We went into Monroe & Kent Home after having breakfast at Turning Point earlier this year. We were greeted by a lovely designer who helped us with some ideas for our home. My wife fell in love with a sectional and a couple of other items. We did have some shipping delays but our designer kept us updated and our living room has come together beautifully.

My husband and I purchased a farmhouse table at Monroe and Kent. It was delivered the next day. After using the table, I noticed some scratches in the table. I sent an email to Richard, within 48 hours I received an email from him telling me he would contact us in home repair person to schedule a time to look at the table. A few hours later, I received another email, requesting the table be picked up and take to his repair person. Table was picked up and delivered back the next day and looks amazing. Richard is great to work with and customer service far beyond what I expected.Great people!Lisa

Very disappointed in Monroe and Kent and trying to receive a response from them on items purchased in June. The store we purchased from in Mt. Laurel has closed and we are told they are opening a new location in Berlin.In the meantime, understanding that there are delays in the delivery world for every discipline and working with contractors and vendors every day in my line of business, communication seems to be the key to helping clients and customers understand what to expect. The inability and lack of response from Monroe and Kent, and the sheer fact that there is no one in their offices to answer calls, return customer service requests, answer questions or reply to an email, is quite concerning.We love the furniture, the quality, the price, and the experience that we originally had in the retail store. We have only received part of our order and have been waiting for months to find out if the missing items are even going to be available to us. Other retailers we have purchased from have delivered their products and have communicated effectively with us on any items that were delayed in getting to us timely. At this point, we are not sure what to do since we cannot get anyone to respond and let us know if our items will ever be available or if we need to start over again.Help!Kris Delfino

The worst customer service. Essentially strung us along for 3 months, delivery date first week of Aug. fair enough, it got delayed due to the current climate. But it was week after week, then a guarantee of delivery first week of October. Nothing. Followed up 5 times. To then receive a voicemail saying they are cancelling our order after I told them I would report them for being a scam. Quite rightly after Faldo information and being radio silence.Just manage expectations accordingly, every other company is. If it’s 5 months out it’s 5 months out, people get it. Rather than over promise and under deliver.

My wife and I visited Monroe & Kent Home for some ideas as we just purchased a new shore home. I spoke with Richard, one of the co-owners who was helpful in telling me the different brands that they work with. I asked if they were having a sale anytime soon, he said they dont really do sales, but if we were purchasing more than one piece, they would work with us on pricing. My wife loved the fact we can get design services through the store and Richard explained that our purchase comes with a complimentary 5-year warranty. Were definitely going to be back here!

We purchased the Sloan table to serve double duty as a desk and dining table in our new apartment. It fits the space perfectly. The table is well constructed and beautiful. White glove delivery was perfect. James and Richard were wonderful to work with. Highly recommend Monroe and Kent!

Went to this store to support a new local business. Dealt with the owners. Despite receiving wrong pricing, I ordered furniture. After placing the order, they ghosted me. No response to follow up inquires. This went on for months. Expected some response even if not good news. Would never recommend this store to anyone. Big box stores give better service. My giving them 1 star is generous

My friend told me to go to this store as they got a sectional from here last year. The service was impressive, I had lots of questions about the construction of a sofa and the person I spoke to, a British guy was very knowledgeable. I purchased some pillows as they were having a moving sale and the followed up to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Service you dont really get anymore!

Recommend Monroe and Kent for designing your home. We just had our LBI house family room designed by them and we love it!

The entire experience at M&K was fantastic. From the design assistance of Pam who came to our house to review the room, to the selection, ordering and delivery, everything was done professionally with excellent communication. We really enjoyed working with Pam, Richard and Jimmy. They were truly responsive and accommodating. When one of our pieces came in damaged, they gave us the one on the floor to use until our new one could be delivered. Would certainly use Monroe & Kent again.

