Purchasing a vehicle from East Madison Toyota was an excellent experience. There was no pressure to buy the vehicle I was looking at. They did not try switching me to a vehicle I wasnt interested in. My experience working with east Madison Toyota was great. I cannot yet speak to the service department or quality of the warranty because the car is so new but I would recommend checking them out. Buying a car during a pandemic has been weird, normally there is a lot to choose fromAnd you have some leverage. They supply is so low right now so that is not currently part of the equation. That being said I did end up getting exactly what I want and I am pleased. Working was Tashi was great she answered all my questions and I felt well taken care of by her and her team.
East Madison Toyota tried to scam my daughter after she agreed to order and pay for a 2022 Toyota Camry. The salesman wanted her to pay them a $500 deposit towards the new car and they wouldnt commit to ordering it or having the car she wanted to order at any time. Total scam!
I am a first time car buyer, and was very skeptical of buying a used vehicle, but was nothing short of amazed with the experience Alex Lozano provided. I walked with an expectation of purchasing a used car. The options Alex put forth opened my eyes to a better solution. The finance team worked tirelessly to get me the best terms to stay in my budget. My 2012 Camry had a grinding noise coming from driver side rear tire area and I brought my vehicle in to have it checked out. The service advisor I worked with was friendly, though I question what value East Madison Toyota provides.The brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced. Four of the five part types listed on the invoice can be purchased from Toyotas online parts center for $241.63 collectively, whereas East Madison Toyota charged $330.75 for them (a nearly 50% markup). I suspect the dealership procures the parts for less than what Toyota sells them for online.Additionally, East Madison Toyotas website has a special listed for $30/$60 off brake work for one/both axles but that was not offered to me when the service advisor called me regarding the results of diagnostic testing.East Madison Toyota fixed my issue, but I feel like I probably could have had it done significantly cheaper at an independent dealer than the $541.07 I paid today had I known what was going on and had time to price shop.

First time going there because I had a small chipped windshield and was told that it will cost $59 total was $65. I had to wait for almost 2 hours and it still look the same as when I brought it in I feel like they didn’t even touch anything but charge me & wasted my time waiting. Won’t be coming back.
Went in and got the vehicle I was looking for and didnt feel like I was being jerked around. Sales people were understanding and helpful and werent pressuring me into anything I didnt want. All and all good experience given the stressed associated with buying a vehicle

Called asking for an estimate to have my spark plugs replaced in a Toyota Highlander. Quoted $532, at the most, so I scheduled to have them done 2 days later. Showed up, and the guy checking me in said it would cost $800+, which I refused to pay, ridiculous amount. Hesser quoted me $250, which was the lowest after calling a few other places. Smart quoted $472. I’ll never come back to this dealership to either buy or service my next Toyota if this is how they gouge people after selling them a vehicle.Update: I responded and never heard back. Shocking

We purchase our second vehicle from East Madison Toyota in September, a used Honda Odyssey. We had a wonderful experience and were very please with Matt Ingrams service. Unfortunately, seven short months later we started experiencing some issues and found out we needed a new transmission. In light of an undesirable situation the entire East Madison Toyota team has been fantastic. We had to weigh whether or not we wanted to pay to replace the transmission or consider a new vehicle. A couple other Honda dealerships that had seen the van and provided the confirmation that the transmission needed replaced were vying hard for our business and while it was tempting we wanted to give East Madison Toyota the opportunity as well. We really wanted to keep our business with them because of our past experiences so we were very pleased when we were able to make a deal to lease a 2021 Sienna. This is the first time weve leased so there was definitely some initial skepticism but all of our questions and concerns were addressed.If I had to note a negative it would be the slim inventory on new Siennas (3 at the time). Ill just keep reminding myself that the awesome fuel economy of the hybrid outweighs the fact that our only color option is our least favorite vehicle color - black. :)

I called this dealership in the middle of a 6 hour trip when my Prius started making some horrible noises. They said they were appointment only, but that the mechanics could make time to see what the problem was. I was so thankful for Andrea, who I talked to on the phone and squeezed me into the schedule at the last minute. Joel the mechanic immediately took one look under my car and figured out the issue right after I pulled in. They had me out the door in less than 15 minutes and I couldn’t have been more grateful for the wonderful service even though they hadn’t been expecting me. ATTEMPTED FRAUD!!!! My wife got a nail hole in her tire yesterday so I pulled it off her car and had her drop it off today to get patched. The tech called us to say it wasnt repairable and we needed to get new tires ($1300). So we both went back there to talk to them. They told us the hole had been patched previously (despite us owning the car since new) so they could not fix it. I challenged them as they had not pulled the tire off the rim so there was no way they could have known. They stuck to their story so we took the tire and left. We then went to Fleet Farm in Deforest where they tech pulled the tire off the rim, confirmed there was no patch and fixed for $15 in less than 10 minutes. East Madison Toyota is a very dishonest business, avoid them.

