This place is great they set up a bike that was straight out of the box for my within a few hours. They also went the extra mile and adjusted a few things they didn’t see fit. Like the cables in the front of my bike. I’m absolutely coming back here if I need anything.

My husband takes our bikes here for all servicing and always compliments the service and timeliness of everything. They probably offer more than what I realize but definitely worth stopping in to check out.

Super duper friendly. I brought my old bike up here from nearly ten years ago. Definitely in dire need of a tune up.With the waitlist being so long, I wasnt sure they were going to be able to see me the day I brought my bike there. However, they did perform a few quick fixes: adjusted my seat, replaced and adjusted the bike chain and tightened the brakes.I was put on the list so that I can get a true tune up in the next few weeks.

Edit: I dropped my bike back off after the owner, Jeff, commented on my post. He said there was a mix up and one of the workers believed my bike to be fixed up since it looked fairly good when I took it in. So Jeff took it in himself and worked on it, got it back to me in a timely manner and I have to say he did a very good job. It looks great, new wires were installed and everything looks cleaned and lubed. Couldn’t be happier. I’m excited to ride it! Communication is key to me and Jeff communicated very well with me and I plan to create a relationship with them and go to them for advice when it comes to my bike. Mix ups happen I understand and I am glad we worked out the issue. I am leaving my original post below because I want to show that I wasn’t happy to begin with but the owner of the shop stepped up and communicated when it mattered. Thank you!I brought my TT bike in to be serviced because they had the best price for a major tune up, which includes a complete look over and cleaning of the bike and new cables. I felt comfortable with them and they sounded like they knew what they were doing and they said it would be about two weeks. It only took a little more than a week which was nice. When I picked it up it looked like they cleaned the gears well, but when I got home and rode it the next day it wouldnt shift into the biggest gear, so they did not change the cables because they do not look like they were changed and I got charged an extra $25 to get them switched AND... it isnt shifting properly so they clearly did not adjust the gears and shifting either. When I am in the lowest gear it rubs against my shifter, which should not be occurring, and in the highest gear it rubs also. I am saddened because they offer a competitive price, but do not actually do the work necessary to tune up the bike. I am out $130 and I have to fix it myself now. They will not be taking care of me or any of my friends that need a tune up or anything else. It is sad that people who do not know much about bikes are taken advantage of and do not get their moneys worth. I hope anyone that reads this does not take their business to Hilltop Bikes. Went there looking for hand brakes for my boys bicycle and a cable, left with both things plus a bugle bike horn. Dropped off my Santa Cruz bike on Monday for a lot of work. New rear cassette, chain and a dropper post. Jeff is getting it all installed and going to have it ready by Friday so I can ride this weekend. I keep coming back to this place for the excellent work and service they offer. Also prices are very competitive vs. online prices.

New to Mansfield area and dropped in to get my bike checked after a fall. Even though Jeff had appointments—he worked me in and was very professional and friendly. Prices are competitive as well. This is definitely my go-to bike shop now.

Fixed my bmx within a Hour i defiantly going again if i have anymore issues with my bike.

Originally, I planned to buy some headset spacers for my bike so I could adjust the height of the handlebars, but was advised that headset spacers would not achieve the desired purpose, and that a stem riser would better fit my needs. I deal with severe back pain everyday due to spondylolisthesis in my lumbar spine, and multiple slipped disks in my cervical spine, and need to be extra careful when cycling; so, anything I can do to put less stress on my spine is greatly appreciated.Im also very thankful that they offered to work within my budget since I was hoping that my ~$24 budget would be able to get me by. With my original plan being to buy headset spacers - and the fact that my cocktail of other health conditions have kept my unemployed for the past three years - the fact that they offered to adjust the $30 price tag to fit my needs means a lot to me. They didnt have to go that far for a complete stranger, and I wouldnt have thought any worse of them if they hadnt. If Im able to afford it in the future, I plan to go back with a higher budget.

I just met them this week but already feel like we will have a good working relationship. I felt welcomed, they actively listened to me rant about my story and reasons for requesting things on my build. They talked with me and answered all my questions. Im a big guy on my way down after bariatric surgery and they have made me feel comfortable with my choices in parts to add to my bike. I will be back without a doubt Im so glad I found this awesome little bike shop!

