The service advisor leaves a lot on the table... not happy. My car was ready, and yet I had to wait over 20 min longer. I went up to the counter after I saw my car was ready and was told he would be with me soon. I was sitting in the waiting area and recieved a phone call that I would be sent a link for payment... what, no personal service? The worst part... I waited another 12 minutes only to still not get the link. I finally got to the counter and they didnt have my paperwork ready... no apology, nothing.... no one talked to me about my car.. no one thanked me for coming in... Unbelievable. I walked out to my car and the complimentary car wash... a... not.. more like they sprayed my car with water... it was still very dirty. This was absolutely the worst service I have had.
Very dissatisfied. Extremely long wait and when trying to tell them about my issues, issues that have been documented on discussions boards, they returned my car telling me they couldnt duplicate the problem. So I spent an hour was able to record the same issue and sent them the recording. Still havent heard how they plan to resolve the problem. Very poor customer service and follow up.
Did not complete service after keeping car for over two days. Only changed oil. Did not let me know location was closing. Ordered part and said they would call me when it came in and would schedule rest of service. After being a customer for 20 years and buying 5 Mazda’s was not notified of closure. No evidence of the part being ordered. No one called to reschedule service.
Besides Ron, being kind. The things I needed done were not done. I showed him the caught water from air conditioning trapping it. Its still there. I told him there was a hesitation that had started with car, I guess no diagnosis to that, it still quite dramatic. Not happy. Im too tired to argue this, life has been alot, as we all know. I just wont come back.
I bought my car here and bring it in regularly for maintenance and repairs when needed. I had my car serviced by Eddie Goines.Eddie always provides stellar customer service and cares about each individual and their needs. Now that my vehicle is over 150k miles, I continue to bring my vehicle to Mazda because of the service Eddie provides and the confidence in services performed.The only area for service improvement would be changes that occurred over the last year. Tire rotations are no longer free when they used to be with the purchase of 4 tires. Also, coupons are harder to come by. These make me really have to consider if my car should be fully serviced here if other places are competitive.I would love to see more service perks for people who bought vehicles from the dealership and are over 100k miles.
I dont know if this review will make any difference at having them improve their service. Warning to anyone considering a Mazda, look for something else. The dealer network is terrible, sales and service are very different in how they treat customers. Mazda corporate does not care because dealers are private so they dont care how well or poorly they represent the brand itself. Sales will lie to you to sell you a vehicle and then the rest of the business will never keep up on what they promised.Now, about my service experience... Over the last five years of ownership of my wifes car weve never had a single good service experience at Jim Ellis Mazda. We made an appointment to have my wifes cars oil changed and tires rotated which they were booked out for 5 weeks (never had that issue with any brand vehicle Ive owned). While waiting for our appointment the radio system in our CX-5 stopped working. I called and updated the dealer that Id like that looked at and fixed too. Also told them we were going out of town for a week so they can keep the car. Once we got there we dropped the car off and told them the same thing again. For most of the week that we were gone we did not receive any update. The day before we were expected to head back I called and was told they had called and left a voicemail asking for authorization to order the parts. No missed call or voicemail was to be found. We asked for a courtesy vehicle which they proudly tell you they offer at time or purchase or each time they solicit you to trade your existing vehicle which once again ended up being a point of contention with the service manager. I had to call the following day and they were magically able to arrange for one after being told they had no cars and everything they had coming in was already spoken for. Once back form the trip we picked up the courtesy car and then still took an other week and a half to get the car repaired. Ultimately it took almost three weeks to get our car fixed, a $1000 repair bill and as usual terrible communication and attitude from the service staff. If cars werent a depreciating asset Id have moved on to another brand 2 years after buying my wifes car solely because of the dealer network and more specifically Jim Ellis treats their customers. Id love to have them contact me and promise me a flawless service experience for the next 2 to 3 services and actually see them fulifll it.
I came in without an appointment. The service people were very courteous. I was then given a ride to my office. I was then picked up at my office when my car was ready. I appreciated the prompt service and everyone was courteous and friendly..
My experience is always exceptional here. I have had my car 12 years and it has only come here for service because of the level of service i receive. I am buying another mazda just based on that!