My experience from the time we walked in the door until our service was completed was flawless. Tyler in parts and Joel in the service department were professional and incredibly helpful. We didnt have an appointment, but we were treated like we were their best customers and the work was completed on time as promised. My best car dealership experience EVER!
My family has bought two vehicles in the last few months from East Side Toyota. They got me the best deal possible with the negative equity in my trade for the first. I sat there a long time going back and forth with my bank but they made me feel welcome and comfortable in the lounge. Mind you- I live 1.5 hrs away. I was finally able to drive away in a 2020 Highlander!! I have never thought a brand new vehicle was ever in my lifetime!Second vehicle- also not as smooth on our end. Again, these guys were able to find us the best possibility and got us the vehicle we needed to replace the one that had been totaled in a collision over a year ago. That made the buying process tricky with previous loans, but these guys were extremely helpful in explaining our situation. Fortunately we were still able to come home with our car! These guys do everything they can to make sure you feel a part of the Toyota family. Thank you for your patience, and thank you for for making my buying experience a great one! Highly recommend! Did an oil change that took about 2 hours. The East Toyota provides a complimentary multi point inspection, while changing the oil. I had a low tire pressure light on and the low engine coolant level, when I brought my car in. No one mentioned those things then they gave me my keys back, which makes me concerned about that “free multi point inspection”, since “low tire pressure” light is an obvious reason to tell me that it needs attention. Instead, they said everything is fine.Two weeks later I had a check engine light on. It was one of the sensors. They recommended a full inspection for 270$. Besides the 2 sensors they found out that the axle needs to be replaced. Total cost 2300$. This was Thursday. I was told the car will be ready Friday. No one called me during the day on Friday. Around 4pm I called them to find out that they don’t have the parts and the car will be ready Monday afternoon. This stuff happens, but it would be nice to get a call, when something like that happens. Monday, I got no calls again. I called them in the afternoon to find out that the car will be ready Tuesday. Tuesday no calls again. I called in the afternoon, and they told me that they broke my steering line, and the car will be ready Wednesday. No calls the whole day Wednesday. I drove there after work and talked to the manager directly. I found out that the car is ready, and I owe them 3500$ instead of 2300$. After some arguing that I signed that I would pay them 2300$ and the car was supposed to be ready in one day, not six, I ended up paying 2300$, which I don’t think is fair. Next day in the morning I saw a puddle of some oily red liquid under my car. Took my car back to them on Thursday. Picked it up Friday. I was told that they installed the wrong part, and that is why it was leaking. Next day I was washing the car and noticed that the driver side front wheel bolts don’t look right. TWO of them were not tied!!! I was able to unscrew them with my bare hands!!! I checked the rest of the bolts, and they were fine. Besides the fact that sterling fuid was everythere under the hoodTwo weeks later my A/C compressor broke. Obviously, I took the car to a different place. Compressor was replaced and the mechanic took his time to check other stuff on the car, like the bad exhaust system that needs to be replaced, and the rusty points on the frame. East Toyota didn’t mention any of that, even though I pointed out that the exhaust sounds too loud and asked them to look at it. They said it looks fine and needs nothing. And this was 270$ full inspection.Now I am driving my car and the steering wheel shakes at 60 miles/h. I paid East Toyota 160$ for an alignment less than a month ago and it would be logical to ask them to redo it wright, since they have a 12 months warranty. But I will pay someone else to do it, since I don’t believe East Toyota is capable of doing anything right.Conclusion:-Bad customer service. Don’t expect things to be done on time or that anyone will call you with the updates. You are overpaying for the service at the certified center, but you are not getting good service.-Bad mechanical service. Don’t expect that things will be done right or on time. They might even break something that wasn’t broken or do something dangerous like not tying all the wheel bolts.-Don’t expect a fast oil change. I wouldn’t be faster than 1.5-2 hours. Don’t wait there. Drop your car and come back later.-Don’t trust “complimentary multi point inspection”. No one would look at your car, and they would tell you everything is fine, unless you are missing the engine.My experience was bad, and I paid over 2000$ for my lesson. Don’t make my mistake, go somewhere else.Update:The comment of the manager under this review means nothing. I emailed him weeks ago. No response. Not even surprising. Just another reason not to deal with this place.

