The manager mark basically lied to me and my wife’s face, telling us that there was no way to process an early upgrade in our devices, even though we were both 50% paid off, and eligible to trade up and return our devices. I showed him the eligibility on the my Verizon app, he backpedalled and admitted that it was an option, but refused to help us do it in store, basically told us to figure it out ourselves online. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE/PROFESSIONALISM. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME, DON’T COME HERE - THE VERIZON CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS OVER THE PHONE DID EVERYTHING I ASKED IN A FRACTION OF THE TIME AND WERE COURTEOUS!

Do not go here, manager Mark told us he was going to check on us and went on break! My husband and I went in yesterday to upgrade our phones. The staff and the manager of the store encouraged us to upgrade online. We went home and ordered our phones and it was saying pending. Came back to the store the next day to get some help. The manager was helping us at first then went to check on our problem and walked out of the store. He went on break to get food came back and completely ignored us.

Sadly the Verizon Store is borderline useless unless youre a new customer buy new phones, went there for a fairly simple account task that should have been quick for them to complete with a couple clicks on the computer, but instead was told we had to call an 800 number, which they did provide but was connected to the wrong department or something and bounced around until finally getting a representative that was very nice and took care of our issues quickly, disappointed the store was unwilling to help and didnt even have the proper number listed for the assistance requested.

Terrible customer service. My wife’s phone screen (3 months old) went black. Took it in to do a warranty exchange. It took 7 days to get a replacement. I sent the old phone back. Verizon kept texting me that the “find my iPhone” feature was on - how can I turn it off if the screen doesn’t work? Went back to store. They helped me do it on a computer. Weeks later Verizon is texting me that find my iPhone is still on and I will be charged a fee. I went in today 7/12/21 and calmly explained the situation. The lady who checks people in was very rude. She cut me off, told me that I am not listening to her, there is nothing they can do and to go call customer service. I was surprised because I had received good customer service up to this point and I had not so much as raised my voice. I spent almost an hour waiting on hold. She could have helped me avoid that wait time but chose not to. I feel stupid because we left T-Mobile for Verizon, and I’m paying more money now for worse service.

Was comparing phones as we are in need of 12 pro max upgrade. Anthony was rude, told me touching of their products was not permitted and no one is allowed in the store without a employee present with them. I saw no signs saying this and told Anthony but was ignored so i told him there was no help needed and left. This is where i have got my phones and services in the past but my family will never be back. Rob

Made multiple trips in the same week to facilitate a trade-in and exchange, and the staff (particularly Tim and Joe) were more than accommodating each time. Outdoor check-in was safe and efficient, and there was no time wasted in the shop. Couldnt have been a smoother experience.

Everyone Ive ever dealt with here has been super helpful! Very friendly. The customer service at this location has been the best of any Verizon store Ive used. Anthony and Gambino have definitely been my favorite people to work with. Easy to talk to, and very customer service oriented. My interactions with them have been nothing short of spectacular!

I traded my phone for an upgrade with Joe, no complaints there. With covid-19, theres a touching phones issue. I let them handle moving my info over cause I didnt know how to do it.Got home and realized I lost all my saved VZ pictures, and all my screenshots. Came in the next day and they said they had shipped my old phone off. Joe said he sent a message to the GM about possibly getting the phone back. Gave me false hope there was a chance I could get it back.Cause when I came in for a different reason and to check on that getting phone returned progress it was Tim the GM telling me that he never heard of this. So I asked Tim if Joe was just giving me false hope, Tim says no, and quickly disappears. I feel like this is just a job to them and onto the next person.This was going to be a 1 star or a 5 star review. I know it couldnt be that impossible to get a phone back. Its one thing if you try, its another thing if you werent planning on trying at all.

Came in to get an upgrade for my phone because I dropped my old phone and the screen cracked a little. I was eligible for an upgrade, so I figured why not get a new phone. Out of the three employees I interacted with over the course of two days, only one of them was polite, which I am very thankful for. He was very helpful and politely explained that it would be much cheaper to order online due to several promotions Verizon had at the time. The other two were very rude, acted like I shouldnt have been there, and had this tone of why are you even here. Im pretty sure this stores main function is selling phones and accessories, so why would it be wrong for me to go into the store to get a new phone that day instead of ordering one online and waiting three days for it to be delivered to me over the weekend? I get it that everyone is stressed out right now, but I was nothing but polite and understanding to these employees. I followed all of the stores rules, wore a mask and practiced social distancing. Theres no reason to have a condescending tone with a customer. Especially when I was being level headed and polite to them even while they were talking down to me like Im an idiot. Im only giving an extra star because of the one employee I talked to at the desk who told me about the deals online.

