Thank you so much for existing! Your lemon bars (when in season) are some of the most yummy things Ive ever had!Today I had one of your pumpkin bars (my husband drove two hours to Madison to surprise me with them!), and they too, were absolutely delicious!Cant wait to try the chocolate croissant tomorrow morning!
It was ok. The coffee was not great. I was really rather disappointed by it. Now I cant speak for the chocolate and other treats they create. But tons of people came in to get some, so I must assume that they are good. Ive also been told that they have the best miel in town. So try that. The inside area was also way too small. Definitely not designed to be a place where you can go to study. Parking was also tight and cramped, but thats mostly due to the fact that a huge truck is hard to park in most places.
Megan was awesome to work with as she helped me with my wedding favors. The 2 box favor has a beautiful logo and even a sheet that explains the chocolate. These were perfect for guests as they were just the right amount of chocolate. I would recommend to use Madison Chocolates for wedding favors to anyone as they were good to work with, delivered on time, and offer a quality wedding favor.
This is one of my favorite places to go! They have good coffee, great bakery (all gluten free!), and tons of other wonderful things to eat and look at! Their chocolates are so good! Ghost pepper lattes? Amazing! Plus I can’t stop eating their entire selection of scones. Super cute place, and would recommend a visit!
Lots of cute gift stuff inside. Chocolate is pricey! Vanilla bean latte was *very* sweet, but had good flavor. Outdoor seating was available too.
The chocolate is good. If you like sweet coffee drinks, this place is also the best coffee shop in town.
Love! Although I feel the selection of chocolates werent as much as I hoped I think this place was amazing! First time for us visiting and it was a win! Their chocolate is yummy and my golly the coffee is amazing! I am an avid coffee lover and got the sea salt caramel iced. So delicious! And I also see they serve food to. Definitely a win in my books
Chocolate and coffee shop - great combo. I got a couple of Ghost Pepper Caramels - I was thinking it might be too hot but it was a subtle heat that was well accented by the chocolates and caramel flavors. Also got some berry bark which was fantastic. Topped it all off with an orange mocha. Not sweet, hint of orange - perfection. Really nice staff and shop. I will visit again.
Really great latte, house made Carmel in the latte was so delicious and of great quality. Friendly staff and cute place!
Cute little boutique for unique chocolate from around the world. The single origin ganache is a lovely indulgence.
This café is delightful. Cozy atmosphere, great jazz Playlist and the employees there were incredibly cordial and very helpful in explaining the different assortments of chocolates and coffees. I had a latte which was surprisingly good. Extremely smooth with fruity and foral accents at the end.The Turkish coffee chocolate is a great blend of coffee, spice and chocolate. The star anise does not overpower the rest of the chocolate and the crunch of the coffee bits compliment the buttery smooth texture of the ganache-like chocolate inside. The mini caramel turtle was not too thick in texture and had a satisfying salty accent and struck a nice balance with the crunchy pecan on top.5/5 would come back again. Cant imagine cafes get much better than this here in Madison.
This is a decadent treat I cant help but give in to! I love when my boss has me run an errand here! I love to pretend that I wont give in and get a ghost pepper latte this time, but I always do. They are just too fantastic to pass up. The only reason I cant get one every time is that they are a little expensive for a latte in Madison. The staff is super helpful and patient when I place a weird or large order. I love this place. It is in a weird spot in Madison, but I think that gives it a little bit of neighborhood charm.
Consistently delicious drinks and incredible waffles on the weekends. Highly recommend!
Amazing chocolate and the ghost pepper caramel is the best invention ever
Best Valentines gift ever! The chocolate is amazing!!! I love supporting local business, and Madison Chocolate Company does not disappoint. The Passion fruit truffle was one of the most decadent things I have ever tasted. The salted caramel was also amazing, I had to hide the box from my kids so they wouldnt steal any, and I could enjoy the chocolates in my own time.
What a place, what a place!I didnt even care about prices, as the products were such quality, decor so artistic, and people so friendly.Had several chocolates, with my favorite being the Earl Grey dark chocolate and Dark Chocolate Betwixed bar. Also enjoyed the signature latte selection, with home made flavors.Everything is quality here.
Lots of good options. I always like the medium dark chocolate with coffee ground in until its all smooth.
