I’ve had nothing but problems with my truck ever since they replaced the motor. They seemed to have dropped the engine and messed up the surface of the intake manifold, and just slapped it back together and made it not leak for long enough for it to not be their problem anymore. Many other problems on top of that. If you want a big job done right, go to someone else.

I have a completely top to bottom custom car that would not start. I traced it down to a fuel problem but couldnt pinpoint the exact reason. I had 2 mechanics troubleshoot the problem down to a bad fuel pump and an unknown wiring problem with a repair quote of $600. I took it to Frankenstein motors to have the fuel pump changed and wiring diagnosed. I was called the very next day and Adrian (owner of FM) informed me that the car has been fixed and is running beautifully. The problem turned out to be a simple fuel pump relay that was tricky to find because the fuel pump thats normally mounted inside the fuel tank was out of view. The 2 mechanics that quoted me $600 were troubleshooting a fuel pump that didnt exist! I was charged only $60 by Frankenstein Motors and I really appreciate the honesty of their shop. Thank You.

At first it was a little confusing where to park and where to go to talk to someone but man once I got in there I had the best experience I have ever had in a mechanic shop. Everyone I talked to was super friendly and professional they were nice enough to squeeze me in on an already busy Friday to take care of my dangerous brakes. Priced fair and work was fast. I served 20 years in the military alongside the owner (Sgt Mcklaskey). I would trust him with my life and definitely my vehicle. My car was diagnosed by the stealership as having a faulty A/C compressor. I took it to Frankenstein Motors to have the parts changed and it turns out that the only problem was a loose electrical plug to my compressor. The simple fix was done fore free.

I took in my Jeep that was in rough shape, Adrian took the time go through it all and take care of anything he saw as an issue. I’m so very very happy with the work done! Adrian did a great job and his enthusiasm for his career is absolutely incredible! I will definitely be back as I continue to build up the Jeep!

Moved to Marysville not too long ago and thus, needed a new auto shop. Went here, mainly for the reviews of course. The reviews are correct - first stop was a leak that ended up being an easy clamp or hose. Second was my own car, which is 140k, and inspection came up clean. The reason I say this is because an auto repair shop can EASILY tack on medium or major repairs as necessary to make extra money, often by pointing out items that are wearing down, but not dead yet, warning they will soon fail - this is how they get around the inspections. I dont see this practice going on here and it seems to be an honest shop. Highly recommended.

Took my 2006 2500HD Duramax to Frankenstein Motors, honestly, because I didnt trust taking it anywhere else. Seeing how the owner, (Adrian) interacts with his customers and how he is really changing the face of the automotive mechanic with his Facebook updates, I just had a good feeling about leaving my baby in his hands. Glad I did, my truck is lifted (6) and over the years I have put it through the ringer. Pounding the backcountry roads in Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and my home state of California in pursuit of big game. There was no road too rough or grade too steep, but the mountain has a way of taxing you, your equipment and your vehicles. To say the least, my front end was destroyed. Adrian and his team of wonderful mechanics, they took their time and gave my truck the attentiveness it needed to insure that it was fixed right, but also that they did everything in a safe manner, to provide me with a safe and reliable truck again. In the end, job well done and my truck has never been better! I think they replaced just about every nut and bolt on the front end too! Theres only shop for me now, one only, Frankenstein Motors and I cant thank all of you there for treating me and my wife fairly and with a hospitality unlike any other mechanic shop I have dealt with in my life. I discovered Frankenstein about a year ago after constantly driving by, admiring all their cool toys from afar.Since then I will not go anywhere else for anything that’s not covered under warranty. They’re amazing at what they do, from lifting, to lowering, to just keeping commuters on the road. One of the best in customer service, a good mechanic who knows what he is doing. Even cleared the check engine light when finished. I drive an older car where they could have given me a list of necessary repairs but fixed the immediate problem and thanked me for being a couple customer.

This is only auto repair shop I feel comfortable taking my car to. I do my best to repair my vehicles myself but some jobs I cant do or have trouble identifying. Adrian and his employees are great at helping point me in right direction or doing the repairs for a reasonable price. Adrian, his mechanics and even his office staff are very knowledgeable with auto repair and pin pointing problems.

