We were looking for a comfortable chair but knew ver little about what we needed. Connie spent as much time as we needed to explain and help us find the best fit for us. We never felt rushed, or pressured. By the time we had looked at the best possibilities for us, we were totally satisfied with the chairs we selected; they were a perfect fit but we would never have found our perfect chairs without expert sales assistance. . We would come back to Century House again if we need more furniture.

Wanted to return a product, they wanted to charge me 40% of the value in ‘restocking’ fees, on top of delivery. Wow! I would not mind paying myself the delivery to send back the product, but 40% of restocking fees for an unused product… really? Better say ‘no return policy’!!

We had a great experience with Kathy at Century House. She took a lot of time with us, deciding on our purchases. Her warm and friendly personality was refreshing, both during and after the sale. We will look for her help again, in any future purchases. While it was hard to wait several months for our Stressless and Fjords chairs to be specially made to order, it was well worth the wait! They are both just beautiful and comfy beyond expectation

The Century House is a special place for me since I was a child. My parents furniture came from this store. I inherited many pieces but this was my first purchase. I bought a cherry table made in Vermont thats just perfect. Love the color, style and finish - and the size is perfect for my kitchen. I found chairs that I loved from Denmark and they were custom made with white leather and teak structure. They are perfect, as well. Such quality and so comfortable. I live in Sussex, Wisconsin, and the pieces were delivered and set up without a scratch! What more could you ask for! Im so excited to have more Century House additions to our home! Thank you for still being incredible after all these years.

I bought a HAG Capisco chair here. I had a ton of back pain, so I set up an appointment to finally splurge on a nice office chair. The sales rep took the time to walk me through their selection showing me all the features and listening to what I liked and didn’t like. Eventually they placed me in the Capisco after some of the feedback I gave, and it was the perfect fit. I’ve had this chair at home for one day now, and I couldn’t be more happy. It improved my posture substantially. Couldn’t recommend the people here more. When I picked up my chair, they even loaded it into my car for me.It’s expensive furniture, but you absolutely get what you pay for, and the service is great too.I’ll be back for my next home office purchase. I worked with Kathy Martin at Century House in Madison. She was extremely helpful and ordered an InCanto Sectional for our new home. We received the sectional, it was delivered on time by wonderful workers and it is exactly what I ordered. Beautiful.

I love Century House and Kathy Martin was amazing. Shopping during a pandemic is not easy, however, Kathy was so helpful. I provided pictures and a floor plan of our house. From that, Kathy pulled 25-30 swatches and then helped us to choose the perfect color for the sofa. We also purchased a table and chairs, side table and a TV console. Kathy coordinated everything so now we have a cohesive and cosy home. Thank you, Kathy. And thank you to the delivery people who did an outstanding job.

We ordered during the COVID-19 safer at home rules. Started corresponding online, then talked over the phone. Set up an appointment to go check out a chair. We were the only one in the store. They followed all safety rules. Our salesperson, Kathy is very knowledgeable and helped us pick out the perfect one. We did a no contact pickup for delivery. Very easy. We will work with Century House again for sure.

Youll be greeted warmly with an offer for assistance, but if you just want to browse, there will be no pressure. Our family worked with Kathy and she helped us develop a vision for the space we had and how to fulfill it. Every time we visited the store, we felt like Kathy really cared about how happy we would be in the long run. What began as shopping for a pair of recliners ended up being a more extensive creative experience and we are very happy with our beautiful new living space!

Friendly service. However, if you are looking for an ergonomic Herman Miller chair do not buy one from this store. Order it from Herman Millers online store which will give you a 30 day return policy in case the chair is a bad fit. I wish I knew that before buying because these chairs are not cheap and finding a good office chair is important.

