I waited to write this because of other dealerships I’ve dealt over the years. I frankly stop trusting them. Any and all dealerships.So now that I have purchased and serviced 2 vehicles at Elkins I am a believer. Elkins had me from go. I had such a good first buying experience I bought my second vehicle here as well. That happens usually anywhere, but my experience continued long after the sale. That was a different feeling.With all that being said, it was the service department that has put them even further over the top and made me finally write this review. They have been excellent. I used to believe dealership service departments were over priced and not worth the money. I have found Elkins to be competitive in price but excelling in quality of service. Especially in knowledge of my vehicle. Flat out their correct diagnosis of issues with my vehicle has saved me money. Elkins will always be my first choice in buying and servicing my next vehicle as well. Nice work everyone!

When we initially went to Elkins, we were greeted by our soon-to-be salesman, Jim Marks. He was friendly, knowledgeable and thank goodness not pushy, which would have surely driven us away. We were interested in the Trail Blazer but after test driving, we were still unsure due to the smaller size of the vehicle. As we had just started our search for a new car, we decided that we wanted to look at other vehicles. As the days passed, we found ourselves thinking about the Trail Blazer and decided to take another look. The Trail Blazer had almost everything we wanted in a car, except it was a bit on the small size. Needless to say, we decided all the other features outweighed the size. Were very happy with our new Trail Blazer and are learning new things every day. We feel that what we gave up in size was compensated by lots of extras. We have been receiving emails from Elkins offering tips and assistance to help us get to know our little car quickly and easily.In addition to a great sales team, I must add that we were quite impressed by the comfort and cleanliness of the service waiting area. This is something that many times is overlooked but very important to many people.The only negative thing I can add is that maybe while in passing, a friendly smile or hello from other team members should be encouraged.So all in all, we are very satisfied with our experience with Elkins and look forward to a great relationship down the road.

Service Team understaffed tense, not good customer service. I took my car to Elkins Chevrolet on October 20th 11:00am engine light and diagnostic done, they kept my car all day. I was told at 4:30 when i went to dealership to check on status.I was told by service person Justin that he did not have enough staff to take the time to contact warranty company. I had a copy of warranty, provided dealership with phone number etc. in my conversation it seemed what the diagnostic results provided as the malfunction was covered by my warranty but the service dept had to confirm etc. with their protocol. He said he was short staffed and was training a new person. He would attempt to do it that evening or in the morning. He told me to wait until he called me could not tell me when the next day he would have time to contact my warranty. I took my car home with engine light in and with much anxiety. The next day i called dealership in the morning, and spoke to Blake who was very helpful and he told me i would get a call by 12:00pm which i did. At that point i went to dealership, had to rent a car. no courtesy car provided at this dealership. I had to rent a car many calls to warranty company and rental car company while stranded at the dealership. I finally rented a car.TODAY OCTOBER 26th WEDNESDAY MY ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON I JUST PICKED MY CAR UP ON MONDAY AFTER IT BEING DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED FOR THE ENGINE LIGHT BEING ON.AFTER I PICKED UP THE CAR CAME HOME PARKED IT DID NOT MOVE IT UNTIL THIS MORNING. Calling the dealership today.I don’t understand why my engine light when i paid for a full diagnostic and repair and 1 days after i pick it up my engine light is back on.I have been taking my car to Porter Chevrolet in Delaware, where i bought the car for service. I never had a problem, great service. I live 5 minutes from Elkins in New Jersey so I thought to try Elkins dealership in NJ since it is so close to my home. Not good customer service and the repair questionable i am taking the car there today to find out why my engine light is in after all of that was supposed to have been repaired!!!! I am calling and going to dealership today!!!! I should of taken my over $2,0000 repair cost to Porter Chevrolet in Delaware, but i should not have to go out of state when there is a certified chevy dealer 5 minutes from my house. I am concerned my engine light was in this morning again after the repair.

