Some of the best chocolate in New England. This is a small business so prices are higher but worth it! Amazing fudge, great for holiday and host gifts. Hate seeing bad reviews regarding price, looks like some people should just stick to a Hershey bar

Lots of tasty chocolate and candy options. This is one of our go to places for small gifts and we often stop in to grab a quick treat after music lessions.The staff is always friendly and there are always new things to try.

Great place. extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff willing to be patient and teach. Came from out of town and learned a lot about Swiss fudge and chocolate. Theyre chocolates filled with alcohol are outstanding and delicious. Came in here to look around and left with $60 worth of yummy goodness. Wish I lived closer would come here more often!

I went a long time without ever checking this place out, why I dont know. They definitely have some great selections, blueberry cream, lemon cream are delicious!

So overpriced its insaneI dont know how they stay open with competitors offering chocolate just as good at reasonable prices!!

We went to the candy cane event. The kids had a great time and we hope to do it again next year. It was very crowded and one of my kids had a little trouble seeing the whole process.

Took a kids chocolate pizza class with my (almost) 6-year-old. Nice, small class size and the class price was very reasonable. The tour part was a little lackluster because nothing was happening or being made, but the class itself was great, fun and kid-friendly.

I’ve never had such creamy smooth fudge. This is by far the best.

I brought home a variety candies and fudge and it was all great. My wife put the fudge in the fridge to help it keep fresh and she said that it tasted even better (I think she actually purring like a cag). 😜

Staff is not knowledgeable about the chocolate they sell. Poor grade cholesterol with high sugar. It is not like it used to be. They DO NOT USE FAIR TRADE DARK CHOCOLATE. They have very high price points and some of the items are not very fresh. Some of the workers are downright mean and not one bit friendly. Go to ALDI. and buy the German “ Fair Trade” sustainable chocolate which is 65 % less sugar. They do not tell you and they play dumb about the origin of the coco they use. Poor choc liquor loaded with sugar. Do yourself a favor/ stay away!!

Van Otis has delicious chocolate and even better fudge. They hand make everything and I believe you can taste the difference. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. My friend and I went for a truffle making class. We had so much fun tasting and making chocolate. They do family friendly candy making at Easter and Christmas too!!

Were always happy with the quality of Van Otis products -- my company has shopped here for years and so have I for personal gifts. Definitely the best chocolate around. What totally blew me away this time was how quickly they processed our company holiday order! Our vendor gifts were received so quickly. Nice work Van Otis!

I havent had Van Otis chocolates for years but when I was looking for a wonderful gift for family and friends I chose Van Otis chocolates. They didnt disappoint! Same great taste and flavor. I was very happy that I could order online and get these wonderful chocolates delivered to my door within a couple of days.

A Manchester tradition! In business since the 1940s but has been brought into the present very well by successive generations. You MUST have the Swiss fudge, its their claim to fame and a gifting tradition appropriate to any occasion. Call for special events that include the kids in candy making, they do these events fairly frequently. Prices are what you would expect for top quality and staff are eager to help. Great corporate gift program.

They are known for there Swiss chocolate, well I can see why. Ive never tasted anything so delicious. Very friendly workers, prices are high, but you can expect that when we running is made from scratch with great ingredients.

Back in the day, when two old ladies owned it and even a few year after, the chocolates were the best.I have learned they now outsource some of their chocolates . They changed the designs, no longer use the old ladies molds and changed some (maybe all) centers recipes. My Favorite was black rasp dark chocolate creme filled which I learned are outsourced.Very disappointing what a great chocolate business has become.

I placed the order on 12/8 and I am still waiting for these two boxes to show up! I am only in MA not CA or AK!

Ordered Swiss fudge to be sent to dad on fathers day. They called and asked for a complete address because I left street number off. Great service. Great chocolate. Shipping expensive but dad said he left the box in his truck accidentally and the contents were very well kept from the heat.

I ship this fudge to my family in New England and then to myself in Colorado. It is melt in your mouth delicious every time.

I originally wrote that they had terrible on line service however I received a call and they explained they were closed for the holiday week. I am only giving them a 4 star because they should had noted on their website they were closed week of July forth. Otherwise they are a 5 star

The sweet taste of New Hampshire gift basket was perfect. We give it to a coworker who was visiting from AZ and it had a great selection of food items made in NH. The staff was very friendly when I called and placed the order.

Out of all the NH chocolatiers, Van Otis is definitely the best. And they are my favorite chocolate brand, period. Their jellies and Swiss fudge are out of this world, and everything else is fantastic too. Their store layout is really nice also. They also do fun activities for adults and kids on a regular basis, and have great sales after holidays.

Great local chocolatier, watch during Christmas time for candy cane classes and other interesting events. You might leave with more than you intended.

Delicious chocolate!

Not sure what has happened but the quality is definately not what it once was. The liqour cordials I bought had no coating on the bottom and had gone dry. Swiss fudge was grainy and not even close to the same texture as less then a year ago. Oh and the retailers had no idea about what ingredients they use nor about cocoa percentages and frankly were quite rude.

Not happy with the service I got from the cashier! She could of been more helpful and maybe people would spend more. The parking is horrendous.

Went to buy my marzipan. What can I say, I bought their entire stock about a half hour ago. Just tried one. They are hard as rocks, and barely taste at all. So disappointed. We buy their entire stock every year and they are usually a tad hard and stale, but edible., but this is the worst Ive ever had! This is a box of rocks. So disappointing. I only go here because its close to home and the only place Ive found marzipan. I wont ever go back. Disgusted. Especially with their prices. They charge $5-15 for advent calendars found across the street for $1-3. Same brand, and everything. Disgraceful.

Could not find what I was looking for the one thing I did buy I wound up with the wrong item because it was placed under the incorrect labeling. And the price for the incorrect item I wound up with was rediculous. Not happy at all !

At 9:20 a.m. they didnt have 2lbs of jordan cracker chocolates and the customer service was awful! It is a shame this business used to be so prepared for the holidays.
