So i made an appointment with Gordon for four new tires 4 days in advance. when i get there today at 2 and after taking time off from work he tells me he can’t do my tires today. What kind of service is this? He obviously overbooked or gave walk ins service. What a joke.

Awesome store with great customer service. Came in 3 times on separate occasions because of tire issues. They were able to fit me in and fix my tire (nails and screws) same day, without an appointment. Very friendly and would come back anytime I have any tire issue!!! On top, they did it for free! Really lucky to live so close to a store with great product and great service. Thanks!!!

The website is not to be trusted.Yesterday we picked out tires for the car, set up an appointment (with selected tires) and did not find out that they did not have the tires in stock until the appointment in 230 today.People at the store are nice enough but knowing before hand would have been better.Call first so you don’t waste your time.

People working at the computer front desk of this Goodyear location are unprofessional, inconsiderate, and untrustworthy. I had a scheduled appointment for some repair work at 10AM and there wasnt anyone being present at the desk. Ive been waiting for over half an hour without seeing anyone. I went outside to speak with one the repair mechanics and he said to me: You have to wait. When he finally came in he said: you need a new battery, 4 tires, and so on. I said sir youre probably looking at the wrong vehicle, because I was told on Tuesday that I need oil change and someone has to run a check on the vehicle to find out why the engine light is on. He then replied asking: if you already know whats wrong with your car why do you come here? Go somewhere else, man and he called next, while I stand waiting for service. I then left with my vehicle. I will never recommend anyone to that particular Goodyear location.

Just want to tell everyone I do NOT recommend the Goodyear on Eastern Ave. We’ve had terrible communication & service from them the past couple weeks. Full transparent story ahead:We made an appointment to check out a tire leak, and see if it could be repaired or definitely need replaced, they took 5+ hours to tell us we needed the tire replaced and they couldn’t patch it. Also, we elected to include a general inspection on our appointment, which they apparently didnt do at all (?) They did mention off-handedly that our “brakes were making noise” and they would check it out next time. We ordered new tires online and returned the following weekend to get them installed. Again, they did not do the general inspection we asked for, and we had to go out of our way to ask if they even looked at the breaks. They said “Oh yeah you need 4 new rotors.” Which if course is about $700, and we were already paying about that much for 4 new tires, so we chose to worry about that service another day, BUT THEY ALMOST DIDN’T TELL US which is pretty major. (While driving I could tell there was something wrong with the breaks.)Anyway, when we picked up the car with the new tires, we noticed one of the tire bolts was missing. Turns out they forgot to tell us they broke one and couldn’t replace it, in fact they had ordered a new one already (?) and we needed to come back a third time to get it installed. They soft recommended that we make an appointment to have the bolt installed, but we weren’t sure what day/time we could show up. That was a few days ago, and we went in today, and apparently they returned the bolt to their supplier since we werent able to confirm a specific appointment time. We had no idea that was even possible, otherwise we definitely would’ve made an appointment. We are giving them one more chance and returning next Saturday to get the bolt installed for free (which is definitely nice of them.) But I’m about at the end of my rope with their terrible communication.I suppose the actual “service” has been mostly fine but damn dude you’d they they’d know how to talk to customers and give them the information they need. Would Not recommend them.UPDATE/EDIT: Since my original post above, they have called us and rectified this situation. I really appreciate the care and compassion the owner took to call us and discuss everything that happened. Apparently, the inspection is required on every vehicle that goes to them (which we did not know, since we thought we checked a box that said we are electing for an inspection.) Apparently, they dont typically share the official inspection results paper, nor do they typically verbally confirm they performed it at all. So, when they said breaks making noise that was apparently the result of the inspection they did indeed perform. They were easily able to replace the missing tire bolt, and since they come in sets of 5 they actually gave us the rest of the pack even though we only needed 1, very generous. Since we were unhappy, they also offered a free oil change which we gratefully accepted. And, the owner said he would speak with the front desk folks who did not communicate well with us. Were really pleased they went out of their way to make it right with us. Thanks Goodyear.

