Mostly use this location to drop off packages, always easy in and out. I see a lot of complaints here regarding packaging Amazon returns for you, there are instructions included with your returns which I have missed a couple of times and have been charged a nominal fee for something as arbitrary as taping up a box but its only a couple of bucks.
Dont bother with this store rude young man and wanted to charge me to put a strip of tape on two boxes. I travel the state of Kansas and use UPS stores all the time. Never has anyone wanted to charge me for putting tape on my box. I will NEVER USE THIS STORE AGAIN.
I have always had a great experience with all of the staff there. Always welcomed as soon as I walk in the door and very quick service.
Quick in and out today. Very helpful staff for a very simple visit.
They’re good at what they do. Was literally in and out in 2 min at the most.
I was a little bit worried about visiting this place because of the feedbacks but honestly I went in with my package ready, missing only the shipping label because they needed to scan it from my phone and I thought that they were going to charge me for that and just for them putting on my package, based on some of the feedbacks but, they didnt. They were fast and friendly. If you ask me, a nice customer service!
I have always had a great experience with this store, Im responsible for how my packages are packed, I make sure theyre ready to go when I arrive at the store. I do amazon returns also, everybody at the store is friendly and provides great service. I honestly dont understand why the negative reviews.
Friendly service. Four employees working the front desk and waited in line for maybe 10 seconds.
This is my go-to place to mail all of my packages--Ive been going for several years. Theyre always friendly and efficient; my packages arrive before or on the day its expected.
Coming in and reading past reviews, I was a bit worried that the price would be more than I expected, but! Excellent customer service. Came in to return something to Amazon without a box - was able to get my bike measured, given the option for them to pack it for me and printed my label. Was extreeeemely affordable. Its a packaging/shipping store, not sure what people were expecting. Thanks yall.
Do not use for military shipping! They send everything to USPS with a 1,000% mark up and use the slowest shipping option. USPS express military shipping for my package would have been $11 and arrived in 7-9 days. UPS charged me $95 dollars and sent it ground taking 21+ days.NEVER AGAIN.
Fast, friendly and efficient. I’m in, out, and on my way!
Ive had such mixed experienced with this location. Sometimes one of the employees is pleasant, other times youd think the kids would rather be anywhere else but there and they treat the customers as such. Theyll be texting on their phones or having personal conversations and make customers wait for them to wrap up chatting about whatever girl theyre dating or Netflix show theyre watching. The attitude of general ambivalence is on display often.I use this location semi often, out of necessity, not because I prefer it. If I didnt live west of town, I would probably opt for the other location. But more disappointing still is the responses the owner here gives to customers who are unhappy. Even when a customer is being unreasonable, the replies to them in this public forum are borderline abhorrent. Tolerance, understanding and compassion are a must in public services. I have never handled an upset customer in my business in the fashion that the owner of this location seems to think is acceptable (I have no doubt I will receive his ire for my review as well, rather than just addressing perceived problems). The redeeming qualities of this shop come in the form of one or two employees that are pleasant about 80% of the time. Working in customer service, I expect the occasional off day so I find 80% to be base line acceptable. I am remiss to say Ive never asked their names but Ill make a point to learn them in the future so they can be commended properly.Unfortunately improvement needs to be undertaken with many employees and the angst on public display by the owner. In a small town like this, customer service (or lack thereof) can cripple or destroy a business. By no means do I hate this location, but its far from what I would consider an enjoyable experience or interaction most of the time. Its one of those places that you just want to get in and get out asap because you often feel unwelcome and burdensome to staff. If the shop improves, so will my review and rating.
Wow, didn’t tell me that insurance was as expensive as it was until after they already printed the label basics forcing me to pay double what online UPS was going to charge. Don’t use these crooks to ship out. Make and print your label online then drop your packages off.
I went to UPS March 1st to send a document to France and mentioned that it needed to arrive before March 15th (2 weeks). The UPS employee made a face like if it was already too late to send my document for this deadline. She told me I could pay $124 for an arrival for the following week, no garantee. It arrived March 3rd! I dont like to be taken for a fool and wont use UPS anymore. And she was even not pleasant! UPS should revise the customer service at this location!
The UPS store in Manhattan, Kansas is the best place to mail a package/letters, make copies and many other things. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and quick to help you. Im usually in-and-out in
DO NOT have them box the items for you. All my Christmas gifts arrived broken and shattered after they “packed” the items and charged me $167 to mail 2 packages. Very disappointed and then to find out the shipping place near Aggieville Is cheaper and will actually use bubble wrap and packing materials to protect your items & not just throw them in a box, was infuriating.Would NOT recommend using this place for anything.
Could not find it in their budget to give me tape for my label without a charge. When told other UPS stores do it they said, but we didnt receive money for shipping just accepting a drop off. It was a prepaid UPS label for goodness sake.
Awful! The past two times that I visited this location, there were problems with shipping items. I received incorrect shipment information; left there and went to FED EX and had absolutely no issues. The second visit, I was returning an item to a communications company and the customer service rep had no idea had to handle a return shipment. She even wanted to charge me to put a piece of tape on a box! Ive never had any shipper to charge for tape! Needless to say, Im a Fed Ex customer now!
