Great service at maple grove store from Lynda at the register! Much better experience than at hobby lobby. The store is well labeled. Found the items I needed. Good sale prices-70-80%off. Then Lynda also showed me their online coupon which saved me 50% off my highest regular price item. Nice!

Found new project storage boxes, that were 1/2 off, and many great items, I didnt even know I needed!!

As with most retail these days, stock levels are wonky, some things are hit or miss. Im the before-times this would have garnered a two star review, but the staff is friendly and working hard, Im confident things will improve.

What should be a 5 minute stop always takes an eternity. Long lines with 1 cashier. Long lines at the cutting counter with 1 cutter. If youve ever wondered what purgatory is like, come stand in line at this store.

This store is large and has almost anything a crafter could want. I go there frequently and there generally is a long line to check out. They seem to be short staffed most days, but the workers do try their best and have great attitudes.I gave it 3 stars because it does take a while to check out and the store is generally pretty messy.

I dont visit here often. But they have what I need, when I need it. Very diverse and all their people are pretty nice and helpfu

Just moved to the area from a southern metro area and was pleasantly surprised to see the store was well-stocked for scrapbooking, papercrafting and beading. It also was clean and lighting was pretty good. Havent ventured into the fabric area yet.

I hate this company. If you are making your staff wear the masks to protect others it would make sense that you would also enforce that your customers wear them as well. Way to not care about your employees.

Customer service was good. As with many retailers nowadays, they lacked a sufficient number of employees.

Huge holiday sale! I visited on 12-1-20 Masks $1- $2 each, nice quality too. Fabric 50-70% off. Holiday decorations 40-60% off. Worth the visit, hardly anyone there in mid afternoon.

This store needs a makeover. Used to be nice, but now it is outdated. Empty shelves and the sale stuff is always a disaster area. Needs better upkeep.

I love the large poinsettia stems in red and the Buffalo plaid wired ribbon. Great splashes of color in our entry display.

Extensive product selection, even throughout the pandemic sewing boom. A few more employees would be helpful, as wait times to have fabric cut or to pay for purchases can be longer than 10 minutes. Other than that, it’s a good store.

If you dont sew and want help this really isnt your place. I wish the had sewing classes for complete beginners but the sewing machines are all for a vendor apparently.I guess they dont really want to expand their customer base or they would make new people feel welcome, not hopeless and lost.But if you are a quilter, seamstress or tailor then you already know this is your place.

We like the Framing department and have had many pieces done there. Gracie and Kelly are a fantastic duo. We have been very satisfied with their work and would highly recommend them.

Peg was very helpful and very knowledgeable with our Husqvarna sewing machines.

Lots of good deals. Store was well organized by seasonal themes. Cashiers were very efficient and the wait was reasonable.

Id gone to buy a zipper, which was a 22 one. It wasnt readily available because most of the zippers I looked at were 24,26 20 18 ect. But the cashier Sue was especially positive and friendly, so this made the experience fun.

Its convenient, but they never seemed to be fully stocked. And their pick-up in store option kind of sucks because every time Ive tried they have cancelled half of my order because they didnt have it anymore. Just wish it was stocked better.

Always end up leaving with more than I had intended! Staff is always amazing helping me find what I didnt know I needed, but definitely cant leave with out it!

I love going to this Joann’s. I really do! But today I called about an order I placed yesterday. I knew due to the backlog of orders, that it could be a bit before I could pick up my own. I just wanted to call and see if I should come in tomorrow. But when I tried asking, the gentleman on the phone rudely said “if you haven’t gotten an email, it isn’t ready. We are still working on orders from Friday”. Like, I get I’ll get an email. But I like to call and confirm too! And I get being busy, but that doesn’t mean you get a pass on being rude toward someone. I might have to reconsider my shopping location.

Have been trying to Minnesota Wild cotton for weeks. Never any on the shelf. Was in there yesterday and saw an associate cutting and bagging some. Not sure who gets access to it but its not us!!

Lovely green and white themed pictures are NOT this grungy, messy, under-stocked store. Entirely misleading. Very disappointed.

The store was well stocked with things I needed. The fabric I liked was 25% off, the employees were helpful and the woman (Lynda) who checked us out was extremely helpful in getting us some extra coupons by using my phone. I saved 50% on 2 separate purchases with her help! I greatly appreciate an employee who will help customers with savings like that. Thanks Joann Fabrics!

Pack a lunch! Any creative person will find themselves here for hours. This place is huge. You cant even see from one side to another. They accept competitors coupons. The staff is always friendly.

The staff at the Ridgedale Joanns are amazingly knowledgable...and if they dont know an answer, they say so and try to learn more. I LOVE being greeted with smiles and by name!

