Fantastic and honest service from this location! I stopped in randomly when my check engine light came on and will bring my car here for regular maintenance, or anything else that comes up, going forward. Ken quotes a price and timeframe and sticks to it, he and everyone there go above and beyond! They have all of my business and do great work, highly recommend!

Honesty is not a character trait of the guys at this location. I purchased a car online at an auction and was planning on driving it back to my home that is 10 hours away.I tried to go in there and get a simple inspection and repair and as soon as I left...they called saying my car was leaking fluid and needed a whole new engine. $7,000. No way you can make it home You gotta do thisI stood my ground and just got the minimum repairs I needed. Happy to report I made it home safely with no issues and no need for a $7,000 used engine. I would avoid this place at all cost!

The staff was extremely helpful and professional. They went out of their way to make sure that my car and safety were taken care of when we had a last minute tire problem come up right before a family road trip. 10/10 recommend!!

My wife and I have gone to this Midas for seven years. Literally the best mechanics Ive known in my life, professionally speaking. They clearly communicate what needs to be done, explain why some concerns arent warranted, and work with customers to a happy conclusion for the repair at a reasonable price. They have treated us well over the years, and they do good work. We have since moved very far away, but we actually made a long trip here because the local mechanics we spoke to felt off, and their recommendations didnt make sense to us. We spoke to this Midas again, and they took care of us, giving us an accurate read on what was going on with our car. They dont try to tack on needless repairs or charges. Just great people. The only midas I let work on my car

Midas did a great job! Very quick service!

They completed an oil change and repaired the hub bearings, which was the cause of the ABS light being on. They mentioned nothing about any damage to the struts after diagnostics were run and they called with their price. Only after I showed up to pay for the work was I told there was an issue with the struts leaking oil that would cause the car to bounce and was provided with an estimate for over $1,000. The mechanic who pulled the car around for me to drive home asked if I had hydrolocks put on my Buick Enclave! There was no noticeable bouncing when I dropped the car off. Driving home I realized the extent of the damage and immediately called the Mayfield Heights location i had just left. During our conversation, I’m told it probably occurred when they lifted the car up and that they didn’t notice the car bouncing when they pulled in. I was just on hold for an hour with Midas’s customer service complaint number before I finally got through.

Unfriendly, unhelpful customer service. Went to Mr. Tire instead and had a great experience there.

My husband brought his truck here to get the ball joints on his truck checked. The bill would’ve been high and they could’ve just taken his money. They were honest and told him it could wait and there was no safety issue. They did tell him he needed a tire replaced as that was a safety issue. My husband also had my brakes checked, once again they could’ve just taken our money. They said I had a few months before needed replaced. I appreciate the honesty of all the staff and managers and the realization that money is tight these days during the pandemic. I may not of had services done today but I will be back when they are needed and definitely recommend this Midas to people! Honest businesses like this are a gem!

This was my first visit for an oil change and of course they checked other things. I just like the promptness and how they made me aware of other items that needed fixed. They told me what was a priority and what still had time. A lot of time I get pushy people trying to go in my pockets. Everyone there is very pleasant and professional. Ken is awesome! He made sure I was satisfied and together!

Im usually a skeptic when it comes to automotive repairs and finding an honest mechanic. But after having my truck serviced at the Mayfield Hts Midas I can say Ive finally found an auto shop I feel good about. As soon as my truck was raised I watched all of the guys gather around to check out the problem and figure out possible solutions. The fact that I was allowed to stand at a safe distance and watch the entire procedure from start to finish earned these guys extra points as well. The entire team was very friendly, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Everyone from management to skilled laborer made me feel welcome and that goes far in my book. It was especially rewarding to me to watch as the service techs cut, bent, and welded exhaust piping to fit precisely. I could clearly see the pride taken in their work by the techs making the repairs and that made me feel good. I will continue to do business with these fellas and will refer my friends and acquaintances to this location as well. Tony and his team are a great bunch of guys! Job well done!! Went in to have these guys inspect a car I was about to purchase that was used. Dealer told me it was in perfect condition and it even had a clean carfax. Mr Kenneth Cole and Mr. Kenneth Scott were outstanding in their attention to detail. They found that the vehicle had been in an accident potentially saving me thousands of dollars.I owe you guys a beer when I come home from over seas.

