I dont know the guys name that helped me today, but they all were greatly appreciated! I was driving on the way to St Charles Hospital from Defiance to see my mom. It was raining and my wipers stopped completely. I stopped in to see if they could help. They got me in and fixed right away! There was something loose in the motor.It was greatly appreciated! I took my vehicle here to have the power steering pump replaced on June 2nd. It went out on June 3rd. They said it was a bad pump. They replaced it again. We drove to Michigan on June 5th for a party and as soon as we reached our destination, the pump went out again. No power steering at all. We had to have our vehicle towed from Dearborn, MI back to Midas. They ended up keeping our vehicle for almost a month and could not tell us what the problem was. After already spending $800 for the pump, They tell us it will be another $1800.00 for a new pump and a rack and pinion. We came to get our vehicle to get a 2nd opinion and they had lost the keys. We ended up getting the vehicle fixed somewhere else and realized the engine cover was missing. They still had it and looked at me like I was crazy when I had to come back to get it. The District Manager does not want to give us a refund for the $800 we spent or any portion of it. He is asking for the pump back to investigate it. Who keeps an old pump weeks after it is fixed? I would not recommend doing business at this location. P.S. it was not the rack and pinion, it was the pump and hoses.

They did the front brakes on my 535xi. They recommended pads only and did not try to upsell rotors.

They fixed the problem but charged alot. They welded a small pipe and were done in under 30 minutes . Charge just over 200 bills. Thats 400 bills an hour. Thats for one mechanic.

Im very disappointed with the service I received here for not only my car but for my husbands car also. They messed up several basic things and when we brought it to their attention they proceeded to argue with us. When we told them we would never be coming back their response was okay thats fine. Very rude and unprofessional!!!!

Dishonest at best, was told several oil changes ago that I would need brakes replaced at my next oil change, at my most recent oil change they told me brakes were at 50%, also day after my washer fluid went empty which leads me to believe that they really don’t top off fluids. Also try to sell you unnecessary services.

I had a transmission fluid leak and needed a new front axle seal. Had that repair done but it still leaked. Took vehicle back to same Midas location for repair. Work was done second time but leak still occurred again. I was on the road with the leak becoming worse so I had to stop somewhere else and pay for repair again. Very poor service quality at Midas.

Do not take your car here for any serious work (i.e., not an oil change or tires). The employees are friendly but the work is shoddy.Took my car in for an oil change and to check some noises, was told I needed a new water pump. Later that day, after they did the work, the fender well liner detached while I was on the highway--terrifying!!! I found out they had to detach it to change the water pump, but did not replace it correctly. They replaced it and reinforced it for free, but that did not make me confident in the quality of their other work, so I vowed never to go back.Fast-forward 6 months, took my car to the dealership for some issues, where they found a problem with my rear brake and running lights. Turns out that when Midas replaced a burned-out brake light, they didnt do it correctly, so I had to have additional lights replaced. The dealership also investigated another strange noise I was hearing in my car, and found that a bolt had been broken and the car was unsafe to drive. They asked, Did you have the water pump replaced? Indeed I had, and the dealership said they couldnt prove thats what caused this problem, but they couldnt rule it out either.Definitely never going back.

Got a GPS installed in and out within 30 minutes

Got my struts and brakes and rotors done for a very hefty cost, as suggested by their diagnosis. I get it back and now theres a sound from the left front tire that wasnt happening before so I took it back and now they tell me I need a wheel bearing replaced for 500$. This sound was not happening till I got it back from them

As a new car owner I was really upset that my tire had a slow leak! Midas got me right in, told me they would get me an estimate ASAP but instead, to my HUGE surprise they fixed it for free!! Staff was amazing! Very courteous, efficient and HONEST. They certainly could have charged me for a repair since I have no clue about tires but they have integrity. I will certainly tell everyone I know to use Midas in Maumee for all their tire needs.

Typical auto shop full of con-artists. After my oil change, I suddenly didnt have a drain plug, didnt clean the oil filter AT ALL, filled it with the already old, dark oil with just a little bit of new oil, causing my car to leak oil like crazy the next day. Took it to a different shop for it to be entirely fixed costing a couple hundred dollars. Dont go here unless you enjoy doing business with dirty thiefs. Also, dont fall for the overly jolly bald guy at the front desk. Great technique to lure people in.