I was just in your store and purchased 4 picture frames. The older cashier was so unfriendly and grumpy, as of if I was wasting her time by giving you my business.I have been a frequent visitor and this is the first time That I encountered someone who doesn’t like what she’s doing. These days, retailers are very pleased and thankful, just because you chose to do business with them.Just so you know, I have zero tolerance for unpleasant customer care representatives.

Worst customer service ever. I was denied help bc they were apparently closed. When I asked the lady, I have a quick question, she goes were closed. Then the other employee around the corner says under her breathe (as if I didnt hear her -_-) yup.

They had everything I needed to finish my studio including the Green screen and other fabric colors.

Curbside pickup was frustrating because the wait was uncharacteristically long. Had to wait 20 min with little kiddos in the car because the order was buried underneath a pile which demonstrates the disorganization that must be there. Disappointed with the service..

Im writing in regards to my CURBSIDE pick-up order placed on 5/18/20 I have waiting a week for my entire order to be cancelled due to it not being in stock. No phone call from anyone just cancelled and emailed saying its not available. I have worked in customer service for 20 years and I would like to let you know that is TERRIBLE customer service making someone wait a week for something that is curbside to tell them its not there any longer. If I had known it wouldnt be in stock or fulfilled in time before it was automatically cancelled. I would have cancelled way before to order from somewhere more reliable but instead I kept waiting thinking I already placed the order I may as well just be patient and wait for it to be done. Instead my patience as a paying customer to your company is left with nothing, no fabric that Ive been waiting a week on, and no customer discount for my next purchase to KEEP ME AS A CUSTOMER. I understand the difficult circumstances we are in right now, but that is no excuse for not trying to keep your customers satisfied and providing good customer service. I will never shop with your company again.

HUGE location. I loved how many items they have and on top of a crazy clearance sale happening I was a kid in a candy store.

Great deal on custom framing, cant wait to pick it up. They allowed me to take frame samples home to make sure I had chosen the correct looks.

Their rolls of fabric are not organized in Amy meaningful fashion. When Im looking for upholstery grade fabric, I have to check every single roll to find this out. Huge fail in my opinion.

Great customer service on the phone call. I was looking for a certain item and they were able to go into store to check and directed me to the right location for the product. I was able to get to the store with ease.

It was not a good experience today. There were 2 workers cutting fabric. One had several bolts to cut from and the other one was chatting up which backed up the line waiting. Then the chatty one stopped cutting with 5-6 people still waiting to tidy up the area...put fabric in bins to be put away and sorting cardboard bolts for recycle. What about waiting on your paying customers in a timely manner??? Ugh! It took all my patience to keep quiet. Not pleased with the customer service.

Longest wait time in line for cashier- 25 minutes; far too long wait time to pay.Store has many actual cash registers, yet @ most - only 3 actual cashiers.Pumpkin Spice Aroma wafting through store, hits your nose upon entering. Last 7 visits- blasted w/overwhelming smell.

This is a nice store. Large, lots of supplies in stock. Knocking off a star for a complete lack of customer service. No one was rude or anything, but we werent welcomed to the store or spoken to by any of the workers while there until we went to check out. Not bad, but not 5 star worthy.

They have a decent stick of big name yarn brands. They are helpful, if you can hunt down a staff member. Always check to see what coupons they have.

I was at the Maple Grove location on 12/14/18 with my mother. Now, I never complain because I worked for 17 years taking complaints in retail and solving problems...but this blew my mind. My mother and I picked foam from it’s section...there were foam pieces you had to measure out and purchase but they had already measure rolls for 14.99 clearly marked. It didn’t have a price tag when we were up at the register so I offered to run back. The employee at our register was very sweet and kind but as I was walking away I could hear another employee(name tag Micheala) raise her voice at my mother and said we needed to bring it back to measure and then repeated it even louder when my mom didn’t respond because she was at a loss for words. I couldn’t hear my mother and I know she would never raise her voice so I walked back and told them to skip the product because of how rude the other cashier was. She did this in front of other customers and it was a busy day. Maple Grove if you ever read this you never know why someone is buying something in your store...it is for a loved one that is dying. Yes, you would have never known that but you never know so unless someone is treating you poorly or are in harms way I suggest you check your tone and treat people with respect. Instead of embarrassing a customer, investigate what they are talking about. If I was wrong I just wanted you to show me. We will never come back and I know telling our family to follow suit will not hurt your bottom line but let’s learn some customer service for future customers.

Lots to choose from in most departments, but counted cross stitch section is dwindling. Seems like theres always a wait to check out, but the cashiers are friendly and helpful, and tend to give me coupons if they have them and I dont. 💘

This one is pretty huge compared to other locations. Took a beginning sewing class here and it was a great experience. Pretty pricey but if you catch them on their sales or coupon days, its decent.