My experience at Elkins this week was nothing short of fantastic. I offer my utmost thanks and appreciation to Adam and Tony respectively. My lease was due in December and up until a few days ago I was in love with my 2019 Blue Colorado (previously leased from Elkins in 2018).I had been looking at another Colorado to lease but with the way the market has been, I never thought I get another one as good as what I had. I reached out to Adam about a Colorado on the lot and Adam worked with me through every step of the way. He understood my requests and thoughts and helped me through the process. I walked away with the Colorado of my dreams!! I want to thank Adam and Tony (understanding my extremely busy lifestyle) getting me in and out of the dealership and into my brand new truck.I can’t thank you both enough for looking out for what I wanted and assuring me that my inquiries would be met with no hesitation. I took my car for an oil change and tire rotation a few weeks ago. When they brought my car out, one of my tires was making a screeching sound. They told me it was a small pebble and would work itself out. When I pulled out on the road, it was so loud I had to turn around and go back. They told me the weight on the tire was placed incorrectly. Now my tire is off balance. Then I took it to get a new radio because my less than 2 year old car radio went bad. I waited for 3 months to get a new radio. They put in the new radio and now the back up camera doesnt work properly. They had my car all day and never called me to update me. I called and Josh Elkins told me he left me a message, which he did not. He also said they have no loaner cars for me. Ridiculous! Then, the service manager, Josh Elkins, tells me he cant get in touch with the German engineers because there is a 12 hour time difference. When I tell him there isnt a 12 time difference in Germany, its only 6 hours, he seems surprised. So, I finally went to pick up my car after they had it for 3 full days. They did NOTHING to it in 3 days. I took it to Mall Chevy the next day and they had it fixed in less than an hour. Josh Elkins is a jerk and a punk. I guess he can be that way because his dad owns the dealership.

Everything was seamless. We were quickly greeted when we arrived to your lot to look at your inventory of trucks, and helped to find exactly what we were looking for. Once we decided we were going to buy, Tony was able to contact our lease holder to work out a buy out to get us a trade in on our leased vehicle and help lay the ground work for the rest of the deal for the following afternoon. This sped up the whole process and eliminated a lot of the stress involved with the sale.

Blake, the service manager, and Connor and Rachel at Elkins Chevrolet, were all incredibly personable and knowledgeable while interacting with me. Blake and the service team did an excellent job servicing my engine after an error code arose and further inspected the car to assure proper performance. The hospitable atmosphere at Elkin’s Chevrolet is one of an unprecedented nature. Everything was completed in an efficiently, promptly and, most importantly, to my satisfaction. Brought my 84 Corvette in on September 24 for an oil change and to replace the driver side window molding. Mechanic took a look at it said it would take about half an hour. Received a phone call on Monday saying it would be a two hour job at $195 an hour labor rate, when we told the service writer what the mechanic said, we decided to split the difference and make it an hour. When I got the vehicle home the door panel was basically flopping off. I called the service writer who spoke to the mechanic, Ronnie who told him that it was like that when we brought it in. I told him absolutely not, and if he would like me to call the guy that I bought the car from two weeks ago to confirm that I would. When my husband went out he noticed there was a screw missing in the door panel. So, I really don’t know how it was like that before, when he didn’t put the screw back in, but thought it was easier just to lie about it. If the door panel was loose like that, it should have been noted on my paperwork beforehand. I also supplied the weatherstrip for the interior and exterior panels, but the interior one was not installed.

My wife and I had another outstanding experience leasing our 3rd vehicle in the past 3 years from Elkins Chevrolet. When you walk in the door you feel very welcome and everyone says hello. I personally dealt with Adam Elkins for my most recent Trail Boss lease and it was the most painless experience ever. Most of the deal was done via e-mail and Adam was always quick to respond to all my questions and made sure in the end I received the best deal possible. You just dont get this type of customer service these days. Adam and his family make sure his dealership is professional and friendly which makes you feel part of the family. Lisa in finance was also very friendly and made the paperwork process very quick and easy. My wife and I are Elkins customers for life ! Was given times for appointments on app. Selected time and set appointment. Called in few days for confirmation, Elkins never received appointment. Arrived at desired time only to find out mechanics don’t start till 8:00. Why give appointment time when no workers? 2.5 hours for oil change & tire rotation on 6 month old truck. While they were advised I was waiting.

Car held 3 weeks. Charged $120 for putting 2 tires on rims while I was given vette with grease smeared on left front wheel and tire sensors out of sync showing right front way too high and left very low.Offered service recommended for 30000 miles,45000, and 60000 respectively. My car had 19790. Tires suggested @900+, later offered at 500+. ????I was not offered ride home.My purchase in 2018 was no hassle and a pleasure. This experience not so much.

