I have to admit we have not had a lot of service done at KC Summers- Mattoon, however, what we have had done has been excellent. I especially want to mention two young men we have recently dealt with have been so very polite, professional and friendly. They are in the Parts Department, Brandon, and Repair Department, Dom. I have been in varying roles of customer service all my life and I gave excellent customer service, therefore, I expect the same. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. They so deserve it. We will be back.

Oil change and tire rotation took 45 minutes which is no big deal, but the waiting 40 extra minutes for them to figure out where my car was, was irritating to say the least. The part that really made me mad is the piles of white powder all over the hood. So much for treating peoples vehicles with courtesy and respect. I wont be going back there!

Dishonorable business! I found a pre-owned vehicle i wanted online. Called before I even left to verify it! Drove 2 hours to the location to be told that wasnt the price of the vehicle. It was a typo and nothing could be done about it! WHAT!?! SERIOUSLY! Your screw up and there is nothing that could be done!? Own up to the mistake and honor it! Already contacted a lawyer and seriously debating on pursuing it! Looks like I might be getting a brand new vehicle now! Guessing you should stand up to your mistakes!

Ive never purchased a vehicle here, but I do search their website often since I am in the market for a newer truck. On Saturday of last week they listed a pre-owned truck I am interested in seeing privately. Here it is Friday, a week later and they still dont have pictures of the vehicle on their website. Ive driven around both of their lots trying to find the truck to determine if its something I want to call a salesman about, but of course the vehicle cannot be found on either lot yet its still shown as available on their website. Why not post one picture of their new vehicles when they come in and say more photos coming soon? Im not going to call a salesman and be pressured about a truck Im not interested in until I see the condition it is in in a photo.

Went to KC Summers on Wednesday 1/20/21. My sales person helped me find the perfect vehicle. I applied for financing but all of the loan officers were gone for the day. So they let me drive the vehicle home to show my wife. She loved it.........so on 1/21/21 we drove it back to KC Summers and found out about 8:30 that morning that I had gotten approved for financing with no down payment. They made us feel like family. I will be doing my business there from here on out.

I traveled to KC Summers from Roswell Georgia for a great deal on a very gently used vehicle. The whole experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Bob Janes picked me up from the airport & brought me to meet Jeff White & my new vehicle at KC Summers in Mattoon. I purchased my car a year ago from Braxton. He was extremely helpful in finding the exact car I was searching for. He has continued to help me to this day with every question or concern I’ve ever had. If he doesn’t know the answer, he goes out of his way to find somebody who does. I know I can text him with anything (and everything lol) and he will get back to me immediately. He truly goes above and beyond!!I’ve had my car serviced at this dealership multiple times over the past year. Chris takes care of everything I need and is absolutely wonderful to work with! The issues with my car had nothing to do with the dealership, but Chris was always willing and able to contact Toyota directly and work to resolve the issues. He was able to provide me short term fixes while investigating the issues further. I am extremely happy with my experience working with Chris. He understands the frustration on my end and does whatever it takes to make it right. I truly appreciate all of his help and patience!

I recently had a recall on my Nissan truck and Pat Renfro set up a time to pick up my truck at my house and left me a loaner for the day and then delivered it back in the evening. This is not the first time and Pat did not sell me the truck. I visited KC Summers yesterday with the intention to look at a new vehicle. When I arrived and walked through the building I noticed that none of the employees were wearing masks. When I asked the young girl at the desk about it and she said they didn’t have a policy. At this point I chose to leave. I was rather disappointed. I had seen recent posts on their Facebook page with employees wearing masks. Was this just for show? I’m not certain but pretty sure you can’t contract COVID through Facebook. I was disappointed to see that they were not concerned and seemed to not be taking COVID serious or providing a safe environment for not only themselves but their customers.