They told me that they would not be able to fix my tire, because the hole was outside the company policy. They could sell me a new one. Or, they said, I might be able to find a service station, that could fix it. Thats what I did. I liked how professional Midas is.

First, I made an appointment and they didn’t even touch my car until over an hour and a half after it was supposed to begin. Then, they told me that they need me to pay $1000 to fix something that didn’t look messed up to me, and that they couldn’t understand the problem I actually came there for. So I drove the car around with them and showed them exactly what I meant, only for them to tell me they can’t fix the actual problem until I shell out $1000 for the other problem. I left and brought my car to a local mechanic instead of a chain (Gene’s Marathon — go here instead) where he assured me they were ripping me off as the parts they were attempting to get me to pay $1000 to fix were completely and totally fine. He then fixed my actual issue in about 10 seconds and didn’t charge me a penny.

Fixed my tire for free!!!

Tony and Eric are awesome to work with and very trustworthy. They tell you what needs fixed vs what will need fixed which is great for budgeting and planning. Never have to second guess their pricing since they are so fair and run a great business!

I scheduled an appointment for 12-2PM for a synthetic oil change and tire rotation based on a coupon on their website. I specified these requests in person when I dropped the car off at 12PM and in writing on my appointment request, but I declined the complimentary inspection. Even though I had an appointment, it took 3 hours to get an oil change, only to find they used conventional oil and did not even do the tire rotation. Employees were courteous and friendly but this is still unacceptable.

Tony is one of best service manager in that I have EVER done business with. I drive for a living and Tony take very good care of my cars. Plus Tony staff has very good Mechanics. Biggest waste of money. These guys are scammers, find a better repair shop. I took my car in six months ago because I was new to the area and needed a new repair shop. I was pretty positive all my care needed was a tune up and a new set of tires. So I bring it to this Midas shop and they tell me if they run the diagnostic that it was like a $80 charge if I did not get it repaired there. I was okay with this because I had already gotten the car scanned and was sure it was my spark plugs. So Midas runs the diagnostic and finds it is the spark plugs and then proceed to charge me $400 for a tune up. And one of my spark plugs they didnt even replace because they ran out and said mine was still good. They also put the new tires on which were about $400 as well. I was told the tire has a 45,000 mile warranty. Well soon as I pick up my car I notice my engine light is still on, so I go back in and ask them about it, because at the time the only code was just for my spark plugs. So they come and run another diagnostic and tell me that a new code is showing now for my catalytic converter and quoted me another $1,000 to fix that. So I knew then I way done with this place and they had just in a way robbed me but at least i had new tires. Fast-forwarded 5 months and my tire mysteriously goes flat one night as I slept. It is still pretty much a brand new tire and when I called Midas about it they told me I had decline the road hazard insurance and Im screwed out of a tire. Going here was the worst thing I ever did for my car and my wallet.

Ever since we had to have them replace an entire engine, they have been our go to mechanics; new tires, oil changes, tune-ups, second engine replacement (different car) even headlight replacement. They are knowledgeable and honest. We never feel like they are trying to sell weus something dont need. I have and will continue to recommend them to family and friends.

I was going our of my way (another Midas is within walking distance) for the perceived, better surroundings & generally comfortable venue.But they turned me off with problems scheduling an alignment & then the lack of professionalism when there was a problem following service.

Been there twice and great experiences both times. Ken, owner, is very personable and efficient, and his team is glad to inform you first-hand issues that may or may not need to be addressed. Feel that everyone is honest and straightforward. They even dropped me off and picked me up at home while my car was worked on. Will gladly go back again.

Worst experience ever! These people are professional scammers. Took my truck over there for a check engine light, got diagnosed with leaking manifold gasket. I got it fixed for $950 and guess what happened, 100 miles down and the same check engine light turned on with the same code. I went back to confront the manager and he claimed that he told me that it might not work. Not very professional! Why sell me something that might not work from the beginning. After 20 minutes of arguing I gave up and took my car to a different shop. Save yourself a headache, time and money!!!

Midas has never let me down when I go to get oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups on my car. Prices are reasonable and theyve only come to me a couple of times when theyve found issues that really needed fixing. I dont feel like Im being haggled to fix things that are perfectly fine, which is awesome. Highly recommend!

