Chris was great! He was not your typical pushy salesman, trying to get every dollar he could out of you. He was very friendly and showed us all our options before trying to get us settled on a plan. I knew I needed to upgrade my phone but didn’t know to which one. Dylan clearly explained the differences between the iPhone 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro max. (I already knew I was only interested in iPhones) without being condescending or pressuring me on any particular model. Once I selected the phone I wanted, he worked with me to ensure everything from my old transferred over. We chatted while we waited and Dylan was very friendly and personable.

I purchased an iPhone 7 back in May 2018. I was given some free accessories which included a mobile hotspot. I am now realizing 3 years later that I have been charged monthly payments for having that hotspot on my line. That sums up to about $550. Shame on me for not realizing this earlier and shame on Verizon for this practice.
The process was quick and easy! I went in one day and pre-ordered my new iPhone 13 Pro, and went and set it up the same week. Not only was it quick and easy, but Dillon’s customer service at Verizon Authorized Retailer was excellent!
Went in two establish a 2 phone plan with my cousin and upgrade our phones. He had an old flip phone and we are both boomers. Dylan was very informative, patient, and he had a great sense of humor.
The staff (Dillon) was incredibly knowledgeable about the products and helpful. He made it easy and straight forward, and was friendly as we chatted through the process. Really excellent.

I reached out online support and they didn’t answer my questions, it felt very one sided . It’s disappointing because I heard good things but the service I got online was bad. Will not be returning

I went into the store to get a new iphone with an upgrade I had. As part of the upgrade I was told that I would be receiving a promo for a FREE Apple Watch (series 6 with cellular) with purchase of my phone ($530 value). My watches have been flying off the shelf because this is such a good deal. It seemed too good to be true but I was ensured this would be free and I would just have to pay for the sales tax on the watch. There was no paper work I could review to ensure the deal I was being promised was legitimate.Two weeks later and I realize that this was simply not the case. The free watch I was promised was really a promo for $150 off my watch, and I would still have to pay $380 for a watch I had never even needed in the first place - not including almost $60 in fees. Being a young student going to this store by myself, I feel extremely taken advantage of from this store and the worker, Dylan, who sold me the watch. This feels very predatory and extremely messed up to tell someone youre getting a free watch when that promo doesnt even exist. He further sold me a bundle package with screen protecter that had a $500 warranty, if you break your screen they send you a check for $500, - failing to mention you have to pay $80 for this coverage and it is not included with purchase.Very disappointed with my service at this store and from Verizon. Watch out if you go to this campus store alone as a student - you may get taken advantage of.

Ordered a phone through Verizons official online website on Monday morning, selecting the same-day in-store pickup option for this location. My experience has been awful.The Verizon website told me that I would receive and email when my phone was ready. By 7 p.m., I still hadnt received an email, so I called them and was told that my phone would be ready in 15 minutes.I showed up 15 minutes later and my phone was still not ready. After staying in the store for another 15 minutes, I was told that there was only one phone left in stock and that it had been returned and was still associated with someone elses account. Apparently, this meant I would have to wait until the next day (Tuesday) to pick it up.Worrying that there might be further hold ups, I asked if could transfer my order to a different store with more phones in stock, but was told that I was not allowed to do that. Instead the rep took my phone number and promised someone would call me the next morning to confirm that my phone was ready.No one called me Tuesday.And then no one called me again today (Wednesday). So I tried to call them a few times after I got off work just now, and no one picked up.I just checked my email, and apparently they emailed (instead of calling) me this afternoon to confirm my phone was ready. Even if I had seen the email, my phone would have already arrived had I shipped it (or had they let me transfer the order to a different store).Im also concerned that I will receive a defective phone seeing how the one left in stock was returned and took two days to get ready for me.For what its worth, Im not a difficult customer. I worked in service industry for over four years and I understand that s*** happens. So naturally I was understanding when the rep told me I couldnt pick up my phone day-of. I also dont like leaving negative reviews because I usually can work out any problems Im having face-to-face. But no one is answering my calls, so here we are.Maybe Covid has somehow affected their customer service. I dont know. Hope others have a better experience than me!