We got our car from another dealership, I never thought about checking mattoon out. After our first visit here this is the only place we take our car to for any work that may need to be done including regular maintenance. Their service department is amazing and does a great job taking care of you. Ive since recommended kc summers to 3 other people who ended up buys vehicles from them and they had nothing but good things to say about the sales team here. All around I would definitely suggest checking out kc summers if you are in the market for vehicles.

Purchased a used Honda Pilot from KC Summers last week. Our salesman Austin Powley was integral in the deal as it was a three day process... this particular vehicle holds its value as was evident in the diligent search and offer process I underwent prior to finalizing the deal with KC Summers. In the end we were offered a ‘very fair’ price and no hassle deal from the very start (as I was the only one hassling for a better deal, old habits are hard to break.) In summary, todays car market has changed substantially from years past. The competition is fierce, margins are minimal and product is in abundance. Mr Powley initially came with a very reasonable offer and in the end closed with a fair and honest deal. This was our fifth purchase from KC Summers as they’re customer service is without question reason enough to buy there. It’s a worthy mention that this salesman followed through, without exception, providing us both the time and patience required to make a final decision. I would highly recommend a visit to KC Summers when you decide to purchase your next vehicle.

I had such a fantastic experience buying my vehicle from Kc Summers that I woke up thinking ”I just HAVE to write a review”. I drove 6.5 hours to purchase my BEAUTIFUL slightly used 2019 2ss Camaro convertible from here! Although the drive wasn’t so great, choosing this particular dealership was the greatest decision I made. Ali is great to work with and made car buying a worry-free experience! Bought a really nice truck from them. After the sale they seem to not care about me. I drove from Michigan to buy this truck. It has been a month. The paper plate they gave me expires tomorrow. Ive called and left many messages. None have been returned. Now going to have to hire an attorney. Also paying payment on a truck i will not be able to drive.

We brought in our truck from Decatur yesterday for an oil change. My husband asked if the service people could also pair his cell phone to the truck. In spite of the fact that there was a hidden issue that required some time to discover, a wonderful young man (we dont know his name) cheerfully found the problem and paired the phone. We were astounded that the service department would go so far above and beyond. We will definitely be going to KC Summers the next time we buy a vehicle.

Everyone was friendly and professional. There was a very good vibe in the air. A busy atmosphere . A lot of hustling and bustling every where I looked. A-1 accommodations. The waiting lounge was nice. The seats practically sprang us up out of them. The sink in the ladies restroom was a sheet of glass. Slightly curved and tilted inside down. Fancy without being uppity. This place is cool and clean. I did not purchase a vehicle nor did I go to view a few. I went for a replacement key. I was given correct directions and not once pressured by a salesperson . The service was fast for what it entailed. I went with no key and left with a makers key. I left smiling. I would recommend KC Summers in Mattoon.

Normally I have WONDERFUL things to say about KC Summers. I purchased my car from them in 2016 and even referred my MIL to purchase her car from there. BUT, I had my car towed there after the engine locked up a week ago as their service department is the ONLY place that has ever serviced my car. It’s been a week and I STILL don’t know if Hyundai, my extended warranty, or I need to cover the repair cost. I’ve had to call everyday to see if there is any progress in this area and everyday, I don’t get an answer. I’ve waited 3 days and still haven’t had a return phone call from John in the warranty department after leaving a voicemail and another nice gentleman leaving a note on his desk to call me. It would take 5 minutes to return a call, although at this rate I don’t know if I’d get a straight answer or not. I can tell with each day I call and say I’m calling about the 2012 Sonata, my call is being taken as “here we go again”. They have no loaner vehicles, so I’ve been without a vehicle for a week. I understand it will take time to fix my vehicle and I’m okay with that, but over a week and still no answers on who is responsible for paying for this. I was told Hyundai usually only takes a day or two to give an answer...we are on day 5. I purchased all of the extended warranty with my vehicle as well. I’ve been told if Hyundai doesn’t cover it, it could take up to two weeks for the warranty department to decide if it’s covered or not. So basically it could be another 3 weeks to know if I’m responsible for paying for it. It shouldn’t take this long for an answer. Not pleased with the lack of communication and answers at this point. I was set on purchasing my next vehicle with them, but that chance is withering with each passing day.Edit: Within 2 hours of this review, I had a wonderful phone call from Ed in the service department. By this afternoon, not only did I have a loaner vehicle but they delivered it an hour away to my home! By the end of the day, I had an answer on who was responsible for the repair. THANK YOU for making this right!!