These guys are amazing! They go above and beyond everytime we are there. I often wait for the work on my car to be done with my 2 kids (under 5) and they are beyond accommodating. They encourage my kids, encourage me, turn on cartoons, help me load up my car, let us take over their waiting room, and so much more. Cannot say enough about how supportive they are or about how extremely helpful they are for our family. And they take great care of our cars too! We are so thankful to work with a repair shop that is so understanding and great for families!

Had a great experience there a week ago. Needed an oil change desperately, they squeezed me in (and finished within an hour) even though they were very clearly very busy. Honest recommendations, very nice, and extremely polite to boot. Ill absolutely be back. Great job guys!

Rip off

I drive from the west to east side almost every day for work so when I got a bad flat on my way in I was worried about being able to get into a shop on short notice. I called Midas because of their excellent reviews on here and they did not disappoint. Tony assured me over the phone that they’d be able to get it done same day and quoted me a very reasonable price for a set of 4 new tires (all wheel drive is fantastic but it comes with a price) and told me to bring in my car at my convenience. They were even nice enough to drive me back to work and come pick me up when my car was finished. I would absolutely recommend these guys and use their services again.

Have been there a few times, the customer service is definitely good. The managers are all very nice to talk to, they explain and show you whats wrong with your car. The waiting room is also good, has TV and magazines to kill time, asking if temperature is too cold. Three stars is because the fixes are a little over priced, spent over $600 to have an oil pan changed. Have done other similar fixes before, but the cost is much cheaper than here.

Its very easy to criticize, but its more important to compliment. My Acura had an obvious brake issue. I called, spoke to Tony, who offered to get me in right away (unusual, by itself). The next day worked better, so off I went (grinding brakes and all) in the morning. No more than 15 minutes after arrival, the car already was on the lift, the wheels off, and the diagnosis of the need for only rotors and pads were made. No attempt to upsell or convince me that I needed more. The estimate was reasonable and the work proceeded quickly and competently. I asked Tony to pop the other 2 wheels off to see what those brakes looked like (no symptoms, but why not). I was told that they were like new, again demonstrating their business honesty. In and out, the whole thing took about 90 minutes and Im very satisfied. You should feel quite comfortable taking your car to MIDAS. Thanks, guys, for the great job!

They double the price of dealership parts for your car. Including labor fees & taxes its a rip off in my opinion and dishonest price.

Horrible exhaust pipe installation and over priced! They used clamps instead of welding which lead to old exhaust pipe to break. Went back to get it fixed but they wouldnt work with me unless I pay more. The cost would of total over $600 for crappy exhaust pipes and work. No thanks. Look elsewhere for quality work and better pricing.

Tony! I almost never have a bad experience at this Midas. Tony is very direct and will let you know what you need and what maintenance can be postponed until later. Fortunately Im usually there for oil changes but for the maintenance I have needed it has always gone well. I needed to drop my car off after hours so I dropped my keys in the drop box for the morning. I had my car towed here because I had a transmission leak and all of the fluid escaped. Turns out my transmission lines had rusted. When the work was all done I had actually questioned Tony about it because I recall being there for something 2 or 3 years ago also related to my transmission and I thought they replaced the lines then, too. He showed me on the screen in the service history that it was actually the transmission cooler they replaced back then but not the lines. He probably told me then they were rusting which is why it came to mind. Either way I appreciate that Tony cares about me as a customer and isnt like some other shops just trying to bleed you of your money.

My car was shaking on the highway so I called them right away. They ended up balancing my tires and fixing a caliper in my brakes.The staff was so nice and thoughtful! The estimate I received was reasonable for the work and I will definitely keep coming back! I usually only get my oil changed here but now I will come here for service as well!

Parts of my exhaust system were rusting out and every place I took it said theyd have to replace the entire system, but mechanic friends said that wasnt necesssary since the muffler and catalytic converter were still fine. No one was willing to do the work - but Tony took a look at it, honed in on the main problem and less than an hour later my system was fixed at a savings of $800! Professional, honest, outstanding. I had oil change with tire rotation and air filter replaced. After the service I felt something was off with the way my car was driving. I checked tire pressure, it was 39 instead of 32 in all tires. And I noticed they did not do tire rotation! I decided to check if they replaced air filter or just charge me. The air filter was new, thanks Midas.

