Nice little store conveniently located. Lady who works there has always been extremely helpful and pleasant. Each time we visit, she has taken an interest in our selections and shows us other things that are similar that we might like. Every recommendation has been spot on. I am confused by other reviews that have had negative experiences with her.I rated 4 stars instead of 5 due to the very limited hours and the somewhat limited variety of things available.

The store has many expired and expiring products. This is the second tome we had such experience from this store. When we tell them something is expiring they don’t respond well. If you are shoping here please double check the expiry date.

Clean and organized. Vegetables are usually very fresh. I frequent this store over other Indian groceries in the area because of these reasons.

I was looking for something less than one star but unfortunately I can’t give that here, the owner (lady) should really learn how to talk to customers i asked her something about returning a product on which she yelled at me in front of the entire store which she could have responded politely in a better way, this is what happens when uneducated people come behind the register.This is no way to talk to customers I am never going back to this disgusting store.PLEASE DO A CRASH COURSE ON HOW TO TALK WITH CUSTOMERS.

Everything was nicely arranged..lady helped me a lott as I was in hurry and was new to the shop..it was little bit pricey as compared to Milwaukee stores but worth it.

Jammed nearly floor to ceiling with nearly every delicacy you can imagine and undoubtedly a few you never heard of. Very friendly people, too. Highly recommended.

Worst experience ever with the so called FRESH vegetables.Purchased vegetables on Saturday for $40...As per owner, Friday is when she gets fresh veg. When we cut them the same day all of them;re spoiled. When we called and informed the same, the harsh lady owner was like I am not responsibleNever going back to this place. Bombay bazar uncle is far better than this aunty. Atleast Bombay bazar acknowledges issue.

Lady owner is very rude & doesn’t know how to talk. Such people should banned from doing any kind of business and their store liscence should be suspended I saw her insulting and yelling at a customer who politely asked a question

This grocery store has delivered every time. The owner is always very nice and gives great advice when I ask her questions. It has really broadened my cooking and expanded my pantry. If you are unfamiliar with Indian cuisine, I can recommend this grocery story as your doorway to delicious cooking!

Some authentic products not found at other Indian stores. However, beware and read expiry dates on the labels correctly - especially the muruku variety. Many of the products are expired - and sold months after the “sell by” date. The lady owner is nice but the moment you tell her that the products are expired, she gets defensive and points to the sign saying “returns not accepted”. I am sure they are breaking the law by selling expired goods. Hoping a food safety inspector will read this review and conduct a raid on this place.

Folks please be aware this shop sells all kinds of expired products and the owner says as per law they can sell expired food products which consumers can still consume as it’s their own responsibility with arrogant answers. Iam going to call food law to report this on his shop and hence suggesting all to avoid shopping here if you can’t please be aware and check every produce for its expiry prop paying for it as they don’t even accept returns without arguing.

Namaste India grocery store in Madison has only expired products with them. They are not conducting this business responsibly. They sell expired product to consumers and don’t accept the products back. They deny to pay back your money and talk rudely. They say don’t care about consumers health and are only here to make money!!!! They don’t even fear law!!!

Always friendly, helpful in this clean, bright and well organized store. I go every week for my Indian cooking staples, fresh veg and snacks and come away each week with new insight into South Indian home cooking. Thank you!

High prices and expired products.. I went to purchase a rice bag and it is listed as 21.99 and when billed they charged me 24.99. When asked about justification, they say listed prices are old prices.Second instance: Purchased a snacks and biscuits for a party. I realized when serving that all the products are expired 6 months ago. This is ridiculous and what happens if it is consumed by Kids !!

Great place to get Indian groceries and has great staff!

I usually don’t write reviews. But wanted to let the management know that the customer service is really poor. The lady inside doesn’t have patience and clear doesn’t know how to talk to customers.

The lady at the store has a rude and arrogant tone. When I couldnt find something in the store I was looking for and asked for help, she responded in an inflated and commanding voice.

Stocked really well and very friendly owners. Delivery available if the order is for more than 50$.

Their home made Idly/dosa batter and yogurts are the best.They get fresh Indian vegetables every week and they are the best in Madison.

Vegetables are fresh and reasonably priced. Wide variety of groceries are available and they are well oragnized.

Be careful when you buy there. They charged me 3 extra items and i am missing few things that i paid for. When you ask, they will tell you its us who might have left things in our car or maybe it fell down. They will rip you and you wont even know it if you dont look carefully.

Nice place to get all indian grocery items

I first learned of namaste from my indian cooking teacher from Madison College. They are very helpful and inexpensive. The best place to buy spices! Dont miss the great selection of quick frozen indian dinners.

This is a fantastic little grocery store that has anything you could need for indian cooking. They make their own yogurt and dosa batter and the owner Jyotthi will take time with you to help you figure out how to make what youre trying to. They get fresh produce on Fridays and Jyotthi makes fresh samosas on Friday nights. If you are new to Indian cooking they are very helpful and gracious.

Thought it was a good place but I was shocked when she charged me extra than the actual price tag for most the products when I checked the receipt .. never gonna go on that place . You lost one customer ... namaste India sucks...

They sell expired product. I found bornvita which was expired and they put sticker with new date. When I asked they said they got like this from dealer. When I asked him to throw they removed in front of me but when second day i checked I found same product at same place.