Jeff and EVERY staff member was amazing. From the first day I walked in just browsing to my most recent visit of today, and after all said and done, purchased 4 bikes from Jeff. Not only did he take care of me he made sure my boys fit right on their bikes and their helmets were comfortable on their heads.. I will never go anywhere else for bike or bike support. Called in to ask if they could do a fork service and they said yes, that it typically took 5 days. I asked if I could make an appointment and she said they dont do appointments. So I drove up there and dropped my bike off. Then they call me and tell me they dont do fork service. So I wasted 2 hours of driving because they all seem clueless.

I like to do business with local brick and mortar stores. So, searching for a bike for my husband’s birthday during the COVID-19 isn’t an easy task. Called hilltop in search of a bike and they were super helpful on the phone even texting me photos of the bike available. When I arrived I was nicely greeted and taken care of instantly, in fact they even put the accessories I purchased on the bike while I waited. Called them up to fix. A broken gear box. I brought it right in and he replaced the entire shifter, tightened my brakes and checked my tires pressure. I was out in under 30 minutes and very well priced. Awesome service very personable and extremely fast work. I will be coming back for all my mining needs. (Mongoose Malus, during the Quarantine!!!)

It was Labor Day morning with zero wind, and I got my bike out for a ride. Lo and behold, my tire was flat. I called around to several different bike shops to see if anyone was open, but no one answered. A few minutes later, I got a call from Jeff at Hilltop Bicycle Center. The shop was officially closed, but he offered to change my tube on his day off! I took my bike in and he changed the tube in 5 minutes. Super nice guy and great service! I highly recommend Hilltop Bicycle Center!

Hilltop knows what customer service is all about. I dropped of my bike for a few upgrades on Tuesday and needed it by Friday as I was going out of town on Saturda . I didnt have the right driver for the new cassette and instead of calling me about the problem Jeff put his personal bikes rear tire on my bike so i can have a bike for the week. This was above and beyond anything I expected and have ever received from a bike shop. Hilltop know and understand customer first. Thanks Jeff and appreciate it.

I ordered an bike from the uk, when it came in my Vitus Sentier hardtail needed some basic tuning.so I called around to an few bike shops everyone seemed to be backed up at least 1to 3weeks for maintenance. well I ran across Hilltop bicycle center called them on an Thursday they said they could be finished by the weekend.so I headed down to the shop! checked my bike in with Susan whos was very nice an then talked to Jeff who turned out to be the owner, explained my issues with him then he said my bike would be done the next day which made me happy cool. so I decided to look around and was assisted by Susan we talked about an few things I would or may need for trail riding and also gave helpful advise on where to ride here in the Dallas area Jeff as well, then asked me where I lived I told him the Desoto,tx he then told me since I had came that far he would work on your bike immediately I was wowed and so thankful for their kindness. I was amazed and in an out less then maybe 45 mins and my bike rides excellent!! thank you guys for you perfect service my bike has differently found an home for when it needs future servicethanks again for everything blessings.

I was hesitant to give this review to what seems to be a well reviewed and reputable local business as my experience does not seem to be the norm. I dropped off my bike for a $79 tune up. I didnt inspect the bike on pick up but after bringing it home it didnt appear anyhing had been done. I brought the bike to my dad who is mechanic to look at and he advised: every pivot point on the bike was dry and dirty with the only part on the bike showing signs of lubrication being the chain but noted it hadnt been cleaned prior to. The break lines were both loose and unajusted as well as bolts that secure levers being loose. He showed me there were literally cobb webs and filth in areas thay should have been cleaned and lubed.I understand the shop is unusually busy but this is no excuse for my bike to have slipped through the cracks.

I have been to these guys a couple of times. They used to be right next to my work before they moved, but the extra distance is worth it. I have always been treated fairly and they fitted my bike (after I had it fitted elsewhere with no major improvement in my ride). Now I can ride over 75 miles with no hot spots or pain. They also tuned up the bike and got me taken care of quickly in preparation for a ride the next day. I highly recommend Hilltop Bicycle Center.

Stopped in here randomly today and had fantastic customer service. They talked to us at length about our bike interests and desires and guided us to some models and configurations that would best suit our needs as a family. We also discussed various rack configurations for our vehicles and they generously share information about all the local biking trails. Their knowledge was deep and they were kind in sharing at length. We will definitely be returning when were ready to purchase our new bikes.

