Jeff is very responsive to my computer problems. He shows me insteadof just telling me what to to do. I really appreciate that approach.

I would like to caution anyone considering doing business with, or working for Jeff Computers. This is a predatory company that overcharges customers and doesn’t pay employees. I should know, I worked there for two months.

Very responsive to my needs. Took an older machine and updated it for us. Will recommend his services to everyone I know.

Brought laptop in after being dropped. Computer workes but not the screen. I was charge for 2 hours diagnostics and for a new screen $286.24, he said they would get to it right away, then we waited. 8 days later I call nothing has been done, he said if l had taken it best buy that I would have to wait 2 month. Little frustrated. They called later that afternoon needing password and could not enter it correctly to open. My wife went by after work and entered the same password to open. We waited another 4 business days to find out the screen was ok but that it might be the ribbon cord and they had no way to check it or test it. So they ordered cord and still no answer. Finally my wife went by after 2 weeks picked up computer, received credit for screen $125.00 but they kept $150.00 for diagnostics with no diagnostics being done, no answers given except it might be something else. I live in the area and drive by Jeff Computers regularly, thought we would give small businesses a chance. Avoid this small businesses!!!!!!

Before even describing my laptop issue, the person (Jeff?) pitched refurb laptops to me and claimed my 14 month old model was already out of date. I showed him a single missing screw on the back cover to which he stated it would probably cost $200 to repair. Then pitched me a refurb again. Finally he went upstairs and returned with a large Tupperware container full of loose screws of every size. Seriously? He scrounged in it for five minutes and I left.

We came here last minute with a computer that wouldnt start a week before my finals and a day before a presentation. They were able to get all my files back and get everything working within the hour. Life savers, would highly recommend.

Called on a Saturday afternoon with a laptop issue shortly before closing. Jeff was willing to stay as long as necessary to resolve my issue. Incredibly helpful, and even gave a few tips for future reference! If any future issues, I know where Im going!

Jeff and his techs have done a fantastic job with my computer needs. My PC was way overdue for a good cleaning on the inside. I also decided to finally upgrade my operating system from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I brought my computer in on Wednesday morning and was able to pick it up on the same day. Now my PC is nice and clean, and it performs faster with the upgrade to Windows 10. If you ever have any computer needs, I highly recommend that you visit Jeff Computers on Manchester Road.

My experience was not good. The price communicated over the phone was misleading compared to the charge when I tried to pick up my computer. The work was performed but the price was high and changed.

All they did was answer a question o er the phone for me.

I bought a cheap refurbished computer from him and at first I thought it was alright but then I ran into a lot of problems with the device while away at college. At every turn of getting the computer he overpriced the fix cost (a couple times it was his fault and still tried to charge me) and never really fixed the computer. I do not recommend

Jeff just installed Windows 10 on my laptop which was running Windows 7Pro for the last 6 years with no problems. They also installed a SSD drive and solved one minor issue for me. They also did an optimization and now it is really fast. It look like this was a great move and also a great value.

I took my PC a while back to get it fixed. They charged a diagnostic fee. After few weeks they told me that they cannot fix it. I lost my money. Do not go there if you want to get it fixed. I am very disappointed with their service. Do not trust them. If there was zero ratings I would have given.

Jeff and his staff are fantastic. Whenever I have a problem, which is not very often, they stick with me and help me to get it resolved. Their ability to problem shoot and make repairs remotely is superb. Dont hesitate about asking Jeff Computers to assist you in resolving your computer software and hardware needs.

Dont waist your time going to this place. Theyre technicians that dont test your computer components before replacing it and you end up paying for unnecessary parts. They take advantage of people that dont have knowledge. The owner of this place is a joke and even tried to steal my computer from me and luckily a police officer was in the store and made him give my computer back.