Rich the internet guy, Tony, the sales guy, Lisa, the finance gal, Mike, the loan guy and the other Mike, the customer experience/tech guy, were all incredible from start to finish. I traveled over an hour to come to this dealership because they had the exact vehicle I wanted. There was no crazy haggling, no stress, no surprises and I was treated like family with respect that I did not receive at 2 other Chevy dealerships I worked with prior to this experience, one of which I was a prior customer of. I decided to go to Elkins Chevrolet on a whim because the vehicle I was looking to purchase at other dealerships kept falling through (one vehicle was not as described, and two vehicles were sold before I could get to those dealerships). As soon as I drove onto the Elkins lot, I spotted the exact vehicle I was looking for. I entered the dealership, and it seemed as if my sales rep Ryan was already waiting for me, lol. Service at Elkins Chevrolet was wonderful! After I test drove the car, we started the purchasing process, and it was the most efficient process I’ve ever had at a dealership. My wife and I were going to take my 2014 Equinox to the inspection station when she noticed my brake light above my back window was off. We went directly to Elkins without an appointment. Rachel said the service department could look at it. She was kind enough to advise us that the unit had to be replaced. Rachel got a gentleman to take us home while the part was replaced. THANK YOU Elkins Chevrolet! Thank you Jeff Schor, Andrew Alcott and Bob Borman! I traveled 110 miles to this Chevy dealership and Ive never bought a Chevy so I didnt know what to expect. I spoke to Bob Borman to check the availability of a 2021 Chevy Bolt and he provided me all the details, even gave me a quote of both purchase and lease options. That was weird and I was a little surprised because in all my years no one has done that. I was impressed so I decided to take the 2 hour drive. I was met by Jeff Schor, whos friendly and very professional, as a matter of fact every one in the dealership is friendly and professional. I was done in 2 hours and drove the car home, all the negotiations and paper work was quick, the longest part was waiting for the car to be washed and detailed, by the way they did a terrific job. The dealership itself is clean, full of professional people, theres no games, no rude people or high pressure tactics. Why cant all car dealerships be like this? I highly recommend Elkins Chevrolet. I highly recommend Jeff Schor, Andrew Alcott and Bob Borman. Run dont walk to this dealership you will not regret it.

Dealt with both mikes and our experience couldn’t have been better. Traded in my Titan for a Silverado. Very easy process. Test drove the vehicle and decided to get it. Very little pressure by mike the sales rep or mike the sales manager. They let me think on the decision for a few hours before deciding. Once I let them know I wanted the truck they had everything ready for us. Extremely friendly easy and painless process and would recommend Elkins to anyone.

Had a couple coolant hoses changed out last year and they were very courteous and worked quickly. I brought in my own hose but they found another leak and were able to work with me on pricing to ensure I didn’t go over my budget. Also offered military discount which helps. Pricing is as expected for a dealership but if you want it done right and efficiently I think it’s worth the money.

I had a good experience, when I arrived in the service bay, 3 people saw me and 3 people ignored me. As a customer it is important to at a minimum be acknowledged. Even if it is a simple statement as someone with be right with you. I waited in my vehicle for almost 5 minutes, not acknowledged so I went inside 2 people walked past me, not a word was spoken to me. I initiated contact, I was then taken care of in a professional manner. The service department was courteous and attentive. My service was completed in the time frame I was promised.

One of the things about this company is that they take care of you and make sure you get exactly what you want. So welcoming my wife and I bough the 2020 Chevy Travers last year and everything has been working perfectly and they call us to make sure everything is working good. This year we went back to trade in our 2014 Nissan Sentra for Chevy Equinox 2019. And the guy name Tony took good care of us and the other employees to did great we love them all.

I brought my 2018 certified used malibu in because I noticed the passenger side floor mat was wet after a recent rain storm. They couldnt resolve the issue. Another rain storm on June 15th resulted in a wet passenger side mat again.

The Salesman, Jim and Bill, we’re excellent. Was a quick and easy process until the Finance department had to begin their process. Waited 2 hrs from the time the salesman finished their paperwork and the finance department was able to see me. Missed putting my daughter to bed.

I am extremely upset the price of the oil change and tire rotation raised by $10 and I was never informed until I was checking out. This is completely unacceptable. What if I didn’t have the correct amount of money? If you’re going to raise the price let the people know.
