Poor work ethic, poor attitude, and inability to do basic math, this is what you get for going to Walmart Auto Care in Marquette for any type of service. A bunch of kids standing around the auto bay, with nothing to do, and wouldnt fit a tire on my truck before saying it wouldnt fit. I bought a set of tires that were .77 inches (less than an inch) bigger than the stock ones on the truck, based on the kid looking at it, you would think I was trying to put a monster truck tire on my truck. If you have almost an inch of clearance on stock tires, and the new tire is .77 wider, that means you would deduct .385 from that inch which would leave you with over half an inch of clearance in a spot that clearance doesnt change, the control arm, it also had plenty of space in the wheel well, a good six inches all the way around. They couldnt figure that out, at least the managers couldnt figure that out. I can see why the kid didnt want to mount the tires, they are big, they are heavy (tire and rim around 75 pounds) and Im sure not easy to balance. The blame really falls on the managers, they couldnt figure out that the kid just wanted to get out of work and that the tire would fit just fine. I guess the manager (Chris) wasnt willing to put in a little effort to see that for himself, he wouldnt even have him test fit one when I requested it, which I was willing to pay for. I did the research, did the measuring, verified with other people who put on the exact same tire, that it would fit. This kid and supposedly his manager decided it wouldnt fit without even trying it, or doing any measurements, I know because I asked the manager what measurements they came up with, and he had no idea. Although he lied and said they measured. Totally my fault for going to Walmart for this type of work, it wont happen again. Thank goodness a new tire shop is coming to town, the new tire shop fixes leaks for free and will match any Walmart price. I will get my tires there when they open. Walmart didnt need that $1700.00 sale anyways, you can tell by the rating of the auto center, and it still functions like this.

Walmarts computer systems leave some to be desired. Even though I spent over to $700 on tires with all of their extras (lifetime this and lifetime that), when I went in to have my new tires rotated and have my oil changed. There was one person ahead of me.Even though my name came up, I had to go back out to my van and get my receipts to prove that I did purchase all of the extras!Now another half hour has gone by and now theres six more people ahead of me!Then when they finally got my van in, they argued with me about the air pressure that I wanted in my tires.Then when it came time to change my oil, because I didnt want valvoline or Pennsoil in my engine, instead of costing $35.00, it now costs $44.88.Long story short, instead of being there for about an hour, I ended up leaving almost four and a half hours later!Needless to say, this was not what I was expecting when I spent my limited social security funds at Walmart!Your store policies, computer systems and services suck!

I ordered a set of tires from here. I set up the appointment to get them put on for when the tires were supposed to arrive. They arrived over a week early and I was told that I had to pick them up or they would send them back because, We are not a storage space. So even if you have spent hundreds of dollars on their products, and created an appointment that costs hundreds of dollars to do. Theyll still tell you they dont care and return your stuff for you.UPDATE from 4/29/2021(I forgot to update in December)As I was stuck with the set of tires I had purchased and already had an appointment set, I angrily went to pick them up in hopes of keeping the appointment. (No appointments possible anywhere else for months, I called everywhere) I spent several hours getting help, only to find out that they had lost my set of tires that was shipped to them. They told me to go home and just to show up on the day of my appointment and that they would make sure my tires are there for it. (Just as they should have told me from the beginning)On the day of my appointment I showed up 10 minutes late and as such missed my appointment. They penciled me in as a walk in and I proceeded to wait 6 hours for my tires to be put on my car. I waited till they closed. I cant imagine that within those 10 minutes that I was late they had already given away my appointment to someone else. In the process of finally getting my tires on after waiting four hours, they once again lost my tires and spent at least an hour looking for them. Fortunately they did find my tires in the back and managed to get them on my vehicle. While I drive my vehicle with these same tires installed, simply from the terrible experience I had, I would be afraid of letting anyone else drive the car. If I had any money I would take it into another place to get double checked, but I dont. If you can afford more than the cheapest pair of tires you can find, then go ANYWHERE ELSE. If you are poor, its time to grab a camping chair and expect to be waiting till they close.P.S. Walmart banned chairs due to Covid, so I bought a camping chair for $6 so that I could sit. While sitting in my camping chair I watched a Pregnant Woman with a child in her hands be told they couldnt sit down anywhere during their shopping experience. This was after I watched many other people ask employees for seats. I support masks, I dont support no chairs for Pregnant women.

I called Walmart auto service because I needed two tires. The gentleman who assisted me on the phone was great he helped me to the best of his ability even though he was very busy. I made an appointment for the next day I came in for my appointment and there was a lady there and she seemed to be very put out she was rude and not very service oriented. If I wasn’t on a donut spare I definitely would have went somewhere else I will never have my car serviced there again.

They do as well as they can for how understaffed they always seem to be. However corporate combining sporting good with auto care was really dumb and often now there are workers who know fishing tackle and have never heard of an air filter...

Took 4 hours to change 1 tire not recommend it your waiting at the store but they where nice lots of workers....