I took my laptop to him on June 8th. It went in for a screen issue. Which I paid $400 for the repair. It is now September 25th and after many many phone calls, 3 trips into the store to get them laptop. Not one call from him to me in the whole time he has had the laptop. 10 days ago he promised it would be ready today. It is not fixed in fact it is so broken that he tried to give it to another company to fix and they said it was unfixable. He said he has given it to a different third party to fix. Poor customer service!First off had to wait while he put a call on speaker for me to listen to him get into argument with another customer?Do not stand by their work. Have a printer serviced and picked up but still had same issue and not fixed. Print heads were still clogged. Brought back and was told needed order more parts? Asked for the test print to show it worked. Could not find it. Did not like when I asked for a test print to show it was repairs. Told I just wanted it back. Still charged me $100. Asked why since it was not repaired, said it was the diagnostic charge? He got upset and said he did was not going to be called a liar. I just wanted him to stand by their work. Picked up printer and walked out. He followed me outside to the parking lot to continue arguing with me.Asked why he was following me to the parking lot? Said that he did not like my attitude and I was wrong. Told him I was done. You have your money, I still have a broken printer. Go back inside.Just my thoughts. But not the greatest customer service.UPDATE....2-9-21....7 months after I get this response.....Response from the owner 2-9-21 10:48amWe can give you a discount on the diagnostic if that would help, let us know. Sorry your printer had issues.Sorry but 7 months to respond to this is again poor customer service. You said you fixed our printer, but after taking it home it still did not work. You did not stand by your repair work. Now saying you will discount the diagnostic charge. I paid for a repair you said was done. Very friendly and more than happy to help. The owner was transparent about everything. I came in with a bad hard drive which was not allowing my computer to work, and I was in a time crunch. Problem was fixed in a matter of a few hours, much quicker than most other computer repair services. Hard drive was replaced and my computer was back in working order.

My father and I had a challenging situation trying to get a presentation setup on our laptop and projector for an upcoming conference. We had no idea on how to get our presentation to work with sound. Jeff took the equipment we had, made a suggestion on an additional piece of equipment we needed to obtain the sound, ordered it for us, set it up, and got our presentation up and running in awesome shape! Only visited once, but they did fix a dead computer and managed to rescue some data that I would have hated to lose. My laptop is nearing the end of its useful life, so I wont anticipate having it repaired anymore, but for those times when you just gotta get your computer up and running, Jeff Computer seems to be the best place to go.

I worked on site at Jeff computers for the owner Jeff. I am a disabled US Marine veteran getting surgery at John Cochran on Grand (MOS 2111 / E4 Corporal / VMGR-234, last unit if you wanna know Im the real deal). And I like to do little side jobs to remind me that Im still useful in this world. I was approached by his company to resolve some unusual repairing of customers equipment thats normally not done anywhere else. Such as replacing a charging port on a ASUS tablet, etc. It had been striped out by the user. So I decided that doing some soldiering on site to assist in repairing some computers and vintage VCR equipment would be the way to go. While I was there a customer saw the detail of the projects and as if we could take a look at a digital control pad for a commercial smoke evacuator for a kitchen vent Hood. Even the manufacturer stated it couldnt be done. We did it. While there I noticed how he spoke to a lot of his customers. Had a Microsoft Surface tablet crash with all my data. Took the tablet to multiple locations including Geek Squad and the Microsoft Store. All told me that the data was lost and there was no way to recover. I spoke to Jeff at Jeffs Computer and he told that nothing is impossible. Although the cost associated with the recovery was a little high; it was well worth the alternative. They were able to do the impossible and retrieve all the data from my computer. Highly recommend this company for all recover needs. If someone says it is impossible; your next call needs to be to Jeffs Computer.

We took my sons Apple laptop for repair to the Apple store and were told it was too old to be worth repairing but if we really wanted it repaired it would be close to thousand dollars to repair it. We thought we would see what Jeff Computers would say about it. We were thrilled that Jeff was able to repair it for close to a hundred dollars and my son has used it with no problem for several months now.Recently we purchased a printer from Jeff for a reasonable price and also had him install software in it to work with my daughters Apple laptop.My family has a high regard for Jeff and his knowledge of computers and his work ethic. In fact, we feel that Jeff Computers will be our first stop when it comes to computers, printers, etc.

