Went to a different store with the intent to purchase a guitar and effect pedals, but no help/effort offered by the sales team in an empty/slow store. Checked out the Music Mill and was immediately greeted and was asked if I needed help on multiple occasions as I was browsing. Negotiated a great deal on a used Les Paul Custom. Very satisfied, great team over there! My new go to!

Honestly, a ton of high quality gear. But what made this place a success for so many years in the past was buying and selling USED gear, of which that collection has dwindled to next to nothing. They’re showroom floor used to consist of almost too much affordable killer used stuff. Now it’s like sure, go ahead and spend $3k on a new Martin. This store needs to figure out how to bring back the large selection of used equipment at affordable prices to make going there worth the working musician’s while.

I live in Virginia. I purchased a new Fender Tone Master Twin Reverb (Blonde) from their website on 10/29. Payment was quick and easy. Reached out to them a couple times about shipment. The text link on their website is great. They responded very quickly. The Twin Reverb showed up undamaged and I have used it for couple times. All functions work as expected and it sounds great and looks really nice. I also purchased a used Gretsch G6609TFM Players Edition from Music Mill from their EBayb site back in July and the same was true about that purchase. Purchase process was flawless and the instrument arrived in excellent condition and setup nicely ready to jam. I highly recommend Music Mill and their professional staff.

Manchester Music Mill has quickly become one of my favorite places to shop for used gear. They have an absolutely colossal selection from pedals, to PA equipment, to studio gear and rackmount stuff, not to mention drums, guitars, amps, and more. The prices seemed exceptionally fair and the employees were quick to check in with us to make sure we found everything okay!

Manchester Music Mill is a hidden jem of New Hampshire. The inventory is amazing! The staff is knowledgeable, the techs upstairs keep my guitars in shape for a reasonable price. I’ve watched them grow from a small little space selling used pedals into a guitar powerhouse! It’s not the best store local to me, it’s easily the best shop in New Hampshire and one of the best in New England! Love these guys!I’m spoiled I’m 5 minutes away, I go there just to see what’s new at least once a week. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Im not a novice musician but am a ukulele novice. ALL of the staff were so helpful and made me comfortable to ask lots of question and try the uses for as long as I wanted. Plus, the prices were better (even without the sale) than the other two shops I visited. I will definitely come back here for my next upgrade!!!

Its been a great deal every time Ive shoped there. Today they outdid themselves. Did a guitar trade. They discounted the price of the new guitar so not only was it a even trade and didnt cost me anything. It actually gave me a 30$ surplus for free stuff. I have bought numerous guitars, amps, pedals, and accessories from the Music Mill in the past few years, and each purchase was exceptional -- their pricing, their friendliness/helpfulness, and their selection of product on hand. A terrific music store, managed well (and basically no people turnover in years -- that says something about how good they are) -- a place I look forward to shopping, as I spend my kids inheritance on gear (!).

I have made 2 large purchases from Music Mill over the past 12 months, one guitar and one amp. The guitar purchase included a trade. Not only did I get a very fair trade value for my guitar but they also gave me a nice discount on the guitar I bought. Anyone who has been around the block with music stores knows that a lot will not discount the new item at all if part of the transaction includes a trade. Heck, some wont discount at all no matter what. What they did goes above and beyond and shows a genuine desire to establish a relationship with the customer.As for the store, these guys know what players are looking for and have a large inventory of stuff that will suit the tastes and budgets of just about anyone who walks in there. Plenty of high end and eclectic stuff that you will never find in a chain store. Just try to control yourself and not drool all over yourself in the store. Most importantly, Ive been in this store many times. Most of those times I just went in and looked around. Maybe I picked something up and noodled on it. Ive been asked many times if I needed help. But, at no time did I ever feel pressured. All in all, this is a very well run shop. I will buy from Manchester Music Mill again, for sure.

Ive been coming here for a few months now to get strings and things, try out new guitars, etc. Staff has always been great. Very helpful and passionate people.A few months ago I sent my acoustic guitar in to repair a crack in the neck. They had the job done quickly and neatly, and now my acoustic plays just as well as it ever did.Came in last night looking to buy a bass for the first time. John (fairly sure it was John) really helped me out, pulled out all the stops to find me a bass that I really liked playing and even recommended me an amp to go along with it.In my experience, this is a great business with great people. Im sure Ill be back soon.EDIT: came back to buy a Stratocaster and Ben was really helpful as well. I came in multiple times throughout the weekend and he always made sure I had everything I needed, letting me play any and every model I wanted until I was satisfied with the purchase I was making.

Ive purchased two guitars, an amp and three pedals from Manchester Music Mill over the past year and Im continuously impressed by their prices and customer service. I have a guitar store (one of the big chain stores) about 2 miles from my house but I always make the drive (over an hour) to Manchester Music Mill for my guitar needs. I traded in a few items for my last purchase and they gave me a very fair trade-in price for my gear which was great! Who likes to haggle and argue to get a good price? You have my business for life!Just wanted to post an update...I purchased a Telecaster from MMM after trading in a Strat and I pretty much immediately regretted that decision. So I went back about 2 weeks later and told them I would really prefer another Strat. Without giving me a hard time or trying to convince me to keep the Tele, they happily took the Tele back and helped me find a great Strat (see pic). As I said in my original review, Im a customer for life.