Dont ever get an oil change here. Payed for an oil change, plus vacuuming out the inside of the car,and topping off all fluids. They didnt vacuum my car, they didnt top off or check any fluids, Im doubtful if they even changed the oil.

Lady at the front desk was knowledgeable and very helpful and thats were the three stars come from. On the technician side it was a uncoordinated mess. The technicians stood around and when they were doing something it was very lackadaisical. When I asked a team member who seemed to be in charge what was the problem and why it was taking longer then the hour the approximated he claimed there were not enough technicians today. That was after I seen two customer that were behind me get in and out before me as well as them standing around. My car did not get started well after the approximate one hour wait time

NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE, unless you want them to give you two flat tires within 12 hours. Wether it is a small or large issue. I simply went in for a tire to be patched. The wrong tire was touched, they replaced a valve that did not need to be touched with the wrong size valve causing my tires to deflate ALL THREE TIMES I pulled out of their parking lot. Costed me over $300 in tows. I tried getting money back and they claimed it was not their fault. They started to lie once they found out they screwed up attempting to put the blame on me. My tire was fine before I brought it in. Take it anywhere else in town. Do not waste your time or money here.

Had new tires put mounted here. Out of necessity for a last minute trip. Pulled out of the parking spot to realize the brakes didnt work. Back passenger brake line was clearly bent or pushed on near tire and they would not take credit and said they couldnt fix the line there. Will never use there services again and wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

I needed 4 new tires for my Chevy impala. They told me it would take 80 mins and they were exactly at 80 mins when they finished. Had a good experience. Make sure you get the road hazard for each tire so you can get it rotated anytime for free or if you have hole or leak in it so you can get repaird.

The girl who was taking my information at the counter scolded me for not telling her I had a push button ignition because she said that was extra and something that they had to know before hand. Um, if the guys doing the oils changes cant figure out how to push a button that says start then they shouldnt be doing any kind of maintenance on vehicles. I apologized and then she got snotty a second time because I said I didnt give it a thought seeing that a lot of newer vehicles had that type of ignition and apparently shes never seen any. Ive never had an issue with customer service at Walmart before so I was surprised this happened. Ill probably take my business elsewhere from now on to avoid attitude. I can forgive most things but theres no excuse for that type of behavior. Also, my vehicle was done in about 15 minutes after being told there were two people in front of me. I dont even trust they did anything besides print a new sticker for my window.

For years it was Pomps or Mr Tire, no Saturday or Sunday hours, and the were doing you a favor by allowing you to spend your time and money here attitude. And God forbid you ask for an alignment, always a gold mine in ball joints and anything else they can sell you. And before you jump on that, I go to Toms MuffX and for $50.00 bucks the car gets alignment​ without replacing one thing. The best place to purchase tires in Escanaba is Stropich. Great service. As far as Walmart? Where are you going to get an oil change for $17.00 while you shop? Or replace bulbs for next to nothing? On Saturday or Sunday on top of it? For a smart customer Walmart has its place.

Got 4 new tires put on and was told to come back in 50 miles for a re-torque of the lug nuts. So I go my 50 miles and come back, and was told to go somewhere else because they were too busy, or come back tomorrow! I showed up at 4, they closed at 7 or 8. They said they stopped taking orders right before I walked in. The cashier person asked if he could just go do it since it takes only a couple minutes and was told no. So a 2 minute job was refused putting me at risk on the roads by your people. So basically by refusing to tighten my lugnuts, so youre aware youre still liable for that person on their way to get their lugnuts re-torqued elsewhere. Ill never again get my car serviced by this place. Not even an oil change.

Customer service was pleasant, but 2 hours for an oil change when I bring it in first thing on a Sat AM is just unreasonable in my opinion. They got the job done, but took way longer than it shouldve.

Every fall and winter, they are turning away costumers because they are so busy: thats bad business. I have nightmares of waiting in the worlds smallest waiting area, hours of my life ticking by, and trying to keep my two screaming toddlers content. If you need work done, plan on dropping off your vehicle before 8:00 AM and leaving it there all day. Even if you just need an oil change. They try hard to please but management needs to do something. . .UPDATE: 12/10/2017, After having our van for over 8 hours one day to get a slow leaked fixed, we found out (a couple weeks later), they had put our tire on backwards! If you need tires go to Willeys in Ishpeming. I was in and out in 15 minutes.

I absolutely hate how people hate on Walmart Automotive Service. I needed my left driver-side wheel balanced and I was leaving for Chicago that day. The wheel was whobbling like crazy and couldnt drive far on it. I called all the car mechanics and service centers in Marquette. No where in Marquette could I get my tire balanced that day. But I went to Walmart and yes I waited 2 hours, which I expected. Id wait 2 hours over a whole day from other service centers anyday.I told the Walmart mechanics my problem and got it fixed in no time. No one appreciates the Walmart mechanics. One guy was pissed he was waiting a hour. If you called anyother mechanic in Marquette you would be waiting a few days. Please appreciate the mechanics. Also I only paid $9.
