I cant even express how much I love this place!! Impressive gardens and an even more impressive mansion. One of the most impressive mansions Ive seen in person. I was a tad disappointed that the mansion was closed because they were decorating for the holidays. We still had a great time exploring the massive grounds and admiring the outside of the mansion.

The most beautiful gardens and ground. Loved visiting here. The house tour was wonderful despite not being able to see the 3rd floor. The price was reasonable and well worth the time to visit. Highly recommend any one interested in history and gardening to put this on your to do list.

Pack a picnic and stroll these amazing grounds. In the heart of Mansfield and yet unhindered by the noise of city traffic. This peaceful setting is well worth the mere $5 admittance fee. We will be bringing all our Alaskan friends and out of town guests to visit.

I love Kingwood center! We are members so frequently visit and wander the gardens and nature trails. The peacocks are always fun to see and hear in the gardens too. Beautiful gardens and mansion. So many nice places to sit and enjoy a picnic throughout the grounds also.

Very small. Flower varieties are not very particular. But entrance ticket is very low $5 per person, free with $40 annual membership. Gift shop is fair priced for some unique items. Cafeteria food definitely requires a chef. There are supposedly 4 peacocks 🦚. Encountered 2 today, that’s plus!

Lovely grounds and greenhouses! We missed the home tour, so I cant comment. We had a great time walking around and going through the greenhouses. I was walking toward the fountain when 5 ducks came scrambling out of the water towards me. They came right up to me! So cute! There is a gift shop and a place to buy plants too!

Always a great time here, never disappointed in the scenery.

A wonderful place to stroll through. Beautiful flowers, trees, shrubs which are identified with small markers. Not a huge place, which makes it easier to enjoy. Friendly, hardworking staff. And a pretty greeter at the visitor center.

My husband is from Mansfield and I visited here with my mother in law. I have been here a couple of times over the years and I feel like I am at the age where I was really able to appreciate everything they have. They built a new building with a cafe, gift shop and a garden shop. There were items that were reasonably priced and my mother in law got me the most adorable air plant in the most darling pot. They were so reasonably priced and we were delighted. We had a sandwich and I bought some lettuce starters. We will be back soon with all our children. I think they are old enough to appreciate this place. What a treasure.

Loved going there with my family. It changes so much each week that there is always something to see. One week the tulips were everywhere. The next the were only in some areas. Still very beautiful and will continue to visit the gardens.

Our daughter asked how much it would cost to live there. Its magical, a wonderful gift and a place we could stay for hours and come back to again and again. While we could never live there, its great knowing we can visit whenever we want.

A hidden jewel, nestled in the heart of Mansfield Ohio. Beautiful and peaceful. You could spend a solid half day easy.

The 2021 Pumpkin Glow was amazing! So many beautiful pumpkins and displays! Highly recommend going! The garden throughout the year has amazing floral and greenery displays and fun educational programs for kids. So relaxing to stroll along the paths or sit beside one of the fountains or pond. Finding baby frogs is a favorite activity in the spring. Mansfield is lucky to have this gem!

The family went to Kingwood in early spring. There was so much to see that my girls have asked to come again later in the year to see even more in bloom.It was a very relaxing self guided tour. If you like history, flowers and architecture it is well worth a visit.

We had a great time. Very nice surprise. We always go to the Franklin conservatory and I can say this is comparable experience when it comes to plants. We really enjoyed it.

I have been coming to Kingwood Gardens for many years now and it never gets old.Its hard telling how many times Ive walked through the gardens, or toured the mansion, but Im equally impressed each time. Every visit youll find something new, a new flower or plant, a new wildlife encounter, a spot tucked away you may have missed on a previous venture.The peace and tranquility found in such a hidden spot tucked right in the center of Mansfield is a local gem, providing a wonderful spot to relax and recharge.It is $5 a carload, and easily worth the small fee to spend a few hours at peace with nature.A place to tour with families, children, friends, dates, or just a place to tour in silence alone.Its not incredibly large, but, if youre truly taking your time and enjoying all it has to offer a few hours isnt completely out of the question.Gorgeous at all times of the year, but, my recommendations are peak blooming times for the flowers in Spring and Summer.

An absolutely beautiful botanical garden in the heart of Mansfield. Wonderful year round with their annual Pumpkin Glow in the fall and Christmas at Kingwood in the winter. Classes and more events are easily found in their website and their welcome center is very helpful as well. If you need a place to sit down, take a moment, and just appreciate whats around you, or if you want a breathtaking venue for a wedding or event, this is the perfect place. Small admission cost, and the membership pays for itself in spades.

Beautiful! All the new renovations are beautiful and elegant. They have a new gift shop and Cafe. The employee were most helpful and Super friendly and Polite! We will make this a regular weekend spot!

Just visited their Pumpkin Glow Event which was amazing. Overall, we, as a family, really enjoy Kingwood Gardens and their events, especially around different holidays. Just wish, more like last year, they would have addes more events this year, also for all age groups (e.g. older children or teens). Very clean though and the changes to the Gardens made over the last year are well worth it and make the place more attractive for guests. Memberships are affordable as well and the Gardens are beautiful during all times of the year.

First time going to gardens . When I walked out back I was blown away at first sight . This is a huge area with different types of gardens . This is a all day place . Probably more a adult thing or older children. Looks like a great date day ideal

Stunning place brimming with life and wonder. The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable and the animals and vibrant flora are very well-kept. The Ohio Brass King Mansion is also a sight to behold both on the exterior and interior. Please dont pass this place up.

Kingwood has grown since my last visit! The Cafe was so fun! Delicious hot lunch, topped off with offerings of Whits frozen yogurt!