Connie was wonderful to work with. She was very patient while we tried to decide which sectional to purchase. It also took quite a while to decide on the configuration to fit our living room. Also color selection was quite time consuming on our part. Connie wanted to make sure we would be happy with all our decisions. My husband and I couldn’t be happier. My wife and I saw a sleeper/sofa we really wanted to purchase but were not sure if the sofa would fit through various hallways and into the room. Sales associate took the time and shared hallway/room dimensions with their delivery team to assure us they could make it happen and the sofa would fit, which it did. Great store, quality products and wonderful people to work with!

I couldn’t have had a better experience working with Tobin at Century House during the building of our retirement home. There was a great deal of collaboration involved with Tobin from the beginning design concepts to the end when our furniture was delivered. It was a pleasure doing business with Century House and I highly recommend them in bringing your design vision to life!

I never write reviews, but this buying experience was that far out of the ordinary....We live in Virginia, frustrated with poor customer service at local furniture stores, we found Century House on the web which sold a Fjord’s chair we were interested in. I called the number on the website, Connie answered, she was very well versed on Fjord’s furniture and took the time to answer all my questions and provided additional information i would have never thought to ask about. We ordered and Connie made the process efficient, simple and easy. In this day and age of customer service not being a priority from retailers, Century House flips the script with classic mid western hospitality. Highly recommend, ask for Connie!

It started well, Connie was very knowledgeable, we ordered 3 pieces. The quick ship and drop ship were extremely confusing but Connie made an extra effort to explain patiently. I was less patient.All together a good experience with Century. We look forward to our chosen new furniture pieces.

We really like our new recliner sofa sleeper. Unlike most sleepers, its lightweight and easy to move and maneuver. Typical of the innovative products that Century House offers. Also had terrific service from your delivery team - they not only moved the sleeper easily down our tight basement staircase, they were nice enough to move a ping pong table (that has been sitting uselessly in my garage) down that same tight staircase. Bravo!

Super helpful staff that will tell you all about their merchandise. If they have it in stock you can purchase it right away and take it home. Theyll even help you load it into your vehicle. Lots of chairs and tables to look at. The chairs come in a variety of colors, shapes, and styles. They are so comfortable!

I agree with other reviews that they sell beautiful furniture. Unlike other reviews, however, our experience with customer service has been awful. We paid over $3K for a storage bed that developed a squeaking problem within the first month. They (i.e. the manager Jacob) made numerous attempts at fixing the issue but the noise kept coming back after each fix. At their most recent visit they changed their tune and tried to distance themselves from any responsibility. They said, and I pretty much quote, that: (i) the noise seems like a different problem and therefore is out of warranty (the noise is identical to before), (ii) the bed has been moved (it was them who had moved it, with a $150 fee), (iii) other people besides me had slept on it (yes they said this), (iv) the way I was generating the noise was improper use of the bed (I was pushing on the bed with my knee, just to demonstrate), (v) the bed has moving parts therefore some noise is to be expected (yes they said this as well).They added that theyre still, and I quote, willing to take a look at it. When I asked them to leave my house as response, they acted surprised and claimed I was refusing their offer for help.I caution all shoppers to be aware of the risk theyd be taking if they choose to buy a substantial item from this store. The above is only a fraction of the issues Ive had with them; others include damaged walls during installation, and a general tendency to be evasive whenever they are made aware of a problem.

This may be my favorite place on earth. Dont make me decide between the Gift Shop and the Furniture stores though, its neck-and-neck. Full disclosure - Im an ex-employee, and I think it says a lot about how special this company is. Locally owned and thoughtfully curated, theres no other place like it, and I hope it stays around another 100+ years.

The Century House rocks. I was looking for a Tivoli Model One BT Radio. I had looked everywhere and this item was on 3 month backorder every place I looked. I reached out to TCH and was fortunate enough to be connected with Katy. The radio was also on 3 month backorder there. At that point I figured it was time to just order the radio and wait. Once I did Katy kept me up to date with my order every step of the way. When I emailed her to inquire about it her reply was always prompt. I had even moved after I ordered the radio and Katy took the proper steps to ensure it was delivered to my correct address. The Century House is outstanding. I would not hesitate to order from them anytime. If I wasnt married I would ask Katy to marry me.