Shout out to Hilltop Bike Shop. My dad is visiting from out of town and loves to bike. I had called ahead to ask about renting a bike. Jeff was so helpful and prompt. When my Dad got into town he rented an amazing bike and cant say enough about Hilltop. If you love biking or have any biking needs go check them out!!

I wanted to get my 10 year old a quality big boy bike but I like to shop local, especially during the covid-19 am situation. I actually called on Michelle’s first day of work and she helped me and was so professional I couldn’t even tell it was her day one. I called back the next day to place my order but I wasn’t able to pick it up so Michelle helped me set up delivery! Heather then talked to me to get my info and payment and Susan made the actual delivery. At each step I was given specific details about the bike and Susan let me know when she was on her way and when she dropped off my bike (they offered contactless delivery due to covid). I have 2 other sons that will need bikes in the future and I most definitely will choose Hilltop AND when I need my first adult cycle, they’ll have my business. Honestly I called back day two because of Michelle and her professionalism and calm demeanor. Thank you all. This is my honest review.

Best hometown bike shop.

I called about some information for my pneumatic tires on my wheelchair. They were extremely helpful and put heavy duty tubes in my tires so that I wont get stuck out somewhere with a flat. They also came out to my car to get them and brought them back to my car when they finished. This kindness was all due to me asking about handicapped parking close to their store. Truly impressed!! :)

We are so glad we took our bikes to Hilltop for repairs. With not very many repair shops nearby, other places seem to treat you like you are privileged to be in their shop. At Hilltop, the Owner Jeff is personally at your service and treats you like his highest priority. He fixed our bikes on the spot in about 30 minutes on a Saturday. We had a great experience and Will be back for any and all bike repairs we need in the future.

Prices are fair and work is well done as far as I can tell (Im no bicycle expert). However, Ive been here 3 times and every time right about 15-20 minutes after I paid, I got a scam call on my mobile phone. I dont know what kind of Point-of-Sale system they are using, but I think it is either being hacked or its an online system provided by a disreputable service provider. I never get these kinds of calls, so its too much to be a coincidence. I wonder if them marking an invoice as paid or closing out a ticket triggers it. Anyway, recommended service but dont give them your phone number.

I have had Hilltop repair wheels, perform tune ups, replace the major components on my bikes. I became accustomed to doing my own maintenance as I have lived in areas devoid of quality bikes shops. My experience with Hilltop has changed my outlook such that I may have to retire my tools. Service is performed quickly, professionally at a very reasonable price. I wish all businesses were run this well.

I was not disappointed and do not regret driving the extra distance from my home. Recommend it to anyone looking for a good bicycle shop and will be back for service in the future.

Jeff at Hilltop is the only person I will let touch my bicycles. I have some high-end bicycles that require the masters touch and Jeff is the master. Both he and his shop are as honest as the day is long. They do not invent charges and some minor adjustments they do at no charge. We are lucky to have this shop in the DFW area.

Very high quality repairs and friendly professional customer service. I brought my late 1980s Japanese road bike in for repairs, they installed a new rear derailleur and chain. It now shifts crisply and rides along silently. I will definitely be back with a few of my other bikes that need repaired.

My parents had planned on going here on Saturday of Labor Day weekend to get my son a bike for his birthday. But we had a family emergency and could not go Saturday. We called the shop and they offered to open for us on Sunday so we could get one. On a holiday weekend!!! My son couldn’t be happier with his bike. I was riding my road bike in a new neighborhood under construction, South Pointe in Mansfield and hit a muddy section of road. Of course my front tire locked up. As I was cleaning mud off Jeff Delavega, owner, stopped his truck and asked if I needed assistance with my bike. He was returning to his shop after making a delivery. This gesture illustrates his willingness to service bikers in Mansfield. I will always entrust my bike needs at Hilltop Bicycles.

Excellent knowledgeable, and friendly staff. I brought in a 29er with bent wheels and seized disk brakes. they swapped the brakes over to my new wheels and even managed to get the stripped bolts off of the new wheels. Excellent repair shop with a pretty good new stock inventory as well. I highly recommend!