They told me to go through apple, but all the apple stores are closed. I have been trying to get a phone through this store for the past several weeks. its an absolute joke. When I called Taylor at 2 minutes to close, nearly hysterical that I had just flown in and promptly lost my phone and access to Uber to get around for the five days I was in town, she didnt hesitate. Pretty awful experience, already had trouble with a Verizon order and account. I was told on the phone from this location that they will be able to help me with my issue. Went to the store to buy a new phone and transfer a line in. They heavily try to sell me accessories that I did not want, then when it came to the phone I was told that I am required to have the optional device protection plan for my phone. Strange when I ordered online and at another store (related to my order problem) and when it came to the optional device protection plan I refused and we were able to continue our business. Unfortunately we never gotten to the issue of my problem, in which they responded we have ways of getting around problems like that. Unfortunately I had to leave since they refuse to sell me a phone with the device protection plan. This place gives me horrible used car salesman vibe. Please go to the official Verizon store off E. Returned phone and they failed to cancel device agreement after charging restocking fee. Have spent hours on the phone with Verizon to remove the device from my business account. After !5 years with Verizon one authorized retailer is causing me to cancel all business lines and switch to a new provider. Unfortunate that they want me to pay for a device for 2 years that they have in their possession. My advice is go to a corporate store.

My wife and I are long-time Verizon customers, in part because we have received excellent service over the years. We recently upgraded our phones, and I want to salute Hector Galindez at the University Avenue store in Madison for a superlative job of guiding us through the intricacies of the upgrade and for alerting us to the best deals for us. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and patient. We made an appointment, and he spent two hours making sure that everything was set up properly. In these days of endless waits for help and quick blow-offs, he exemplified what good customer service should be. How old-fashioned, and how refreshing.
I have had frustrating experiences at Verizon before...but that was not the case today. The sales consultant was professional, knowledgeable, n kind. He was patient and remedied my phone issue quickly n correctly. I was very happy w my Verizon experience today
Ran into a few troubles trying to get a new phone activated that wasnt purchased through Verizon, but despite that, the service was great. There was this one guy working there all 3 times I came to the store and he was super helpful and patient with me.
We were getting concerned about the increasing amount of data we were using. Josh took the time to explain what was happening, and assured us that we were on the right plan for our usage. He was a really nice, personable guy, and he knew what he was talking about. We really appreciated that he didn’t push us to buy data we didn’t need. Kudos to Josh!

Very poor customer service. We knew more than the store personnel. If you have any questions it is just better to call the customer service or even Google yourself instead of the store visit. Will not suggest this store for anyone. The service personnel was not even proactive in asking what we want neither were the phones even in a working condition to try it out.

I had the most frustrating experience with getting a phone under my extended warranty (about a six hour ordeal in total). After going to Apple, Verizon on the west side, I went to Verizon on University Square to see if I could get a temporary phone until I could troubleshoot the original problem. Instead, Hector was able to help me fix the problem so I wouldnt need to get a temporary phone. We were on the phone with tech support for over an hour trying to fix this and he stayed open 45 min past closing just to help, it was truly great customer service. Thank you so much, Hector!!

Clean store, convenient location, wonderful experience in switching to Verizon. Kaden in particular was extremely detailed in explaining to me the process for retaining my number and all the deals going on at the moment.
Sales associates at this location blatantly LIED TO MY FACE when I asked about the full retail price of a phone I was buying. I told them that I would be willing to pay the total cost of the phone up front, if that was the cheapest overall option. They (2 at once) insisted that they did not sell phones at full price at once and that their total price, which included a large up front amount plus a monthly installment, was what the phone would cost if purchased outright at any retailer and that most retailers were only selling the phone in installments anyway. They went on to further explain that they were the cheapest option because other places would charge interest on installments. All of this was completely untrue. It turns out that the associates were selling me a bunch of accessories which they claimed were included with new phone purchases and then I would be charged exactly the same full installment amount that Verizon corporate charges if you buy the phone through the website or at a store. Because I was trying to replace a phone with a broken display, I had no way to double-check the price while there. Furthermore, they do not provide you with itemized receipts in-store, so I didnt even realize what Id actually been charged for until I got home and could check my email.Two stars because when I marched back into the store the next day having looked up the actual price of the phone (same across all retailers including Verizons website and a total of $150 cheaper than the plan theyd sold me) and calmly, yet firmly demanded I be given a full refund, they complied.Remember, THIS IS NOT A VERIZON CORPORATE RETAILER; this is a third party store. They have nothing to gain by fairly treating existing Verizon customers. Because Verizons business model no longer includes contract extensions, they stay in business by selling actual things.

