Love Vom Fass, whenever I am in town I stop in and load up. Friendly service, great products, and not over priced. Their customer service for our of town is wonderful as well. Always super helpful and items arrive well packed without a chance of breaking.

Professional, knowledgeable and effervescent salesperson approached, welcomed and answered every query. I was offered to sample anything. I did try an absinthe. Theres an entire other half of the store selling oils and spices, too.

I love this place! It’s not just the great variety of oils, vinegars and spirits; but also great food. We have ordered take out before during the week and it was fantastic. The holiday meals; not only taste good, but also have a lot of food. I honestly think the chef is one of the best in Madison right now.

The selection in this store is AMAZING!! Everything I have purchases has been of the highest quality. The staff are also very knowledgable - especially if you need suggestions. I also took one of the baking classes. It was so much fun!

We had great speciality dinner at their Delectable dining event. Five courses with wine pairing. During a break between courses we sample a couple of balsamics and speciality whiskeys in the retail area. Ended up buying a whiskey and one of the wines served at dinner. Dinners are leisurely by intent. Food courses and paired wines are fully explained by chef and mixologist.We have attended three dinner events so far in 2020. Each with a different food and wine focus.

Rediscovered Vom Fass recently on a visit to pick up some spices from the place next door. The young man that greeted me was very polite and obviously enjoyed his work as it showed. As I browsed another very knowledgeable staff member greeted me and showed me some options after I vaguely described what I was looking for. She gave me samples of some really good vinegars and oils. I ended up with a classic Sicilian oil and Platinum balsamic vinegar along with a nice chili oil that was smooth and flavorful with a bit of bite on the finish, and a peanut oil that actually tasted like, thats right, peanut! So many great things to try and I am anxiously waiting to get back for some items a little more exotic if you will. While I waited to check out I inquired about the set up they had going in the back. That was new since the last time I visited. The young man happily told me all about DelecTable and the dinner theatre etc. I cannot wait to experience that! I love that kind of stuff. In the meantime they offer take out meals and this Saturday the prime rib has my name all over it!

I love the combination of Vom Fass and DelecTable in the same location! We hosted a private birthday celebration dinner on site and would not hesitate to do it again. The food was amazing and our guests enjoyed partaking in a oil/vinegar/liquor sampling in between courses. Since switching to safer at home due to the pandemic, weve also tremendously enjoyed curbside take home meals (seriously the best prime rib Ive ever had!). The staff are knowledgeable, products, and food are top notch.

Delectable liquids of all shapes and sizes. Oils, vinegars, whiskey, and gifts galore. The cooking area and store are beautifully furnished with oak barrels and earthenware jars.

We attended their Chef Showdown at DelecTable. It was so much fun and the food was absolutely delicious. The banter between the two chefs was fun and the host/owner was delightful. My husband and I agree the only thing that detracted from the evening was the losing chef was so obviously miffed at losing. Be a better sport man.

The lobster cooking class was by far the worst cooking class I have ever had.The lobster was undercooked- and at one point the chef recommended microwaving it.We got little to no lobster on the buffet style serving for an $80 class. Severely dissatisfied.It was a single plate dish that didn’t live up to the expectations. We didn’t even get a whole tail.

I was recently here for a cheese related event and just fell in love with the place. Beautiful space with a wonderful staff. So many delicious fun options... if you can it’s a destination to visit for sure.

We attended a dinner with paired wines. The service was first class and the food was excellent. It was almost like having a four-course meal prepared tableside. By the way, you can lose yourself in the Vom Fass shop! Every kind of exotic liquid, some infused, many natural. Highly recommended.

Excellent, friendly customer service. Convenient location. Diverse and interesting selection of oils, vinegars, and spirits. Prices are a little high, but if you bring your clean bottle back, they will refill it and you dont have to pay the price of another one. They seal the bottles with a cool wax plug, and will wrap it up in tissue paper and string to look very pretty if it is for a unique gift (pesonally, I think anything from Vom Fass would make a perfect housewarming or Mothers Day gift).

Attended the Winter Retreat | Culinary Dinner Theater on Friday and was delighted in the evening. The food dishes were simply delicious and paired very nicely with the wine chosen. It is hard to believe I could find this kind of meal in throes of Wisconsin Winter! The Chef and sommelier are fantastic and greatly added to the magnifcance of the evening. I strongly recommend Vom Fass and will definitely return in the very near future. Excellent, well Done!