This post is long but explains my story dealing with them. So, I took my 2015 Subaru WRX into this shop because it’s local, the owner is an Air Force vet and I wanted to support that. My transmission blew right onto the onramp to 65 on 40 mile rd, so figured I would take my car there because great reviews. Little did I know that was a mistake. Thankfully I had an extended warranty on my car and the transmission was covered. Upon further inspection when my transmission blew it could of possibly damaged my clutch and flywheel as well, they got that covered under warranty. Great, even said they found a low mileage transmission to use! However, after the “repairs” were done that’s when everything went wrong. When they were putting my transmission back into my car they somehow broke my starter and then told me I had to pay for a new one. Fine, since you got my clutch and flywheel covered, okay I will. When they said they were done and I got my car back they said it was good to go. It was not. As I was driving home I knew something was wrong with my stick shift, it was very hard to shift into odd number gears, and 5th gear was non existent. My stick shift was in the wrong position (can be set in two different positions), the stick stop was loose and my car could easily go into reverse as I was driving. When making a left turn my passenger side front wheel would make a horrible sound that it didn’t when I dropped it off. They tried to convince me this was common because I needed breaks and they would gladly do it for me. The warning light was on in my car and they said it was because I needed a new battery, which they would gladly get for me. See a pattern? I check the warning light and it was low tire pressure... The “technician” that they had work on my car said he didn’t know, he’s only worked on trucks. So fine, people need to learn, understand, but why wasn’t it double checked by someone who knew what to do? Another tech test drove the car and he said it wasn’t right as well. They took it back and “fixed everything” and I got my car back. The owner even came and apologized to me as he wasn’t there at the time to make sure it was right. Okay, got my car back! Transmission was leaking all over my driveway... 2nd time taking it back, the transmission was leaking from whoever assembled it they said, so they fixed it, picked up and went back home... still leaking. 3rd time take back they did a thorough look and one of the seals were broken I believe they said. Take it back home again and it doesn’t leak. This was weeks ago, I open the hood of my car to change the oil and what do I see? Hoses not in their clamps correctly, the clamps and screws on the cover of my engine are broken or missing so the cover doesn’t even stay on correctly. One of my intakes is broken, the cover for my positive terminal on my battery is missing, and my ac isn’t really working anymore (have to rev car up to 4K rpms so it doesn’t need to be recharged, I checked). Overall my car seems to have come back in a worse condition that I left it there. Highly disappointed as I wanted to support them and they’re close. Never going back again.

Frankenstein has done several repairs to my truck and the price is reasonable and it gets done quickly. Adrian is always helpful and is willing to take a look at and fix things after hours. He has even done some quick custom work to my truck to fix a steering issue. He has even looked at my boat carb and quickly adjusted it free of charge. I will continue to take my vehicles here.

I brought my Mazda in to FM for an inspection to ensure it was safe for my new teenage driver. They checked all fluids, alignment, tires, and breaks within a day and provided excellent customer service! The car needed new tires, but the brake pads still had plenty of life left. They were honest and not out to make me pay for something I didnt need, but made sure my daughter would be safe on the road. I am so glad to have a mechanic I can trust and will be bringing all my vehicles to Adrian in the future!

Took my wifes 99 Corolla in to replace the timing chain and Ill say, Adrian did solid work. A timing chain is no joke and on front wheel drive cars it can be very cramped. Car now runs smoother than when we bought it. Adrian is very honest and just a nice guy. 5 out of 5, 10 out of 10, whatever you go by. I recommend Frankenstein Motors.

The owner and his team over at Frankenstein Motors, just outside of Beale Air Force Base, are working to reinvent the way we think about our neighborhood mechanic. With essentials like customer service and honoring their word, as they work to serve an area without many options for automotive needs, Frankenstein Motors and its owner, Adriene have truly figured out how to Wow! their patrons. I had my 2019 Chevy 3500 HD in their shop a few months ago....they were installing airbags for my suspension to help with the load we were setting out to tow cross-country. Not only was the price 25 % under everyone elses quote, the owner made sure I was taken care of long after I left the shop. I had some bad luck and the controller and board were bad out of the box....the problem was that I left the state after having Frankenstein do the work to my truck....so I figured I was screwed....not with these guys. They set me up with diagnostics in San Diego, CA and then Austin, TX, where we were able to rectify the issues and swap out the bad components of the system. Paying for the fix to the truck, out of their shop, cost the owner nearly $1000, but this business never once talked to me about money....the only goal was to get me on the road with an operational system. I couldnt be more satisfied. Highly highly recommend the folks over at Frankenstein!!!

My oil cooler blew out in Marysville. Adrian had my truck towed in. He replaced the oil cooler and also found a crack in the oil cooler cover. He did an excellent job. No more oil leaks. I live in the bay aea and I’m glad I found their shop. Wouldn’t hesitate to do business with them again!

Took my wifes Toyota Corolla in for a timing chain. After we got it back after about a week it started making some noise again. Took it back in and they looked at it for free. It stopped making noise. This was a about a year ago so now my brother is driving the car and dailies it and tries to drive it like its got a 2JZ in it and its still chugging along. Even to check a timing chain is not a quick thing but they still did us right. I work on all my vehicles but if there is anything that I cant do, this is the place I would trust to get it done right.

I have called four places today (Memorial Day 2018) to have an alternator put in my 2006 Ford five hundred. I had called a place called Frankenstein Motors knowing they probably would not have been open. I wanted to head to my grandfathers plot in time before the cemetery closed in Sacramento to honor my veteran grandfather. A gentleman named Adrian had answered the phone. He said he was open and that he could put in the alternator. I had asked if it was possible to get done by 2pm. He said he would try but couldnt guarantee it. He called me back and said the auto shop didnt have drivers so he couldnt get done by 2pm. I appreciated the phone call back and someone from his shop actually drove down to get the alternator and had the work done by 3pm which was beyond awesome. Couldnt thank him enough. I appreciated him and his staff going out of his way. Too bad I could not give him ten stars. Well beyond what any shop has done for me. I already recommended him to several people already. Great owner, great staff. Thanks for his effort I was able to pay my respects to my grandfather before the cemetery closed! Couldnt get any better service! Thank you once again.
