Hi all, so back in August I bought a used 03 suburban with 178k on the odometer and was in exellent interior and exterior shape as well mechanically (or so I thought)Within the first week of ownership the transmission was shifting quite hard from 1-2And after searching around this place came up with good reviews and decided to bring it in for diagnostic, and sadly my good deal purchase was going to need a transmission...Decided to bite the bullet as the rest of truck was really good shape and let this shop rebuild it. I waited to write the review becouse I wanted to see how it did in months of driving and all I can say is this is by far the best experience Ive gotten out a rebuild unit (Ive had 3 transmissions rebuilt in my lifetime) super smooth and shifting like new!!!! STAY AWAY!!! I can’t say it enough, don’t go here! Literally the worst customer service I’ve experienced at any auto shop. They won’t call you back. They won’t finish their work on time. And their work won’t be done right. I don’t even know why they thought it was acceptable to give me truck back in WORSE driving condition then when I brought it in. If you tell them somethings wrong with what they did she will immediately say it’s not their fault and must be something else.

Speedy Transmission is an excellent transmission repair shop. The people there are great to work with. The main gal at the deck is extremely knowledgeable as well as professional and a nice person. She is either the owner or employee but if shes an employee she needs a raise. I am especially appreciative of this shop as they came highly recommended by a friend of mine and the only transmission shop in the area that I know who were willing and able to work on my vehicle. Evidently my vehicle (a 2012 GMC Penske box truck) has a transmission that is more difficult to work on than normal and other shops in the area had declined to even give me a quote as either their bays werent big enough or the transmission itself was too difficult. What a gem we have here in Marietta. Kristina and the crew at Speedy are most professional and honest. My 91 VW Jetta is having shifting issues and after seeing such good reviews I decided to give this place a try. Boy I am glad I did. I had already taken this to another shop who gave me an outrageous price to fix without even looking at the car.Speedy took time to diagnose my vehicle and determined it is in need of bushings. They felt another local mechanic was better suited to do this work and pointed me in his direction. Even though they had my VW for two days and used their lift to thoroughly diagnose, they charged me nothing. Businesses like this should be commended and should go far. I will definitely be back when issue warrants and I will shout their name from the rooftops.

I had my 2009 Honda Accord diagnosed by them a little over a year ago and they were awesome. They little by little looked at everything and tried to save me as much money as they could. Being out of work at the time and my significant other at the time was on deployment, I was worried about money so they tried to save me as much as they could.I currently have a 2013 Suburban that im driving all the way from South Georgia, thomasville area, to get looked at by them. They are the only ones I would trust to look at anything with a transmission lol.

I used Speedy Transmission twice for my Trailblazer SS and the service was beyond my expectation. This most recent visit, i dropped it off for some transmission diagnostic on a shift issue. While the vehicle was under theyre care, they always called me before they closed to keep me updated on the status of the repair. They were not able to fix the issue, but gave me advice to where i could possibly have the issue solved. If i ever need any transmission work done that i cannot handle. Speedy will always be my first choice.

I can not talk this place up enough. So a little backstory my truck is a 1970 Jeep Gladiator. I brought my truck in because of a leak and they soon discovered that my transmission case was cracked. Now my vehicle being 50 years old is already a problem when it comes to finding parts but my vehicle is also very rare and there are hardly no parts still being made. So a cracked transmission might as well have been the nail in the coffin. But they looked everywhere they could for a week and a half and was able to find the parts I needed. They never gave me any slack for taking up space at their shop for so long and in fact seemed to enjoy getting to work on my vehicle. They finished up the work quickly after the parts come in, and then my truck wouldnt start. The wiring in my truck was really messed up so I had an idea of what the problem was and they were nice enough to let me take a crack at it and even use their tools. We got the truck running and I was on my way. They didnt charge me for any of the extra time my truck took up space and were kind and courteous the whole time. Kristina and the guys in the shop are some of the friendliest and most professional people Ive met. As someone who served 4 years in the Marine Corps seeing people who so genuinely enjoy and take pride in their work is a breath of fresh air.-Trenton Mackey

I came across this place doing a google search. They were not able to assist with my car but referred me to a place that also takes Easy Pay. The ladies in the office were so nice and professional. I like the fact that they were nice enough to refer me to someone else for help. They were unable to help me at the price point I wanted (because my car is older and it would cost more than its worth) but they didnt even charge me a diagnostic fee to look at my transmission and see if it was something simple. I found this shop on the ATRA website, and after reading other reviews I decided to use them. My 1994 Explorer is in excellent shape but the transmission was slipping and hunting gears. Im a decent shadetree mechanic but I dont mess with automatic transmissions. After speaking with Kristina, the owner, and Chris, their master builder, I knew I was in the right place. Melvin completed the rebuild on my transmission, and now it drives like a new one! The price was reasonable and a good bit less than average quotes I had seen. I have full faith in Kristina and her team should I ever need transmission work in the future.