Friendly staff.The technicians answered my questions before the service was done. It took only a couple of days for the computer repair work to be completed.The results were great. Ive been having a stuttering issue on my PC for a few months. After narrowing down the problem to most likely being a bad CPU, I took it to Jeff Computers to get a second opinion.I tried to explain the issue, but its hard to explain and easier to show. However, when I tried describing the issue, they didnt seem to be paying very good attention.At the time, I tried not to let it get to me, and I gave them my PC.Immediately, they asked for $100 up front, which bothered me, but I was desperate to have this problem fixed.Later, I get a call saying that its fixed, and that I can pick it up, and when I do, I ask them what the issue was. They very vaguely say it was a software issue, which I find hard to believe.Still, Im trusting them because theyre professionals. They ask for another $100 dollars, and but Im short on money, so they are kind enough to let me take my PC and pay the rest later.When I take my PC home, I find that the problem is still occurring.Im very shy and non-confrontational when in person, so although I was really upset at their poor job, I couldnt bring myself to tell them about their unsatisfactory work.Although it hurt, I went back and paid the rest of the $200 that they didnt deserve.More recently, I described my issue to a friend of mine, and immediately he told me it was the CPU. He even told me of a few ways to alleviate the issue until I can get a new CPU. He has been more help by far, and I wish I had consulted him first.I dont think they are bad people at Jeff Computers, but I know they didnt seem to care enough about my situation to properly fix it. It upsets me to be out of $200, but at least I know I will never bring my business there again.

Ive done biz with Jeff for over 3 years and I have to tell you, he is above the curve in many issues. His knowledge of I.T. is impressive, has won awards, honest, hard working, and just pleasant to work with. Ive bought a number of gadgets from him and will continue.I recommend Jeff as your I.T specialist.

1 star only because there is not an option for zero star. Save the headache, time, and money and go elsewhere. Laptop crashed so he installed new hard drive. 7 months later the new one failed. They did replace it but charged me another $100+ to set back up. They sent the old hard drive with me by accident so I had a friend test it to see if bad. It was not. These hard drives are the exact to ones you can get at Best Buy for $50, he charges $108+ for them. I did return the hard drive back to him then received a collections notice that my account was past due and in collections. The outcome has yet to be determined Im still waiting, I have receipt of it all. My advice is Stay Away from this place, not to mention the snooty snotty attitude you get from him and his employees. Youve been warned!!

I came in and told them what I did with my computer (graphic art) and what programs I run. They built a desk top computer that was everything I needed and much cheaper than the other big computer stores. Its been running great! Very positive experience.

I previously had a computer repaired at a different location (out of state)and was hesitant to have to have it fixed again when the same problem recurred. Jeff was fantastic and educated me on the issue. He encouraged me to consider purchasing a refurbished computer and happened to have just the one I was interested in. For the same price as a repair, I walked out with a new (refurbished) computer with all my information loaded on it. Would absolutely return to Jeff in the future.

First and LAST time using Jeff Computers. When I dropped my laptop off for a reinstall of Windows 7, there was an elderly couple arguing with Jeff re: what appeared to be a failed repair on a printer. What really struck me was that the couple had called the police, so an officer was present during the argument. Not a good sign, but I thought I’d still give Jeff Computers a chance. With my laptop, the 1 week estimate turned to 2, and the 1 hour estimate turned to 2, without notifying me. Their notes said they did, but the only question they asked me during the work was if I minded if some programs were deleted during the reinstall. I replied “If they HAVE to be deleted, then okay.” (turns out ALL programs I had loaded were deleted. Oh well) At no time was I told of the revised 2 hour repair time. When I picked up my computer, the employee notified me the first time about the 2-hours, asking how I wanted to pay the extra hour. When I objected, Jeff entered the picture. He asked me, what WOULD I have chosen...to have it repaired or rejected it. I said I would have thought about possibly buying a used laptop. He then said that if I wanted to reject the extra cost, the technician could go in and undo what had been done. He offered to give me a deal (or something like that) and charge $60. After discussions which made me want to call the police, I said I’d pay $40 additional, on top of the $100 I paid when I dropped it off. Even when we agreed on the $40, Jeff continued his questioning on what I would have said about the extra hour. I finally told him to drop the issue. Once I got the unit home, I noticed that the Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable package wasn’t installed, nor did it seem that they went to the Microsoft website for updates. I can’t say for sure, but when I went to the MS website, there were a lot of programs that I believe they should have installed that weren’t. Again, first and last time.

Jeff Computers alway do a fantastic job of solving my problems with my lap top. They have competitive prices on new and used laptops and computers and are very responsive in servicing when a problem surfaces. I enjoy working with their repair team because they explain the problem and educate at the same time.

