They are across the street from me, I love it, but even when I lived in Sandy Springs and Roswell I would still come out here. The Wagyu flank is a favorite, the ultra Wagyu strip is Soooo good. Ive never had any other Biltong, but theirs is so good I always end up buying 2 packs of it. Their Xing Chiang sausage is the best, its good for any meal, sweet and spicy, its especially good in ramen with their beef stock as the broth.I havent had a bad experience here yet, not sure why I hadnt left a review until now, but they are the only place I buy my meat from.

What an excellent butcher shop! Picked up my first wagyu ribeye ever - OMG! They have their own salt blend which is just fantastic, as well as a smoked cheddar I picked up based on reviews. Great jerky as well! 5 stars 🌟

Dry aged steaks: the best thing that happened to me during the COVID lockdown. Their gulf shrimps are great if you are early enough. Sausages are always a hit with our guests.

This place is clean and well run, the meat is high quality and there’s a great selection of local meat that gets rotated regularly. You won’t always find your usual cuts, American grass fed tenderloin, plain chicken breasts, etc, their stuff is pretty gourmet, but they’re outstanding for going and finding a focal piece for a dish, and finding interesting new cuts.

This place is great. A real butcher that knows what every cut is best for, plus where each animal came from and how it was raised. Local farms and local connections so a much smaller carbon footprint plus it tastes so much better than anything youd get at a regular grocery. None of the three employees there yesterday were wearing masks. So that tends to spill over into the customers. Over half of the customers there yesterday were not wearing masks, including a young child. And its a small space, and they were crowded. So even though I like their deli meats (although some are way too fatty) and their wagyu beef, I will wait until Covid is gone before I ever return. One time I did buy their prepackaged ground beef, and I am not a fan. I did not like the taste or the strong smell.

I wanted something special for Valentines Day. I walked out of Heywoods w a steak that was too heavy to carry to the car, so went back in and explained that this cowboy steak is too big. The owner sweetly explained how to carry and cook this enormous steak. The steak was truly an enormous success.

I don’t care what choice of meat they carry but if the customer service is bad it reflects on every aspect of the store. Will not be shopping here for any of their products. Their are many other butcher shops that are willing and eager to help new customers and carry prime meats as well.

I walked in this afternoon & no one behind the counter was wearing a mask. I asked if they wore masks while preparing & handling the food & they just shook their heads no. I do what I can to support local small business but not at the risk of my family’s health. This business clearly does not priorities the safety of their costumers. Not surprised it was empty.

Literally no where else I would go when shopping for special family gatherings. Have bought caveman sized steaks for Fathers day, charcuterie for Christmas and even just some great beef and sausages to grill whenever your team is playing, I have never been dissapointed by anything Ive bought or the service that came with it. Mothers day is this weekend and this is my first stop. Glad to have a butcher shop like this close to home.

The best local butcher in Marietta! The hungarian sausage, diver scallops, and the smoked cheddar cheese are favorites of mine. Heywoods has a wonderful range of products, and they even have hard-to-find guanciale for carbonara! The butchers are very knowledgeable, the customer service is wonderful, and the prices are affordable for a butcher that is mindful of how the meat is sourced.

Heywood s is one of the best kept secrets in the Marietta / East Cobb area. The meat, fish and sausage is of a much higher quality than whats available at even higher end grocery stores. I am extremely impressed with your professional staff who provide high standards of service. And your store is a wonderful showcase and working butcher shop at the same time.The staff removed the pin bones from the fresh Georgia trout I bought. And provided recommendations on which of your excellent sausages to serve. Thanks Heywoods, Ill be back!

Great local Butchers. Every time I go to Heywoods it takes me back to the way things used to be. I can remember all through out my childhood when we needed meat we always went to the butcher shop. They knew us by name and remembered what we typically purchased. And its no different to Heywoods. Patrick and the fellas at Heywoods will treat you right and take wonderful care of you! Awesome to find Heywoods where big box supermarket chains have nearly put an end to the neighborhood butcher shops. Fresh, locally sourced products!I bought a beef brisket (cap end). After a liberal amount of my own rub and over 8 hours in the smoker, the results were superb. Ill be back!

Heywoods is a must visit if you are a meat person, especially if you appreciate top quality and variety. They always have a wide variety of sausages, some staples and some stuff you have never seen before and might never again. The beef is fantastic, especially all the wagu cuts (go with the wagu flank steak, I cant stress that enough). This place is absolutely great. I dont give 5 stars often. Heywoods deserves it.

All of their products are made with integrity and pride. Locally sourced animals are used and they make a variety of specialty sausages. Cant find the sausage you want? Try Heywoods. Chances are, if they dont have it, they can make it. Their smoked deli ham is to die for!

This place is very good. I havent been to many butcher shops in the ATL area, but Heywoods is great and I get there as much as I can. Always quality meats and very helpful staff. Patrick is a great guy and you can tell he loves his business. Weve purchased everything there from a big reserved turkey for a family holiday visit to awesome deli meats for work lunches to outstanding sausages to clutch steaks to fresh trout. They have it all and it is all top of the line. Only complaint is my first visit I got headcheese and it blew my mind, now they never have it! What a tease.

The owner is an absolute genius! I went in overwhelmed by the alluring smells and selections, but I went out with a bagful of unique tasty pasta, and turkey burgers meat for a king!

If youre into artisanal sausage and charcuterie, Heywoods is one of the best in town. Their hours make it a little difficult to make a random stop on the way home midweek, but its so worth it to stop by when theyre open. I love the dark forest ham, Taiwanese sausage, duck pastrami, lingucia and genoa salami. Their smoked fish is great, too.