I am in the military and just got back from deployment so like most I bought a car after returning to the U.S. I bought a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport while I was in Indiana with my dad and then a couple days later I traveled to Illinois to see the other half of my family. While I was home I went to the fair and left my car no longer than two hours and when I came back my speedometer wouldnt work and my steering was so loose that the slightest touch would cause you to jerk in that direction. The next day I had an appointment at KC Summers in Mattoon. After it was in the shop for multiple hours they called and told me that they needed to keep it till Monday to fix everything. Since I am in the military that didnt work for me because my leave was about to expire and I had to be back in Virginia by Monday morning. I explained that to them and told them I would just take my car to a Hyundai dealer in Virginia and get it fixed. Keep in mind that is a 14 hour drive not knowing my speed and my steering wheel being loose. After telling them that he left and came back and told me they would give me a rental because my car wasnt really safe to be on the road. He also went on to tell me that when the car was fixed they would drive my car all the way to Virginia to drop my car off and pick up the rental. I was flabbergasted that they would have even offered to do this especially since I didnt even buy my car through them and they were willing to go that far to help me out and make sure I was safe and satisfied. I drove the rental back to Virginia and four days later I received my car and they drove the rental back to Illinois. KC Summers is truly a great place and when Im in Illinois visiting family I wouldnt want to take my car any place else!!👍🏼

I Just purchased a new 2019 Sierra Duramax truck from Jim Wolf after owning my last new one for 14 yrs. What a great person to deal with and a great dealership. No pressure no haggling on the price I will have to admit that I am not real fond of car salesmen but this place is right up my alley. No BS just out the door pricing and take it or leave it. Had trouble with my truck while shopping in mattoon, managed to get it to KC Summers,told the service department I had been grocery shopping, went to leave and my truck would hardly run, being close to lunch time, they said it would be after lunch and they would get me in to look at it, I told them I had refrigerated items in the truck, they told me I could use there refrigerator to store them, Mike one of the service writers helped me carry my groceries to there refrigerator and told me the dealership would buy my lunch while I waited, I was shocked Ive never been treated so good at a car dealership in my life, Chris the other service writer assured me after lunch I came back and waited for them to fix my truck, they got it fixed, and Chris helped me load my groceries back in the truck. I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Ausitn Powley in the purchase of my new (used) vehicle. I live 5 hours away so in the beginning of the process I was only able to talk with Austin over the phone. I can say that Austin was great in answering questions and made sure that I was comfortable in making a trip that far to see the vehicle. When I arrived that Saturday (a very rainy day), he was in the garage polishing up the car so that I could look it over. He did not lie, the car was in mint condition. The whole process of buying the vehicle was great from the initial phone call, the actual meeting to see the car, the financing dept., even the receptionist, I left with the vehicle very happy. The story of customer service does NOT stop there. A few days of having the car I noticed a noise in the front end of the car, called Austin to see what could be done. He arranged to have a driver come to my home 5 hours away (10 hr round trip) to pick up my car and left me a loaner while they looked at my vehicle. The dealership fixed what turned out to be a stupid loose bolt or something simple but the main thing is the dealership stood behind what they sold. The dealership owner should be so proud and happy to have such a wonderful staff, I wish I could have meet him to shake his hand. For anyone who reads this I strongly recommend K.C. KC Summers completely met the description of going above and beyond to help my wife and I. Garrett Lee was our salesman; from past experiences, salespeople, especially those who work on commission operate as hungry sharks looking to get your money and move on. However, with Garrett I believed he looked at my wife and I as real people who didnt know much about the sales process, wanted to inform us, and treat us fairly. I have never had such a great experience whether at a Walmart or car dealership. Even if I end up in another state, I will still buy from KC Summers in the future. My daughter purchased a vehicle from KC summers 8 months ago. The car had damage repaired to the front end which they didnt disclose. Now the car has caught on fire and doesnt run. Pretty sure this vehicle was never inspected properly. We will be contacting management and the owner.Update : the dealership is being top notch and taking care of all my daughters needs so far. Rear brake light out and rattle near exhaust pipe. They found problem with rattle, heat shield broken and they removed it, fixed brake light. Was recommended to replace shield, but would need to order it. I wanted them to order shield and replace it. They said they would call me when shield came in. Took hour and half in waiting room but had good movie on and snacks. It was a pleasure working with everyone to get my car fixed.

