Went in today to look at furniture. The front doors were open (it was nice out). In the 10 mins I was there I didnt see any sign of life. No salesmen, no receptionist, as far as I know I was the only person in the store! The majority of the sofas and love seats were on their side and didnt have prices on them. I was definitely interested in a few pieces but without knowing the price, being able to sit in them, or having someone there to ask these questions to, how am I supposed to buy anything?
Visited the store on June 11th was kindly greeted by store representative Amy. She asked if she could be of some assistance as we looked over some showroom pieces, she was very helpful in finding out prices and whether or not the pieces we were interested in was available. She helped pull a rug down from the hanging area to put in front of a couch that we were interested in purchasing just so our vision could come true and we could see if the rug would really work for what we wanted to do in our new home. Once Travis (store manager) came over to assist, it was on from there. He found us GREAT PRICES! GREAT PIECES! And EVERYTHING we wanted plus more!!! We were able to get a full bedroom set plus couch, rug and a few decor pieces for a very low rate (spent less then $6,000). He helped us out with delivery/ installment, price, etc. We found this store by simply google searching small businesses in the area, seeing as though my partner and I are not from Alabama. And this was better then any big time store front and A LOT MORE reasonable for our budget! Highly recommend stopping in and seeing Travis and the staff, talk to him about your vision for home and possible budget and watch him work some magic!!! Will be back for more pieces and a few NICE comfort pillows!!

Awesome pricing! Great financing deal. Only paid 39 dollars to take my furniture home. Ask for Travis. He was completely helpful and very friendly. Would recommend this place and Travis to anyone. I found them on Facebook market place in which Travis was very responsive and drove an hour to them to and left 100 percent satisfied.
Quick service I got everything I wanted. I didn’t have to worry about timeframe of receiving what I bought like other surrounding places which is something I really appreciated. Definitely recommend!
Very horrible! Went to buy my self a white queen bed and it took them more then 3 months to do anything about the bed. I saw that the order was taking too long so I canceled it. Wouldn’t recommend!

This store is absolutely unprofessional. I placed an order in October 2020 and chose the 100 day option to pay for my merchandise. However, I was done paying within 1-2 months with payments being made every week. I did not receive my furniture and this being the 4th month from completing my purchase. I called and traveled to the store time after time. Manager was never there. I met over 5 different receptions at the desk on his behalf stating he was not there so they could not give me information on when my furniture was to be shipped. Each time there was a different person who stated they was a new employee and couldn’t give me any further details(high turn over rate)! Each time I was told to leave my name and number and didn’t receive any call backs. When I did finally meet manager( the person who completed my purchase) again in store. I was told they ordered the wrong color bedroom set and it would take another 6-8 weeks to correct it. After 6-8 weeks always placing calls on my order( no received updates) no furniture. I then asked for a refund but was told no refund. However I received my sectional in February and was given a area rug for the inconvenience but no bedroom set. I waited the time again no bedroom set. I called and demanded my furniture and was given two days to receive it due to manufacturer delay. However I received my bedroom set the end of April and was sent the wrong bed. I was sent a used king bed frame and used mattress twin box spring. (which I purchased mattress and box spring separately for $500). The Cali king was $1,299. I called to correct the issue and was told to keep the bedroom set for the time being and I will receive the correct one in another 6-8 weeks. At this time I grew tired of waiting and asked for a refund and paperwork stating the issue. The store manager agreed that I could pick it up next day. I traveled there but again manager was not there and was told to come the following day when he would be in. I decided to call to avoid a false trip. I finally was able to speak with manager and was told he has no paper work me the $150 was for hospitality and he will not give me the price of the king bedroom set and threatened to call the authorities if I didn’t leave. I was overcharged and did not receive the correct refund. Please do not placed orders here they are scammers and prices vary. The will charge you any price they feel is convenient for them. Do your research on the prices of merchandise there. Please price match so this will not happen to you!!! They are a second hand furniture store now offering no credit checks to sell you furniture at there own desired price range. The bottom of the agreement reads NO Refunds At Any Time After the Purchase of Sale Ted’s Hotbuys/Mattress Reserves the right to Correct Mathematical Errors in Pricing and/or Computations. PLEASE Read bottom of agreement before purchasing from this store! I also was told I had to take this issue up with store owner. I asked for his contact and was told to look it up on Hotbuys.com in info and send a message. I asked what was the owner name and he stated Hotbuys. This second hand store is a joke it doesn’t deserve one star!
The staff is kind and courteous! They are willing to help you in every possible way! I bought some furniture for there sister store on south parkway which closed down before I could get my furniture and Gerald and his staff went out of their way to help me get my furniture! I would recommend them to anyone! They are great people!

There is no 100% guarantee that you would receive items nor will it be deliver in a timely manner. Then, it is hard to get awhole of the owner to obtain FULL refund without a 30% restocking fee ... If I could give this store -5 stars, I would. My husband and I ordered a grey table and 6 chairs from here on October 6th. A man named CT completed the order. I paid $1,464.00 with my credit card. I was told that I would get a call and that what I purchased would be delivered to my new home within 2-4 weeks. It has been almost three months and I havent even got so much as a call. If I would have known it would take this long, I wouldn’t have ordered. My father, my husband, and I have been to the store over 5 times and each time the associates lie to me about the status of the furniture. Theyre completely clueless and rude. They wont even make eye contact with me at this point. I have been very patient and understanding up until this point, but now Im peeved.The customer service that I have received has been horrible and completely unprofessional. Now that’s just half of why I’m upset. After two and a half months, I requested a refund. They can take your money in store, but for some reason they can’t refund you your money in store. I was told to email and after almost a week and a half I still haven’t heard anything. The texting service on the website is rubbish as they stopped texting me back when I asked for a refund! Bad business and I guess I’ll have to sue them to get my hard earned money back. Do not purchase furniture from here! They’re over priced anyway!
I saw the furniture that I liked when I walked in the store. I brought it had good customer service from the gentlemen that worked there. I would definitely shop there again.

