Got what I needed and helped by quick, friendly check out ladies

Awful experience!!!!! I live In Oregon and went to buy my sister a mower in Illinois. They had 2 left I called on the phone there in Matton and placed my order online, while on the phone with them. I told the girl that my sister would be in the next day to to pick up the mower. They assured me that that was fine and that they would hold the mower for me, as she would be there the next day to pick it up. Let me remind you I paid for the said mower. I call today to find out when the order will be ready to pick up and the I mower bought is gone they sold it and they dont have any in stock left to sell .The one that they do have left is damaged and they cant sell the mower. I am completely disappointed in the fact that I bought this online and it was sold to someone after I bought it. This is horrible customer service, and I will not shop with this company ever again.

I needed 6 more bags of decorative stone that the Home Depot in Champaign was sold out of. They had it here but it wasn’t put into the stock location yet. The customer service young lady was very helpful and located it and we got it loaded. I’ve also been looking for just 3 cedar fence pickets to repair my fence. They had those here too. Awesome! Win Win! Worth the drive from Champaign.

We usually have a good experience with this Home Depot. Unfortunately the past week has been less than good. Weve been looking for a couple of certain items to finish a remodeling project. We bought what was in stock a couple weeks ago and was told the new shipment would be in a few days later. We checked then and were told it would be in on the following Tuesday instead. We called back then and were told it would be in the next day Wednesday. We called back on Wed. and were told it was in, but not stocked. Thursday it was still not stocked, but we went there to pick up something else. The items were on a cart with the rest of that delivery, but just sitting in the aisle, not put on shelves. We were told it had to be put up by a certain person who just hadnt done it yet. I called back on Friday morning and it still hadnt been stocked, so I called Friday evening and was told that some of items we wanted were on the shelf and even though the website said they had 35 of the other items we wanted no one could find them. We went over to pick up what we could get, but it still wasnt on the shelves!!! A couple of very nice guys went ahead and unwrapped the cart and got us what we needed. Im not sure how this store expects to sell products if its not stocked on the shelves!

Its a good store just sad that i find more on its online then what they have in store im old fashion id like to see the things i buy before hand

I have had a great experience at Home Depot every time I have gone there! I have bought multiple large appliances there, and any questions had before the purchase was made were answered eloquently, and quickly. I love the layout of their store as well, and there are always plenty of employees around if you need help. I would definitely recommend visiting this Home Depot! They have plenty of the more popular brands of large appliances too!

Home Depot? Good prices? Yes, but not enough to redeem this company from poor business practices. When placing an online order, the total of purchase and store purchased from is known. Yet, the total debited from ones account may be different from that which one agreed to pay when submitting that order online. I was not aware of any fluctuating state tax percentages in the great state of Illinois so I contacted their customer service. I was graciously given a one time only return of the difference in the amount I agreed to pay and what was actually charged. Lesson not learned. I recently placed two large lumber orders online for delivery with this company. I was to receive a call within 48 hours to confirm delivery. No call was received. I contacted Home Depot and was given the date of delivery. On the day of delivery, I again contacted Home Depot because there was no attempt at delivery. I was told I would be called back in five minutes. After twenty minutes, I contacted Home Depot again of which the young lady informed me she was just getting ready to call me. Pause to reflect on that line. Not only will they not be delivering that day (one week after placing the order) — but my items will not be delivered until the following week. I can only surmise that another customers delivery suddenly became much more important than my very own. Its not what you know. If that isnt bad enough, Home Depot charged my account for the entire two orders and the amounts have cleared my account; however, I am not in receipt of any items in either order. Orders Cancelled. I will not tolerate nor continue to do business with a company such as the Home Depot in Mattoon Illinois. Its prices do not outweigh such questionable business practices. Update: Full refunds received quickly.

I would love to give Home Depot a 5 star. This particular Home Depot has very nice, helpful employees. They dont make you feel stupid for asking questions because you are new to the area. Home Depot always seem to have a wider variety of stuff that Im looking for. My complaints are that over all they cost a bit more and if I shop online and do a store pick up (or delivery) I cannot use my 10% veterans discount. (Lowes allows this, FYI)

Actually went to Home Depot 2 weeks ago to purchase a product that I bought at this store and wanted more of what I bought. Peel-n-Stick, Custom cut CHALKBOARD. I have some on the outside of the freezer on the door. Easy to write down what is needed, take a picture on my cell phone and off I go to the store.