Since it’s been 2 years, it’s a little overdue. Sorry, I have a PhD in procrastination. My experience at East Madison Toyota couldn’t have been better. Everyone was nice, friendly and very accommodating. My salesman even took me to the DMV and waited with me to get a piece of paper I needed. My old 4 runner had died and they gave me a very fair offer on a vehicle that wasn’t worth 2 cents. This is my 3rd 4Runner—needless to say—love these vehicles! They hold everything—in addition to groceries etc, also hold my 2 year old mastiff (she’s around 170 lbs). Had to use a rental during the buying process—Oh man what a disappointment—it just had a cheap feeling—had the sound of a tin can when shutting the door. Also when I 1st got in I fell into the seat because it was down so far. In contrast shutting the door of the truck, it’s a solid sound. Can barely hear thunder during a storm. And the seats are very comfortable; l have a very bad back—arthritis etc and I can adjust the seat very precisely. So a very belated thank you for a great experience and will be seeing you soon because I broke my side mirror when I drove into the garage door. Oops 😬

My husband wanted a very specific Toyota Tacoma. We live in Texas and have been searching for a Voodoo blue, Tacoma with a 6 ft. bed, and a sun/moonroof. Doesnt sound hard to find, but it was. When we started searching there were only 5 in the whole country. When we started contacting dealerships they didnt actually have a truck with all that he wanted. We contacted East Madison Toyota and Tashi Chomor got back to us saying they had it! I asked her to take pictures, as we were not going to go to Madison, WI if it was not the exact truck. Tashi videotaped the entire truck and sent it to us. Bingo! It was the exact truck, plus some! Many people would have gotten the truck shipped, but my husband is not going to buy a new truck without actually seeing it. So we flew to Madison and picked up the truck. Tashi Chomor could not have been better. She had everything ready to go and went over the trucks features in detail. Honestly, if we did not live in Texas, we would be loyal customers to this dealership. The best part is that Toyotas last a long time, so we probably will not be needing a new truck in the near future. This is my husbands 3rd Toyota. The first 2 each had 250,000 miles with no major issues. We will be keeping this one for a long time. Thank you Tashi and East Madison Toyota!
My family bought 2 cars from this dealership last Saturday. We worked with Alex and he was amazing. He actually reminded meeting us a year ago when we looked at cars after moving here. No pressure sales, nice, helpful and he even bought my kids candy to keep them comfortable and at ease while we went through the process. The whole team was inviting and great but Alex is truly a special employee.

Great work and diagnostics.I was disappointed that maintenance I asked to be done too with the repair was forgotten. I now have to go again for that and the maintenance plan is quite expensive. I also had to ask for a free car wash coupon that is given with each job.Their work is wonderful otherwise.
Great service! We were traveling through from Georgia to Minnesota and we were nearly due for an oil change. We were a work in. We were worked in very timely.All staff we met were 1st class! Great waiting area.
My husband and I purchased a 2020 Rav4 hybird from this dealership. Everything went well until a few months ago when we realized they only gave us one key fob. My husband called to request an additional fob at their expense. We felt we paid for it initially and never received it. They refused saying it was too long since purchase time and we probably lost it and were being less than honest about only receiving one. My husband is 71 and I am 69, we live our life with honesty and integrity and were offended by such a suggestion. We were also told the fob would cost $400. We called the Corp offices who assured us they would work to find a solution. That never happened and in fact Corp never returned our phone calls. We have given up dealing with this dealership and have since ordered a new fob from a local toyota dealership. It cost us $200. So now we know that East Madison is not interested in helping their customers and they also do not tell the truth about the cost of items. We are in the market for a new Tacoma truck but will not consider East Madison. They could have left us happy customers instead they have lost our business. A word of warning to potential buyers, they may not stand with you once your have purchased your vehicle.
Perfect place to get the perfect car!
Jeremy promptly answered my inquiry about the truck in which I was interested. We agreed to meet the next morning around 10. Arrived about 10:30 and the place was so busy I thought they were having a buy one get one free sale. Met with Jeremy and arranged for a test drive. It was obvious that Jeremy was multitasking, but he handled the pressure very well. A few hours later and I was driving home in the third truck purchased from this dealership.

