Lisa the receptionist was very professional and helpful. I called ANOTHER first company to get a rough estimate of cost because I knew what the problem was. They harshly pushed me to book an appt and told me no one will give me an estimate.Lisa at this company, however, told me that based on the age of the machine and the general description of the problem that the estimate for labor and parts could possibly not be worth the expense of getting it fixed.I might call back for service after doing a little research myself, but it will definitely be here, not at Dillons.

We have had these folks have been here twice in the last year. The first time was for our washing machine and we were told the control panel was going bad and they could fix it for $500...it was actually a blocked water line. The second time, they were here to diagnose our dishwasher and it was supposed to be just a service call fee. The tech, Derek, fixed the problem without telling us what it was or telling us the cost...then handed my husband a bill for $250. That was on May 6th and now less than 2 months later, it is having the SAME PROBLEM. I called for service and was told it would be weeks before someone could come I was explaining that I didnt find this to be good customer service and that we shouldnt have to wait over 2 weeks then the person that answered the phone HUNG UP ON ME. I tried calling back and now they arent answering their phone. THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU AND DO NOT PROVIDE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I came in looking for parts for my washer. I found out that my parts were discontinued. However they helped me out with a refurbished dishwasher for $40less than my parts. I will use them again and refer others because they helped me with what my end goal was. A working dishwasher that day! They are awesome!

A Appliance has been servicing my appliances for 15 years. Today the friendly technician called an hour before his arrival, diagnosed the leaking problem quickly with a stack washer, cleaned the appliance and had the part in stock. Within hours we were back up and running. I have never had a bad experience with A Appliance. Thank you A Appliance for your years of quality service.

Ive dealt with these folks a few times. For the negative reviews let me explain a few things.1. When you buy a used machine it is JUST THAT. USED. You HAVE to accept it may break sooner.2. With many units today where it be a washer, dryer, fridge, or so forth - they are NOT made to last like they used to. This is ON PURPOSE by the manufactures for they do NOT want them repaired but replaced. Remember when a washing machine in the 1970s would just go and go? Do you see that with todays stuff? Never. Dont believe me? Google it and see for yourself.3. With many of the units the manufacture does NOT give a great service manual for the product. Again - this is ON PURPOSE. Remember - they want you to buy NEW product, not fix what you have. Think cell phones - you know when they break you cant fix them? That is what the appliance manufactures want to happen with their stuff.4. I can tell you these guys have ALWAYS given me great service. No, I dont work for them, and no, they are not friends of mine. They try to do their best. That is all you can ask for.Seriously folks, when you complain they made a mistake in figuring out what is wrong with your machine, cut them some slack. They have to work with limited information and their experience when it comes to repairing the new machines.

We were having issues with our dishwasher, and Mr. Craig identified multiple roots of the problem and got everything back in working order. It turned out multiple parts of the dishwasher were burned out and/or broken, and he identified them for us, acquired multiple parts, and got everything squared away. Between multiple components that had to be addressed and new hardware to order, our issues required that he came to our house multiple times and each time he arrived on time and was always kind, friendly, and professional. I would highly recommend this company, and will certainly reach out to A Appliance again if we have issues with other appliances in the future.

Scheduled a service call for my refrigerator. Technician diagnosed problem as a bad control board that he would have to order. Gave him payment that day to include service call charge, cost of control board, and service call charge for return visit to install new control board. The company owner returned to install the new control board and found that the control board was not bad but found a broken wire which he repaired. He did refund the money I had paid for the board but still charged me for 2 service calls. I feel that that if the first technician had diagnosed the problem correctly there would have been no need for a second service call. I presented my feelings to the owner but he refused to refund me the charge of $100. for the second service call.

This is a scam. The number wanted us to give them $15 to diagnose over the phone so they could send us the parts to repair it. If they couldnt diagnose they would recommend a new appliance for us to buy from them.So much for the Christian values their website claims they have.

Very poor repair work. A friend purchased a used washer which quickly broke apart in a weeks time. It started by itself and the agitator came off and threw parts out of the top of the machine. The owner refused to refund the entire amount of purchase. My advise is to Stay Away

If there was a “0” rating, you’d get it. Went in to buy filter when ice stopped making. He says it’s “CRAIG”, 99.9 water valve! I agreed for service after valve was 50., plus 11/2 hr labor. I’m in Mechanicsville. I have post it note stating from him valve was 50.! He replaces, and couldn’t get front off ice maker to speed up ice making and next Co said to assure wasn’t motor! He spends an unreasonable amount of time working invoice. Charges me 144. for valve. Pockets my water valve to reuse, and ice never produces. I refused to pay him 344. Which was 50. For filter included. NO ICE! Husband called him twice, no response. Called another Co who took off front ice maker and said motor bad. New honest Co came with motor in 2 days, charged 109. Labor for 2 trips, and 91. For labor. TOTAL 200.00 TOTAL.CRAIG YOU OWE US 200.00! Your 99.9% thinking valve is my loss! Other Co said if he performed business like you, he’d only need one job a day. He charged 91. Motor, 109. 2trip labor!!!! We’re pursuing court as you are dishonestly ripping folks off! You had your chance to check motor and couldn’t even get front of ice maker off! Pursue another career! RETIREMENT! Yelp, Angie’s, and small claims are customers recourse for crooks!Ps~ wished I had of made you give me my perfectly good valve that went in your pocket!Send me a check for $200. To avoid court! You have ONE MONTH!

