I was a little disappointed with the selection. That being said, the store was clean and easily shopable.

Clean, neatly arranged with very helpful staff and management. I accidentally left my phone in a cart and a clerk remembered me when I checked back with them, found the phone and kept it safe until I was able to return to the store.Feeling very grateful for their caring service personnel.

It has a wide selection of clothing. Lots of jeans and two rows of shirts and half a wall of shoes. Mostly it had alot of everything one could want.

Well. I personally think there are better Goodwills in the area. This one always seems picked through or gets the bottom of the donation barrel. Regular Goodwill shoppers know what I mean.

This location has issues with overflow similarly to the Northside location. The worst overflow Goodwill location is off of Verona Rd next to the Home Depot on the west side of Madison. At the East side location, the figures section, vase, and picture section is not overstocked. The toy section, office/miscellaneous section is. I found one brokem item in the figures section priced at $3.99. It was a stone carved elephant. The books section was very orderly and easy to access. The toy section is chaotic. The backpack/bag area could use some work. They dont seem to have enough hooks for how many bags they have out on the floor. Their prices seem to have increased at this location and the Northside location (as well as in the city of Verona). As a shopper, I wasnt nearly as stressed out shopping at this location as I was shopping at the Northside location. Every Goodwill has its strengths and its weaknesses. The clothes section almost never seems to be an issue, except that you cannot try anything on in any Goodwill store. They did away with the regards program maybe a year ago and now they almost always ask me to chip up - donate more $ to help their organization. They already receive items for free that they sell to earn a profit for their organization. At this point in time, Im rather annoyed by the continual asking of whether Ill chip up. With no rewards program, Im looking to take my business elsewhere (i.e. Agrace, SVDP, and Boomerangs) and/or to the Goodwill store in Waukesha where they have cleaner, more organized stores and a rewards program. You dont remove a rewards program and then continually ask people to chip up. What a bad move. These images are of the toy section at this location, from July 27th, 2020.

Mid-size store. Lots of items but not overwhelming. Discounts on certain colored tags-only on Sun/Mon(?) Senior discount 55+Have to hunt a little for what youre looking for but overall a good store. Also location isnt obvious but my GPS got me there.

Very clean, organized and well stocked. Dressing rooms are clean with good lighting. There are enough dressing rooms so you dont have to wait.

I will always go to a good Goodwill. Helpful donation staff and quick lines to checkout. Nice selection, as well, at least in the mens dept.

Goodwill is Goodwill. My expectations coming in are scraping the bottom of the barrel. Basically the bar is already on the floor. Speaking of floor, so many of the items at this goodwill are on the floor. And the floor is dirty. The toys in particular, are a jumbled mess and scattered on the floor, just waiting for someone to trip over them. The employees here are curious creatures. One of them in particular, stared at the shoes for 20 minutes. Unmoving, just staring at the mess of shoes. The other employee was swearing to herself as she wandered aimlessly about the store. It really makes sense why everything is on the floor after encountering the employees.Old people tend to frequent this location and are incredibly entitled. Never have I had so many individuals touch me and try to move me aside because they wanted to look where I was standing. Covid aside, that is horrifying behavior from anyone.To top off the entire experience, the prices have increased drastically for used donated items and I can no longer justify supporting Goodwill, with competitors being so much cheaper.In addition to the price hikes, I am asked to donate even more money to Goodwills programs when I check out. I can barely fathom paying the ticketed price, Im surly not going to donate and give more money on top of that.

Had nothing better to do while my back was going out, so instead of standing (forever), waiting for a price on 6 folders (dont know what took her so long), I knelt another 3 minutes, some one asked if they could help, and I said no thank you, but maybe the girl that went to get a price was in trouble and needed help. Who knows?

Nice clean thrift store with a great variety.

Clean and well run Goodwill with plenty of product, priced to sell. While clothing makes the bulk of the store, there is a great section of glassware and other household items. Staff is courteous and professional. Parking is a bit cramped but theres always a spot available.