Very helpful, Kaden took the time to explain a lot of things to me. What I wanted wasnt in stock, and he found it at another store and he got it for me so I could have it the next day. I came back. He transferred the files from the old phone to the new one. I kept the old one for a few days to check that files had made the leap to the new phone. A few days later I came back to the store to trade in the phone, and Dragan was very helpful. Good people there!
Solid, one-on-one customer service from Mike. I came in with a broken phone and he explained my options for upgrading, answered my questions, and gave decent advice. Im happy with my new phone. I would give it a 5-star if I didnt have to wait 45 min or before being helped, but also understand them need to serve one customer at a time. Only two people were working with 5 customers in store, and phone purchases arent quick exchanges.

Not a bad store. Most of the staff are helpful. There is, however, one guy that seems to grow impatient very soon after you ask questions from him.

DO NOT GO TO THIS STOREThis is NOT a Verizon storefront. This is an Authorized Retailer called Mobile Generation that apparently makes their money by lying to and taking advantage of Verizon customers.I went in to purchase two phones under a promotion going on with Verizon. When making the transaction, the associate (Mike Goodwin) LIED to my face and told me that they had another promotion which gave us *free* accessories with the phone purchase. What he neglected to tell me was that he was actually selling me two $160 accessory packages. He did not provide any indication of this nor an itemized receipt, and when asked why the amount charged to my credit card was higher than expected, he told me that the charge was a required payment towards the phone.After leaving the store and seeing that no payment towards my phone had been made on Verizon, I contacted Verizon support and learned that because this isnt an official Verizon store, but an authorized retailer, theres nothing they could do and I must take it up with the store.Ive since made daily attempts to contact the store and the manager who posts here (Amber L.) but have been told nothing except that she will call me soon.Ive never had anything but a good experience with Verizon, but this is NOT VERIZON. This is a company whose business model is scamming their customers. Please save yourself this frustration and money and go to Verizon itself down University Ave.

Im going into my senior year of college and I got my first ever smart phone this week at this store. Harrison was patient, kind and respectful and I cant express enough how the usual stress of getting a new phone was nonexistent thanks to his help. He sat down and showed me features of my new phone I never would have known about and was extremely helpful in explaining everything, from prices to data plans. Everyone at the store is really nice, but special shout out to Harrison!

Would give one star but I feel I am partially responsible for falling into their trap. They repeatedly told me it was cheaper to take their in-store deal rather than not. So I followed their advice and now my dad wont get off my back about how they ripped us off. Have gone in and talked to them about it and they stay firm that it was the best deal possible. However, going to our actual Verizon store the workers there tell us that we are paying more than we shouldve. Can say Im never planning on stepping foot in this store again.
This place would not warrant one star from me. Hector the sales manager, in my very humble opinion lied not only to me (disabled), he lied to my brother and care giver. He took total advantage of my excellent credit, sold me a package of cheap non Samsung accessories (that he told me was tax), the second day of using a wireless charger it malfunctioned and Hector would not replace it. The earbuds from the phone malfunctioned he would not even replace the earbuds that came with the phone! We was promised two:two hundred dollars Visas for switching lines (have yet to see them), was lied to about the 24 month contract (wanted to pay off early, Hector said we could), you cant, your stuck like a pig. Hector did not give me a copy of what I signed (so I could look at it), it was emailed, if I saw the paperwork I would have canceled in the 14 day time frame. I am now waiting to see if Verizon corporation will honor the two; two hundred dollar phone credits they promised to cover Hectors lie, and the two: two hundred Visa cards. We went there for the buy one galaxy s10 plus, get one free. It now looks like (after reading a copy of the emailed contract I never got), we are paying for both phones. This man should not be unleashed on the unaware consumer, and prey upon people with disabilities while they are under the influence of medications. Shame on Hector; Sales Manager at Version. Shame, shame, shame. Still uncovering his misrepresentations, in my very humble opinion.