I would give it 0 stars if I could.Made a substantial purchase there May 1st, 4 months later and multiple calls, emails and physically going to the store to ask about the status of our items just to get an answer that they dates are moving further and further away and we should wait!The one item that was delivered turned out to be completely wrong.End of August we decided to cancel our order and have been met with following :Because the value of the order is below $5,000, we can cancel the order for you, however, there will be a 30% charge deducted from the refund as we will have to resell the items you ordered when they are received.They want to keep 30% of our money without even them delivering the items we paid for, 4 months after order been placed.Hope it helps others

Monroe & Kent is my favorite furniture store. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing and the team is friendly and engaging. I find the unique selection and quality exceptional. My family loves all are purchases!

The folks @ Monroe & Kent are great to work with. Their customer centric focus is evident in all interactions. They have great selections to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended if you are remodeling and want some creative ideas.

After going to a large chain retailer and waiting 5+ months for a couch that never came, I went to Monroe & Kent. Rich and Jimmy were great to work with. I had a specific style in mind and within minutes they were able to source and order it for me. The couch arrived less than two weeks later and it is beautiful. The delivery men were also wonderful. Highly recommend!

I recently moved into a new apartment in Philly with an island that needed bar stools. I had a hard time finding ones I loved until visiting Monroe & Kent! The store is so close to the city and super stylish! Not to mention how friendly and helpful the staff was to help me find exactly what I was envisioning. I purchased the San Rafael stools in tanned umber! Honestly the most comfortable bar stools I ever sat on. The seat part is well padded that you feel like your sitting on a big cushion, they are well worth it. Plus I get tons of compliments on them! Highly recommend this store.

We moved into our first home in August and needed to outfit our living room with a couch. Monroe and Kent happened to be the first place we visited, and we were immediately taken with the unique pieces in the store and the friendliness of the owner, Richard. He struck a perfect balance of providing personal attention but also giving us space to explore. He offered practical advice and suggestions based on what we needed for the space and our living situation. We found a sofa we loved right then and there, but having never shopped for furniture before, we wanted to see some other places. Suffice it to say, none of the other furniture stores in the area compared to Monroe in Kent in terms of quality or customer service, and we found ourselves right back where we started! We purchased the couch and Jimmy came out to our home for a design consultation, which was a valuable experience.Unfortunately, after we purchased a couch, there were some unforeseen circumstances that were completely out of Richards control involving the manufacturer. He kept in touch with us the entire time we were working through those issues, continually updating us and even offering a rental couch. When it became clear that the couch wasnt going to be available (again, no fault of Richards or Monroe and Kent,) he didnt just refund us, but he went above and beyond to make sure we were able to find another piece without any extra cost or hassle. We received that couch within two weeks of purchase and LOVE it. After all is said and done, Richard made this entire process worth it. If you want high quality, unique, beautiful furniture and a shop owner who truly cares about his customers, dont go to any other furniture store in the area. We plan on returning to Monroe and Kent as we continue to settle into our new home and were looking forward to it!

What an amazing store!!Everything is beautiful and set up perfectly.Every time I turned around there was something that caught my eye. I could have stayed there all day. The owner, Richard didn’t seem to have a problem with it either. He sat with me and discussed some options for my living room re-do and also showed me some ideas for a new dining table.Also bought some lovely candles and yummy tea!!Will definitely be back there to furnish the rest of my house.

We recently purchased a new home and decided to stroll into Monroe and Kent. We instantly connected with the owners and have since decided to furnish the majority of our home with them. As a family owned business, Jimmy and Richard give extraordinary customer service and their selection of beautiful pieces is on par with more upscale stores but at reasonable prices. 10/10 would highly recommend using their complimentary design services.

After searching all over for our living room furniture, we decided to stop by Monroe and Kent. Our only regret was not visiting sooner. We were immediately sold on both their furniture and customer service. From the moment we walked in, Richard was engaging and supportive. We never felt rushed or pressured. Instead, we stayed in touch via text message from the first day we entered until the day our furniture was delivered. Jimmy and Richard both visited our home to assist with designing our layout and assembling our furniture. The customer service matches the quality of the furniture, and we eagerly recommend Monroe and Kent every chance we get. My wife and I worked with Richard and James to buy a new couch. They were considerate, helpful, and patient. When we finally purchased we ran into an issue (on our end) with delivery date. Richard and his Monroe & Kent team gave us an awesome deal on a beautiful new sectional couch and ottoman (its wine repellent too)! When delivery of the ottoman was delayed due to COVID and weather related issues, Richard constantly reached out with updates and kept us informed on what was going on with our order. I HIGHLY recommend Monroe & Kent not only for their furniture quality but for their fantastic customer service which I feel is all too often neglected by other retailers. My wife and I will absolutely be making Monroe & Kent our first stop for any and all home décor related purchases we need to make.

