Went in to Manhattan best but November 2nd 2021 asked questions about my samsumg TV he said we can make an appointment I said ok thatsfine. He made an appointment for 12:40 the next day. I took a longer lunch and brought it in at 12:40 brought it in set it on the table. The geek squad guy came out and said we dont work on tvs here what I should do is make an in home appointment. So I said so I wasted my time on appointment you set up his response (I couldnt make this up) Yes. and he turned around and went into the back room

First time dealing with geek squad. Brought my daughters new laptop in to get virus protection, minor tweeks. Was quoted 3 days which was a pretty long time for the minor install. Day 5...still not done. My daughter is a full time online student. It was pertinent we get the laptop back Sunday which gave them a full day longer than quoted. My daughter has classes she may miss. Second week of school. This mama is very unhappy with the Best Buy geek squad to say the least.

I spent 6 hours on the phone with remote customer service to get told to go to store to get refund. I go to get refund like instructed and get told by sales rep and manager that I need to have it in writing. So I go back to talking to phone customer service for 6 more hours and get told the same thing and that the store can see notes and that it shows that they just need to issue refund. This is the worst customer service ever. I could have drove to Kansas City and went to Micro Centers where I get better customer service. This is my suggestion to anyone needing IT things.

Update: They have lost all of our future business. Best Buy never even bothered ordering the second computer. They had us order a /different/ computer that was $200 more which they only comped $100 of and then they refused to comp us the $300 warranty even though we purchased the warranty for the computer they never replaced.———————Bad service.We went in to buy my husband a computer for summer. We bought a really nice one that they had ship in. Once we got it, it was broken within a week. We took it back in (Luckily we got the warranty). They told my husband he could buy the part to fix it himself for $100, pay them to fix it in house for $200 OR they could ship it off to get fixed for free covered by the warranty.We wanted the computer for summer so shipping it off was painful but we were told we’d get it back in a few weeks so we did so.They told us that there was no fixing the computer and they offered us a replacement. Then we got silence for three weeks. My husband couldn’t call the Manhattan Ks location to find out any information because the number listed only sends you to the national location.We live out of town and had to go INTO the location to talk to anyone about what was going on. Once there, they told him that they had to get the computer shipped to the main Best Buy location and once it got there it would need to be shipped to the Manhattan location before we could get it.It has been over a month and we not only don’t have a computer, we don’t even have a tracking number. We have not been communicated with and I am very unhappy. This is the most we’ve ever spent on a computer and until now we have always bought from Best Buy. If this isn’t fixed soon they will loose all of our future business.Supposably it will take 2-3 weeks /after/ we finally get a tracking number before we can go pick up our computer.

Made an appointment for computer repair on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 6:20 p.m. When I arrived they asked a few questions and then said they were ready to take out computer. They said they could potentially have it back to us by Wednesday, May 12, 2021. When prompted as to why I had to leave my computer for so long, they stated that the specialist would not be back until Wednesday and they thought my issue would require their services.Unfortunately I had some homework to get done, so I asked if I could drop it off on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. They said of course, and I got rescheduled for that day at 6:20 p.m. to drop off my computer for repairs to be done on Wednesday.Today, May 11, 2021, I walked in and was greeted with a sign that said the Geek Squad was not in till May 13, 2021. I inquired at the front desk and they said they had some people that were sick and under quarantine. However, she said that I could still drop off and directed me to customer service. When I got to the customer service desk, the man up front said he had not been told of any policy regarding drop offs for the Geek Squad while they were out due to being sick. He talked to what I assume was his supervisor over his headset, and said they had run out of space for drop-offs. He then stated he could reschedule me, but that the next available was going to be Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:20 p.m., and it to would be for a drop off.I understand, people get sick and need time off. However, it would have been nice to get an email stating that they would be unable to honor our appointment for that day. The back and forth is frustrating and unprofessional.

Went with my daughter to upgrade her phone. Had to make an appointment for 3 hours later, and they do not have the configuration my daughter wanted. Went across the street to an Verizon store, got it upgraded within 30 minutes. Poor services, low inventory, it just not a place for cell phone anymore.

We had to return a defective internet router and that process went smoothly. Although while trying to find a different router, we spent at least a half hour in the aisle reading and doing research on our phones while never being asked if we needed assistance. Finally we asked a friendly young man that was helping a friend pick out a router for himself and he kindly advised us on the difference in routers which helped us make a decision. Not once in that whole time did we get asked if we needed help. However we did get offered help while browsing in the television section. Other than that our router exchange went smoothly and we are hoping this one last longer than 3 months this time around.

I bought a laptop here 4 months ago that has quit working. Lenovo insists that I go through Best Buy for repairs and Best Buy insists that I schedule an appointment a week from now just to DROP IT OFF!! It doesn’t operate and I use it for work, but can get no help on something apparently under warranty. This is so frustrating. Would not recommend

Five installation attempts of our dishwasher later, and I still have a dishwasher that tips over when opened. We bought a new set of appliances a few months ago. I was so excited! The team they had to come install the fridge and the oven range and the dishwasher, installed the dishwasher wrong. So we called Best buy and asked them for reinstall. The team came out again and reinstalled the dishwasher. The dishwasher fell out of place again. We asked for a reinstall. Best buy started getting annoyed with us, but they sent out the installers again. The dishwasher now blocked our cabinet from opening. We tried to arrange a replacement instead. Best buy said it had been too long. We had to have the installers come out to document why our dishwasher did not work with our cabinetry. Installers never came. Several all day calls later, and seven months past when we ordered we still have a dishwasher that falls forward onto me when I load it. If you want to have your large purchase go smoothly, go elsewhere. If you enjoy a run around and condescending excuses, Best Buy is for you.