Wanted to upgrade my exhaust on my 2002 Yukon XL. I did so and although the flowmaster muffler sounded great, it created way too much sound/rumble in the cabin at highway speeds. I went back to see what they could do to help me out. They were great and understood and did what they could, cost wise, because it was my fault in the first place.Great attitude and customer service and I recognize it because I am a service tech in another trade.Thanks guys!

They take your car in, which was in good shape and bring it out worse than you gave it to them. I went there to get my exhaust and Ac checked. They made me buy a new exhaust set, damaged my oil tank in the process, collected money for the Ac but didn’t get it fixed! They then make you feel that the car is so damaged so that they can get as much money out of you as they can. You end up making numerous trips down there. They are all about money. Be careful when you take your car to them.

They didnt properly reassemble the air filter box. Then the second time they used my lug nut key and forgot it on a lug nut and I almost drove away with it on. Which would of flew off while I was driving and been lost, or even hit another car. They definitely dont pay attention to detail. The only good thing is they are friendly and remembered my name.

I was in last Monday for and oil change and upon inspection I was told my car needed new rear shocks since they were leaking along with a new serpentine belt as well since it was worn. Well I thought it was odd since I had just had my brakes replaced not too long ago at another service place in town and I was never told the shocks were bad. So I took my car to another car repair shop and had it checked out and turns out there is nothing wrong at all with the shocks or the serpentine belt!!!! Midas straight out lied to me about repairs that did not need done at all and even worse is they gave me an estimate that would have been $700 to replace shocks and belt with labor!!! That’s insane and just horrible business practice! I will never return to Midas for anything at all and I will make sure no one I know ever returns there for so much as even an oil change after they tried charge me for repairs that were not even needed!

Took my car in to look at a flat tire. Brad and his team were timely on this, and explained that we needed a new rim and 2 front tires. They also alerted us to some other service work that was needed - they explained this all to us and were able to complete the work all on the same day. I appreciate the timely response -- prices fair for the work that was done. I have always had good luck at this location - the current team seems to be carrying on the good work.

Took my wifes van in this weekend to get a flat tire repaired. Waited for an hour which wasnt bad on a Saturday morning. Brad looked at the tire and said it couldnt be repaired because of the placement of the hole. He showed me exactly where the hole COULD be in order for them to replace it. At first I was told (by someone else) that they didnt have the tire in stock and I would have to come back Monday. I explained that that would be tough as the tire wont hold air longer than an hour without going flat. Since I had the Roadside Insurance and knew there would be a prorated cost, I didnt want to take it elsewhere and have to pay full price for a new tire. Brad came over to the desk once he heard me voicing my opinion and said he would see what he could do. Brad immediately got on the phone and found me a tire. he said to leave the van there and it should be ready in an hour. I drove home in my truck and 25 minutes I received a call from Brad saying the tire has been replaced. Great customer service! I would surely support this Midas location in the future. Very much pleased.

Oil signal was not reset... About 5 weeks after oil change, we had our oil checked by a mechanic while having our car worked on and were told we needed oil again yet we had no leaks in our vehicle.. disappointed,only thing i can say is they were friendly but the service was not quality and i will not be returning for any of my vehicles.

The Midas crew have consistently always given me their expert opinion and advice.Today, I had to get tires for my car. I wasnt excited about it but knew it had to be done. Bradley directed me consider all of the options available. What I was surprised about is that he didnt try to oversell me or pressure me into anything. We always look for a place to find Automotive work to be done quickly and at a fair price. However we should consider the Integrity of the people we do business with. I find that to be lacking at this place. It is sad when you find a place of business that covers up mistakes to avoid warranty issues. My experience was not good.

Midas is a joke. Please for the love of god don’t go there. Charging over $500 for an alternator and over $800 total for the alternator and labor, when the Oriellys down the street that they buy the part from sells that part for less than $200. You’re a scam.

