Great selection of books, magazines, and audio. Vinyls and CDs can be found here as well as cozy books to preview some books. Friendly staff throughout the store to keep you find your way, although everything is also well labeled and organized. Great process on his, and would recommend to friends and family!

I have been to many half price books. This one has been the best the customer service was great and they really cared and helped. Not like the store in Mesquite or Cedar Hill. I would go out of my way to have service like this, thank you.

Good for shopping but HORRIBLE for selling your books. This Half Price Books pays a miniscule amount for popular, hardcover books. I did better selling 4 hardcover Diary of A Wimpy Kid books at the Cedar Hill location, and better selling one Texas Teachers Math Test Prep Manual at the Dallas Preston location than I did selling three dozen books at this location. I wish I wasnt so tired and carried all those books out of there after waiting around for the analysis. I should have donated them to Goodwill or driven them across town for a better price. Average price less than 50 cents a book. Lesson learned.

The storekeepers are wonderful and then store is always tidy and clean.I would give more than 4 stars but, the only thing the central planners of this franchise have changed at the locations is the price. Half price no longer describes this retailer and where once you could find a selection of odd treasures at great prices now, something much more predictable. Still love the place though.

My favorite times spent are visiting used bookstores, searching for what might be the rare find. I really enjoyed this store and its friendly staff. Although the Mansfield location is one of the smaller book stores in this brand, I always enjoy my visits to this location. I’m usually able to find something interesting to read. They have a good Business section. The employees are nice and friendly, too.

Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Four stars instead of five due to not having free store to store shipping. Theres a few books that I want but are too far from my location and have to pay individual shipping for each one. Would buy the books if I could get them shipped to my location and not have to pay shipping. By my location I mean the one closest to where I live.

I love having a Half Price Books in town. The employees are always so friendly & helpful. If they dont have something you want, theyll let you know what location does &/or offer to order it for you. Theyre happy to put something on hold for you as well, which is convenient for running in & out.

Love the store! The employees are wonderful! They answered all our questions and helped us look for some books online. I love all the great books and its always exciting to hunt for interesting new items. We found some missing dvds for our collection and my son even find a game hed been looking for. Stopped in for some books to give as gifts. I can say the staff is very friendly and helpful. They didnt have a very big selection on the topic of tennis nor did they have a biography section but all in all my quest was successful. Definitely will stop in again!

What a joke... let me start by saying this poor review has nothing to do with the ridiculously low price they gave for my books. The staff was rude and unhelpful at best. They told me it would take 20 - 30 minutes for them to make me an offer. It took 2.5 hours. The staff was wandering around talking with the other staff member, playing with their hair, and sitting at the front chit chatting. I would never go back to this store for anything again.

My favorite place to go for GREAT stuff.Its like a treasure hunt and theres always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. From books, games, puzzles you name it they have it there. I like shopping here u can always find just that one little hidden treasure that youve been looking for. I recommend you go to this place as often as possible you wont be disappointed.👍👍👍

So I was asked to officiate a wedding. It was my first time, so I needed a bible as a prop. It was two hours before the wedding and I was in a hurry. I stopped into this half priced books to pick one up. Staff was helpful when I told them my situation. Nice selection, with some well worn ones, which is what I wanted. Got it half price, but then they gave me half price on top of that, so it was really quarter price!! Since I wasnt going to take it on my flight home, I gave it to the bride so it could have a forever home, and now its in the hands of someone who will cherish it forever.Bonus that the price stickers they use at half price books comes off easily, so props to them for not making it hard to get that sticker off before the wedding.

Amazing selection of books and games and miscellaneous items. Excellent prices of course! I absolutely love the store! I just wish they would build one in Abilene Texas! I definitely would recommend the store for anyone looking for a good price on books.

They have a good selection of books that are in good shape. Their prices are fair, but could stand to be lower. They have a great childrens area, where they even occasionally offer crafts and story time. They also offer homeschool curriculum and board games at good prices. Its a fun store to look around in when you have free time.

I go to Half Price Books with my wife, I am not much of a reader. I do enjoy their used album selection. Took home an old Blue Oyster Cult piece of vinyl.

Refused to serve me 2 minutes past closing time. It’s told, “You tea need to check out. We are closed and we HAVE to go home.” 2 minutes, and I was about to spend almost $100z WOW. Won’t be back if this is how customers are treated when I was just waiting on my spouse to pick my up. 2 DAMN MINUTES...and 2 different “employees” made it a point to essentially tell me not to spend my money and pay their checks. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service....more like customer hostility.

Great customer service and great selections! I shop here frequently. Recently, I was missing one book in an old series. When my HPB didnt have it, they looked to see if another HPB store did. And they found one! My store had it sent to them, and they called me when it arrived. Like I said, great service...and always with a smile and a friendly manner, which I really appreciate.

We go to this location frequently. The staff are always helpful. Everything is arranged easily. The store is not too cramped so you can get through and find things around others. I keep a wide variety.

Great selection, lots of good DVD and Blu-ray in the clearance section ( 2 or 3 bucks ). Also lots of good music, blues and jazz and classic rock in CD and a good vinyl selection. I have been in there may be 50 times and staff has always been knowledgeable and very helpful.

I cant say enough about this store or this chain. The one critique is that everything I love about them as a book purchaser (low cost and high quality, especially) makes them less desirable if I am a bookseller. Overall, their stock is singular -- sometimes hubby and I go to more than one Half-Price in a weekend just to see whats different.

Always nice and helpful staff. Dont expect to get a large amount for your books records or CDs. But if youre just needing to get rid of things its a good place. Im always surprised at what I can find there. We always check there before buying new at Barnes & Noble.

The people here are so Friendly! I could stay there for hours! Not like that other big book store that I usually run out of as quickly as possible! This particular location is warm and inviting! No pressure and easy to maneuver!

I can always find something to read here, either a new book by a favorite author, a copy of an old favorite, or a cool gift for a special person, and the prices are always good.