We bought our first Toyota last weekend. A 2019 Rav4 Hybrid and we absolutely love it. We’d previously only owned GM cars but frankly they don’t make an SUV we like and that fits in our budget. The team at KC Summers were very accommodating and literally sold us our Rav4 right off the truck. While we didn’t get the full price we wanted for our trade in Cindy Boyer and her management staff were willing to bargain to get us closer. After the sale Cindy worked with us to pick up our Rav4 to fix a scratch we found on the wheel. So far our buying experience has been a pleasant one. I see more Toyota’s in our future.

I cant say enough good things about KC Summers Toyota. I broke down along I 57 and asked to be towed to the nearest Toyota Dealership which happened to be KC Summers in Mattoon. I arrived about the time that the mechanics went to lunch so there was going to be a delay in diagnosing my problem. The service advisor, Christian, provided me with a card that was good for lunch at a neighboring restaurant as he knew I was going to be delayed for at least another hour and a half. Wow.......had never had anything like that at a dealership before. Shortly after the staff returned from lunch, they had my problem diagnosed. The part needed was going to need to be ordered and with the following day being a holiday, my car was not going to be fixed for several days.......never fear............KC Summers (and Christian) is here :) They provided me with a loaner to get home. With two small grandchildren, I needed to get carseats out of my wounded vehicle. I had never taken them out, but never fear...........another service advisor had small twins and was very familiar with the process and helped get them out. I cant say enough good things about this dealership. They turned a bad situation into a pleasant experience.

I made an appointment to get my oil changed because of an email I received from KC Summers offering oil, filter, and lube for $39.95. When I called to make the appointment the man asked if I wanted a tire rotation because itll be the same price. So after my service (which was completely satisfactory) I went to the desk to pay and the receptionist told me the total is $50. I asked why and she responded I dont know, I just take the money. I told her about the email offering $39.95 and she said no one told me about that. I couldnt find the email and she wasnt able to answer any of my questions so I just paid the bill and left. As I was at home looking at the receipt I decided I wanted to talk to one of the technicians and maybe they could explain to me the price so I called and asked to talk to someone and was connected with the same girl (because the technicians had left for the day) and she said basically the same things to me, that she doesnt make the prices and she cant help me. I was pretty disappointed in the experience and am honestly still confused why an oil change costed me $50. Also, I recommend training the receptionist to be able to read and explain receipts to customers because the service papers can be a little confusing.*** Adding to my review and changing to 5 stars, because after submitting my customer survey, I received a call from John who was very friendly and apologized for my experience and is sending me a refund. Very satisfied.

So.... I dont even live near Mattoon but travel to buy my last 3 cars here. They were that good. I really dont know if they have gotten to big to care, but my husband needs warranty work done and we sat in waiting room for hours just to let us know. Not only that, its been weeks and we keep calling them and they have no clue why each time. My daughter lives in KY and needs a new car. She called and said she would come home next week to go to KC summers. I didnt recommend it for the first time in years. This place has lost sight in what they once covanted.