Who does DIY and doesnt like HomeDepot? My ONLY negative experience was with a cashier who refused to ad match a sale when a day earlier another cashier did without hesitation. She then proceeded to tell me she would Tell my cashiers they cant ad match that store. Seriously though, other than one ignorant cashier this store is top notch!!

Found quite a few items at reasonable prices.

The gentleman in the door section was extremely helpful, but almost everything I was looking for was:A) listed as in stock, but not actually present in the store.B) in stock, but damaged.C) present, but in insufficient quantity to do the job (i.e. not enough boxes of tile to do a 200 square foot room, not enough lineal feet of door trim to trim 2 doors, etc.)I check to be sure what I wanted was in stock before I went to the store (1 hour drive for me) so it is frustrating that their system doesnt have an accurate count.

Staff here is ALWAYS much friendlier than lowes or menards!. Terre Haute, ind is like 20 minute drive for me, from where I live. And Mattoon is an hour, but I still do this drive just because of the staff friendliness! Thank you! 😊

It was pretty busy but the employees at the service desk guided me to the right dept to pick up my items and were nice and socialiable.

Their customer service is horrible! They cancel orders without bothering to call you to tell you they canceled the order or why they canceled it and when you call them to find out why the order was canceled they are very rude and unwilling to help in the least! They also refuse to reorder the item that they canceled from the supplier. I was told that it would be back in stock at some point so I should just wait and see or I could drive 2 hours away and buy it from another Home Depot because they wont do store to store transfers to fulfill orders even though the item was in stock when I ordered it but sold out before they fulfilled my order.......absolutely rediculous!

They always have what I need and it was a quick in and out process.

Woman in appliance area didnt wanna leave her chair told me I was gonna have to buy a whole new faucet. Once she found what seemed like the only competent person in the store he tried to help me but couldnt. Will not be back

Very rude employee, in flooring, turning her back to me, taking another customer, while I was waiting for her. I was by computer sitting, getting papers out my card. She was standing there, didnt say excuse me or a y thing, I have worked in retail, always try to be polite with employees.

Just not impressed with any aspect of this store.

I always go here for paint and other items. I also love their flowers. They are always healthy and beautiful.

This is my second property renovation and both places are Home Depot houses! I walk through the door and tell the associates what I need/want..they show me and give great advice if theres something better. Im in and out very quickly and their online service is great to!

Great, low prices on many items. Friendly, helpful staff and items are easy to find! I also love their online shopping, so many great deals and decorative items!! A great place to do everything from build a home to decorate it to fix things!! I bought a new washer and dryer set here and they even price matched it with Sams Club! Such great people!

Traveled several miles to purchase a new refrigerator from Home Depot after checking online. Found exactly the one I wanted for a really good price. All the associates were very helpful and found it for us right away. Everyone that we encountered was very nice and helpful. Even found a big strong guy to help load it for us. Love shopping at this Home Depot and if I lived closer I would shop here a lot more often. If you cant find what youre looking for Someone will be there to help. Seems to take a little of the financial sting out of it when I have a good shopping experience.

Everyone here is hateful! Can’t call and ask for anything without a hateful tone. Wouldn’t recommend calling to find out information. Every employee I spoke to was rude and annoyed with having to do something ON A SATURDAY. Shame on this home depot store.

I am torn how to rate this store. I like the store and prices, but their kitchen cabinet Business is an utter joke. We ordered ~$20,000 in cabinets it takes 5 weeks to get them delivered, no big deal just order them early.5 of roughly 40 pieces came in damaged or poorly constructed. So we ordered replacements. Those also take 5 weeks to get delivered. I was not allowed to contact the cabinet company directly to arrange other modes of shipping or anything.Finally when all of our cabinets were installed we tried to get our counter tops ordered. They were already paid for 4 months prior. It took another 4 weeks to get the counter tops. When they were installed the company didnt cut faucet holes and refused to cut our kitchen sink out because that wasnt in the contract with home depot. I couldnt resolve this with the countertop company, I had to go through home depot.It has now been 4 months since my cabinets/countertops were ordered, 7 months since they were paid for, and they still arent done. That is 3 months worth of interest payments I have had to make on this construction loan because this company cannot get their ducks in a row to get things installed.If you can find someone local to do your cabinets/countertops do so, mine have cost 20% more than what we paid from waiting.