Website had 12 new Tacomas also recieved an email stating there were new Tacomas there. So I drove an hour there and they had no new Tacomas and were trying to sell used Tacomas for more than what the website quoted new ones at. Overall it was a waste of a trip all because they werent honest.

I bought my car across the street at the Toyota dealer and also my car before that from there. Im a toyota fan for sure. I also prefer to take my car to them for repairs and oil changes. However, this time I was a bit disappointed. Their new policy, per covid, is to have guests make appointments for oil changes, so it was a surprise when I pulled up, that I couldnt just wait my turn and have my car serviced. I had to call, set up an appointment, and then return at that later time instead. Then when I did show up for my appointment, I had to wait 25 minutes before they pulled me in. I dont think that should happen when I had to make an appointment. Finally, I dont feel they tend to care as carefully as they once did. I was in and out in 10 minutes and am not sure they checked everything as my checklist indicated. I sat in the car during this entire interaction and observed the workers standing around more than looking under the hood. Oil changes are nearly $65 now and thats not for the tire rotation. So, I do expect a bit more and was disappointed. I probably wont be returning because of all the above and thats unfortunate for me and for them. I was a good customer for many years.

Here is my story.I had a tire pressure light on for awhile and since its the weekends, I wanted to see if I could be productive. You know the attempt to be productive haha.well, I usually go to the west Madison Toyota but I wanted to go to the east side. then I saw the huge sign that says Appointment Only and I realized I made a mistake and blamed myself for not checking ahead.But, you know... I wanted to at least ask politely if there is a way to squeeze me in for a simple air pressure check and fill the air.I should have gotten the name of the gentleman (it might be the manager of the place but the gentleman was wearing the bright green safety vest) squeezed me in! I have nothing but gratitude.Not only that but the auto technicians were professional and all wearing masks. I would like to recognize a professional and a customer centered team that this place has.Thank you! Will use and will recommend this place for any car service.:)
A little late getting me in for my 11am appointment (20 minutes) but otherwise did a fine job, got me a shuttle when it turned out more work and time would be needed, made sure to use a coupon I presented, sent the shuttle to pick me up, did a good job explaining their work. Also did the niceties - topped off fluids, checked tire pressures, indicated near future needs but didnt try to push them prematurely, all in all very satisfied.
Went to Smart Toyota on Odana and had a bad experience so decided to give this place a try. Great experience! I had ordered oil change and tire rotation for my 2006 car. They called me and said my tire rotation axis looked good, and checked if I still wanted the tire rotation done. I said no, and my bill came out to only $34 for oil change. The other place I went to always ended up charging me over $100 for a general checkup and oil change. Will be back even though it’s a further drive for me!

Great service and professional employees. Went in for an oil change and mechanic was concerned with condition of my tires. Then discovered I had a nail in one and an active leak. They were able to install new tires, same day, in 45 minutes.
Everyone I worked with was excellent. I ended up having a last minute appointment close to my car appointment and when I let them know I would have to leave my car appointment by a certain time to make my other appointment everyone stepped up and got the job done quickly. I had plenty of time to spare! I’ve always had the best experiences with Toyota and I would never take my car elsewhere. Everyone is so great and made my stressful day much better.
I recently visited this dealership with intent to buy a car for my wife . The salesperson (Kristy) and used car manager (Doug) went out of their way to come up with an agreed price on a 2019 vehicle. After a test ride my wife was not sure that the selected vehicle was what she expected. Doug and Kristy tried to find different vehicles that might accommodate our needs. Unfortunately we drove away without a purchase but the staff at this dealership tried their best to find us a vehicle. I will be watching their site closely for inventory updates for a possible return. When you get into a new or used car you should get a feeling of This is the one they understand that. I went on a recommendation from a friend. He told me service is top notch and the people are honest and really friendly. After my service of oil change and tire rotation I would agree. They really enjoy what they do and take pride in their work.Thats something you cant fake and I will return for future service.
Andrea in the service department did an amazing job today. 2/16/21. I just worked an all night shift out on the highway in the snow and was very tired. When I came in I came in exactly when rhe doors opened up at 8am. I had an appointment for later in the day and told her about my appointment. She offered to have me drive it in and they would get everything set up in the system and take care of it when the time arrived. She offered me a nice place that I could relax in in their lobby and even the smaller kids room that was there if needed for more quiet area. She could see how exhausted I was and wanted to make sure that if that didnt work then they coulf get me set with a loaner car so I could at least go home and rest and pick up my car later in the day. I opted to stay at the shop due to distance to where I live. A few hrs later they woke me up and were very calm quiet and peaceful about it and let me know everything was taken care of. Thank you Andrea customer service was top notch. Great job to the service team as well who completed all services in a super timely manner.