I bought a sectional couch in April and paid for delivery. I called multiple times and was given the run around every time. Asked for the manager.... surprise! He is never there. So I had to go to the store where a young man claimed to be the regional manager. My things were delivered a week later but only half my couch was delivered. Yes, HALF MY COUCH.So today (7.29.2020) I am calling again. Again I get the run around now they are saying that it will be another 6 weeks. With no reason, no explanation, no manager, nothing.Unprofessional, dont have no customer service skills, untrust worthy and never knows what is going on but a manager or any one that does is never in the building.Please do not waste your time or money here. Its not worth the headache.

I purchase a bedroom set with Hot buys furniture June 26th is when I started making payments to have it on layaway and which is the day my night stand was suppose to be ordered because you guys didn’t have it at the store. I paid the full amount on my bedroom set on August 12th everything was delivered August 15th EXCEPT the nightstand. It’s now have been 2 months after call after call they have given me the run around and I still haven’t received a nightstand,a refund on the nightstand or a call with updates on the nightstand know one has not gotten back to me about anything. I just would like my refund back on the nightstand I already brought in my sales order so you could print it off. Could you please get back with me. This really makes it hard for me to continue to shop with you because of the lack of communication. Very unprofessional

Went here with a friend looking at furniture and saw some nice pieces. We were quoted prices for a kitchen table set for $499 but online that same table set is $309 went back to the store and they tried to say the SKU numbers were different. After several employees looked at the # it’s the same number. The owner has disappeared and the only way you can contact him is through email but don’t get a response. Sam the owner son said my friend couldn’t cancel the order, mind you, she hasn’t received any of the items. This business is composed of SCAM artist and the staff doesn’t know how to do anything by themselves. Every time you ask the do boys (Staff) they have to call Sam at home because they don’t know what to do. If you try calling the store the ringer is off so you’ll have to go to the store. They don’t want to cancel your order whether you have received the furniture or not. We’re going to the news, police, BBB & the Mayor to make sure people know that HOT BUYS FURNITURE is a HOT MESS and are scam artist. If we could give them a -0 stars we would.

TL:DR Avoid at all costs!We first went to Hot Buys in FEBRUARY this year to get a new couch. The salesman said they had a good deal going where we could get a nice discount and free delivery/assembly if we purchased more. We decided it might be a good time to upgrade our bed as well so we ended up with a bedroom set, sectional, and then a headboard and frame for our guest room. When it came time to check out we did not get as deep a discount as the salesman said, when we started to trim down our order the discount started reappearing, might just be a miscommunication with the salesman and manager. Anyway, we didnt need the new furniture until June when our house finished so we scheduled delivery and address when we checked out.I received a phone call late MARCH saying that our order is ready for delivery. I informed them that we could not take it until June, like we discussed. Early JUNE I call in to remind them that we could take delivery at the end of the month and was told that there is no way they could have our furniture by the end of the month. They blamed the backorder on the pandemic, which could make sense if we didnt order and they tried to deliver before the shut downs started. Anyway we got the sectional delivered in mid-JULY, just the sectional, nothing else. At the end of AUGUST we finally got our bedframe, end tables, a mirror for the dresser, and the headboard for the guest room. Two weeks later in SEPTEMBER we got the dresser for the mirror and they delivered some metal rails for the guest room. The rails didnt attach to the headboard and we were assured it would be made right. Knowing how janky they had behaved in the past we called every week to get the right head board or rails delivered. We talked with drivers, different store managers, a district manager, and the original salesman. It was always going to take a week for them to get the correct rails in. I finally told them just come pick the headboard and rails up I was done with waiting on them. Still couldnt get anything to happen. Today (OCTOBER) I returned the headboard and rails and called my credit card company to dispute the charge.Some additional details beside the timeline; when they first dropped off the headboard they tried to convince us we ordered a full and not a queen, quickly reversed when we asked for a refund. Additionally they tried to convince us we ordered only a headboard and not the whole frame, luckily we had our order form and showed them exactly what we ordered, asking for a refund was the only way for them to agree that we did order everything on our form. We didnt get free delivery because we ordered so much stuff, directly condratictory to what we were told when we purchased. They rarely answer the phone and never call you back when you leave a message or note. They grumped about wearing a mask when making their many deliveries. Our new bedframe, the returned headboard, and the dresser all had scratches upon delivery. One of the drawers jammed and broke on its first use.
Do not waste you time or money. Youll be lied to and will not receive your furniture for ar least 60 days!!!!!!!! Customer service is terrible. No one calls to give you updates. They couldnt even find my paperwork, how?! Just run. To the managers dont bother replying because all of you know my experience was a nightmare (Ive talked to all three people that work there for 2 months) Never again

It took a month to deliver my furniture. Then they brought the wrong set. The couch is electric and they didnt giVe me cords and the love seat is not electric and is suppose to be and the back is broke on the couch. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

On May 5th they delivered in boxes set them in the garage and left, they said i didnt pay for setup but the receipt has delivery and set up charges. I will never buy from them again. Next time I will pay a little more if I have to for better service. You get what you pay for.