This is a great shop and the best chocolate shop in the area in my opinion. Why? They not only make their own stunning original confections, they also are the only place in town with such an amazing selection of single origin bar chocolates. Im so happy we finally have a place in Madison to buy that kind of chocolate. The coffee is also really good, hot chocolate is stunning and they have Jenis ice cream... Were lucky to have this shop.
My absolute favorite chocolate shop! Raspberry cardamom truffle and Rose mocha my go to favorites! Believe It! So many awesome chocolate bars from all over the world too! Believe It! Every sip of their espresso drinks with one of their homemade truffles is like nectar of the Gods!
Best gluten-free waffles and other amazing options. Highly recommend.
Love their ghost pepper caramel iced lattes and GF pecan bars.
I called ahead. I had a very specific idea of what I wanted: a dense chocolate cake that would make me feel twice my weight by the time I got to bed. The employee told me he knew exactly what I wanted and that they didn’t have that exactly I went by anyway and got one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Five stars for sincere service and a genuine desire to make my 20-minute weeknight date a special, memorable experience.
My favorite place for a sweet treat! Everything is delicious and decadent. My go-to for gifts as well
Everything in the store is gluten free which is awesome for anyone with celiac or gluten sensitivity!
Yum amazing local business with delicious creative treats that are all gluten free!
The house hot chocolate is delicious! I am pretty picky about hot chocolate and I was blown away by how good theirs was. I will definitely be back for more and I cant wait to try more of their truffles and chocolates. Great staff too! I would definitely recommend going here if you are a chocolate lover like myself.
Best chocolate ever! Be sure to try out the liquid salted caramel :) Great service as well and adorable interior design.
Most delicious latte and scone Ive ever had. Also, theyre doing a great job with COVID precautions. They have a one-way traffic flow for ordering inside, and they have turned two of the parking spots into a charming patio with a shade covering and well-spaced cafe tables for two.
This shop has a lovely and inviting atmosphere; there are places to sit or you can take your goodies to go. Megan Hile, the owner, talked with us about how some of the chocolates were made while we were making our chocolate selections, which was really great. Freshly made chocolates in the case – all of the ones we tried were delicious! Parking in the back was easily accessible. Highly recommend giving this place a visit!
The blueberry gluten-free scone was amazing and still warm from the oven. Lovely warm, friendly, clean restaurant with a little outdoor seating that overlooks the pond. Very charming.
Such a quaint shop with a wide variety of chocolates! Also, the best London Fog Ive had in Madison. I am super excited about the passion fruit caramel; delicious!
I drive 40 minutes to have their hot chocolate and any of their pastries because they are all excellent. The turtle brownie is amazing if you like a very rich chocolate treat. Also, dont forget to try their chocolate caramels and truffles! The shop is set up very COVID safe. Jean Maddrell
Good coffe
Totally gluten free and wonderful!
One of the best places to eat chocolate. the staff very friendly
This place is AMAZING! Picked up a combo of their chocolate and a few bakery items and everything was SO good. The Twix bar was to die for and the scones are some of the best Ive ever had. Totally going back here every chance I have!
Great products! Great service!
Madison Chocolate Company is super friendly, kind and make the most amazing treats. We are never disappointed with anything we pick up or order from them.
Our favorite neighborhood go-to: coffee, treats, weekend waffles - they got it all. Charming as hell space and friendly workers to boot!
Cute little coffee shop now with delicious expanded weekend menu with Waffles! Chocolates are interesting pairs of spice, savory and sweet. Be sure to try ghost pepper caramel--NOT as spicy as you would think and a nice creamy caramel that melts in your mouth!Sea salt caramel latte is a MUST with oat milk. Its a great place to get gifts to take back or to say thank you.
Wonderful food and coffees!
I stopped and got the best iced latte of my life at this quaint little chocolate shoppe and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful and unique chocolates I got!! The owner Bridget is a real peach stop in and see her smiling face!
We came for lunch on a Saturday. Two of us got the spinach and mushroom quiche, another got the ham and cheese waffle. The waffle was huge and covered in shredded Swiss cheese and slices of ham. The quiche was thick and tasty, with a flakey crust. The best thing though was the coconut and chocolate scone. It was amazing!
Always a joy to visit. Delicious bakery and chocolate!
Delicious chocolate but the GF scone was by far the best I’ve had in Madison!
