Called to schedule an inspection on my A/C that was no longer blowing cold air. When I received call they told me it was working when I had clearly told them it was blowing just not cold air. They couldnt find what was wrong with it and just kept telling me different each time. They were trying to charge over $2K to fix my A/C compared to another repair shop that was able to repair already and only charge $700. Not to mention the fact I had to leave for two days...

I can’t say enough good things about this company. I had my car towed to their shop because of the good reviews and they fulfilled them all and more. The cost of repairs was considerably less than I feared, since other shops I’ve been to have tried to gouge the prices for repairs. They kept it simple and affordable and kept me informed about the status of my car repairs. I’ll definitely go here in the future.

My only regret with working with these guys is not being there in person to shake their hands when they were finished. I had some transmission issues during a day trip to Mankato and got my car towed here. The same issues were recently addressed with my primary shop, but the part they replaced ended up being defective. The part was covered with a warranty from NAPA and Autotronics was able to replace it cost free. Not only was I able to communicate with them entirely through the phone, they communicated with my primary shop as well. They were extremely helpful and kind throughout the entire process and I cant recommend them enough.

They were very friendly and fast; they didnt do anything without my approval. The free use of a loaner car was also amazing.

I contacted Autotronics with a fault to my Instrument Cluster. They advised me to send the unit to them for repair. This I did, and they kept me informed throughout the repair process. Despatched it back to me via Carrier and I was up and running again after just 5 days. Ford main agent suggested I purchase a new Instrument Cluster for 10 times the cost of Autotronics repair cost. Also I did not require any software upload after the repair, so it was just a plug and Play repair. Brilliant Service.

They lie about services that need to be done and what services that have been done. Recently hadsome work done on my Chrysler Pacifica and the they didnt tell me my vehicle was totaled til I took it to another auto shop in town.

Very happy with the performance at the time I was receiving an approval of my vehicle to drive for lift. Even though they were short on staff and behind due to high volume in business they were kind straight forth in recommendation and willing to explain to me their perception of my vehicles review and suggestions were courteously made. The family business is very well run and should be beyond proud of their hard work.

Ive tried other mechanics in town but after coming to Autotronics, I will never take my car anywhere else. They do a thorough job and complete the repair correctly the first time. The staff are friendly and take the time to go over your vehicles issues and available options. The prices are exactly correct and match the value of service.

This is my favorite auto repair shop. I especially appreciate getting the free loaner car. We live over an hour away and it is wonderful to be able to get my errands done while they work on my vehicle!

They said I needed my transmission fluid changed. This was done less than 2,000 miles ago at the time. They also overfilled my air conditioning system by one pound when I had them recharge my air conditioning system. I might have just gotten the bad moments from them, but after all of this I dont trust them to work on any car that I own.

This is a great auto shop. The office staff is great and the mechanics are very skilled and work fast! Ive had a few sizeable repairs done here and always had my car back the same or next day. A friend said she brings her car there because they dont talk condescendingly when explaining a repair, and Ive always felt the same way.There is a shuttle service and loaner cars too (not sure about the shuttle during the pandemic).Solid shop! Its my first choice in Mankato when my car needs work.

Was down there today, noticed a car on the lot with windows down sun roof open, couldnt find find keys inside shop. weather forecast had lots of rain forcasted, called customer and told her about windows and sun roof, later on we stopped by sgp and they had car closed up. I was stranded in Mankato from out of town after my car died. AAA got me in touch with the folks at Autotronics, who were quick to diagnose the problem. Sadly they didnt have the part I needed but took it upon themselves to call around locally. They did everything they possibly could to help me out even though they were closing soon at the time. Their kindness and positivity was genuine and kept me from stressing out!

I brought in a vehicle with an intermittent issue and it took a week before it happened for them to be able to figure it out, but when it did they were able to quickly diagnose the issue and fix it. While they had my vehicle, they provided a complimentary loaner. That is a great perk. Jay is great to work with. Competitive pricing and quality work.

