We bought a 1989 mustang GT from this dealership. The owner Keith was so friendly. This place ought to be a museum he took us around and showed us a bunch of the old cars and it was a really cool experience. We had a great experience with all their staff and we buy from them again. Omg this place is amazing! I cant believe how many classic cars are here. Just when you think you have seen them all, there is another barn with more! They must have well over 100. This car dealership is one of the reasons we chose the Smoky Mountains as our family vacation this year. We are looking for a 55 Belair, and this place keeps popping up, unfortunately the only 55 Belair that they have right now, is a fully customized, air ride, everything you can imagine has been done to it, completely out of our price range, beautiful green, convertible. We were not disappointed at all, seeing all the amazing cars sute made our day. Came here from Canada and left really happy

Had a great experience buying a car from Smoky Mountain Traders. I worked with Daniel for a couple of months to get the price where we both could live with the deal. He never failed to call me back or answer my questions. They were very helpful in getting the car ready for the appraisal service I sent out to inspect the car. After the sale Devvin got a great deal for me on a transport from TN. to TX. and the car was in my driveway 3 days later. I recently bought a 1990 Mustang 7up Edition, 9K original miles, from them and I am happy with the experience. Devvin was responsive to my questions and answered them honestly. They arranged shipping for the car and it arrived safely.Car was as advertised and looks great. My only complaint is their after sale communication. Took a few calls for them to get back to me with a couple of concerns. Overall a good transaction!

I dont write many reviews. But my experience with smoky mountain traders was so wonderful I felt I had to. I flew out there to meet with Devvin and he spent an hour and a half walking me through the entire lot of cars and pointing out different little things. When I got interested in a different car than I had gone there to look at he went to the trouble of pulling it out and moving other cars just so I could get a better look at it. The quality and diversity of cars is great. But the people were exceptional. After I bought the car apparently there were a few things that Devvin wanted to have changed or fixed for me. Ive never had anyone say that to me and its the only good reason for delaying my shipment. Every car is different. And old cars always have their problems and issues so no car will ever be perfect. So you better trust and like the people youre buying them from. And I will absolutely do business with these people again. Keith, Devvin, Mitch and team thank you.

What an amazing classic car dealership. My wife and I were passing through East Tennessee Sunday stop by the dealership I was lucky enough the owner was on site. He welcomed us even though the dealership was closed and showed us around. Keith and his team are very knowledgeable of All of their inventory. Once we find the perfect classic car for my wife and I there’s no doubt about it we will take our business to Smokey Mountain traders.

Made my first visit to Smoky Mountain Traders the other day and was blown away with the quality of the cars and the knowledge of Keith the owner. He walked around the lot with me for approximately 3 hours and talked about each and every car he had with never any pressure to buy. The visit was like a guided tour of a museum with someone who was as passionate about showing the exhibits as I was to view them. I will definitely visit again and hopefully soon strike up a deal to purchase one of these works of art.

I have visited Smokey Mountain Traders several times and have always received great service. Our last visit, the staff walked us all around the lot and showed us their amazing collection up close and personal. Recommend visiting whether you’re looking to buy or not. Smokey Mountain Auto Traders is the real deal. I recently purchased a classic car over the phone from 2,000 miles away.The car was represented better then described and the owners went out of their way to answer any questions I had. They even face timed me so I could view the car and ask specific questions.I highly recommend them if you’re in the market for a classic car.

My experience, just another bait and switch dealership. Several calls and emails about a car, not a word from them then one day, a call to say the car sold a week or so ago, can I interest you in another car on our website. The car I originally called/ emailed about,,,,still on their website. Just puts honesty in question.Update 1-2-2019. Car that was sold last week is still on the website as a reduced price vehicle. I stand by my original post, this has to do with honesty and bait and switch is the oldest trick out there.Update 1-17-2019. Car is still posted on the site, just saying,,,Update 1-31-2019 Car is still there on the website . Check out how many 5 star ratings are from folks that have only given one review. Something just not right with this whole picture!

I purchased a 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 from Smoky Mountain Traders and I couldnt be more pleased with the process from start to finish. The car was clean on top and the bottom was in excellent shape. Jordan was customer focused the entire time. When we arrived at the dealership and he gave us entire tour of the facility. They had my vehicle front and center all ready to go when we arrived. Jordan showed me the ins and outs of starting the vehicle and followed my to the gas station where he filled to tank for my trip home. I had a challenge getting the vehicle started after he left but he answered my call right away. He then coached me through getting the vehicle started and I was on my way. Excellent business, I highly recommend Smoky Mountain Traders as a go to if you are in the market for a classic car!

The Family was on a short vacation and we always stop by Smoky Mt. Traders. We have for many years. The first visit was at the old lot down the road. Very nice place. The cars are simply amazing, and the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer questions and made me feel free to look at as many of the cars I wanted to, and did not rush me. He even offered advice about my classic car.