Lovely spot overlooking Wingra. Vintage look. Nice chocolate selection! I had coffee and a blueberry hand pie. Very good . They have daily quiche. Really cute little spot.
I came home one day, and my wife wanted me to try a gluten free brownie. I said Ill pass. I tend to not like gluten free sweets. She promised me I would like it. She was so wrong... I LOVED it. They are the best brownies on this planet. They also have very good chocolate chip cookies.
The sign outside said Awesome Waffles; let me tell you that was an understatement. My daughter and I came upon this place by accident because of a shortage of time. What a treasure. I was doubly rewarded that all there bakery items are gluten free. My daughter had a waffle and I had a hand pie. It was so delicious, I simply had to get another hand pie to save for another day. We bought some chocolates too. Cutely decorated and super scrumptious. I really hope people take my words to heart and go in search of this little peace of heaven whenever they are in the Madison area.
Thanks for the stellar service Charlie and Darwin!
The place is in a great location, easy to find and has its own parking area! As for the chocolates, they are absolutely phenomenal! Very high quality ingredients are used in each piece of chocolate and all chocolates are gluten free :) The flavors in the chocolates can vary and yet, match beautifully such as passion fruit, ghost peppers, bourbon, among others. Excellent!
A strong chocolate game with some equally great coffee. Havent had a single disappointing bite here, and there are some tasty looking vegan options. The entire facility is gluten free.Edit: Have finished the 16 piece set (give me one of everything in the case) and will stand by my earlier statement - not a single disappointing bite, everything was fantastic. The Blueberry Basil was especially memorable.
Madison Chocolate Company is fantastic. I work next door and visit 5 days a week for my morning coffee. MCC utilizes a local Madison coffee roaster (Kin Kin) for their quality and responsibly sourced coffee beans. Oh and should I mention the chocolate!? It is the best in town, the state, and beyond! Ive also utilized MCC for gifts (chocolate, coffee, hot chocolate mix, nice cards, etc.) and everyone is always delighted with what they receive.
Honestly this is the best cup of coffee in Madison. A welcome relief from the dark roast enablers that mob the Madison 3rd wave coffee scene. And then there is chocolate....
The chocolate is amazing. But the it’s the speciality coffee that I love. Real ingredients. The way coffee should be.
Very nice little Shop. Kin kin coffee and by far the best ganache drink in Madison. Chocolates are definitely worth the hype and the price. Truly a craft for the owners and makers. Beautiful decor, but the store is a quick in and out versus a cozy stay a while. This place will make valentines day an easy choice.
The only place in the area that carries Jenis ice creams! Also, the chocolates surprise me every time with how good they are. The liquid caramels may not sound as exciting as some of the other flavors, but they are So. Good. Also, they have a chocolate library wall with a bunch of super fancy bars. The parking lot can be a little tight, but at least they have a lot.
Great little chocolate shop, a great addition to this neighborhood. Chocolates are high quality and the price reflects that. Dont expect cheap chocolate. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful with questions. Lovely for handcrafted gift giving.. the receivers may not share the goods! but they sure appreciate it. Go get your chocolate on!
Great great place. The hot chocolate is good perhaps the best I have had in the city.
Really interesting and artisanal chocolates. Make a box or grab some craft chocolate bars to go. They also have coffee and a couple tables to relax. Their chocolates are really delicious. Cant wait to go back. I avoided the spot for awhile due to its odd location & construction. Dont make my mistake; check it out! Theyve got off road parking in the back.
Great chocolate here. The owner Megan is great about getting her baking perfect. The coffee is high quality here, and at a much more reasonable temperature than the scalding hot cup you get down the street.
Delicious Gluten free waffles, a little gem with a cute coffee shop atmosphere!
Love this place! Really great for those with gluten allergies! The hot chocolate is so rich and delicious, and a personal favorite is the ghost pepper caramel chocolates.
We got two waffles, a travel mug coffee refill, and two tiny cups of hot chocolate. The bill came to $26 -$28. A bit pricey. I know the waffles were $8 each, but didnt look at the cost of the other items. It seems like the cost if the other stuff must be in line with other coffee shops in the area.It was not at all busy, there were several empty tables, nevertheless it took almost a half hour for two waffles to come out if the kitchen. They were very good waffles, but if average size, and with no toppings (I didnt opt for them). A half hour to produce two waffles and put some syrup and butter into small cups seems excessively slow. The location is not great due to parking, and the place is very small. There are some interesting looking chocolate items in the case, but given the other options in the area, nothing on this first visit was compelling enough to make this a place I go to regularly.