Took 6 days for them to get a pickup order ready. The actual pickup went fine, but would not have ordered if I knew it wasnt the 2-3 days they promised.

The black Friday sale prices were great. The only thing was the store got a little bit out of order because of the number of people shopping over the weekend. We waited for 2 hours in line to get our polar fleece cut to size and then at checkout they didnt have bags large enough to carry the materials we purchased.

I know we are in a diffrent way of life . Im in charge of an important project to help others in nee . However, this curb side pick up is a joke. I paid for an order on line. Waited 2 days for a reply. I was under the impression that I could pay for an order then pick it up. After 2 days I call and they tell me they are behind a week. Behind a week?! Why didnt they say that on the website. Now if you cancle you have to wait 4 days for the card to be released from this transaction. I called and of course apologies, but no real answer. I had to cancle my order, then the next day, I get a email. 1 item in my cart was cancled because of supply anyway . So I wasnt even going to get my entire order, that I paid for. It makes no sense. I got on Amazon and it will be here Thursday.

Hello,I was just in your maple grove MN Store looking for pink gingham fabric (which you had) when I asked an associate, her name was Rachel, she was very short and rude with me, she stated with an annoyed tone “I don’t know, they’d prob be were you are looking (standing next to pink fabrics) I don’t know fabrics off the top of my head!”I have never been talked to like that in your stores, they are usually very helpful, I am not sure if it was because I was Male, or ethnic but it made me feel very unwelcome.I did end up finding the pink fabric on my own, it was not in the right spot, but it would of taken her just a few minutes of her time to help me look.Also I just found out that Rachel is a manager at the maple grove store.

Talked extensively to the framing expert on staff. Extremely knowledgeable, even looks the artistic part with an adorable knit flower on her knit cap. She pointed out a flaw on my photo (of which I am forever grateful) it was made during processing. I got a new print that day. Unfortunately, I ran out of time to go back and finish up all my inquiries. This is where I am going, when all my ducks are in a row for pic framing!!

A large scale Joann. The staff can be knowledgeable. I dont like the app or text coupon model the chain uses. So they lost a star. On busy door buster days. Grab a number for the cutting table before you finish your fabric purchases or you can wait an hour or more. Black Friday door Busters often start Xmas Eve eve. Come that night and skip the crowd.

This place is always a danger zone for me!!! Why? Because it is easy to fund a million things you did not come in to buy. Ha ha great store friendly staff and always lots of deals.

My wife loves all their stores and the one in Maple Grove has a very nice staff and selection. Just dont forget your coupons as it can get a little expensive if go as often as my wife does throughout the year.

I usually love coming here for fabric but today was disappointed when I asked for 3 chuncks of the same color fleece, they can only cut it as one. I wanted (3) 3yards for 3 different blankets but to company policy that cant happen even though I have done it before at other locations of Joanns. So Ill have to find tools to help me measure the blanket out.Still a good store just that policy disappoints me.

It seems like Joanns is becoming more of a craft and seasonal home decor than a fabric store.The fabric department is messy and figuring out the actual price is confusing. Fabric quality is inconsistent especially with precut fat quarters.However, the ladies that work the cutting table are friendly, knowledgeable, and will tell you the actual price per yard if you ask.

Ive had excellent customer service experiences there. Everyones always been very nice and helpful. Theyre even kind to my toddler. We feel very welcome there. With the exception of wool roving, they have had every normal and odd craft and sewing thing I need. Yes, cutting tables can be slow, but thats true everywhere. Id rather they take the time to get it exactly right. Measure twice, cut once, right? :-)

Yikes - I came in looking for Rainbow fabric. I went through all the fabric and then asked for help as I could not find it. The fabric employee stated what they had was out there. I looked online and showed her it said it was in stock. Her and another employee looked and then never came back. Then I waited in line to pay for another fabric for 20 minutes. The cashier was having people look up discounts on their phone!! Totally maddening.

Always my favorite crafting and sewing store. Many good deals. Everything you need, and staff always helpful.

This store is often under-staffed and understocked. That said, the employees are kind and helpful and I find myself here once a week on average.Update 4/2021: Extremely pleased with the new in-store and curbside pickup service. My first experience with curbside last spring was terrible, but since then a new system was implemented and now orders are ready within a couple of hours and easy to pick up!

Was treated very well here. I was buying a Christmas present and didnt know much about anything in there. The lady helping me was Great!! She gave me tons of info on different items, and answered all of my questions. Not sure if I will be back, because I dont use anything they have. But I see why people go

Good pricing HORRIBLE wait lines for them to measure fabric. What a joke. These old ladies cut about 1/4 inch in 3 minutes. Hire some people with an agenda to not make the line 45 minutes long. Will never come back
