street you can eat prepared food outdoors.

A lovely market where you can get some of the most fresh sushi around. They even have Tamago Pan - which is a hard to find sweet baked bread dessert imported directly from Japan.

Small but very well organized. There’s a great selection of packaged goods, chilled drinks and few vegetables. Prices were pretty good, especially for most things being imported. I’d definitely visit again.Oh, they also have prepared foods as well, so you can stop in a get a bite to eat.Parking may be hard in front though, I’d suggest looking for the municipal parking lot at the back of the store or to the left across the street

When i asked the cashier for a mask so i could shop they said pay 13.99 for a full box or they wouldnt serve me. Most places will offer a free disposable mask, some offer one for a dollar to help a customer in need. Ebisuya showed terrible respect for their out of town customers. CVS next door sold me a mask for .75 cents, thats pretty pathetic that a global chain store has better manners than a mom and pop store.

Excellent market. Great variety and love the in-house fresh-made ramen noodles, niku-man, creampuffs, and bread! The sushi nigiri fish could have been fresher but the rolls were good. Curry niku-man is as good as any Ive had in Japan. The creampuffs are quite a treat. And the produce is fresh. Great selection and very clean store!

Easily the best selection of Japanese grocery goods that Ive found in the North Boston area. The staff is also friendly and helpful, regardless of if you speak/read Japanese. Some of my favorite everyday products I can only find here, such as a lovely ginger salad dressing and hojicha roasted green tea. Their mix your own soy sauce station is very cool too, especially if you love experimenting in the kitchen.Their lunch specials are lovely too. Very tasty, affordable, and filling. Get there on time though because they do run out! Try the grab and go onigiri. My favorite is the umeboshi.

Pretty small Japanese market just north of Boston. Good place to grab some authentic Japanese goods. Limited choice of packaged and junk foods. There is also a sushi bar within the market. After living in Chicago area, I have been spoiled by much bigger Japanese markets. This one pales in comparison but it is the only one I have been to in the Boston area.

Love the selection. Very organized and clean storefront in a relatively small space for a market. Some hard to find Japanese kitchen tools and ingredients that you can only get in a Japanese market versus other Asian ones, e.g. both kinds of red bean pastes, kanten tube and powder, though not everything given its size, e.g. it did not seem to stock shiratamako when I visited. Deli has triangle onigiris. Really, really cute ceramics made in Japan. Chopsticks made in Japan. Lots of snacks, staple, and individual servings of frozen fish cuts - that, you dont find everywhere. You can probably get the black cod and make miso cod easily. Prepared uncooked saba as well for pressed sushi. Wish theres something like it closer to the city.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME, AMAZING, FREAKING WONDERFUL! Their selection of ramen is extensive, and the employees are friendly and helpful. They all speak Japanese and English. Their products are all authentic, and delicious. They also have a little sushi restaurant on-site, so if you get hungry while you shop, you can sit down and eat some delicious food. They have a loyalty program, so if you sign up, you can save money, and use it to buy more delicious products! It isn’t too far from Boston, so it is quite convenient to shop there. The prices are also quite reasonable, and the Sapporo Ichiban ramen is only 99c. All in all, this place is awesome!

The store seemed well stocked with ingredients but I was disappointed with the katsu bento.