Jeff computers did a wonderful job on a power supply for us several years ago.I would recommend them for their ability to correctly diagnose the situation and provide us with an economical alternative to total replacement.

I will start out by saying I am a pretty clumsy guy. I have broken my laptop multiple times and have had it repaired each time. I really have not found a place that could do it in a timely fashion and be somewhat reasonable. I drove by Jeff Computers not expecting much, but boy was I wrong. They were able to diagnose my busted hard drive and replace it for around 300$. They were even able to save a project that I had not backed up, totally free. They got it done in less then a week, just in time for finals. They even let me try out there new game they developed Yargis. Overall they really were honest and upfront about all costs and if they quoted me at a price, it stayed at that price. All of the staff was very nice from start to finish. I highly recommend them.

We were looking to get a computer set up in one day. The prompt service at Jeffs computers allowed us to get set up with exactly what we needed. After repeated failed attempts to fix our hard drive over ~2 months, Jeff told us he was going to send the hard drive to SecureData. I looked up their reviews, talked to them, and then decided to let Jeff send the hard drive for me since he said he was a partner with them and could get discounts. He did mention that he might look at other labs but then it never came up again.After some time, he called me to say that they could fix the hard drive but that it was going to be an additional cost. I asked him to confirm that the hard drive was at SecureData before agreeing to the additional cost. I asked because I wanted to make sure he didnt switch the lab without telling me. He mentioned he was checking the ticket and then confirmed it was at SecureData so I agreed to proceed with the higher price.After time, I decided to call SecureData to see what the status of my drive was. SecureData informed me that:(1) My hard drive was not sent to SecureData. They could tell this from the tracking number Jeff gave me.(2) Jeff Computers is not a partner of SecureData. They were a partner at some point but the relationship was terminated by SecureData. They said they had gotten complaints from people that Jeff Computers claimed to send drives there but then did not.I confronted Jeff about this apparent lie twice - once by email after I found out and once verbally when I picked up the drive. He did not respond to my email except to tell me that the drive was ready. When I confronted him verbally, his justification was that it was up to him where he sent my drive and that they dont give out information about the labs they send drives to. He mentioned that SecureData should not have given me the information that it did. He indicated that it would have cost me more money to send it to SecureData and was unapologetic about the deception.The recovery ended up taking 3 months from the time we dropped it off and there was poor communication throughout. However, my main complaint is that I was deceived.

WARNING, WARNING!!!! DO NOT go there. They kept my desktop for over a month, finally had the wife pick it up, brought it home and they had not touched it. The requests I made had not been done and they ripped me off for $100, lying saying they never were asked to do what I said. Could not access the Internet on it, which turned out to be a defective NIC card, a simple replacement that they did not do.Wish had read the Reviews prior to going there, but can only hope others heed my warning. I am a person who does not complain, but this place is totally TERRIBLE and several BBB complaints about them.Maybe after several people experience what I went through, it will soon put them OUT OF BUSINESS. I was dis-pleased in the whole experience, so want to send this message out in hopes others will read and stay away from this place.If you do go there with a problem, MAKE SURE you have them prove to you that your problem is fixed. They lie to you and say they are too busy to do such, knowing that they did not do anything in the first place.

The hinge on my computer broke and they were able to fix it for a very resonable cost in one hour. I am very impressed with the service I received, and I highly recommend others going here. Everyone was friendly. You could tell that they really cared about the customer.

Took my laptop there for repair and I was outrageously over charged. Most places I have been to, would look up prices online for the computer part and they offer to show it you. But no, not at this place. They just mention random pricesses off the top their heads (high prices). I dont know about every body else but a 100 dollars an hour plus the cost of the computer part is a little too much. Great place if you have some money to waste

I would not go anywhere else to get my computer back in the game!.... updated from 1 year ago.... just had two computers in the shop... both returned within a week. One issue needs to be dealt with but I am confident it will be taken care of in a timely manner.... a very personable team at Jeffs!Had an emergency last month (Fall 2015)... turnaround on two computers within 72 hrs!!

This place may not look like much but maaan, Jeff there really goes out of his way to help people same day! He helped me uninstall a malware nightmare in a mere hour and a half! Only charged me for an hour tho! Great guy! Great place! 5 stars all the way!