Period.As someone whos been lied to and taken advantage of by mechanics and dealerships everywhere, and spent a small fortune trying to maintain or inevitably having to buy replacement vehicles, I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it feels to have found a trustworthy mechanic.I shopped around for quotes before coming here. Most mechanics didnt even look under the hood before telling me that I would likely need an entirely new transmission because my check engine light was showing codes for a few transmission-related issues that would involve taking everything apart to replace a few small parts, which is a lot of labor, and so Id be better off replacing the transmission.I came here, they took 45 minutes to look under the hood (for free) and discovered that my wires had been exposed and were rubbing up against my engine, causing the transmission-related symptoms I was experiencing (insanely bipolar gear-shifting, I mean just all over the place. I looked like a 15 year-old learning to drive stick-shift for the first time and failing miserably).They fixed my wires, and now my car drives like a dream. Absolutely amazing. And for more than $1,300 less than what I was quoted by the other shops.Just going to mention this for the women out there who arent super mechanically-inclined: every time Ive been screwed over, its been because men have taken advantage of my little knowledge of car mechanics. Im sure Im not the only one. I believe this shop is woman-owned or at least woman-run, a woman fixed my car, and I could not be happier with their level of honesty and integrity. Today I took my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to Speedy Marietta knowing that it needed a torque converter. Kristina welcomed me in and had a technician, Chris, talk to me and check out my Jeep. I was surprised he knew so much about that particular model and its transmission. He explained the function of the torque converter and the problems associated with this particular type. I rode with him as he drove my Jeep and monitored the computer, explaining the readings to me. He was with me about 45 minutes and there was no charge for the diagnosis. Chris assured me that the new torque converter is an improved, heavier duty model. Im confident that Kristina and her crew will do a good job for me, so Im taking the Jeep in tomorrow. Ill update my review in the near future.

Took my car there to have it fixed and they gave me a price and a time frame. Call and said that it was done. I went to pay and it was less then that he told me and everything is smooth. I will be taking my other cars there.

The driveshaft and gas line on my husbands truck had a very unfortunate incident on the expressway two Saturday mornings ago. We were towed to Speedy. Since they arent open on Saturdays, we talked with them Monday morning.The truck is a long bed which makes it extremely difficult to find the correct replacement. They tried many times, each time receiving a part they could not use. We were always kept in the loop on the status and never felt like they were ignoring us. After so many attempts, the team came up with a different solution and were able to get the repairs done.Repairs are great! The truck runs well and my husband is very happy with the job done. If you want a place that treats you well, works very hard to make things right, communicates with you on every step AND gives very fair pricing - this is the place! Speedy Transmissions helped me through the entire process! Initially, I attempted to diagnose the issue myself. Thinking it was the Torque Converter I performed the R/R. Even with attempting to do it on my own Kristina allowed me to talk to a very knowledgeable and pleasent mechanic. He offered me sound advice on what to look for during my self repair. Which is very rare, most shops will not allow you to get professional advice from them. Fast Forward, I performed the R/R but once the trans was installed with the new Torque Converter the bolt pattern did not match, wrong part! At that point, I towed it to Speedy! Keeping me in the loop once dropped, they diagnosed the issue and gave me the repair options. In their repair, Speedy realized that it was more than a Torque Converter issue. It was a bearing that failed in the transmission which cased my issue. I now have my vehicle back with confidence in the repair along with a 12mo/unlimited mile warranty! Mechanically clueless. Thought I was having transmission trouble. Have been ripped off twice before on car repairs. They put my car through all the diagnostics. Nothing was wrong with the transmission. Only took 30 minutes. There was no charge. Even got the name of a trustworthy mechanic. Very pleased.

I gladly give 5 stars for Speedy Transmission of Marietta. They rebuilt the transmission on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 5 years ago and Ive put 80k miles on it since with zero issues. I just had to have the transmission rebuilt on a 2000 Lexus GS300 and I definitely took it to Speedy Transmission. Had it back for a couple weeks now and it drives like brand new again. The prices were fair both times and the work was done in a timely manner. I highly recommend then for any transmission issue!

About a year ago when purchasing a vehicle I asked them to take a look at my transmission, it felt like it was shifting irregularly at high speeds so I wanted to see if that was the reason. The owner came out and looked at it and quickly found out it was just a cylinder misfire. Didnt charge me for anything. I did not need any work after all but was able to refer my parents to them who did need a transmission replaced, they were extremely pleased with how well they were taken care of. Fast forward a few months, I noticed oil leaking in my driveway and had taken it to my mechanic to look at. Turns out is was the rear main seal which required removal of the transmission. My usual mechanic offered to fix it and game me a fair price but was told it would take about 3 days due to scheduling. Not only was speedy transmission less costly, they were also able to get me in the following day and I was able to pick it up that afternoon. As bad an experience that needing transmission work is, they certainly made it a positive one.I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing transmission work.