I had an interview with Misty (the GM) for a Car Audio Install Tech and thought it went very well. After the interview Misty gave me her cell phone number and told me to call her back next Wednesday.Well I did call back next Wednesday .. Then Friday, then sent an email, and never received a response. Finally 12 days later I get an email informing me I didnt get the job.That was pretty unprofessional right there!

I bought a 55 Insignia Roku TV in 2018 with a 5 year protection plan. The picture went dark. I am disabled but I managed to get some help and brought the TV to the Manhattan KS location to expedite getting a replacement. I live about 20 miles away. I was told that I had to lug the TV back into my house and call in for an appointment. Then in a week or two someone would come to my house to check it out. I dont want to be without a TV and I dont want strangers in my house(especially with Covid concerns). So, not only did the TV only last 3 years, I wasted $80 on the Geek Squad Protection Plan. Best Buy only cares about you when they are taking your money. I went to Walmart and bought a LG TV. Thanks Best Buy for costing a disabled person with a fixed income over $400 because your protection plan is virtually worthless.

This place was ok at first when I started going there but their service has slipped lately, they are not as knowledgeable as they used to be, half the time I have to try to find someone to help me, because it seems that a majority of the employees are in the cell phone area...so I purchased a tablet and the extra coverage, I asked so many questions about the extra coverage ibwas there for quite some time and they couldnt really give me information about it, I paid $60 bucks but what they dont tell you is that after you turn it in for repair it becomes null and void and you must purchased another extra protection coverage if you want the coverage to continue on the product

Ive been here before, but the clerk that helped us with phones and cases sid such an extreme job, thought Id shout out to him. Stopped at att store first, got treated badly. Came here and he was so helpful and knowledgeable about the products. Was super courteous and great with suggestions and info on everything we asked about. We ended up buying 3 phones, cases and headphones. Great asset to this company! Hopefully management has noticed.

As I sit here and look at my office set up, I am very glad for the help I recieved from Zachary in the computer department on 10/12 (or 13) cant remember. However, he did a great job getting me a great deal, the monitors he recommended are AWESOME, I came in later in the evening after talking with him earlier in the day and finished the purchase with the assistant Manager who was just as helpful, and just a great team, hats off, keep that standard up guys its the way to gain returning business and Best Buy should be proud to have Zach and his Assistant Manager on Staff. Kudos.

The staff here works really hard to make sure you find what youre looking for. If you have any questions about anything they can almost always answer them for you. Entered the store went straight to computer area, located the Apple area as I was looking to buy a Mac Air laptop. Was a woman helping another customer so we waited. She never acknowledged us and left with the customer to never be seen again. We waited like 15 minutes no help showed up. Asked couple employees to get someone too help us, nobody showed up . After about 20 minutes we left and do not plan to ever return. Hope the store closes as it doesnt care about customers. I will not beg a store to take my money.

Normally try to shop local. When I have been here the past couple of times, they are really pushy and ask what you are looking for as soon as you walk in the door. It’s like being at a used car lot or discount furniture store.Most local stores say hello and ask if there is anything they can help you with, and leave it at that. Understand not everyone wants or needs help. There are a lot online options that in my opinion, are the better option for price and selection.

Standard Best Buy. Seemed a little understaffed, but given COVID and KSU being on winter break thats not exactly there fault. I visited for a rather exotic piece if hardware (a Type C Mini HDMI cable for a monitor at work) but unfortunately they dont carry specialty items like that. Despite that they have all the normal appliances, tech, and gizmos you could desire. I might return for a personal purchase of a surround sound system for my TV.

I was surprised that Walmart had not problem opening their doors across the street with the massive number of customers they get but Best Buy would not allow customers in the store. Im pretty sure Best Buy can maintain social distancing, they never have that many people in store. Such is life, I got what I needed.

I was greeted at the door by a very helpful young lady . Who directed to what i needed and yes needed help so she had someone come over and he helped me . The store was very conscious of coved19. The store was very clean, not over crowded, the company showed how concerned it was for not only its customers but for its employees. Thank you for all that you do .

Im not at all happy. I picked and purchased a laptop with a protection plan for my business. After an unfortunate accident left the computer working except needing to attach a different display device as the screen was now cracked. I had to schedule an appointment for two weeks out just to drop off the computer and then was told it would be about a week or two before my device would be repaired. I checked back after 2 weeks and my device but still showing just checked in but not being worked on. So I contactedBest Buy and was told that it was going to be at least another week or two. I explained that this was my business computer and that Id already been told that one dropping it off after waiting two weeks prior to that even to prop the computer off. Best Buy then offers me a replacement but not the computer I had picked. I end up having to pick something I do not want as I need a computer for my business. I dont feel like they met their end of the deal when it comes to their protection plan.