Absolutely terrible service.. I called to set up an appt for 4 new tires and and alignment.. gentleman on the phone told me about two days for the parts to come in and then they would call me to let me know if they could do the service all on one day(Wednesday or Thursday), I call Thursday to see the updates on the parts only to be told that I apparently missed the appointment already and it was for two tires? So I clarify to the gentleman(Devin) that it wasn’t a set appointment I was waiting on a call back.(The first gentleman took down my phone number and name) Only to be told I was wrong and refused to take accountability..I corrected the amount of tires which was 4 and discussed the total amount once again and set up the next appt for Saturday @ 11AM. After arriving @ 11AM on Saturday the same man (Devin) tells me that it was @ 10AM and for only two tires..Confused again I tell him that we had agreed on 11AM and it was for 4 tires in which his reply is “Why would I book you for 11 when I already have somebody booked”. Devin had the most unprofessional remarks and audacity to lie to my face and not take any accountability for himself or his employees considering he is the Assitant GM. An absolute horrible experience the never likes of which I never dealt with. I wasted time but thankfully not my money as I am now hearing about how lackluster their customer service and overall service is. Absolute pathetic establishment.

Goodyear on Eastern Ave. Malden. I had been a customer for 14 years! These people committed to calling me once my oil was changed and not only did they NOT call me leaving me stranded for work the next day, they left my car UNLOCKED in their parking lot!!! They called me the next day to go pay for it!! When I asked what exactly I was paying for the older man that works there (Gordon) told me to just take it and dont come back. AS IF!!!!! it was NEVER AN OPTION!!!!! Not after the abysmal customer service, lack of professionalism and complete display of irresponsible behavior on their part!

ETA 5/10: After working with the regional manager Brian Page, who followed up with me promptly, explained the system upgrade situation, and offered to amend the situation with me, I am amending the review. I want to know that I went to the Somerville location after speaking with Brian, so my review stands for my experience at this location. I am quite reasonable and understanding of tech upgrades and challenges, especially in these times, but I hope the team at this location will work on their customer service skills.You know the service is bad at a place when the amount of service is NONE. Booked an appointment through Goodyears website for same day, arrive at location before appointment time and am told they wont take me. Not because they arent connected the online system, they just will not take same day bookings from online.No apologies for the system being that way (a known issue), no recommendations for next steps or when they might be available, extremely rude and telling me to get lost.Dont come unless if you want to waste your time.

Needed a set of tires. They asked my driving habits and found the right tires. I was given an appointment and was told installation with alignment, etc. would take about 2.5 hours. I was greeted on time, updated regularly with a few options, and was on my way home in under 3 hours. Very pleasant and professional crew from front desk to mechanics.

Just went in for my regular full synthetic oil change and it was done wicked quick. I recommend making appointments ahead of time over the phone, so much easier to get in and out! They also have a little waiting area with a TV, magazines, a few windows into the garage if you want to see your car being serviced... and the necessity, a bathroom. Its always pleasant dealing with the staff, and even though Im only there every few months for an oil change or tire rotation, they remember me by name! It might also be my big bright blue car.

The worst place ever I went for my car service. I dropped my car for oil change. The customer service man told me it may take 2 hrs to perform the service. I left my car @ 2:50 pm. He took my number and told me either come after 2hrs or he will call me when done. I just wait expecting his call, but I never get any call until 6:30pm. When I checked their website, I found out they are closing soon(7:00pm). I went to the store around 6:40pm, sadly I discovered that they did not do the oil change. Another man told me that they never get a chance to make the service. Horrible place to be and people are disrespectful. They never care about your precious time.

Good customer service. I made an online order for a new tire and installation that I paid for ahead of time. They were unable to find the order despite calling me morning of to move my appointment to a different time. Ended up paying for a new tire and requesting a refund on the order order, but they waived installation fee and were clearly trying to make it right. Waited two and half days for my one tire to get fixed offered to pay for the tire so it’ll get done faster and got told the appointments (that are paying ) come first and get done first so I’m confused you can’t charge me because it’s a policy but the other appointments that are paying come first ? shouldn’t have to wait two days next time I’ll take my business else where seeing how my business isn’t as important as other people’s . totally understand being short staffed but I shouldn’t be told to pick my tire up one day and two days later it still not done and then be told I can take my tire back and go somewhere else to fix it after already waiting 2 days

Got an oil change today and the employee behind the desk that was checking me, I felt was standoffish and inattentive. Before I had given him my car keys for the oils change, he was talking to softly that I couldnt understand a word he said so I had asked him to repeat himself which made me feel unpleasant. However, The two mechanics were friendly and was much easier to interact with.