Returned many of packages here and never until today have I been charged. Walked in with my medical device I was returning back to the company in the original box with a prepaid return label. Set it on the counter told the girl i wasnt sure of the best place to put the label. She took it and said well take care of it. Then told me i owed her money since she had to prep the package. What a joke, wont be coming back here. Charge the people that want there stuff returned, not me.
I just drove all the way to Manhattan to drop off a package because the online information says the store is open. The signage on the building also shows that the store should be open. Yet the building is not open without explanation. If this is COVID-related, there is no notice of this change to the hours. Thank you for wasting my time while I already have too much to get done in too short a time today.
I have returned several packages back to Amazon. I ship all of my Christmas and birthday boxes through this UPS store over the last several years and I have never had a problem with any of the employees or long wait times. Its a lot more convenient than waiting for UPS to open to the public.
Worst ever. Cannot get things done right! Totally waster of time and energy!
Male employee very rude and unwelcoming...also spoke to my child in an extremely inappropriate tone...he told her (in that tone) “don’t touch those cards, I’m already going to have to rearrange them as it is cause they’re already mixed up” mind you she was only looking at the pictures on them and telling me what they were as I was being waited on by another employee...she wasn’t damaging them in any way and put them back where she got them from...it took me a minute to process that he actually spoke to her, not me, like that. I decided it was best to leave without saying anything to him because honestly I was speechless in that moment...But yeah next time sir speak to the parent directly not the child cause I promise you other parents aren’t as passive as me
I swear Daniel works everytime I come in here. Nobody has ever been mean but they hands down do their best to get us in and out. Cant say enough good things.
I called regarding package pickup and the woman who answered the phone was rude. No name given either. Based on responses from the owner (or manager) I definitely won’t be using UPS.
I was apprehensive about coming due to the abysmal reviews. However immediately upon walking in I was asked if they could help with anything and within two minutes I was on my way. Kind courteous employees who are prompt with their service would come back again.
I shipped a piece of stereo equipment to my brother and the item was damaged and I will tell you both myself and my brother were heart broken. It can not be replaced but the UPS store had suggested to purchase the insurance and I did and Im very pleased with the outcome. Thank you Daniel. I will continue to ship my things with the UPS store!
I had a passport photo taken the other day with their new equipment. It turns out it isnt the correct width. I called and explained and the man simply said Thats what we provide. I asked if we could retake and he more or less repeated what hed already said. No common courtesy such as Were sorry to hear that mam. etc. I said Well Ill know for the next time. Silence then I added that . .perhaps they might too. I had expected some customer service communication even if they couldnt do anything. Then he hung up!!
I rarely give places 1 star but I give this franchise store one star because I hope to let people know not to waste their time, energy, and money coming here. This store doesn’t have to play by many of corporate rules because they are a chain. if you must go to a UPS store then go to the one near Walmart. Otherwise, you’re better off to stick with FedEx or even the Postal office.
So I had a return package and a prepaid return label in my email. I could have had the driver print me out one for free and drive it all the way out to my house. I decide to be courteous and just take it to the ups store. Instead of helping me they charge me 3 dollars to use the computer, charge me 30 cents to print, and charge me for a full roll of tape to use 2 small pieces to affix label. . Great logic. The next time I went to staples. They printed me out my label, gave me a sticky envelope to put it in (so no need for tape) and scanned and took it for me. Grand total? 23 cents. And they did it with a smile.which leads me to my other complaint.the woman who manages the UPS Store is rude. She talks down to customers, acts indifferent, and always seems to be annoyed with the customers. Expect to wait, since she usually places more importance on chit chatting with employees than helping customers, and expect an attitude if you have a question about anything. Think Soup Nazi of shipping
Every person I have dealt with in this store shows an extreme lack of customer service. I have shipped packages all over the United States and never have been told they will charge me a dollar for some tape. Best part it was to tape their own label on. I asked where is another place to ship UPS and the reply was I dont know. Not let me check nothing. For future reference you can ship UPS at Staples. This franchise will not get one more cent from me.
The owner of this location must be an absolute penny pinching tyrant judging on how the employees treat customers. I work for a corporation that spends thousands of dollars monthly shipping via ups and when I’ve used this location I’ve been spoken to rudely about asking for envelopes to ship my express packages. I was once told I was going to have to start buying them online because the store doesn’t have enough for me. Another time I printed a 15 dollar shipping label from their computer and they made me pay extra- when printing it from behind the register is free and at most other UPS locations, you can print UPS labels for free. I get that UPS stores are a franchise but UPS should more closely monitor which stores are representing their company poorly.
Wonderful first time experience with having UPS pack and ship to Amazon! Extremely polite, professional young lady helped me and the whole experience was so smooth.
I was in and out in 2 minutes, which wasnt what I expected after reading all these other reviews. Im not saying everyone will be in and out with such little time, but the employee I talked with seemed friendly and made my experience quick and easy. Im satisfied.