I went to get my truck looked at. I told them i wanted all the lights and error messages cleared as i woul . E selling it. the employee Kenny informed me it would be a $80 diagnostic fee that would be waved if I got something fixed. I said ok. He then called back with 2 issues a control arm and tire sensor. I choose to get the tire sensor replaced. Kenny then said i would still need to pay the diagnostic fee because the tire issue was a seperate issue. How is the tire seperate from the truck? Makes zero sense after arguing for 20 min he told me to just come get my vehicle and hung up. Very rude on the phone kept saying. I JUST TOLD YOU! rude very bad customer service. Go elsewhere!

My daughter brought her car in for an oil change. When she got home and shut the car off, oil started leaking everywhere. We called Midas and they sent a tech out to where she works to take a look at it. They told her that everything was fine and that she had several major oil leaks. This vehicle never dripped a drop until she brought it to Midas. I noticed that it didnt leak when I started it but when I shut it off, oil started pouring out through the dipstick. The thing that makes me mad is the fact that they sent a tech out to look at it and not only did he NOT top off the oil, he failed to notice that whoever did the oil change ran the blow by tube through the air cleaner housing and crimped it off. We ended up paying double for the oil change because we had to add 4 quarts of oil to it after I fixed the problem myself. As you can imagine, Im quite upset as this simple process end up costing us more time and money then it was worth. I certainly would not recommend that anyone take a vehicle here for service and I am contacting the better business bureau.

I gave midas a call. Customer service was very knowledgeable and friendly. I advised them that i needed a blower motor replaced. This was a Saturday morning. they said we could come in at any time. We arrived at 10am when we got there within 2 minutes they took our keys and pulled the car in they said they would call within the hour with a diagnostic and price and sure enough they did. service and repair was excellent. It was ready by 1pm they had taken pictures of what caused the problem so that i could see for myself.and I couldnt have been happier. Thank you Tom!!!

Hi my name is Ebony Colvin and Im writing this review because I received excellent customer service at Midas located on Mayfield Rd near Giant Eagle Grocery store and GoldenGate shopping plaza. On 7-24-2015 I had to go in and get my front and Rear Brakes repaired. Honestly I thought I would only need my front brakes repaired. I looked up a coupon online for 50% off Brake Service per axle which gave me $50.00 off my front and back brakes. That was without getting rotors which I was given a quote for $60.00 per rotor. The gentleman that greet me was very nice. After sitting for 10mins they let me observe what needed to be fix. I was in complete shock when I discovered that my back brakes were horrible and my front brakes were done for. The service team were very concern for my safety. They explain to me the several options that I had but also explain to me that my brakes needed to be repaired all the way around. I was quoted $587.00 for my front and rear brakes that included rotors. I express to them I could not afford that and they were willing to charge me $503.00. They EXCLUDED the labor!!!!! Talk about your customer service. Overall I saved $187.00!!!! This was with the coupon and the additional $87.00 the gentleman knocked off because one of the service techs was kind enough to not charge me for labor. My appointment was at 9:30am and my appointment was completed by 12:00pm due to the wrong part being delivered.While waiting for my car I was offered coffee and the gentleman turned down the central air because he notice I was cold. They made the wait extremely comfortable.They road tested my car to make sure my brakes were working properly. The service tech noted a rattling noise when test driving my car. Checked my car and noted it was a shield piece that some how came a loose and he removed the piece free of charge. I am very please with Midas. They are awesome. I thanked them over and over for being so kind and helping me keep my cost down. I would reccommend anyone there. You cant beat the customer service they provide. They are honest and willing to work with you. I turned down Mr. Tire (who I normally go to for service) and Im glad I did!!!!!!!

DO NOT Trust this Midas touchHeres why...Came to Midas on December 7th for new tires. After they checked out my car before they even installed my tires they called to say I NEEDED*Front & Rear Pads $624 going to start grinding soon (was told by Chevrolet dealer 40% left on Front and 60% on rear. about a week b/f)*Motor mounts $461 (not for that price)*Tie Rod $144 which I did have them replace but when asked if I was able to see old part they couldnt find itHere is the kicker I did NOT get the Warranty on tires however I must have a slow leak in one of my tires. Well they want to CHARGE me to re seal the tire & to rotate all because Im 6 days (less than 1 week) over the normal 90 day Warranty. Nice JOB Midas & crew. Real poor customer service. Do yourself a favor before you get anything done have a second opinion Never know what you need fixed now and what REALLY can wait ;)
