Avery from General Heating came to do a maintenance check on a Carrier Infinity system, both furnace and AC, that was installed two years ago. We have had no problems with the system. He was personable, willing to describe what he was doing, advise me on routine filter change and water panel change that I could do myself and inspired confidence in his ability and the quality of our HVAC system.

The technician called to let us know when he was arriving. He listen well as I was describing potential issues. He went about his work efficiently and pleasantly. After completing the servicing of the outdoor AC equipment, he indicated that all systems were working well and returned our thermostat to its original setting before he left. Overall an excellent experience!

Annual maintenance on 6 year old Carrier high efficiency furnace and AC done. Tech arrived on time, wore a mask inside and outside the home and was especially helpful as he replaced all condensate and humidifier drain lines without asking (I had intended to request changing but forgot). Don was extremely thorough. He found a problem with the furnace, explained the issue in a way I could easily understand, and gave me options for how to proceed. He was courteous and personable, and he masked up while in our home. We have been using General for years, and will continue to do so!

Previous home owners had used General Heating & Air Conditioning to replace the furnace. Since we moved in 2018, General has been our go to for service because they were also regularly maintaining the homes HVAC equipment for years. Today we had our annual furnace and ac inspection and maintenance performed by General Heating. Technician was very thorough and explained the maintenance process answering my questions. I appreciated some of the suggestions made. Technician noted a potential problem with an a/c capacitor which we replaced to avoid a problem sometime down the road. Another very positive experience involving this particular business.

My furnace died overnight, I called in the morning and they were at my house just after 1pm. The problem was diagnosed quickly and fixed within an hour and a half. The person on the phone and the repair man were both very kind and professional. For less than $150 I had a functioning furnace again! It is 26 years old and likely on its last legs, I will certainly use General to replace it when the time comes!

I called General Heating & Air Conditioning this morning as my furnace was making a new noise and it needed an annual servicing. They responded promptly and had their service expert, Nick, here before noon. Nick was able to quickly identify and efficiently fix the issue. I plan to recommend this company to my family and friends.

About a month ago I called General Heating to check my AC unit. Not only did they misdiagnose the problem, they told me I needed a new AC unit. Believing them I asked for a quote, 8 days later I received a call from the supervisor. Meanwhile I called Leading Edge from Fitchburg. While evaluating the problem he checked the unit. A half hour later it was working perfect and saved me $2400 to $3000. Leading Edge has my business and be careful with General Heating.

What I was impressed with most was that the technician was able to come a little earlier than the set appointment, which had our heater working and us warm again that much sooner. It was lucky we were home too. However, my husband didnt think the problem was the filter, but the technician replaced it anyway, which cost us a little more. Im just glad we had heat again!

Furnace dies after work, house cooling by the hour. Called the number, instantly connected with a reseptionist. Got a call from the tech less than 5 minutes later. Walked me through the simple homeowner not doing his job possibilities then said he would be over in 30 minutes . Over in 30 minutes he quickly found the problem plus another that while not critical probably would have cost me another overtime change before the winter is over (its only January!). Replaced what we needed and arranged a call back on the better due part all for a decent price given the time. Could not be happier! The tech was understanding and friendly, put up with my dogs trying to escort him everywhere - very nice gentleman! Again, I could not be happier!Follow up on the part to be replaced later. They found the part - called me and confirmed my desire to have it replaced before they ordered it. We arranged for a Monday morning install. The tech was here on time with the part (again got to put up with the dogs) and while the install did not go without issues (the furnace is a bit older) he was done in an hour and a half. All things considered, for a furnace failure in Jan/Feb this went about as good as I could hope for! Thanks again!

Our furnace went out on a Friday night and General Air was able to send a technician immediately on Saturday morning. Our technician was knowledgeable and fixed what was needed to get us back up and running, and advised we get our annual service for the rest so that we were not charged more overtime. We were able to get a technician to come right away during weekday hours for our regular annual maintenance and Heather helped us. She was punctual, professional, and knowledgable. Thank you!