Beautiful gardens here. You will always discover new things at different times of the year. I love the annual jackolantern event. I visited the Christmas event 2020 which didn’t take much time to walk through but was pretty. There are ducks and peacocks near the pond.

Gorgeous gardens, smaller than Franklin Park Conservatory, but also way cheaper admission (only $5!) and the employees there are friendly and wonderful. The terraced gardens are my favorite, with eye-catching statues and architectural accents that are well-integrated into the geography there. Plus beautiful, lush lawns for picnics and just lying on the grass relaxing. Would visit again for sure!

We had lunch. All food was delicious...fresh. and flavorful. Preparation of server, single handed, was prompt and very courteous and attentive to details though only person to make and serve. Very satisfied and will visit there often..thank you.

The new Visitors Center with Gift Shop, Cafe and greenhouse is outstanding! Wonderful addition to a beautiful place. So nice to see the early Spring flowers, the ducks, and the beautiful male peacocks who were peeking in at the glass doors.

Absolutely beautiful gardens and greenhouses!!!! I drove an 1hr 1/2 to visit. The gardens did not disappoint. My children loved feeding the ducks at the duck pond and seeing the peacocks on the grounds. I would highly recommend and I already cant wait to go back!

Recently traveled to Ohio for Inkcarceration and had a spare day to play tourist. Kingwood Garden Center was STUNNING, we spent the better part of an afternoon wandering the gardens. We even toured the mansion. Would definitely recommend a visit! The staff were super friendly and informative.

Beautiful gardens and event hall. The wedding we went to was gorgeous and with amazing service. The mansion self guided tour was pretty interesting as well.

Gardens are amazing and very well kept. We enjoyed everything and the peacocks were a visual treat at the end. We got there after the house closed for the day but we enjoyed seeing that the first time we came down.

It is a beautiful location for a wedding. The outdoor ceremony was only marred by intermittent rain. If you book this location make sure that the temperature of the reception room is not too cold.Ensure that the food is served warm and is properly seasoned. Perform a taste test on the food before engaging this location.

This is a wonderful place for date night, family night or a girls day! Wonderful staff and they have outstanding food at the gateway cafe.

There is a $5 admission to walk the grounds...problem is that you have to walk in the prententious building before knowing this, so it became immediately awkward. We were just trying to kill time due to us being from out-of-town. The lady told us we could enter the gift shop, but that was where our experience stopped. I bought a magnet so i never forgot to never go back.

The things they are doing here are great! Keep up the good work! They always have something special going on and are adding new buildings and things to do. Such a beautiful place to visit!

On the one hand, Im really glad a place like Mansfield has a place like Kingwood. On the other hand, Kingwood is way too good for Mansfield.Some of my best memories were made at Kingwood, and a revisit as an adult didnt disspoint. The new visitor center is great, the gardens are excellent as always, and the mansion is a fun diversion.

Such a hidden gem! Went during their Christmas lights and tree walk. It was more then I anticipated. Being able to go through the greenhouse and the home as well was amazing.

Unbelieveably gorgeous and serene. Rivals many other public gardens we have been to around the country and abroad. The absolutely free concert series is amazing...a great place for kids, with lots of inexpensive or free programs. The big bugs are fantastic and surreal, we greatly appreciate the local businesses who sponsored them, as well as the patrons, members and volunteers who create such beauty. We are looking forward to the planned future improvements and many more pleasant memories.

What lovely gardens and facilities. This was my first time and I will return to see more. I love their free concerts in the summer.

Lovely relaxing place. Pleasant little cafe with bottled beer and some food. Cookie was excellent. The tulips are always spectacular. Good gift shop. Would be great for a party, wedding or meeting.

A gorgeous place hidden in Mansfield Ohio. There is a $5.00 fee per car, more for Rv or larger vehicle. You can spend hours exploring the grounds and all the gorgeous flowers. The peacocks walk freely around you. You can feed the ducks by the pond. Love it here!

Kingwood gardens are beautiful. This is a great place to visit and just walk around. Be sure to see the peacocks. There are many ducks at the pond. The flowers were beautiful.

Absolutely breathtaking and beautiful! And for once, there is a reasonable admission price. Most things today are way overpriced.

Always nice to be there on a Sunday afternoon. We will come back in a few weeks when more flowers are at full bloom. Plan 3 hours for a visit.

Kingwood Center has been a style of beauty and awe all.mt life. The flowering esthetics are breath taking! While you meander through the perfectly manicured flower beds to the pond where many a fowl come to to show off their brilliant colors and songs! Its a perfect way to spend the whole day in Mansfield Ohio!

We love going here for the Great Pumpkin Glow. A few days before the event you can go to carve pumpkins for free. Then you come back for the event to find your pumpkins and see all of the great designs. They also have carriage rides, games and food. I think that it would be cool if they would do a slightly more formal food option rather than fair food. All in all a great event and a great location.

We spent all afternoon here yesterday. Loved being greeted by a beautiful peacock upon arrival! We toured the house and walked through every garden. We especially enjoyed seeing the daylilies cared for by Charles Applegate for so many years. Awesome place we took many pictures!

Ive visted KW several times in the past before the new visitor center. Visited for first time since the new center and although it is very nice, it took out my most favorite fountain spot in the entire estate. Somehow the visitor center is now the focus at the end of the Allee. It spoils what was once an incredible serene view from the Hall. Also, the flowers and arrangements were not near what Ive seen in the past. I dont know if the Covid lockdown had something to do with it or not. Maybe next year will be better. Its still a wondrous place, but unfortunately, like many things today, is now financially-focused and touristy. I will pine for the Kingwood of old. Not sure Mr. King would have agreed with decisions made in choice of location for the visitor center. Still a beautiful place, but lacking the glory of old.
