July 18🍦🍨🍦I scream, you scream .. we all scream for ice cream.Double Turtle- 2 scoops of ice cream topped with hot fudge, hot caramel, glazed pecans, whipped cream, & a cherry!!! It was heavenly.An outing at the Terrace is incomplete without Babcock ice cream. Yummy goodness in a bowl. Fabulous ice cream.My favorites are the orange custard chocolate chip, blue moon, mango sherbet and the blueberry swirl. Be patient and wait for the best ice cream. Worth the wait in line!!

Its a delicious place for ice cream lovers ! Varieties of flavors and choices available.More to it, the ice creams are made locally by the universitys own dairy and from the cows grown in its own farm !!Its located in the heart and main attraction of the University - memorial union !Being located next to the Lake Mendota and to an open Pavilion (also has plenty of comfortable sofa seating in-house), its perfect place to relax and enjoy the ice cream.

Pro tip: You must try the Daily Scoop (ice cream shop) I understand they made their own ice cream with some unusual flavors. I forgot what I ordered, but remember it was really goooooood ;-)

Came here on a Saturday afternoon, quite a few people around, lots of flavors! Ended up getting a single scoop (which is huge!) of salted caramel toffee, and the ice cream was really creamy and smooth although it was super sweet. For the price, its absolutely worth it!

I am gonna leave Madison next month, but this ice cream will always be my sweet memory.

Some of the best ice cream Ive had. The strawberry is excellent and has chunks of strawberries in it. Service is also pretty fast even when there is a line!

Had the Bec-key lime pie on a waffle cone and it tasted exactly how you want it to. The swirls of graham cracker crust really take it to the next level. Perfect summer treat

Daily scoop has some pretty good ice cream and the location is great! I sat by the lake and ate my ice cream. The only reason I gave 4 stars because the lady at the counter was not too friendly!

Stopping at the Daily Scoop is my familys incentive and reward for walking down State Street and back. We all love Babcock Ice Cream and this is a nice place to get it. We like getting our cones and sitting on the Terrace before walking back down State Street to our car. The staff has always been great (different whenever were there) and the quality of ice cream is always top notch. Yum!

First time I have ever liked the flavors I tasted so much that I ordered both. 😀I always like to taste a couple of new flavors whenever I get ice cream, but more often than not, I fall back to old favorites. My daughter had said I needed to try the Orange Chocolate Chip and the Bec-Key Lime Pie also caught my eye. Both were so good I had to get a scoop of each! Very creamy and tasty and the scoops were so large I thought for a second the young lady had misunderstood and was giving me two of the first flavor. I took one for the team and struggled through and finished both though. 😀It was an extra bonus to be able to take it back out on the Terrace and enjoy them on a beautiful evening!

The service was fast and friendly! But for me the ice cream was too sweet. I think chocolate shoppe is better.

The location is beautiful, but the person serving ice cream does not know any rules about hygiene. She served ice cream with her hands and arms dirty and covered in ice cream. Also she would touch money and the cash register, and then she would go back and touch the cones without washing her hands or wearing gloves.

Ice cream couldnt get any tastier. Size of the scoops, however, could be more generous. Not worth the value if every scoop I pay for is a baby scoop.

BAD customer service. i specifically asked for a hot brownie sundae AND 2 scoops of blue moon. they thought i wanted a hot brownie sundae WITH blue moon. who would want that and then they thought it was my mistake and started using a rude attitude and tone towards me. never going here again!!!

The staff are usually friendly and efficient, and the price is reasonable for a cone or cup of your favorite flavor.Mine is the chocolate and peanut butter. This flavor seems to be hard to get at the grocery store, but the Babcock version of it they serve at the Daily Scoop is the best Ive ever eaten. It is the perfect blend of chocolate sweetness with that slight hint of the saltiness of the peanut butter. Nothing better on a hot summer day.
