Melva the manager should be the standard for how a manager should handle and care for her customers. Great customer service and seems like she’s well respected among her staff.She’s fast and gets you in and out with any of the BS that comes along with renting equipment.This is the spot you want to go to for anything uhaul related.

Customer service is off the charts here. I was needing a last minute hitch installed on my car. Melva Rae not only worked me in with the hitch installer, but helped me call other u-haul offices in the area to get the right parts. Jonny came in on his off day to install due to the urgent nature. They realize that the moving process is already stressful for customers and do their best to make the process smooth. And it shows. Great job!Review edit: Jonny and Melva also located a screw lodged in my tire when they were installing the hitch, so they set me up with a mechanic across the street to fix. Awesome !

Hands down the best experience I’ve had with uhaul. I’ve used you guys multiple times before and this was the best experience I’ve ever had. The manager was very helpful from start to finish while being short staffed. The representative went out of his way to assist putting the trailer on & also some other stuff. They made the experience much better than any I’ve had at other uhaul places. Highly recommend this location

This Uhaul shop is incompetent.On 4/10 I submitted a will wait reservation for hitch installation on Saturday 4/24 at 2 PM. Night of 4/23 I got a call from them saying the part isnt there, so they will call me back to reschedule. As of 1 PM of 4/24, one hour before the appointment, still no call back.I was on hold for 30 minutes to talk to Uhaul corporate, who said this location changed my appointment to a drop-off type the following Tuesday 4/27, WITHOUT telling me.Needless to say I cancelled the appointment and the whole order. If this location lacks this much common sense, how can they be trusted with installation?

Had a breakdown,had to return trailer a day late. The Manasses location was generous enough to give me a free day. Awesome service thank you so much means a lot after very expensive break down!

I order a U-Haul through the share app process which pays for and reserves for a van online. I arrive expecting to pickup the van and I am told just to wave the code near the location. The instructions were not very clear as it made it seem like I had to put in a code into the key box outside. I go inside and the line for the pickup for my code is not for my code. After 40 minutes of figuring out how to pick up my keys, I have to go out back and talk to a cargo manager just to sort out where the keys are. turns out they were sitting in the back for over 40 minutes. When I pickup the van, the odometer is close to empty. Also, when I park the van outside of my house prior to setting out to the location, the battery dies. The roadside assistance takes forever as it took close to an entire day just to get someone to fix it by which time the period of my rental is almost over. Also they try to charge a fee for fixing a vehicle I hadnt used but was defective. I plan on calling my bank and disputing the charge placed with U-haul. I would not recommend this company.

I had made a reservation at another UHaul in the area (Manassas) and when I arrived, I was told that they had moved my reservation to Manassas Park without notifying me, let alone asking if it was alright.When I got to the Manassas Park UHaul they were already helping a lot of other folks, but when they learned of my situation, Melva, Jonnie Ray and Conner were incredibly kind to me - bringing snacks and water and doing everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and well cared for as they worked to help me with my rental quickly.Even though its farther, I know to make my reservations in the future with the Manassas Park Uhaul in the future. Good on you, guys!

I had ordered and set up an appointment for a hitch install. They did not have it delivered and in stock on the day of my appointment - 25 miles each way for me - kicker was no one called to inform me that the delivery was late. The office assured me that they would call me back when they had it in stock. They called me back after the hitch was delivered to the office and set up another date/time for an appointment. On the day of the appointment, I called into ensure everything was in place - instead the office informed me that the installer did not come in/work on the day of the appointment, which they set up. Again, a simple phone call to inform me would have sufficed - failed both times.

Excellent customer service - polite and friendly. Purchased hitch and installation online. Arrived at my appointment on time - hitch installed in a hour while waiting. I only wish theres a seating area for waiting customers, but given the current pandemic situation, its understandable. I highly recommend this place if you are thinking about having a hitch installed to your vehicle.

I was really surprised about how awesome the whole team was here today. I came in this morning and they squeezed me in despite my movers backing out. I came back in the afternoon and Leo and the other guys were able to secure a truck for me last minute, and were very courteous and helpful. I can’t thank the whole crew here enough for being the least stressful part about moving day!

Easy interaction customer service. The vehicle had no issue. Required some adjustments post after-hours dropoff. Called next morning, a lady got everything taken care of over the phone in excellent manner.

Don’t believe them when they say they have a 100% buy back guarantee. They suggested I buy a moving kit. I ended up only needing a few of the boxes. Now they won’t take any of the rest of the kit back so I’m stuck with $40 of supplies I don’t need.

Unbelievable convenience and service! I called U-Haul at 3, made an appointment at the U-Haul on Centerville Road in Manassas, Virginia for 6, and had a new hitch, bicycle rack, and cargo rack all ready by 7. Plus this was the first time I’ve ever done anything like this. Amazingly efficient and painless! I highly recommend U-Haul and this location for trailer hitch installations :-)

At first I was a little anxious, had it not been for Nick this would be a very different review. He made things simple and reassured me he was making sure everything was perfect. He was very genuine and didnt treat me like my questions and concerns were an annoyance. I was important and a priority to him and I appreciate and admire that work ethic. Nick thank you so much!