My absolute favorite LBS and Im not even a local! Jeff does AMAZING work! Took my bike after it was messed up by another shop and he sorted it out like a true Pro. This is the only shop I trust taking my bikes to. I come here for all cycling equipment. Service is unparamount! Bought cycling shoes for the first time. Got to learn in shop mounted on my bicycle & a trainer. I learned safely and was taught the correct and safe way to clip in and out! So glad I didnt order online because the in-store learning was crucial to my success in transitioning to cycling shoes and pedals.

My wife and her bike fell over while she was dimounting to take a break. The rear wheel needed to be trued up because her foot got cought in between the frame and wheel. Gave them a call and he said it would only take about 15 minutes and he could get to it today. It was trued up perfectly. My wife was very happy that it was done and we was able to continue our ride for the day. I will definitely be going back for any other service that is needed.

Jeff was great. We had an odd request as it didn’t have to do with a bicycle but a jogger stroller but he was super helpful with our tire dilemma and I would recommend his store because quality service is worth it!

Yesterday i had busted my front wheel and came in late luckily they were still open. I was very lucky that the owner hooked me up with a great new Mavic front wheel. Every time i have been here the service has been amazing staff and owner are very knowledgable and helpful. Hands down the best bicycle mechanics in North Texas! No other shop takes better care of my bike.

Thanks Jeff for an excellent Tune-up on Cervelo prior to Duathlon Nationals last weekend. Due to your great work I biked better than ever, coming in 2nd in my age group. Your eye for detail, and ‘special sauce’ did the trick.

All said on other reviews is true. Jeff is a business man that really takes care of his customers. Had a great experience when approaching him with my old mountain bike transformation for my first triathlon. Besides taken care of my bike, he gave me a few valuable advises and ended up giving me a contact for a coach.

Great place for service. Didnt get charged for what I didnt need to get done, and had my bike back in 10 minutes instead of three days.

Tire blew out on my way to the gym. Had two choices walk home 5 miles feeling sorry for myself for being a fat ass on a bike or walk 2 miles to the nearby shop. I chose the latter, replaced my inner tube and tuned the rear shifter for 27 bucks and now Im riding 15 miles today. He also tuned my rear brake pads and tightened my kick stand for me. Looks to be a family run shop and the 2 I dealt with were very hospitibal considering Im soaked in a couple liters of my own water weight. Will definitely come back to have my front shifter tuned when I have more money (Im a broke student).I also want to note that while he may sell bicycles in store he is not an elitest. I had to repair the same bike at another location a couple of years ago and the guy basically harassed me about my generic Walmart bike. Jeff just asked what I needed and 15 minutes later it was done. I have enough issues on my plate and feeling inadequate about my bike that I use to get around doesnt need to be one of them.

I just wanted to apologize my bike had a flat tire and it was really hard for me to get to the shop 😣 I was out of breath I have COPD my lungs dont work right and when I put on the mask before entering the shop I was very disoriented and kinda in a panic I think I may have alarmed one of the employees Im sorry for that but yall got my bike all fixed up at the end of the day sorry for scaring people

I have been meaning to write a review since my 1st visit, but kept forgetting....I would like to say that Im so glad that I found this repair shop. You not only can receive repairs that are quick and their honest, but can also purchase bikes along with other items (too many to list). Needless to say; they have a customer for life and I will always refer others their (referred my friend who got hers repaired); and not just for repairs but for purchases as well. So if youre in the market for a bike, accessories (they have ALL) or just repairs....this is the place to go.Oh....did I mention that they have layaway for bikes; for those that may need it. An added bonus for those birthdays even those that shop around the holidays. I also purchased my daughters bike from there at wayyyyy less than the price Id been finding, they just so happened to have the exact bike shed been wanting for school on SALE. And last but not least....my son had a flat ran over something and they replaced the tire for free since I had not too long purchased it (the tire).

I am not sure the reviews that posted in here are true customer or fakes. I dropped my bike in for service and that took 5 days to finish just for the basic tune up. And apparently they didnt do a thing to my bike then charge $7x.xx, included taxes. I am a mechanic for 30 years therefore I can tell either the bike can be done something to it or not. This place is a fool and I am not sure how the people gave 5 stars rating for it. This is the first and also the last time I bring my bike to this place for any services.