These guys were very helpful and thorough. I had a problem with my clutch that nobody was able to pinpoint. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it. They kept in constant contact with me, gave me regular updates, and even offered to give me a ride. Nobody could beat the price either. Great experience!

I brought my F150 here after I had some sputtering at low RPMs while hauling a camper. Not only did they get to my vehicle to run the diagnostic quickly but they also called me to inform me it wasn’t my transmission that was the issue. Turned out to be cylinder misfire. She did not charge me for the test and offered to refer me to a good mechanic. While they didn’t perform any work for me, I could tell they were customer centric as many other people have shared here. Because of this I will definitely refer anyone I know their way.

What a great experience! I recently took my 04 Trailblazer to Speedy Transmission and i cant say thank you enough to Kristina Magic and Chris. Its so hard nowadays to find good, professional and HONEST people. They are extremely knowledgeable and the price is so reasonable (dont get me wrong, it hurt to pay $2k but it wouldve been a lot more somewhere else) for the quality of work they do. They were in constant communication with me during the repair; they have this text message system that informs you what stage of the repair your car is in - kudos for that. They stayed within the price range they told me before they took the transmission down even thought unexpected additional repairs were needed. I love the fact that they invest in training for their team, as a matter of fact Chris was about to go to Vegas for some additional training. All in all, i wold recommend Speedy Transmission 100%.

Ok. So some may wonder why I gave the five stars, well that’s easy, they earned it. Here’s why.1. Speedy is speedy. They diagnosed (for free) the xmission issue and had me in and out in under thirty minutes.2. Chris fully explained his findings and what it would take to fix the problem completely.3. Kristina ( the owner ) was spot on helping with explaining the issue and giving an immediate estimate of the cost including how long it would take to put my Avalanche back on the road.4. There was NO pressure to get me to do the work there. They were happy to do it or for me to get another opinion and estimate. No hard selling no upselling.5. The estimate they provided was actually a bit LESS than my normal mechanic ( whom I’ve used on at least 10 cars n trucks over 30 years said it would be).6. The truck was ready within an hour of when they said it would be, which was a five working day estimate.7. The cost was actually LESS THAN THE ESTIMATED 2500.8. Overall Kristina, Chris and their crew are professionals and even more importantly HONEST!

I had a great experience. I found them in a Google search. They did everything they said they would. The price didnt exceed their estimate. They paid for me to get home when I pulled my van up in 2nd gear. They were vey friendly through the entire process, from the staff in the front, all the way to the service tech that stayed over 15 minutes so I could get it back a day earlier than they originally thought. Bottom line is they are honest, competitive, and the best out there in an industry full of crooks. Thank you Speedy for giving me my livelihood back ahead of schedule.

One of the best car mechanics Ive ever worked with.My 2004 VW Passat had what I thought was a bad transmission. Speedy figured out that it was actually a computer system problem and instead of spending $4000 on a not needed transmission, I spent $1200 on resetting my computer system and replacing some transmission mounts.Needless to say, they were a life saver.10/10 would recommend to anyone.Very attentive and great customer service, fair pricing, and fast but great work.

LOVE THESE PEOPLE! I admit I was scared to go to any transmission shop because I dont know anything about transmissions so whatever I am told I wouldnt know any better. My car was really acting up and I feared the worst but after these folks diagnosed it they called to say I did not need a new transmission. After driving my car around to check for a transmission issue the guy helping me said I do see there is a problem but its no happening enough for me to diagnose. I recommended you drive on it more until it breaks. I was shocked at this recommendstion to drive on a faulty transmission. I left upset at the possibility of ending up broken down on the side of the road. I ended up taking my car to Aamco Transmisson where they diagnosed my transmission issue being due to a faulty torque converter. My car now has a brand new working transmission thanks to them and I feel safe commuting to work. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because although the recommendation was inadequate he was very polite throughout the interaction.

Thought I had a transmission problem, they did a free computer ck, etc and said it isnt the transmission. They referred me to a local place for auto svcs. Very honest, to me..

I was driving from Florida to Michigan when my van engine area got extremely noisey along with a burning smell on I-75 in Marietta. The motor was fine so I thought the transmission was going bad. I was concerned that, being from out of town, I would be ripped off but trusted the glowing 5 star reviews of Speedy Transmissions in Marietta. Well Josh, Chris and the techs are among the nicest and most honest people Ive ever dealt with. They test drove the van twice and plugged in their diagnostic machine. Afterwards they explained that the transmission was working perfectly and explained that due to the extreme hot weather and the traffic slowdown on I-75 my fan clutch on the front of the engine was working overtime to cool the engine. The said I could continue my trip. I even offered to pay them for their time but they refused.

Do not go to this transmission shop! The service is horrible. The owner overcharged me even after collecting the money from the warranty. The owner is dishonest and untrustworthy. Avoid them at all cost!