I was in need a desperate need for some appliances that just worked. I went into their shop around 3:30 pm one day, and within 1/2 an hour I they helped me get everything I needed for extremely reasonable prices. Extraordinary nice and so helpful. They delivered my new to me refurbished appliances first thing the next morning, hauling them up a gnarly flight of stairs and hooked up my gas stove for me even though I apparently had the wrong fittings. While they were here, they offered workable solutions to other problems that I had. I would absolutely call on them for any future needs and recommend them to friends.

I had a problem with no power on my whirlpool dishwasher. I was able to get a same day appointment which was great. Craig came by and I showed him the dishwasher and he quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it. By the time I was done paying the dishwasher was running through a cycle so i could use it later and he even noticed a problem with the way my dishwasher door was hard to close and showed me how fix that to. Craig was very professional and had everything he needed to fix the issue quickly. I was hesitant after reading a few of the previous reviews but I am certainly glad i ended up calling them.

Bottom freezer door wont shut First visit: made the problem worse after blaming us for it.Second visit: complained the whole time about how WE were doing something wrong and he had it fixed the first time. And proved his point by referring to the second invoice! See, I did put lubricant on the rails! No, he didnt. Two weeks later, door still doesnt seal, call them back and he is RUDE! Do you want me to fix it or not?! And again blames us. This is ridiculous. Home Advisor gave them 4.44 stars - never using Home Advisor or these guys again!

In Response to Part Costs:We stock parts for major brand appliances in our shop, when we need a more specific part that we do not have on our shelves we only order Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. These parts come directly from the manufacturer and are guaranteed a 1 year Warranty. If you choose to purchase after-market parts online or elsewhere, you may be spending less at that time but will most likely end up spending more in the end. Most after-market parts are generic, have no guarantee or warranty and have a much greater risk of malfunction. – A Appliance Repair

I love this company. I had gotten the run around with another company and when my stove needed one more fix I was desperate. I called them and they directed me to the technician who told me how to fix the stove myself very easily. I did not have to pay a dime. I will always use this company. I so appreciate that they could diagnose the problem over the phone and help me fix it myself. What a great company.

Yes I got a next day appointment and then same day service but there was no communication about the markup of the prices (the new ice maker costs $50 and I was charged $160- my fault for not looking up the price sooner- it has been said that you should never trust what you read online). Also, there was a notable extension of labor time (probably took 30 minutes max to install, write the bill, etc.) and we were charged $90 per hour for a noted one hour and a half of service. When I called to inquire about why this was the case specifically since I had only read online how their prices are fair in multiple reviews, the owner said I could have ordered the ice maker myself and then they could have installed it for me. If only that had been communicated before I paid triple the price and for a lot of extra labor time. There was no attempt to appease the customer other than to say well you could have done that. Obviously, I am frustrated and confused as to how all the reviews indicate fair prices. I have yet to see if we have ice, but after two years of no ice maker, waiting another week to see and saving $150 or more would have been well worth it. Luckily, we chose not to have them fix our stove - the price they gave for the part needed was $280 and another local appliance company is ordering it for us for $150. Stove fix would have been a 2 hours labor charge for $180 and we are not sure how long it will take but the time frame we were given was 50 minutes. Lastly, as I was speaking to the manager at A Appliance Repair he mentioned that because they had come to Mosely, Va they had to charge extra because it wasnt even an area they serviced. I live in Mechanicsville where the company is located. This was when he put the owner on the phone. Good luck to future customers. How did I miss Christian Cooks review who agrees that they are ripping folks off? I dont know but unfortunately I did. If the manager had knocked $50 off when I called disappointed like they did for him because of no estimate (which there was no estimate) or just to let the customer know they were sorry the prices were so marked up, you might not be reading this. That would have said we care about satisfying our customers.

They came out to my house to repair my Samsung Frdige when the freezer portion stopped working, but the upper refrigerator was still operational. I was told I would have to replace the main control board. At the time we were renovating the kitchen and had been preparing to move it to the garage. We were going to try to muddle through with just the fridge portion working. That stopped working 2 days later. When I called the company to ask them if I could speak to the person who serviced my unit to determine if it would cost even more than the original estimate, they wouldnt let me speak to him and said I had to pay for another $90 appointment, and they were very rude about it. I dont really understand how companies like this intend to stay in business if they are rude, unhelpful and like to gouge their customers. Thanks but no thanks!

I called office spoke to manager they knocked 50.00 off price cause of no estimate...I would not ever recommend them to anyone. A Appliance Repair came out to my house and had to get a part for my washer before the parts house closed at 5pm. I was amazed that they got the part so quickly. The repair man came back and installed the part in record time. They went over and above to get my washer repaired taht night. Since they didnt have that one part on their truck they offerd me a 20% discount and he guaranteed all his work with a 1 year warranty. This company was very competent and friendly. I will use them whenever anything breaks from now on. They even told me they repair and service my ac and heating system.