We couldnt have asked for a better experience! We knew nothing about this store when we walked in and to our surprise we were delighted. We were looking for a sofa and ended up adding an entertainment piece, coffee table and rug. Both Richard and Jimmy (owners) made it so easy to add the look we were seeking for our den. They literally moved furniture and carpets from all over the store to help us figure out what we liked best. They definitely have decorating expertise and couldnt have been more helpful. Everything in the store is very unique. We will definitely be shopping here again in the near future!!!

We recently updated our living space and was in search of a new family room furniture. We struggled with not finding anything we like or the delivery date pushed out 6-8 weeks due to the pandemic. Well as luck will have it our son mentioned this furniture store which I have passed by and not gone into.. WHY I don’t know! Because our first time in the there, I immediately fell in love with the style and friendly service. Pam who helped us suggested coming over for an in-home consultation, which went well. Thanks Pam!The next step was going in to pick out the sofa that will fit our space and lifestyle. I then got to meet and work with Richard, a very pleasant experience; he even stayed late so my husband who was at work could stop in and see the pieces picked out.Delivery day came with a slight problem, which was no fault of the owners Richard and James. But, I tell you they went into overdrive to have things rectified. They were phenomenal!! Not only did they loan us a couch while we wait, but we got to pick out a whole different couch and got to become owners of a one of a kind piece coffee table made by James’s dad.The second delivery came without a hitch. If I could leave zero stars I would. I don’t even have enough space to detail the insanity of the last three months dealing with this company.Suffice to say, I ordered a pendant light in May. After many emails and promises it had or hadn’t or had shipped, I found a way to get in touch with the owner.The owner was helpful (at first) he finally refunded me. And promised to still ship the light. This was three weeks ago. He had promised I would receive it this week.The tracking number I was given still says the package has not shipped, and again, no one is responding with any solid answers.Still no light? I ordered it in MAY.Just don’t risk it with Monroe and Kent. That’s my advice, it’s not worth the hassle.Edited to add this company did eventually ship me a light, but not the one I had originally ordered. After informing them of this I have still received no response. I may have received a refund, but I am out of pocket for the exchange fees (international) and duties.In case you too have a terrible experience try to reach out to their “Group Chief Executive” for help here richard at mandkhome.com but good luck with that...Lastly to Richard and the team at Monroe and Kent that posted all my personal information on trust pilot in response to my negative review there. Please don’t do that again.

I heard about M&K shortly after they opened and was so impressed with the beautiful furniture, decor and friendliness of owners Jimmy & Rich. They have beautiful and reasonably priced merchandise and truly go the distance to help achieve a unique and desired look for a home. Jimmy is thorough, patient and honest and there is not pushy. Their website is easy to navigate and they are very accessible and ready to help in any way. I look forward to working with them in the future!

This store is THE best thing that’s happened to S Jersey. I’m an Interior Designer, so finding quality and unique products, coupled with great pricing and stellar customer service is hard to come by. I’ve shopped everywhere, but this store has won first prize in my book! They are now expanding and opening up another location in Collingswood, which will have hand painted, rehabbed and one of a kind pieces. I can’t wait!

I came to this store expecting to find Restoration Hardware but learned they had moved out years ago! It was a delightful gem to discover. The variety of unique furniture was a refreshing change from the chain brands in the area.I scheduled an in-home consultation with James to measure my family room for a makeover and was so happy to hear that their design services are complimentary. Like other reviewers have said, this company is a joy to do business with. They kept me notified of shipping delays caused because of COVID and I got a free 5-year warranty with my purchase. We need more small businesses like this in Marlton.
