Poor communication with sellers; received a text message that the sale would be within a two week window. A text the day before would have been considerate and professional. We would have never known the estate sale had even begun except for the fact that Mark had to contact me to unlock one of the bathroom doors that was under construction. Seems very sketchy when having an estate sale and the sellers are not even allowed to know the exact start date nor be on the premises! Why would that be??? A TV console that was clearly stated in the contract not to be sold but was sold! The only reason we still have it is because my sister went on EstateSales.net and saw that it was sold. I was able to text Mark and thankfully it was not removed from the residence yet. When asked direct questions on how much something sold for we received very evasive responses and a direct answer could not be given. To be fair my mother had a lot of things and Mark put a great deal of effort and time into organizing the sale. But overall when all was said and done not a good feeling!August 24-I think Randall Poffo got it right! Heres a table that was at my mothers house, but a month after her estate sale, theres a table just like it painted green for sale at their antique store. Is this a coincidence?? Ill let it speak for itself!

Pam and Mark are very professional, down to earth, and helpful! I am amazed at how well organized their estate sales are! They take excellent care of the homeowners needs and belongings. If the time comes, I would trust them completely to do an estate sale for me. I had questions about an estate sale that they were having and they returned my call immediately, answered my questions and never made me feel rushed; such good people. (The people who work the sales for them are equally as caring and helpful.) 😊

Ever since Medford Company Store did an estate sale for my family I have become a regular at their sales. I always enjoy saying hi even if I cant stay long. During quarantine it seemed like it was taking forever to get to ANY sales. I have been to every sale of theirs since they restarted and they go to a lot of trouble and they treat everyone well and fairly. I can now imagine how much work it is as I have seen some beautiful houses and I have seen some dumps and somehow they all stay friendly and professional even in the dumps. I am excited about their next couple sales and I was surprised to see negative reviews when I googled them. When people find out the stuff of their familys that THEY dont even want themselves is not worth much, they blame the estate sale company. Mark is a hard working HONEST guy. We got referred by friends who also had them do their estate sale, so I think that says what needs to be said. P.S. one review says they dont make deals (means you want it CHEAP) and one says they keep the big bucks. I saw the house with the bathroom and construction going on - just old lady stuff, but i bought some good books !

Not only are their pieces priced way above retail value (even damaged items being priced like mint condition pieces - at an estate sale!), you’re not going to be greeted by the owner running the sale. He won’t be bothered by making eye contact with you, has no interest in friendly small talk, and has absolutely zero interest in bundling pieces at a friendly price for a larger sale. The other workers seem perfectly nice (hence the two stars instead of one star), but the others are there only to collect cash. I could easily drop a lot of money during certain sales, but, after multiple rude experiences with the owner, I’ve come to the conclusion: their sales are not even worth the stop.I would tell someone looking to hire a company to avoid this guy, as well. I’m pretty sure they have their own antique store that they’re hoping to sell “the good stuff” at. It’s the only thing that make sense: if they don’t sell much during their sales, they can potentially charge a customer more to haul away the leftovers - hell, even if they don’t charge to haul away, they’re making more profit by selling the items retail value on their own time without a split with the customer. Hope I’m wrong about their motives, but I doubt it.

From the buyer’s perspective they’re happy with the items they bought, but I would never use or suggest them to another person who’s hosting an estate sale. The owner is very unprofessional and does not keep track of what was sold. The receipts that we did receive were a large percentage of our total profit, but there are many items left off the receipts. I would not trust This company with my items, I do not know truly how much was sold or what it was sold for, and leaves me suspecting they possibly pocketed money. Not a trustworthy business for people looking to clear out their stuff.

We hired this company to do an estate sale. We were not happy with the communication of when the estate sale started, when it was posted on line and what was sold. Having an estate sale during COVID-19 has its own issues. This company did come in to organize everything for the sale, take pictures to post on line and did spend time. We trusted this company to take care of everything. However, we were never told the date the sale would start nor informed of the site where pictures were posted. By the time we located the site numerous items were sold. However, the owner could not remember what was sold or the amount of money it sold for. When asked questions the owner could not give a straight answer. He was very vague about anything that was sold. Very unprofessional and difficult to trust.

Ive been going to a lot of estate sales and this group of people are my favorite to visit and shop with. They price things right for their customers, and also for their clients. I listen to conversations going on among the customers and also between the staff and customers. I feel appreciated whether I spend $10 or $100. I decided to write this review because I was looking at 300 pictures of their sale that starts tomorrow, which looks amazing, and Im understanding how much work they put into it. My family will be needing an estate sale before too long, and when I see what goes on at some sales, I wont even think about using a different company. Mark and his staff are honest down to earth people.

An amazing store run by amazing people! My mothers estate sale was difficult for me, but they made it as painless as possible, going above and beyond to treat me and the estate with care and respect. At the same time, they took good care of their customers, regulars and newcomers alike. Im involved in the antiques business myself, and I think they did a marvellous job with the pricing and merchandising. They worked their socks off!