Depends on service. Detailing sucks, wax left all over my truck and only partly clean. Receipt says my tires rotated. Since one is a full spare and was in the same place it clearly was not

Dont recommend their garage. My power steering went out in my impala. My uncle, a retired and certified mechanic, replaced my pump in 2 hours with an $80 pump. Ended up having another problem come up with metal in my lines which caused the resevior to crack. I bring my car to kc summers and they just replace my pump. It took them 3+ hours, they charged me $600 to do the work, the markup on the part was 3 times the price they paid for it, and the part busted again. I was told before I picked up my car that it was another issue. I had to have the entire power steering system replaced which they wanted an additional $1500+ to do. The average cost to replace a rack and pinion is 700 to 1500 and they cost me $1900+ to do it because of their mechanics gross incompetence or their companys unethical business practices. Stay away from them for any issues that dont include recalls because I wont ever trust them with my car ever againEDIT: I understand that the work may have been necessary to determine the actual problem but the markup on a part that kc summers replaced is ridiculous given that it was contaminated with metal by their mechanic and it took them longer than it should have. On top of that the mechanic tried to convince me to replace a high pressure line for $200 claiming my uncle may have caused it to loosen which would have been more on me and another busted part that would need replaced. The machanic was also aware that the part was just replaced a week prior.

When I called KC Summer to inquire about a vehicle that I saw online - I was connected to Cole Mintert. I covered the phone and looked at my family and said wow... he is normal! Prior to this - the dealing I had with other car dealers and salesman left me not wanting to buy a car!Early in the day - I had been driven to tears because the car buying had been miserable!From the moment that I got on the phone with Cole I felt like there was hope... he was so nice and laid back.Once I met Cole - I was relieved to find out that he actually was normal -- nice and kind and laid back! He seemed to actually enjoy what he was doing!The car was EXACTLY what I had been looking for and Cole and I were able to agree on the price with out the miserable back and forth games that normally come with car buying!That was just the beginning of the best part of buying a car from KC Summers!Cole told me that I would be allowed a loaner - even though I lived 45 mins away! wow! he even offered to have someone come get my car -- I assured him that I would ask that of them!Well, I had to have the car serviced and I brought the car down to them and they were so kind! Later that day, when they called to say it was ready - I realized that I was not going to be able to get the car and then take my daughter to the activities she had...I had to call back and ask to have my car brought up to me...it was not a problem!I just can not believe how great they are!I absolutely love my car! AND the experience with Cole and KC Summer! My mom will need a car in the next year - and I will absolutely be calling Cole to help her!

Theyre a small-town dealership with a first-class operation. We had some very specific requirements and researching the internet KC Summers had what we were looking for - and at a price that beat everyone else. We didnt know theyd be so easy to work with long distance (a 5 hour drive from us) and also be so great in person. We were able to arrange everything prior to the long drive and just pick up the vehicle when we got there - we got top dollar for our trade-in, no hidden costs or gotchas, and everything was done in a professional and friendly manner. Nick Shedosky and everyone we met there was helpful and knowledgeable and made the buying experience the best Ive had. I wish all car dealers could be like this! I recommend them wholeheartedly.

I just purchased a pre-owned 2013 Camry at KC Summers this passed weekend and I have to say I will never buy a car anywhere else! The sales staff is so helpful and they really try to meet your budget. I tried to trade off my 03 Corolla at 2 other dealerships and they couldnt beat the deal I got at KC Summers! This staff at KC Summers always continue to impress me. From the time you walk into the showroom for purchase or everytime you need service you feel like you are truly part of the family. Which backs up their slogan. We are family I recently found out that I needed major service on my 2009 4-Runner and they provided me a loaner to use for 2 days while they fixed it. Not just any loaner an almost new Sonata. I could not believe it. I highly recommend you check them out if you are not already a customer. Tell them Troy Huffington sent you!