My family has been taking our 4 automobiles to Autotronics in Mankato for over 4 years. I will not take them anywhere else. They have loaner cars for you to take while your car is being repaired. There is no cost to use them, you just need to replace the gas you use. They recognize that your life doesnt stop just because you have a car to be repaired. From my own experience working in the automotive industry for over 10 years, I can tell you that they know what they are talking about. They have never tried to push me to have repairs that I didnt need.

I have worked with Autotronics twice over the last few years and they have been absolutely exceptional.I needed a battery jump early in the morning so I called up AAA and they sent Autotronics out to help. The technician arrived quickly and was very friendly and professional. He charged the battery and gave me some info regarding its health and recommend a new one. He wasnt pushy in the slightest and completely understood when I passed on purchasing a new one.Because of that positive experience when my other car needed a new battery I called AAA and specifically requested Autotronics. Not only did the technician arrive promptly again but he was the same guy as last time and remembered who I was over a year later. He had no problem getting it replaced right in the parking lot even though the local auto parts shop told me it would need to be taken to a shop to be replaced.I am very satisfied with Autotronics and would recommend them without a second thought.

Jason at Autotronics was great. My car quit working, and I dont know anything about cars, so I would communicate with Jason and relay the information to my father in a different town. Jason was happy to talk to my father directly on the phone. I found that very admirable and it allowed me to feel like there was no dishonesty. I have been a customer of Autotronics on Riverfront for 10 years. Since our family drives used cars we have had a variety of work done over the years - oil changes to oxygen sensors. The staff is always friendly and courteous.

Ive gone to other places in town, and have never been treated with such respect before. Terry showed me everything that was going on with my car, and made sure that I had a firm understanding of what was going on. I was shown what would need to be done in the future, and given estimates right away. Absolutely great customer service, I will definitely be coming back in the future.

Ive been with Terry and now Todd for over 40 years. They have always been honest and trustworthy. My daughters car broke down in St. Cloud and I actually thought about having it towed to Autotronics I trust them that much. The only repairs Ive had done by others were because I was out of town, but even then with a phone call they were more than happy to answer any questions I had regarding the problem. Their quotes have been accurate and knowing that I need my van for my job have gotten the work finished on schedule.

Fantastic auto service and great customer care! Autotronics is the only place I will take my truck. I was greeted with respect the moment I spoke to the gentlemen there, they are attentive and knowledgeable. I got in fast and the prices are very reasonable. They tell you in plain English exactly what you need. They even have rental cars so that if they need to keep your car for the day they can give you a rental. All I had to pay was the gas! My car was fixed in less time than they had estimated and runs better than it has in years. I highly recommend Autotronics to anyone with car trouble!

Love this place. They are polite and happy to help. With my first visit, not only did they send me a thank you card, but also a $20 off grift card (woohoo). They have drop off and pick up services, and loaner cars should it be needed. I have lived in several places across the country and have had various different experiences (from really good, to total ripoff), I feel their quality of work matches the cost. I can say with the up most honesty, they rock!

Maybe its common in the Midwest, but Id never heard of an auto shop lending out cars while yours is being repaired- what an incredible customer service! Im pretty terrible at receiving bad car news (specifically terrible at hearing how much repairs cost) but the staff is always kind and nonjudgmental as I move through the stages of grief to acceptance. I have had some tricky issues with my vehicle and dont imagine anyone else would handle them with any more professionalism as they have at Autotronics. Their absolute best aspect is that here youre treated as a person, not just as a customer.