Never have had a problem and I seem to find myself going here fairly often. Over the last 3 years, been fast, friendly service. I see all these other reviews and never have seen someone have a problem while being here either. 2 stars isnt a fair representation from my experiences.
I go here on a weekly basis to send stuff for my work. They are nice, fast and they remember who I am! Packages get where they need to be on time and I have no worries that the employees will get what I have where it needs to go after I leave.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Store hours are decent enough for most people to make it work around their schedule. Over all its a pretty good store, hands down beats going to the post office!
I was able to walk right in and hand them my package. I was making an Amazon return so they knew what to do with it and didnt take any extra time to discuss or wait around. I was in and out of the store in about 30 seconds.
This place is fine, I don’t know what the fuss it about.
I called to ask what I needed to do to a document/what the process of having something notarized was. I figured that since they are listed as a notary public they would be able to help me. The person told me if I didnt have certain things on the letter they wouldnt be able to notarize it. I asked what those things were and was told they werent sure but I could probably look to the state for their guidelines. I will go some place else to spend my money since your customer service is so unhelpful. How do you not know what those things are or at least have a website to direct folks to?
The notary at this UPS store was very rude and unprofessional to me. I was there to have an I-9 completed by a notary as the acting agent of a new employer. This I-9 was not to be notarized. There was a separate document that was to be notarized. She flatly and rudely refused to even listen to what I had to say for my request to her and simply repeated more than once that it is illegal for an I-9 to be notarized. I wasnt even asking that the I-9 be notarized. She finished the conversation by stating that I could get someone on the street to fill out the I-9. Wow. Thank you kind and professional notary public. Seriously just go somewhere else.
They want to charge me $1 for a piece of 4 inch long tape to seal my small box. The clerk proudly claims that they make hundreds of dollars off their customers in this way. It is so cheap! I mean, the $1.
They charged me a dollar for the tape and then sent the package back to me because they didnt put the return lable over the original shipping lable ....30 min drive (one way) that i have to go out of my way to drive again to try and return the same items
The man in the front desk was very rude. He needs professional customer care training. I will never go there again.I recommend FedEx at Aggieville. I had to go the UPS because FedEx didnt have the facility that I wanted today.
Rude woman at counter saw me holding heavy box, carried on irrelevant personal conversation with the person in line in front of me. When I finally got to the counter and put it down she snapped at me that I put it in the wrong place. She definitely needs retraining.
Horrible customer service. Third time in the store trying to send a package to daughter in China, yesterday was told to pick up a flat rate box from the post office and come back. I did only to be told today that they couldnt ship it flat rate.
Totally BAD Customer service. I needed 3 color copies printed. Was told they charge $0.39 per color print. I gave them a flash drive to print the onw file from. They printed 3 copies of the 1 page PDF doc. They rang up $3.49! Whaaaat? There is a $2.00 computer fee!ARE YOU KIDDING ME? REALLY! Yep, for real!
Incredibly rude desk clerk. It is obvious that this store doesnt care how people rate their service since there is history of rude ratings. Id rather stand in line at the post office.
The manager said, “ we don’t guarantee any shipment arrive!” when I asked what they were going to do with my lost box. She had a emotionless face and didn’t show any sympathy during the whole conversation.
The lady at the front desk is very rude and very unhelpful. I recommend going to another UPS Store or go to FEDEX down the road. I hope this lady does not represent all of UPS because she is at your front desk bringing down customer experience.
Extremely rude personnel. I had to return some books and I had the printed label, but needed bubble wrap. I made the mistake of taping my box, so when I went to the store I asked the guy (cannot remember his name) if I could buy some bubble wrap. He seemed annoyed and was very rude about my request. When I asked if I could get a tracking number, he rudely chuckled and said, “No, you cannot.” When I asked if the package could be postmarked with the date, he also responded rudely and said, “No.” I will take the advice from previous posts and go somewhere else for service next time.
Had a ship a box to the Philippines and the staff was very helpful.
I suppose The quality of your experience depends on who helps you in the store. I had a couple average experiences with this location (when compared to other shipping stores in town), but one lady worked really hard to solve my problem and saved me over $100 on a shipment.
Great service and friendly staff
Bad customer service. The lady was rude and said that my shipment meant nothing to her or that she doesnt care. Then directed me to the UPS shipping ground but didnt want to inform me that it was closed until 3 PM.
Some employees do need to work on customer service skills....... At least pretend to care or listen.
Manager is rude. Customer Service is a foreign concept to them. They epitomize the culture of nickel and diming.
Poor attitudes all around, and they charge to put a piece of tape on top. Fed ex wouldnt treat me like that.
Great customer service
Do not call to get info because they do not work for ups but it is called the ups store
I love this place and the service, do not at all understand the negative reviews.
The staff was wonderful, happy and cheerful.
Worst service ever. Not very friendly to military families.
Worked here and they are so unfriendly and expect all employees to be unfriendly and treat people like they are stupid, not a good place
Terrible service.staff there is very irrespective and ignorant. They work like they dont care about promise of service and the name they represent.
Horrible customer service
Rude service!
Rude and ignorant
The best !!