This is the best antique store in Medford and the surrounding areas. They always have really cool and interesting things. In addition to just antiques they also refurbish furniture. The staff is very nice, even kid friendly and this store is a lot less expensive than most other antique stores nearby.

Extremely unprofessional behavior, treats customers poorly, responds to complaints with lies and manipulation, personal attacks on customers. I went to one of their estate sales where they had sky high prices on badly damaged collectibles. They made us wait in the cold for several hours while the employees waited in the nice warm house. They could have let the earliest first few of us warm up in the empty hallway- the rest of the sale was roped off anyhow. The hall was empty, and an employee was there all night. They were charging 45 bucks for items that in good condition you can buy on ebay for 10, and theirs were chewed by animals. This is no exaggeration- I have pics. Action figures with missing heads and limbs and no paint were priced higher than mint condition examples online. I offered to help them for free with pricing and valuation- I tried to be polite and diplomatic, pulling their cashier aside & saying it quietly, because I have worked with price guides in the past & have 25 years of experience. I felt bad for the other collectors in line who waited and drove so far only to be faced with terrible condition and preposterous prices. They would not haggle at all. The prices were firm. I later found out that they posted pics to a forum with collectors like myself long before the sale and were warned ahead of time that due to condition they were only worth 1-2 dollars each, except for a few nicer ones, which did not appear at the sale- they had picked them out & sold them prior to the sale. I drove 2 hours to this sale & waited in the freezing cold another 2 hours to be price gouged 45 dollars for 2-dollar beat up stuff. Yet I left them my contact info & offered to help, fearing they would not be able to sell it and it would land in the dumpster. If nothing else where there good spare parts there, which we collectors hate to see discarded. I waited 2 weeks, and they never responded to my notes. When I left them a similar bad review on facebook after giving up comunication, we caught them lying- they first denied any contact, then said they deleted my messages, then they copied & pasted part of my correspondence where I pleaded with them not to just throw the stuff out, as I was certain no one had bought it. They did this in an attempt to discredit me saying that I didnt get the toys I wanted, which is not true. I purchased 5 small items and parts for the same $ I would have spent online from the comfort of my home. Im annoyed at the discomfort, the careless disregard for customers safety & health, and the greed they show the customers in charging 10, 20, and up to 45 dollars for items they knew were only worth a couple bucks due to extreme bad condition. Im not alone in this- there were a few dozen people waiting in line at that sale who experienced the same. What hurts most is that so many of them say they will never attend another estate sale ever, all because of how bad the experience was at Medfords sale. Im in the estate sale business myself, in another region. I do not service this area & have nothing to gain with this review other than warning others of the bad service and callous disregard for their clientele, both customers as well as the estate owners.

I hope you will read the reviews of this company on their Facebook page. This is mine which Im copying right from my original review on Facebook . I only went to the Star Wars estate sale because somebody told me about the Star Wars collection. My dad recently passed and he was the collector. Im learning about it because of the passion he had for it. It was the first estate sale I ever went to. I have to say the people who ran this sale had a BIG job and I was impressed by the way they handled it. The sale started at 8, so anybody who was there at 2:00 in the morning did that because they were greedy to be the first ones in. Nobody made anybody come that early. The pictures I saw on the estate sale site were exactly what was at the sale. Things might have been priced higher than peole expected, but just like flea markets, you know people are going to haggle. I made an offer on some things and I got a deal. The guy who left that ridiculous review was a shi*stirrer out in the crowd and anybody with common sense can see hes just out for some kind of revenge. I came back to the sale on Sunday late morning and bought dishes and a few things my wife wanted. I can confirm there were no toys left. This company did a bang up job. Anybody who hires this company is guaranteed to have a good sale. Nicest people to deal with. The guy with the cool mustach is a very cool guy and I cant believe how he kept his cool . Im sorry that that guy left such a poor review. Thats just nuts. I really want to speak up for Medford Company Store Estate Sales because first impressions are lasting impressions. I too spoke to a lot of people at their sale and their customers LOVE them. Star Wars collectors are a different breed I guess. Im happy, very happy, with what I bought, but if the people Im going to meet as a collector are anything like this guy Dan, I might think twice about trying to complete my dads collection. Im probably going to give it a chance, but if I run into this vengeful jerk I might need to talk to him, but my wife wont want me to.Anybody who would go to so much trouble to damage a hard working persons reputation for these ridiculous reasons has a mean streak and maybe not a soul. He was insulted that the estate people didnt want the help he offered. Why did he want anything at all if the stuff was the way he described it? It just takes common sense to see what lies beneath this.I dont think this company needs MY help either, but Im against bullying on any level and I liked this group right away, so Im doing the right thing by telling the truth. I plan to stop in their store too, when I can get to another one of their estate sales. Go and meet them. Youll like them too and if you need to hire a company to run your familys sale, hire these people.