My service here was awesome, I came in for a oil change and they noticed I need some brakes done on my car, I was kinda skeptical at first them they showed me around my car and what was going on, the skepticalness instantly went away once I seen what was going on. I was pressed for time having to get back to work and they got my brakes and oil change done and I got right back to work on time, service was great I bought the guys a pizza for lunch. They are more than willing to help, they beat the local shops prices and got me in a out. If your feeling skeptical about something their telling you, just ask them to see it and they will be more than willing to show you. Great group of guys.

Terrible customer service. Pulled in for walk in service for oil change tire rotation. Should take 20 min. Not a garage bay had a car in it. Fella comes up and says 2 hour wait. I said For an oil change? You dont look very busy. He said We have appointments and walked away. Never going back. Had work done about 15 years ago. Super long wait, overpriced, and subpar craftsmanship. Thought I was never coming back. Now I know Im never going back. Dont go! Valvoline is right around the corner for simple stuff.

My car tire had a slow leak so I took my car in to get the tire repaired. The issue was with a side wall which they couldnt repair. The Mechanic showed me the slow leak area and didnt charge me. Although I would have liked to get my tire repaired the team couldnt have been any more nice. I asked if I could get a new tire from them and since they didnt carry my model they recommended I use someone else.

I give this Midas location a 5-thumbs up! This past holiday weekend my daughter and I broke down right at the toll booth coming off the turnpike. We are from Michigan and were spending the night at the Holiday Inn nearby. I was in tears when the toll booth people pushed my car off to the side of the road and left us. I called my insurance co. and managed a tow to a nearby Midas. We got there around 2:30pm and the manager said he did not have a mechanic available that day. I burst into tears because I did not know how we were going to get home! He and MIke evaluated the problem and found out I needed a new alternator. He said he would do the job himself if he had to and thus began the work. We were only there a little over an hour and it was done! Such a nice man and Mike was nice too! Words cannot describe our gratitude as we would have really been in a jam! Thanks again...you are the greatest!! Wish you lived in Michigan!

I truly wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars because I have never had service this excellent before!!! From the moment I walked in, the guys were really helpful and friendly and Bradly went above and beyond to help me get my car fixed and safe for the road for me and my boys. He even told me about and helped me apply for their financing!! Then, knowing i wouldnt have a ride home, which is 45 mins away, called enterprise and had them come pick me up so i could get a rental easily! This will now be my shop and I even have my mom excited to come here as well. I am seriously blown away with how awesome this place is! I like the fact that the staff always explains what is going on with my car and what it needs. I even took it to them after another place told me I needed an air filter and was going to charge and exorbitant amount for it. Midas told me I could wait and the filter was not nearly as much.

I recently went too Midas Brakes in Maumee Ohio where I spoke with the store manager Bradley and asked if he could re-balance my new tires he told me no he wasnt going to do it because they were new tires I called the district manager Jay and after a heated conversation he Banned Me from calling and going to Midas Brakes. The best thing that could have ever happened to me. Although I did get my tires rebalanced at a different facility just down the road from Midas who seems to be busy all the time and found out two of the four tires have lost their weights. Ever notice how Midas Brakes parking lot is usually empty. Just received a response from the owner. See below. I called Midas Brakes customer service line to file a complaint and called up the chain of command and not one return phone call

I originally thought this was going to be great, but it turns out it is a car mechanic cliché. A quick Google search of the prices I paid told me I was overcharged. I HAD insulation under my hood by my engine cover that was taken off and never put back on. Nobody will even acknowledge it existed even though every member of my family has seen it (it came with the used car). There are still pieces of it under my hood by my battery and the outside corner but the bulk of it is gone. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else!

Bradley is the man to talk to! He really helped me out being in a pinch. When i asked if the work he said that needed to be done was necessary, he didnt hesitate to take me out and show me exactly what was wrong! Ive never had any other mechanic shop personally show me or have me feel what is going on. If youre looking for affordable good quality work, come to Midas in Maumee.