I had an oil change and ended up having an unexpected oil leak. The issue was handled quickly and professionally. They went above and beyond what I expected. Fabulous customer service!
I have had a rubbing sound in the suspension since I got the car over a year ago. I finally got a technician to hear it and they were going to order the parts and let me know when they arrived. They never called. I called back and the service tech said he would check on the parts and call me right back. That was a week and a half ago and I have yet to hear from them. Customer service is definitely slipping from what it used to be.
My interactions with the service team was an absolute pleasure from the moment I pulled into the garage. I was meant with warm smiles and detailed information about their social distancing practices. Throughout the process I was kept up-to-date on pricing and timing. I loved that there were no surprises when my car was ready for pickup!I cant remember my service reps name but he was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I enjoyed working with him the entire time and will make sure to request him if I have to return.
Professional approach and my service advisor kept me informed along the way. The video from the technician was a nice touch. Should definitely do more and continue in that area.

I bought my car new with them last year & this was a service for the 5000 mile check up included with my purchase. They changed oil, cleaned my car, rotated tires & checked on some minor things I brought up like my door getting caught on the rubber seal when you closed it, and the AC blowing hot out one vent and cold out another. They also installed new software. Doug was my service provider and he was great, super professional, kept me up to date on everything. Really nice visit.
Had to have the front wiring harness replaced, and because it was a rather expensive repair, I was skeptical at first. But Eddie was extremely patient with me (even when I didnt deserve it) and helped me understand exactly what happened and why. Great service all around!

My experience with Mazda Marietta for the past 10 years has been excellent however my last three services have not been so good I just had a service last Friday 5th of February 2021 and they were trying to get me to do a service that was already completed November of 2020 the records indicated that I declined services that were already completed late last year so I think this company now especially the service department is trying to make money by thinking that clients forgot that they already did services like automated transmission service brake steering service induction service the higher price Services which I know I complete it and I have the receipt I was completed last year it was not needed at every oil change so I know theyre trying to get over on me ly and just get more money out of somebody because Im a loyal customer after 11 years

Eddie my usual service advisor is a great guy. Always willing to go above and beyond to help inform me and keep me updated on services and whether I need them or not. That kind of service doesnt come around too often. Ive been dealing with him since 2013 when we got our CX-5 brand new and hes been nothing but great.

My engine failed after the warranty had expired. The service professionals worked with mazda to share the cost of repair. I was very impressed by this outcome!
Maron is a great guy and did a superb job assisting me. There were a few minor hiccups that I wont get into, however Maron was super professional and extremely apologetic. Been using Jim Ellis my entire life, and I will continue to use them.

Not impressed with this location they went downhill ever since they moved the location from off of cobb parkway and delk road. The new location now is beautiful however, the people in the service department are not friendly theyre pretty nasty but the service techs take great care of the vehicles
They were able to see me without an appointment and the service guys took great care of my car. They suggested a couple of preventative services for my car and a priority list on how soon I should take care of them.

Beware of the service advisor when he asks for brake pads replacements at your 3rd or 4th service or for that matter any job that sounds unusual given the condition of your car.. I was ripped off recently at this place where they charged $240 for labor alone for brake pads replacement and with parts it was like $320.. Make sure you get the cost written on a paper before you authorize the advisor and ask them about labor cost specifically.. Same job costs ~200$ outside with OEM parts.. They hurry up things when they talk to you to get authorization so that you do not find enough time to evaluate and fall into the trap.. Do not hurry up and ask Advisor to take it slow and explain with patience.. Insist on showing you the evidence of anything unusual recommendation and do not trust right away.. Do not fall for discounts talk as its like charging more upfront and applying discount to make it look like favor but at the end you have paid more than what it usually takes.. Basically they are trained sales guys installed there to rip customers. If you are ignorant on type of service you ask them or give them any hint about your lack of knowledge around mechanical aspects when you talk to them, you become easy target. If your car is out of warranty, i suggest do not go to dealerships at allI learnt my costly lesson and wanted to spread awareness here..

I got my car services here one time and came other times for recall reason. Even with appointment, expect to wait 2hrs. However, the customer service is good, so will come back for car services.