The selection of Bass Guitars and amps are extensive, the space is well presented and has a fun, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are extremely helpful, especially Ben who helped me out, and I bought a used Fender Jazz Bass in good condition(case included), Amp, cord, Leather Strap and picks for about 900. Their staff, trade in policy, warranty, and technical expertise is invaluable, and those are services you just can’t get with big online stores. The inventory has a full range of equipment from entry level to top of the line pro gear. The quality is the best I have seen and their repair shop is the best I have ever dealt with. I ordered a pedal on the 18 of the month. Label printed immediately. Told me the postman didn’t pick it up so it sat thru the holiday. I asked to change the shipping because USPS takes a week to ship now, or 2 weeks. He said fine, FedEx and then shipped it usps anyway, AND LIED to me saying shipping didn’t change it, such a massive outfit, haha. Week later, still no pedal. Just two lies from a seller that’s doesn’t care at all! Didn’t offer discount or responsibility, just excuses. Lost a customer they did.

Terrible treatment of previous customers. Ive purchased several guitars here and reached out about a $4000 custom Taylor they have. I sent the store manager an email, emailed my sales person from last sale and used their contact us form on their website. Herad back from no one so bought elsewhere. Dissapointing...

Needed a bass guitar for my sons birthday during the pandemic. Manchester Music Mill was one of few stores I could find that had model in stock. Alas, it was not the color my son wanted. The owner checked in with the Yamaha warehouse and got the color my son wanted at a great price. They then shipped it to Alabama. Highly recommend!

I bought a Córdoba guitar this store on line. I strongly recommend them, they are good guys, honest and literally committed to customer satisfaction. When my guitar wasn’t holding a charge, they paid for shipping it back to them, fixed it and returned it with a gift ( a nice guitar case); the general manager gave me his cell number, and was in contact with me toensure that he backs up what he sells.All this while they are in NH and I was in CA. Imagine!!

Great Shop! Craig, Joe, and the crew kill it. their selection and, more importantly, service is top notch. They are very knowledgeable and willing to take the extra minute to elaborate on any tips, tricks, or other bits of knowledgeable that is informative to the consumer. They provide a very low pressure sales experience, but do not negate to greet every customer and offer assistance in any way possible. I highly recommend them to anyone in the greater Manchester area and definitely worth traveling to from any further distances away.

They were ok, seemed a little slick on the sales side. What you brought in to trade they said was low valued junk even after I was told a higher number over the phone, the web said 10% off but when said that that does not count toward items that were already marked down, etc. but were not marked as excluded from their well publicized sale. Basically you had to fight to get them to do what they said they were going to do. I bought the guitar but can not say that I felt good about the experience. I normally like to support brick and mortar stores but would try to to buy from someone else or on-line. But maybe I just had a bad fit with the person who was supposed to be helping me.

Went in today with hopes of buying a new tenor sax needed for Monday, SOLD OUT!!! Not even a rental available until a new one was ordered! What is going on that the sax has taken your inventory down to zero?? SO disappointed. It was my first visit after many musicians referred me to the Music Mill. My son is attending a Band Camp and has been playing Tenor although he has a very good ALTO also, he has to go where he is needed in the Band.DISAPPOINTED....

This is an amazing store. Their selection is fabulous but that’s not even the top reason why I’m giving them 5 stars. Their service is like no other guitar store. I was in the market for an amp and the first one I tried didn’t quite suit my needs, so I brought it back, they have a 45 day return period which gives you enough time to test something out and see if it’s right for you. And then they let me bring the first amp that I had already bought into the practice room to try and compare to several others, gave me all the time I needed, it was quiet enough that I didn’t have to fight five other people playing right next to me, and they took the time to learn what I was looking for and hear my skill level and musical taste and made some perfect recommendations. I live an hour away in the Boston area but from now on anytime I’m looking for gear (OK maybe not for a strap or a tuner or something, but for a guitar, amp, pedal, anything you have to test out), I’m going to make the trek, because the experience once you’re in the store is soooooo much more pleasant than you-know-where (a certain national guitar-related chain store...), it is worth it. Plus I want to help keep a service-oriented business in business!

If you are shopping for an acoustic guitar, 99% chance The Music Mill will have every option you researched...in stock. Moreover, their Sales Manager Jon has mastered the balance of providing the product knowledge you seek and giving you space to test out all the products on your own. I knew it was inevitable for me to make my purchase from this fine establishment within 20 minutes of my first visit. Competitive pricing, flexible return policy & no sales tax in NH were all just icing on the cake. Highly recommended from a highly critical consumer.

Top marks for the music mill. Amidst countless soulless GC franchises and small neighborhood shops with limited selection you’ll find the music mill which rises above. They’ve seemingly every brand of guitar effects, hundreds of used effects, the amp room has a variety of intriguing choices, and the people are very helpful. I’d like to see a deeper variety of premium guitars but I imagine they’re on their way.

After dealing with a lot of scumbag music stores, I stopped going anywhere else after finding the Music Mill. They are reasonable with trade ins and dont pressure you to buy things you dont need.I also used to take lessons there and enjoyed the teachers. Great place.

Not a bad place to go to when you’re in a pinch to grab some gear. I’m not impressed with the lack of percussion equipment. A more customer friendly approach than Guitar Center.