I was referred to Autotronics by several friends, and holy wow are they amazing. Never before have I had the confidence to bring my vehicles to a mechanic until now. They are extremely courteous, prompt, responsive, descriptive, friendly and helpful. I brought my main car in and had them do some major engine work on it, and never once doubted them as the service was outstanding. I was so happy with them that I took my (embarrassing) junker car to them and didnt once feel any judgement at all. Take my money. All of it. The folks at Autotronics are some of the greatest and most helpful people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I recently had an incident in which my vehicle had been towed to their shop but left on the street by the towing company even though Autotronics assured me there had been room for multiple vehicles. At the time of my vehicles arrival the shop was closed and the town had gone into a snow emergency which lead to my car getting towed by another towing company. When I called in the morning to talk about the needed repairs I found out that they had my keys but not my car. The service rep I spoke to at Autotronics volunteered to call the two companies and try to work something out. Unfortunately the towing companies didnt want to work together and wouldnt release my car without a hefty fine of ~$117. As I tried to work with the towing company at fault, Todd, the manager of Autotronics, called me and volunteered his services to be of help anyway he could. I went to the shop to speak with him as the towing company at fault still wasnt accepting any responsibility. We talked and he said he would call me within the hour to see if he could work something out. Within 30 minutes he called me and told me that he had arranged a deal with the the two towing companies and that everything was taken care of. I cant thank these guys enough, especially Todd! They treated me like family and kept on a smile even in a very difficult situation. My car was repaired in rapid time and I went home happy after a stressful day. Thank you Todd and everyone at Autotronics!

My girlfriend and I were on our way to southwest MN for a wedding rehearsal/wedding, and due to a series of unfortunate events, our hazard warning light button broke and went through the dashboard. We couldnt get the hazards off and were nearly to Mankato, so we stopped, researched local shops, and found Autotronics.Thank goodness we did find them--despite it being a busy Friday afternoon, they helped us immediately, even holding the door open for us as we walked inside. They disconnected the hazards and we were back en route to our rehearsal dinner in barely 10 minutes. They didnt charge us a penny! I was blown away. Thanks, Autotronics!

I take my car here because I know I am going to be treated fairly. I had a weird car issue that popped with my prius. It took a bit to figure out the problem, but I was only charged for the repair work. I was not charged for all the time it took to narrow down the problem. They even showed me how to change out my own headlight so I wouldnt have to pay a fee for a simple 5 min fix. A mechanic with integrity.

Having taken multiple vehicles in for routine maintenance or checking for what be symptoms of larger problems, Autotronics has consistently been prompt, communicated plenty, and was very up front about what to expect. I appreciate how their professionalism is so dependable.

Plus, because I had a coupon for a free brake inspection, not only that, but the whole service was FREE of charge. Absolutely perfect since I was wincing at the possiblity of paying a bundle, but I was spared of spending, plus got excellent service. Will definitely go again for any of my vehicles needs!

Been taking my vehicles there for yrs -great turnaround . Sure had problems with parts failure but theyve taken great care of getting it fixed right away. Autotronics is not the cheapest place to get it fixed in town it is the best. They will only use quality parts and warranty the parts they use.

My engine had been acting up so I took my car(very old) in to get the engine looked at, as well as an oil change - they gave my car a complete check up and found some severe rusting under my engine, as well as a few other issues, so Jay called me in right away to show me. Because of the conditions my car was truly not safe to drive anymore and there really wasnt anything else that could be done for it. :( RIP.. They had already drained my oil but wanted to put the old oil back in so I wouldnt be charged for the new oil change. Staff was friendly/honest. And for all their time they didnt even charge me anything!! A+++

My truck recently had its clutch go out one evening. I ended up seeing Autotronics on google with good reviews and decided Id have it towed there. Im glad I did. I called the next day and spoke with Jay to help explain what happened. They had it diagnosed by the end of the day and gave me my quote. They ended up offering me a loaner car while the work was getting done and even came to my place to pick me up as I live by myself. Within another day they had the work done early in the day and I was able to pick it up and be on my way. The staff was all very friendly and helpful with the my unfortunate situation. Would go back there without question.

However as a broke college student price is obviously a major concern and their prices for labor/parts are ~15%-20% higher than comparable repair shops.Edit- Just found out the part I paid 200+ for in this shop is easily available for 50 online from multiple sources. Gotta love when mechanics screw you over!

Brought my ford ranger in for an AC issue. Told him to give me best and worst case. He did so but said lets hope for the best. Well Ive heard of some repair places only doing the worst case. Well NOT autotronics they came back with the best case only low on freon. Got out of there with a minimal bill. It feels great to have a repair place you can so trust. They have not seen the last of my vehicles.
