In all the styles of non-cotton Maverick hoodies I would gladly have bought, all they have are Extra-Small and Small sizes -- NO Medium, NO Large, NO Extra-Large, NO 2XL. Quite disappointing if you arent a tiny person.At least the people who checked us out were very friendly.

I go to school at MSU- Mankato and I refuse to give my business to this Barnes & Noble. Although most staff seems welcoming, I have had a few “minor” issues, that were actually expensive but easily resolvable, and every time I spoke to someone who had the qualifications to fix it, they were rude. They avoided getting back to me via call, emails, and even in person so I couldn’t receive the refund through my financial aid, but as a gift card instead and when I finally got in contact with someone the “manager” belittled me in front of other customers. I even spoke to one of the publishers that sell to Barnes and Noble and they confirmed that it was “an easy fix. This has happened at other bookstores and if Barnes and Noble will call/leave a message, they could easily resolve it”. This manager was younger and I don’t know if he is just on a power trip or what, but I will not be returning.

Terrible costumer service and ridiculous prices. Dont bring your business here.

Its one star because that is the lowest I can go. I was told by Derek Baker, the manager, that a 12 dollar refund on a book wasnt worth his time and walked away. Im a college student and he might think nothing of 12 dollars but I do. They had rude staff before this encounter and I tried not to use them but now I would walk across broken glass to not use them.

One of the cashiers named Oltor Knox the Great stole several precious gems from me. Otherwise, a pleasant experience with great selection in the drink cooler.

Everything about this place is abhorrent. Terrible service & prices, but the staff is the worst. Why this location is still in business is unclear.

The staff are friendly, and the store has a nice set up. Theres a lot of books, school merchandise, and school supplies to choose from. Although some stuff is pricey, its just a college thing.

Really so horrible. Don’t rent the books here. The staff was extremely rude. She was very rude to accuse me that I didn’t return the books although I was already standing there to make the return. She didn’t let me go. Really so rude. Never been so humiliated like that. Stay away from that store

I was literally scolded by the manager for having not picked up a textbook from the prior semester that they ordered for me and had not arrived on time. Ive never been so disrespected by a manager in all of my 38 years of life. Im without a doubt that shes going to know who I am if she reads this post ... and Im totally fine with that.

Bought a code for a class that I needed and the code didnt even work! Everyone in my class had the same problem and we had to go directly to WileyPlus to get the actual code that we needed in order to access the content. Not to mention this isnt the first issue Ive had here. The return and exchange process is a joke.

Extremely overpriced textbooks. Rent from Amazon or Chegg. Only use them to figure out what textbooks you will need for your classes. They do have good apparel though such as hockey jerseys and other gear. Go elsewhere for school supplies as well, only positive thing is convenience. They might carry something that is specifically required for a class, and you wont really be able to find it elsewhere.

If I could give zero stars I would. Staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. Not willing to help and have no shame to yell at people when they have issues with book rentals / returns. Overpriced books. Stay away from this place and save your money and nerves.

This place will rip you off. Rental return due date is deliberately set to be during the busy finals week. Because of the busiest finals week, even if you forget to return the book and is overdue by one day they will charge you 75% of new book price on top of the rental you spent already, plus processing fee, and force you to own the book you never wanted to.Quick example: Used book rental = $68.00, 75% of a new book =109.55 and 7.5% processing fee = 10.95.You end up paying $188.5 for returning one day late, because you were busy and studying hard for your finals. NEVER-NEVER-NEVER go to this place.Dont get fooled folks. Explore 100 times better deals on amazon and many other resources, where you can extend your rental for few days if you forgot or unable to return on the due date by paying couple of bucks. See the fine print on the agreement receipt, thats a time bomb!

They match the prices of the off campus bookstore and Amazon!!! The customer service is amazing and everyone is sooo helpful and friendly!! They have great deals and really high quality clothing! :) love this store!! Good name brands to boot

I would give zero stars if I could. They are inefficient, rude and not helpful whatsoever. Everything is so over priced. You’re much better off renting off amazon or chegg instead because you’ll save $100-200 every semester. Not impressed after three years of dealing with this store. I avoid it as much as possible since there’s much better options out there with better services and prices!

In theory they will match prices, but it is not any easy process and often wont. But, they donate some of their profits to MSU. Amazon has the three I need for... $220. The price in this store... $427 almost 2X the price! HIGHWAY ROBBERY! The lines are out the door come the start of the semester, absolute traffic jam (However, pre-order works to combat this).

The store itself is very nice, as it should be, considering everything is sooo ridiculously expensive. From the textbooks to the clothing, the snacks to the school supplies, this place is ridiculous. Please, please, please get your textbooks somewhere else if possible. The only thing this place has going for it is you are able to charge to your financial aid, unfortunately at the cost of severely overpaying.The student staff are nice but super unknowledgeable, as to be expected. They can help you find a book but nothing beyond that -- they clearly havent been told what they are really selling, particularly when it comes to getting online books set up or subscriptions to services. The older staff members are so rude and impatient and it takes an unenjoyable process and makes it even worse.If you want your books on time, this is absolutely not the place to get them from. You would think since they are located on campus, they can get a pretty accurate guess of how many books theyll be needing to have ordered and on hand, right? Wrong. Ive dealt with this bookstore for years and they always, always, ALWAYS keep me waiting for two, sometimes three weeks until I get my materials, obviously a problem for a college student. They are also somewhat disorganized when it comes to picking up orders, they often times cannot find my order. It shouldnt be so difficult.This place is ridiculous. I will not be purchasing anything from here in the future unless absolutely necessary.

Not impressed at all with how they treat you as a customer. Dont buy your books here ever. They will up charge you by at least $50-$150. Also if you dont need a book after you go to your classes and find out that you wont actually need it, you just wasted your money . return policy is incredibly stupid and you most likely will never see your money again and youll be stuck with paper that you wont use and need ever. Dont bother explaining your situation to a manger or anyone they will just go off the script and say we cant because its past the first 5 days of class which is the most unrealistic time frame to return books. Wish there was a 0 star on google....... Very unhappy. Only thing good about buying your books here is if you are lazy and dont look around at other places.

Bought earbuds that didnt work, they refused to return or even exchange them.

Most of their books are really overpriced compared to online book stores like amazon. If youre using your own money and not using the FAFSA book allowance (most students get $500 that they can use for books) shop for books online, you can save over 50 percent that way.

I wouldnt go here ever again, especially for book rentals. If you do happen to damage them youll get charged a full new book, the Bookstore off campus will make you pay difference.

Teller rang me up for a back ordered book TWICE. The other book that I was actually supposed to get still hasnt come in. Its been over 2 weeks. Disappointed with how unorganized theyve become.

The books are over priced and they tend to be monopolized as they lobby hard to deter any other book store to open near campus. Even the employees criticize the price of the store