I personally would NOT shop at the Verizon corporate store in Mankato. Needs new sales manager and new sales staff. Long time Verizon customer (+20 yrs) and this store is the pit. 👎

A Verizon employee by the name of Joe was one of the most helpful people I have ever met. Having been 3 hours from home with no phone, no maps available at Walmart and quick trip, and no navigation system. I looked to my trusty Verizon store. Joe was able to help me call my parents, clear out my phone, strategize strategies to get home, as well as eventually set up my burner phone I bought at Walmart. He didnt care it wasnt a Verizon product he just cared about his customers well-being. 5/5 Joe, im beyond appreciative.

Showed up for scheduled appt time and was told they were not doing scheduled appts due to doing a phone launch.Excuse me!!!!I just drove over an hr and had to waste time to show up for an spot that was scheduled weeks ago! They work with you well there. The wait times kind of suck but Ive gotten good deals, especially around Christmas and New Years, and obviously the quality is top notch. Make sure like with all phone companies you ask about all fees before you purchase, I got hit with the a $50 fee for switching plans mid cycle once and they didnt warn me about that one b4 I switched plans.

I needed to get a new phone/phone plan but my situation was quite complicated. Allen went above and beyond to help me out, trying everything possible. He came up with every solution he could think of to solve my problem, and in the end he figured it out! Although the situation wasnt great, Allen made it a much better experience and in the end everything turned out all right. Definitely recommend this store, as they will do their best to make sure you have a good experience!

I am not sure if this is the river hills mall Verizon but that is the store I have this review for. Horrible customer service! My married daughter bought a phone and they were super nice then, of course, and she was told she had a given number of days to return it. When she called to return it she was treated horribly, she has been totally given the run around and no respect with it. We have been Verizon customers for a long time and never treated this poorly. I will never do business at the mall store again and I urge anyone that likes to be treated with respect to go elsewhere

If youre having phone problems, save yourself a trip and just Google it.Came in because I wasnt receiving text messages on a new phone, received wonderful advice like, somethings wrong with the phone, I might just not be able to use texts, and I should just contact customer support. Asked if they could just deactivate then reactivate the phone and was given a non-committal response about maybe trying a new SIM card before I gave up. Took me 10 minutes and a borrowed phone to fix it myself.I suppose on par with the level of support Ive come to expect from Verizon.

I worked with Haydar today, everything was pretty seamless, and he was very friendly. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is I was told a popsocket would work with the phone case I purchased, and it unfortunately doesnt. Im probably just gonna super glue it to the case, but I wish I didnt have to do that. Overall though, I am happy with my purchases.

Knowledgeable sales staff but felt like my salesman didnt listen to my simple needs for a cheap smart phone. Didnt tell me about discount on the phone and did seem to know about it after a brought up what a reseller told me. He did know every advantage of the more expensive phones. It felt like a heavy handed up-sell attempt. I ended up going back to the reseller to buy a phone and start a new line.

The general manager Austin and servicer Travis were amazing help. I showed up near to closing with a phone screen that was not working. I had to send in my phone and set up an in between system to get texts and calls until my new phone arrived. My situation caused everyone to stay 2 hours past closing in order to fix my problem. They need to rework there accounting department------cant believe a big outfit like them can not figure out how to delete a account that does not exist because the person is deceased. Situation --Brother died--has no assets. Notified Verizon--return his phone--waited 30 minutes for customer service to explain the situation---still was billed--called several more times (again waiting on phone 40 minutes 2 other times--said there was no way of stopping the billing cycle !!!! It was only courtesy on our part so they could at least cut there losses.They can now send the billing to hell freezes over---you cant help stupid . Wonder who in the hell is in charge !!!!

Posting on behalf of my parents who were not given great customer service. Any other Verizon store Ive been to they help transfer your old phone to your new phone. They refused to do so at this store. They would not try answering my parents questions. My husband was the one who eventually helped my mom figure out how to get her phone items transferred. I was misgiven price information and in the process of trying to fix it, all the men I spoke to were extremely rude. I had to call corporate and she requested to speak with one of them in the store and they flatly refused. I would never do business at this store again. They were rude to me and not ashamed to start speaking loudly and creating a scene when all I wanted was some help. Allen gave me the incorrect price plan. Another gentleman that I didnt catch his name was rude upon returning my extra devices. I had to enter the store a 3rd time and that is when Anthony refused to talk to the verizon rep on the phone and was rude. I live 1.5 hrs away and wanted to make sure this was fixed before I left town. Im sad this is how they treat people who want to give their business. I wish I had read reviews before I had gone there.