Too expensive, dont test electronics because that way if they dont work they got your money.In reality they dont care, they just want to secure your money; bunch of rip offs you dont get your money back.

Great place to get a good deal. I got a 4 inch ice auger for $7.99 what a great deal. I would definitely incourage everyone check it out and save some money.

(Im giving 3 stars instead of 2 because I am assuming they may be too short staffed.)The store was pretty packed, but that is expected for a Saturday. The womens section for clothing is quite large, and if you want to find womens active wear, youll need to look by the bras and back area by the childrens section. Many of the racks were messy with clothes fallen down to the floor. There were customers who had taken off their masks and were walking around the store despite the masks required sign one can see upon walking in. Some of the clothing also seemed overpriced. I would recommend going to a smaller Goodwill location rather than this one.

Always great to see what treasures can be found at Goodwill. I know they do good as a charity, clothes are always priced well. But most of the other stuff is way over priced! Get with it folks, do you want to unload this junk or what? And there were no towels in the mens room! Ewww!

Large enough place but their prices were ridiculous for what I wanted. A plain black t-shirt for 4 bucks is what Id pay at a craft store for a brand new one.

GreaT variety. NoT tooo maNy people. The carTs haVe wipes close to wash off. They do haVe deViders at the register; but did NoT see aNy spraying after customers. Good deals on MaNy items. Will go again

Handicap parking and a big parking lot. Very clean store. Easy to find items that you are looking for, I was looking for big men items and there was plenty. Open space rooms for the customers to shop post CV19. The employees must wear masks 😷 however customer do not 😡. Other than that its a great store.

Was good found exactly what I was looking for

This is my favorite Goodwill in Madison and I have frequented it for years. It is generally clean and has decent thrift store pricing. During my most recent visit, I got 5 shirts (4 with the 50% off color tag sale) for only $16! I enjoy the ease of moving through the aisles and shopping off the shelves/racks. Fitting rooms are large and I like being able to go in and out of them as I please. Two suggestions I would make is for better lighting in the fitting room and for employees to greet customers.

Quality merchandise at a reasonable price. Stock/inventory continues to move staying fresh.

I love this Goodwill! Its part of a chain of thrift stores in the United States. But this is a nice location. The store is nicely organized by each product that is for sale. The staff is helpful and has always been friendly. We enjoy coming here to browse. My friend and I have found great gently used and sometimes brand new things here. Prices are great!

Always a nice place to shop. Currently the dressing rooms are closed - so be prepared to take stuff home to try them on, and bring them back if need be - for store credit only. No mask required 🙂.

Staff have not been provided PPE from management and I saw another customer verbally abusing and making fun of a worker for wearing his own mask, and management did not help or defend their staff. Goodwill has really gone downhill the past few years but this is the last straw. I will no longer donate or shop here.

A lot of variety at this location. Normally is kinda busy, so expect a small wait when checking out. They seem to have large furniture items often. as well as a large selection of pictures and decor. A lot of clothes. I enjoy their tag sales.

Love this store. Huge selection of everything. Walked out with a dress, work out top, sweater and cashmere wrap for $24 total. Cant beat that anywhere.Easy to drop off items as well with simple round about out front.Usually well staffed and clean. Loads of lighting as well.

I just want to share something awesome I witnessed today. There was a little girl in line buying a book, she was paying with all change and didn’t have enough. The manager (I think the store manager cause she looked like the lady on the pic) came over and swiped her credit card and payed for the girls book and let her keep her change. I already love shopping at this Goodwill because it has totally been revamped in what seems like the last few months, but this small act was really good to see and gave me faith in humanity again. I will continue giving my business to this location!

Worst thrift store. Over priced and bad customer service. I walked around and found a doll skirt and a doll overall for my kids doll. There weren’t any prices on them. I asked the clerk how much for them. She walked and bundled them all together like it was some package and tried to sell them to me at an overpriced amount. I told her I found these separately I just wanted the skirt how much. She said sorry you have to buy them all together. I said that I was the one that found them all separately, now I can’t buy just one of them????? Never going back. Exploits their donations and it’s over priced.