Edit:Was able to work with the store manager to get a timely fix for my car. Customer service was great!After going to Good Year for the past year for oil changes due to needing certified technicians for my warranty, one of the Technicians stripped one of the lug nuts on one of my tires. I replaced my breaks with my father a month before and tightened the nuts by hand on my car myself with no issues. The manager stated the nut was over-torqued (mind you I weigh all of 135lbs) and they couldnt remove it with their electric air ratchets. The whole nut is now completely stripped and unable to be removed with conventional methods.

I visited good year malden for a routine alignment, i asked them to also check if my tires were good or was it time for replacing them, I was informed by store manager Dennis that my cart tires need replacement and was provided with relevant data points( which was very helpful), I got a great deal on nice good year tires and the drive feels amazing. I spent almost $4,000 dollars on my vans repairs, I left my car at the store for the repairs, it stayed there for 1 day. After that I went to go pick my van up. None of the cars problems were fixed, everything was the same. I told them about this but they still took the 3.8k. After a few weeks I made another appointment at 1 PM, I arrive at 12:45 PM but they told me to wait, after 2 hours of waiting it was 2:45. They finally checked the van and he said come back again tomorrow morning. I went tomorrow and dropped my van again for repairs, but they barely fixed everything and my Vans problems were the same. Please dont go there for repairs, this place is only good for checking your cars tire pressure.

My husband went by on a Saturday for an oil change and they said the wait would be over an hour but he could make an appointment for the next day. He made one, showed up on time, and they said it was still a half hour wait. It then took them another half hour to actually change the oil. Next time we are going back to Valvoline where the whole thing is over in 15 minutes. You get what you pay for I guess, but what a waste of an hour if my lovely Sunday afternoon.

Been a customer for this location for a few times, but no more. My recommendation is avoid this place if you can. The service and pricing may be good at certain times.However, the attitude of the staff working there are not acceptable. I dont usually point out a specific person for complaint, but the guy called Mike is unacceptably rude and sarcastic. Im not saying other guys are good either, but he stands out. There is no friendliness or courtesy. Only person who has been friendly is maybe a manager or owner, but other than him, the staffs have a confronting attitude and impatient. I have been to numerous car repair shops, but this stands out.

This is probably one of the worst places I’ve ever gone to, to get my oil changed. Dropped my car off at 9:45 in the morning, and the man “Anthony” told me 2 hours or so until I got my car back. At 2pm I still had not gotten my car back so I called, he said my car would be in next and he would call after it was done. I never received a call. I went in at 5:30 to see if my car was done and he was very rude and argumentative, he never apologized for the wait, and said oh I said a couple hours. No, you said 2 hours. Offered 4$ off, oh what a steal. I’ll never return. Awful customer service, wait and disrespect to the wife of an army soldier.

I just want to know if i need to order the caliper also.I have already ordered both rear brakes pad. I always bought my car parts myself and pay for the labor. Paul is such a great man. He is the manager of this Goodyear. My boyfriend and I traveled down from PA when our cars check engine light came on. We were worried we wouldnt be able to make it in time to the store because we were in Peabody, MA and because most stores are not open on weekends and if they are arent open long. Paul came outside looked at our car and helped us out. He even said if anything were to happen to come out and see him the next day. We are so thankful to have encountered such a genuinely kind man. I went there for a simple headlight bulb replacement on my left headlight, I waited for three hours, watching them try to get bulb in. Three workers were trying to figure out how to get the bulb in. I watched through the window. When I went home my right headlight went out., and my left headlight was also out. I left my car there the entire day. Picked it up and the next day the entire headlight assembly was completely off the car. Went to dealer, the dealer informed me that both harness and clips were completely damaged and it would cost me over seven hundred dollars to replace both entire headlights. Went back again to Goodyear. Manager said I will order parts and repair both, lie, called me saying it was prior damage from someone else, really, I never had my headlights fall out before!! He didn’t order parts, said I’ll get top mechanic to fix them. Lol. When I went to pick up my car, I noticed both headlights were so lose, manager said, they are suppose to be a little lose, lmao, I’m not stupid, now my headlights shut off when I go over a bump. I learned my lesson never take a volkeswagon beetle to any one but the dealer, it cost me close to eight hundred dollars to fix the damage they did to my car. Stay far far away from this place, please you don’t want the cost they give you by damaging your vehicle.