I was traveling from Mass to Mich alone. Got a flat in Penn. Someone was kind enough to stop and replace with spare. Got into Ohio and the tire had loosened up. Pulled into Midas in Maumee, explained my situation and I was in and done within 45 minutes. I purchased a new tire to replace the spare and they changed tires around as needed for a better ride. I made it home in MI that day. The manager and the crew were great, fast and kept me updated while I waited. Awesome, A#1 service! Thank you.

Went in on two different times in the same day even made an appointment. They put people ahead of me and told me it would be 3 more hours. They were not apologetic or anything.

We drove into Maumee to meet family, then rode with them on a week-long trip. Upon our return, our car would start, but the engine would die after a second. After several failed attempts to get it running, we had it towed to their garage. Once there, the Midas folks were able to get our car running without needing to work on it, but they went ahead and did diagnostics on the battery and alternator anyway and didnt charge us a dime for the labor. We were able to drive home the same day. Thanks, Midas!

20 minute tire repair. Great staff and quick work

I have going to this location for over 6 years and I am sorry to say I won’t be back. Every time I schedule an appointment they are late bringing my car back, don’t see the point in scheduling appointments if they don’t mean anything. They always try to sell more than what is necessary. One time they told me that my brakes were so bad I had to get them done today, or I’d be in trouble (over $900 quote). I had my husband do them that day and they were nothing like they described. Not the same service I used to get.

Ive been to other places for repairs and had to go back. Ever since Ive been using Midas in Maumee, Ohio Ive never had a problem with the work theyve completed. It is a little more pricey because the mechanics are ASC certified. Id rather be safe than sorry. They also let you know what needs fixed right now and what can wait until later. They let you make the choice on whether or not to fix everything theyve found wrong with your vehicle. Ill never go anywhere else (if I can help it).

On 12/21 I took my 08 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a brake job. (Pads, 4 rotors, and 1 caliper). This morning, 12/31, I discovered an issue. Returning to the shop they went above & beyond what I expected to make it right. My first experience with this shop won’t be my last.

WOW! I do not typically write a review for places like this, but these people deserve some recognition! My experience at this Midas location was amazing, thanks to Gary and the mechanic that night. I have never been treated so important and kindly during my auto repairs. I was really in a pinch with time and getting my car into a shop was hard for me, but somehow they still managed to squeeze me in before they closed! I have never seen 2 harder working individuals to get a job done, I watched them from start to finish and their efforts were impossible to ignore. I will continue going to this location, every location is unique and the experiences you get are all about the people working there. THIS PLACE HAS GREAT PEOPLE! As long as this location stays managed under Gary I will always recommend it. Thanks again for the amazing service!

I only give a two star because despite their lack of understanding they were polite. I took my car in because my clutch cable was frayed by the pedal and the clutch wasnt disengaging so I believed it needed to be changed. I take it in and explain my problem and they said they would take a look at it. They pull it in popped the hood and did whatever they did. They came back 10 or so minutes later and said that it wasnt the clutch cable it was the clutch itself. If they would have seen the frayed part they wouldnt of said that. Also even though they said that it was the clutch itself, they werent able to fix it even if I wanted them too. So I drive off looking for a second opinion. The next day on my way home from work my cable completely snapped. If the clutch cable was fine, then why did it break the next day???

Took my $800 and didnt fix the problem I came in for. Only recommend for cheap oil changes.

Lol this place is a Joke should of listened to the reviews but thought I would give it a chance. I called and set an appointment for 2pm. I get there at 2pm he says sorry there are 2people in front of you you are going to have to wait at least 45min to actually get serviced. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT HERE IS POOR. They clearly do not know how to manage a business. Whats a business if you dont even know how to set up an appointment for a customer if its the same as walking in with no appointment needed. Clearly someone is allowing people to work at this business without basic management skills, I will NEVER in my life go to this location unless I want to set an appointment and wait 45min to an hour just to get serviced than wait another 30min to an hour all to just get an OIL CHANGE. Which is perfectly fine just know how to schedule an appointment and let customers know that the appointment you are scheduling is the same as just walking in without an appointment. Please if im in the wrong someone please explain to me what an appointment is if its the same as a walk in. Or better yet please explain to the gentleman working there because he clearly has no idea what the difference is. Do they even train people how to do the basics at jobs anymore?????