I attended their truffle making class and had an absolutely fabulous time! I would highly recommend, and I plan on coming back.
Cute shop with an array of local products and excellent chocolates. Went to their free mini drink event and was able to try something I wouldnt normally, a rose mocha. It was quite good. There is parking in the back.
Excellent mint mocha and a mouth-watering variety of chocolates. Staff was very pleasant.
Excellent waffles. Chocolate sauce was amazing. Good espresso. The miel is also tasty.
All of the chocolates are soooooo tasty. They offer some unique choices and every one I have tried is delicious.
Expensive, but so amazingly worth it. Their salted caramel truffles are better than any Ive ever had. Also a lovely little tea and coffee shop. Owner and staff are very friendly.
Delicious waffle and mocha! Plus free chocolate samples. I will be back for more.
I was looking for a specific type of candy WITH peanuts and called a few local chocolate shops. One said Well have that in 2 weeks. One said We have a peanut candy, but its spicy and not my first choice. Madison Chocolate Company said, Ooh, we have a Peanut Butter Chew-Chew that people are going nuts over! The drive there was almost as enjoyable as the atmosphere, all windy roads near the arboretum, and I LOVED the covered off-street parking! Thats a HUGE bonus for me because I like to run errands with my dogs and leave the sun roof open for them. The service was excellent. The decor has a cozy yet airy, comfortable-with-a dash-of-whimsical vibe that made me wish I couldve stayed longer. Ill definitely be bringing my bestie and hubby here for a coffee & dessert outing.
Thank you for having a gluten free shop with home made sweets. Such a great treat to be able to offer my children (and myself).
Delicious coffee and chocolate. Who could ask for more?
So yummy. Great for gifts. Very cute Spring/Easter selections
When I stopped in for hot chocolate and realized there were no tons available, one of the fine M.C.C. employees went back and made some for me on the spot. The folks there go above and beyond to ensure customers leave happy. Also, the hot chocolate was/is delicious and I highly recommend it (and the handmade Twix bars - YESSSSSSS!)
Their Ghost Pepper Caramel is my favorite latte Ive found! Awesome chocolates as well, and a cozy atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!
Great service. Wonderful chocolate and coffee. Really cozy, comfortable atmosphere. I love relaxing here in the morning.
My favorite chocolate shop in Madison. A little bit smaller selection than other chocolate shops, but the customer service is outstanding. I keep wanting to go back
I basically live here now. Friendly staff, great sweets, AMAZING breakfast sandwich!
First, the staff is so friendly, there is one girl in particular that is so very sweet and helpful.Second, that ghost pepper latte, I dont even like coffee (especially not lattes), but that is so tasty. What kind of witchcraft is this?? Its perfectly spicy and smooth.Lastly, the chocolate! So fresh tasting. Great variety available everytime, and really solid flavor that doesnt disappoint. As a former chocolatier, I approve.Oh yeah and theyre open late. Perfect for after a wine tasting/after dinner.
Excellent chocolates! Unique cards and gifts. One of my local favorites❤
Place for different kinds of chocolates, they were delicious, kind of expensive. you also get coffee. over all its a nice place to hangout.
Omg their hand made chocolates are the most unique and delicious confections Ive ever had! I strongly suggest the London Chew, the Cheddar Chew, or any of their caramels. Did I mention their cold brew? Its brewed with cocao nibs to give it a depth that Ive never experienced in coffee before. Also super nice staff.
If you are looking for amazing chocolate, and a fabulous atmosphere this is the place to stop. It is one of my favorite places to stop for a treat.
The chocolate covered strawberries were awesome!
Local shop with convenient parking right in back
Stopped in for a hot chocolate and it was great! Will visit again and try a sandwich- they looked good.
Wonderful atmosphere, excellent chocolate and coffee and the woman working behind the counter was very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be back!
Amazing selection, kind staff, and its so cool you can watch the chocolate beung made
Best gluten-free pastries, love the waffles, the chocolates and the friendly staff.
The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely try the drinking chocolate! ;)