Traded in my daughters phone to upgrade. Paid cash to pay off the existing phone. Sent in the phone to Verizon with a trade in value of $160.00. They confirmed receipt of said phone on 10-20-18 but I have yet to receive 160.00 credit on our bill. We were told the rep at Mankato did the paperwork wrong. So now Im fighting to get my credit. Shouldnt even have to be dealing with this. We did our part correctly. Ughhh.... not happy.

Beautiful facility, really thought Verizon treated their customers well until my last experience. I was told one thing on the phone when I set up my account payment which turned out to be false when I asked in the store. I lost out on a couple months of a discount and I figured refunding me $25 wouldn’t be a huge deal when I asked since I have only used Verizon my whole life. Employee went on to basically call me a liar.

I went into the store to switch to a new phone that I had purchased online. I had verified with Verizon before going in to the store that I could activate this phone (since it was a basic phone). The employee at the store told me in a very condescending way that they would not activate it since it was a basic phone. I said Verizon had previously told me that I could activate it but he refused to do it and told me that they were not allowed to activate basic phones anymore. I knew he was lying to my face just so he could try to up-sell me to a smartphone. I went the next week to the Verizon store in Owatonna and they activated it without question. Dont do business at the Mankato Verizon store. Dishonest and unprofessional. Of course salespeople are going to try to up-sell you, but lying to your customers to be able to do that is completely unacceptable.

This store has horrible customer service. If you value your time, dont consider walking though the door, think DMV only worse! Making an appointment doesnt mean anything to these people either, they will still make you wait. During the visit they were constantly trying to up sell me stuff I didnt need or want. Over two visits they wasted around two hours of my time. I have bought cars quicker than that. If you want Verizon I would skip the store and get it all done online.

Place is garbage. 3 trips now and each time you have to beat the sales people off trying to sell you something. But this time they wouldnt send a phone back to Verizon for us and then we tried to cancel the insurance off one of our lines. They literally said sorry we cant. Two people tried and failed. So what I just keep paying it....? I will never return to this place. I dont even want to see it because of the awful experience I have.

My fiancé and I were helped tonight by Richard and he was terrible. He answered our few questions, but did not offer additional information. My fiancé, who just got his first smart phone (a little late to jump on the bandwagon), was left confused and unsure how to operate his device. Richard didn’t tell us how to set up automatic pay, how to even initiate payments, how to add other people to the account, etc. He simply handed my fiancé a card and told him to call a number. It was very apparent that his goal was to get us in and out of there as quickly as possible with zero regard for our own understanding. My fiancé asked him to put a screen protector on the phone and the guy put it on crooked. I would not recommend Richard for your customer needs if you head into the Verizon Wireless Store in Mankato, MN.

Staff are both sincerely friendly and extremely knowledgeable, which may help explain common concerns about wait times. Its well worth going when the store is less busy. (See Google Maps business listing, for this.)On my first visit -- an extremely busy Friday evening -- one salesfloor staffer seemed to make a rather bad mistake which I now see I was overly quick to attribute to base motives. (Dealing with cell service providers every day for a few weeks may well badly erode your faith in the goodness of humanity.) Upon attentively noticing that my friend and I both shared the same concern, multiple staff worked together expertly and practically bent over backwards to make it right.My initial concern proved happily unfounded; and I mention it at all only to illustrate that staff did the right thing under considerable pressure. Precious few retailers these days adhere even halfheartedly to the old maxim the customer is always right (even when, as in my case, I was most emphatically not). This store is an all too rare exception to the that unfortunate recent trend.My friend and I did wind up waiting for close to 50 minutes on that visit at a very busy time, but there was plenty to occupy ourselves with, between playing with live devices and comparing features, plans, and services in the spotlessly clean, easily wheelchair-navigable, well lit, and overall extremely beautiful showroom.We returned the following afternoon, when the store was much less busy, and waited a negligible amount of time. My friend had decided to research his options online and buy the phone over the phone for in-store pickup later the same day, thereby saving considerable money. The phone came in very quickly. Were picking it up, here and now, as I write this. We are both confident hes made a wise and well-reasoned decision.In a final graceful note, this is the only storefront cellphone retailer in town which was kind enough to let me use their spacious and pristine restroom (behind locked doors!), despite my not being the paying customer at the time of the transaction.Although Im locked in to another provider on a brand new phone at the moment, and therefore prefer not to switch, I very thoroughly enjoyed shopping at this store, and fully intend to return here in either a few months or years to explore my options. (Also importantly, customer service calls proved *not* to be the all-too-familiar, frustratingly circular wastes of time with this company: doublespeak appears to be unknown, here.)This good review is not given in haste; it is exceedingly well-earned. I will return.