Had several racks of men’s t-shirts. I found a few nice pieces of vintage here. Check out was a bit slow though.

To re-up on last review, Goodwill East Towne has best staff Ive ever seen in any state (that only includes WI, IL, IN, MI, AZ & CA). This staff constantly pushes upward to make shopper experience best it can be. I worked there & know their dedication. If you havent been there yet then you need to go

Price increases have gotten our of control. They even sell many Dollar Store items for $2.00--$3.00. Ive definitely noticed items stay on the shelves longer because of the increased prices.

I love this Goodwill. I am from up North and Madison prices compared to the prices here in Wisc. Rapids and Plover/Stevens Point area are phenomenal. I wont shop goodwill around here and make the hour and half trip just for goodwill. Love it!

Had a nice selection and quality of items overall was fine. HOWEVER the clothing was utterly unorganized. I shopped in the babies, kids, and womens clothing sections and found so many pieces that were completely in the wrong size section and frequwntly even in the wrong department entirely. Like at least 80% were in the wrong place. For the price, they really shouldnt expect people to have to dig around to find the right sizes. I love goodwill and thrift stores in general so this was disappointing to see.

Big store. large selection. unfortunately they do not have the same rewards program that Milwaukee stores have. And they also dont do the same promos, like 25% off when u spend $25 or more on the 15th of each month.

Prices are much too high. Love the half off colored tags, but please switch the 2 days to Sat/Sun again!!!!! Or, better yet, to Wed/Thurs.

I stopped into this store earlier this week. I used to work in retail so I am trying to be sympathetic but I would say this is one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. After spending about 20 minutes looking through the racks, I had an arm full of garments that I wanted to try on so I headed over to the dressing rooms. There was a girl about 19 I would say (didnt catch her name) who was hanging things up on a rolling rack. I greeted her and asked her if I can just go right into any room. (Before I continue let me say that I have been working in all sorts of customer service for over 6 years so I am very polite and friendly especially when it comes to speaking with someone else who works in customer service.) She responded with a disrespectful, sassy attitude and said I dont know, youll have to figure it out for yourself. I brushed it off and opened the door closest to me and looked inside to see that there were heaps of clothes all over the place. So I went into the one next to that and again it was filled with clothes to the point where I didnt even have anywhere to set my purse except for the floor. I was so disgusted with the attitude and unkept dressing rooms that I immediately left without making a purchase. I am posting this in hopes that management at this store will take notice and make changes.

This is a very large store. They have a lot of electronics here and the prices are reasonable. They do tend to put things out though, that would probably have been better off being recycled.They are still a Goodwill brand store, and as such, HiFi gear and antique tube type electronics are a bit over priced, but I have yet to see obscene prices on this type of gear. $99.99 for a very high end stereo once was the most I saw.Very large selection of clothing and household items.This is a high traffic store, because of this fact it is not always the most organized place, but the prices are still good. Just expect it to be busy and perhaps not all organized.

I couldnt find what I was looking for

Pretty fairly priced merchandise. Friendly staff and always happy to help out. Parking can be a bit cumbersome, but acceptable.

I love shopping here this goodwill always has something for me, was very happy with what i found today. but the clothes were ridiculously sorted. im a size 2 in pants, i went to look at the size 2 pants thinking wow! they have a lot here but there were maybe 10 pairs of size 2 pants. the rest were everywhere from a size 8 to a 24 and its honestly kind of ridiculous. goodwill is a store that i can trust to be organized, and usually this location doesnt fail me. i have been here many times but right now finding anything in my size was a nightmare. staff was all very nice but they arent good at organizing clothes!!!

They are very pricey. Out of the 3 I go to I would say they are about double. They also dont check they product before taking in. Today I seen a roach.

Thrift store doesnt help community like saint Vincent de Paul does. Only puts mentally disabled people to work in their stores.

They have the clothes arranged by Small Medium Large. Pants usually are a number size so its hard to shop for them here.