We bought a 1969 white c10 from Smokey Mountain Traders and had to do so sight unseen as we are from Canada. There were many issues with the truck that were not disclosed to us which we had to have redone once we received it. They claimed the truck had a 383 in it but the engine never had any power despite the high gear and would power out going up hills which confused us as a 383 geared that high should have tons of power. After about 300 babied km the engine began fogging and oil was pouring out of the exhaust so we had no choice to pull the motor. We were angry that they sold us a vehicle with a worn out motor but the worst part came after. When we went to rebuild the motor we found out it was a worn out 327 smogger, it had roller rockers and a roller cam but it didnt have a cam button and as a result the distributor gear got messed up too. We now have to build a whole new motor. When we asked them to help us somehow, since they completely lied about the trucks specifications, they simply said we agreed to buy the truck as is and they were willing to do nothing. These guys lied about the truck in every way, it was a slapped together and they were asking top dollar for it. DO NOT make the same mistake we did, their vehicles look nice in pictures but they lie about the specs to sell the vehicles for top dollar. I could go on and on about the deceit what went on throughout this transaction but I simply do not have the time to write it all out. Beware...

We purchased a 1970 Cuda, we were very impressed with advertisement photos and we were very pleased with conversations prior to the sale. We were greeted like friends when we pulled on their lot. Excellent and warm family and very satisfied with our purchase, and would love to do future business with with Smoky Mountain Traders. Highly recommend.

From Pensacola, FL, my family and I spent the 2017 Thanksgiving holidays in the Smoky Mountains of TN and it was great. Im really in to classic cars and got the chance to visit SMOKY MOUNTAIN TRADERS and it was awesome. They have a great inventory of classic/muscle cars and we really enjoyed our visit there looking at all the cars and taking pictures. We got to meet the owner and some of his staff and everyone was very nice, very friendly and very helpful, treated us like close friends and family. Ok .... I don’t know who is reviewing this place as 5 stars. We got here and some guy working on a car say you can look around and never talk to us again. It’s just a shop with some old cars that they are restoring. Do not expect a museum at all or a showroom for that matter. I went all the way from Gatlinburg to here and was upset to find a junk yard look a like for classic museum. I’m sorry don’t do this to people.

I Love Muscle

I recently purchased a 1934 Plymouth Coupe from Smoky Mountain Traders and I dealt with Mr. Devvin Howard. I must say (and I usually dont take to time to write a review).. I was and am impressed with these folks: From the initial phone call and several after, this young Man was ALWAYS Very Accommodating and showed sincere interest in all of my questions. Upon my arrival to their facility, Mr. Howard continued to show sincere interest in me as an individual and was VERY UP FRONT with all aspects of the Automobile. I have purchased many automobiles in my lifetime and this transaction was the Smoothest and Most Enjoyable I have ever experienced. I must say, If anyone is looking for a Classic Automobile, these are the folks to call. HONEST from Start to Finish, and for me, we aint done yet.. I recently purchased a 67 Chevy Camaro from Smoky Mountain Traders in April. After speaking with their staff I decided to come in and look at the car. When I got there everyone was very friendly and the car was nicer than I expected. I have went to numerous car shows and have received nothing but compliments.

I have bought 2 out of my 7 classic cars from smoky mountain traders and both were nice cars. 1969 Camaro needed a little work once I got it but it was priced right and a sexy looking ride, no regrets at all. People buying these sort of cars should expect to have to do a little work on the cars, just the nature of buying a 50 year old ride, and part of the fun too. The 1970 Charger I got from them was almost perfect, IMO it was the best restorations I have ever seen, really a great value. Thank you Devvin for the great deal on that one. - SG

Called about a 53k car I was interested in. No background info provided, no specs, no nothing, car bought at auction. I understand that. After pressing for 3 days, I was informed they spent 2 hours tracking down the history of resto and mods performed...sounding a bit more positive. Hired inspection. Everything graded very well, except its a bondo bucket. When I stated that fact, I was told nobody ran magnet (elcometer) on the car because they bought it at auction ? Im expected to spend 50k and you cant tell me some sort of history of the car and its made of clay?

I couldn’t be more happy about my purchase from SMT and it was certainly a pleasure working with Devvin. He was the consummate professional and treated me with respect while also being honest and gaining my trust. It’s always stressful when buying anything without physically inspecting (everyone always recommends a physical inspection if possible) but Devvin answered all my questions about the Chevelle SS. Following your company over the years while searching for collector cars that interested me gave me confidence to finally buy the car I wanted. Having owned several Chevelle’s over the years, I absolutely know a good car when I see it.The Chevelle is running great and looks fantastic! I’m having fun making the car my own but keeping with the theme of an SS to make it look as original as possible.I will continue to look for my next car from SMT and will reach out to Devvin when ready.