Original appointment with UHaul of Manassas Park (off of Hwy 28) was delayed by half an hour. They did call and notify me of a delay installing a customers hitch so I didn’t have to wait when I arrived. Incredibly friendly staff and the manager of this facility is outstanding and goes out of her way to take care of customers. I highly recommend this location because the manager will insure any issues are resolved and that you leave happy. If only other companies had a manager like her! If there for mechanical installations, allow extra time for unexpected vehicle installation issues.

Really great service here! Had no problems with staff and especially Cynthia! She was able to help me move into a storage unit and answered all my questions fairly easily. I give this place a 5/5 ! And I look forward to recommending this place to all my friends and family. I stayed for about 45 minutes while Cynthia listened calmly and patiently to all my questions, I have had one of the best uhaul experiences here at this location

These guys are excellent. I hate moving (down to the last drop of my blood) but these guys made it easier for me on their part. I got my truck without any delays. I would definitely recommend this place.Also they offered me a great price on truck hitch cover that I couldnt just pass.

Ive rented here four or five times in the last three years. Exceptional facility. Good price and equipment far above normal U-Haul bargain standards. Everything doesnt always go perfectly but excellent employees always do what they can to make it right.

Absolutely amazing. Melva Rae helped me get the truck I needed as well as provided me with some of, if not the best, customer service interaction I have ever had. Would DEFINITELY go back, and will be recommending this store to everyone that needs to move in the area.

Equipment is not being checked prior to rent out at this big service center. Trailer wiring was shorted and they tried to blame the problem on my truck. Roadside assistance refused to provide service. I had to prove the trailer was bad. No replacements. They offer a worthless guarantee but who else is in the business?

Overall I had great service here from Pedro, but one of the employees, Cynthia, was extremely rude and condescending. I willfully admitted that I was using the trailer rental to pick up a riding mower, and she was instantly hostile with me-- implying that I would somehow damage her trailer in moving the mower, and that the trailers were really only meant for couches (?).Im not really sure what else you would rent and use a trailer for except to move that type of equipment. This bad review is for you, Cynthia. Congrats on being the worst customer-service oriented employee of all time.

Awesome service from the team at this uHaul location. The management cares about the service she offers and goes above and beyond to help customers. I accidentially locked my keys in my vehicle and they even helped me get back into my truck. They also helped me with electrical issues with my hitch lighting. If you need to move and need to rent a truck or trailer, check out this Manassas location!

Horrible experience/customer service I will NEVER use them ever again. I will tell everyone I know to look elsewhere.Not only was an employee extremely rude, condescending, and unprofessional so was the manager. I don’t even know how they are still employed. If anyone is even thinking of using uhaul I would consider going to JK Moving, Able moving, My Guys Moving.....anyone else other than Uhaul!

Why do you guys hire someone with no experience in how to treat customers ?! I went in there today at about 1:20ish for the first time ever Ive never had any experience with Uhaul . When walking in I saw a white man with glasses I later found out he is the assistant manager . Next to him was a taller guy really nice he greeted us and started helping us out . We went in because my boyfriend needed a trailer to move his truck to a mechanic shop . The young gentleman was nice but kept having a little bit of trouble we didnt mind . I instantly noticed the white man was being rude when the young man asked for help and the way he talked to us also . We were finally done and it was time to load the trailer . We go outside and the young man was loading it . It took about half an hour or more to load it we finally got it going . We get home (we only live like 5 minutes away ) and notice the truck was not going to fit so we go back to return the trailer . We get there and park in the front and go inside to let them know were done but I also had a question . I literally just walk in and the white man with glasses says we saw you coming, theyll meet you outside and help you and I said Ok we go outside and see another young man and I guess Im going to have to ask him my question . I asked if theres any way to get a refund since we literally only had it for 30 minutes or less and he said hes going to ask . He comes back and says no and I ask why he said because the assistant manager said no because we had it for longer than an hour and half . So I ask if I could speak to him and he says its the white man with glasses . I go inside to talk to him and they let him know that we want to talk about it . Keep in mind this whole time he is so rude and not helpful at all . I ask is there anyway to get a refund and he said no why should you ? I said because we only had it for like 30 minutes . Is there a policy on returns or anything that can help us get a refund ... he quickly says no I dont care if you took it for 5 minutes or five hours you cant get a refund and I do not know what else to say i was in shock of how rude he was . I would of understood if he said no Im sorry I cant give you a refund because of what ever reason . I am NEVER coming back to uhaul and I will call again on Monday to see if the manager is there . I have never experienced such bad customer service .