Emailed about a part. I got a call from sales saying i dont know why you emailed sales about a part here is their number. I checked again and i did email parts. I never got an answer. Now i get sales spam daily in my inbox. Fix your : email for parts quote.

I had been debating on 4 different trucks and narrowed it down to two. I live on the west side, but drove to the east side because they agreed to give me a lot more for my trade. As soon as I got there I saw that they had the same truck that I wanted on the West side. I told Gary that I wanted that truck with XXXX payment. He made it happen. He was amazing and funny. Hands down easiest transaction!
Really enjoyed my experience here at East Madison Toyota! I called explained my situation and was never judged or turned away. Was originally looking at used vehicles but walked away with a brand new Toyota Camry! Not too pushy, and to be honest they were very up front and honest with me. From Luke Thomson(Salesman), Zac Ezzell(Manager) and Matt Schnell(Finance Manager) I greatly appreciate you guys and all you did to help! I definitely would recommend if anyone is looking for a vehicle, to stop in and work with these guys! Even though I plan on having my vehicle for awhile, I will be a returning customer!

Just finished up the most disappointing experience buying a car. Started this process more than 2 months ago, had a car on the lot ready to buy. We were all ready to bring the trade down when suddenly the car was no longer available.....They said they could order another, which they did. Go over there today to have them look at the trade in and buy the car that was ordered especially for us. The come back with a price $2,000 higher than discussed. Blamed the soft market on trade ins....we work on negotiating the price down. After well over an hour waiting, we were starting to get a bit impatient. They kept saying a few more minutes, they were checking the numbers. When he finally came back, we had been there over 2 hours, the price increased another $500......needless to say, we walked out! As far as I can tell, they sold the first one on us, then strong armed us on the second. I would highly recommend Smart motors customer service over East Madison Toyota!!! Shameful......As a follow up to my review, I have since left 2 messages with my contact info for the manager to contact me to discuss my issues at his request! No reply at all.....guess the poor service starts at the top and filters all the way down.
We were very impressed by all the measures taken at East Madison Toyota the other day when we had the oil changed and tires rotated. We never left our car, the workers all wore masks and gloves. They were very conscious of the pandemic and did everything to make us feel very comfortable when the work was done on our Highlander. They did all the work in about 15 minutes. Great job!!
Alex Lozano was so amazing. He was knowledgeable and welcoming. He was able to answer all my questions. He was able to work well with his team to make our car purchase come together. I can finally say I trust a car sales person :). All future cars will certainly be with the help of Alex and at Eastside Toyota.
They have a large selection of cars and sales staff. The used car manager was not fair. They need more financial staff, we waited over an hour to see a finical person. We brought a new car partly because the salesman was so nice, interested and helpful. The service supervisor and tire changer were great.
Had a wonderful experience with my salesman Jeremy and the manager Warren. Jeremy went above and beyond and didn’t stop showing me options until I knew I had found the RAV-4 I was completely in love with. I came in for an oil change, and I had an appointment for 2:15 today.After getting checked in, I waited patiently. I walked to the desk at 2:50PM to check the status, and they told me they accidentally forgot my car and they hadnt started it yet.So now, at 2:55PM, they are pulling my car in, and Im going to miss the 3:00PM appointment I had scheduled. They wouldnt have even noticed unless i prompted them!Awful service!

This was a terrific buying experience. Tashi, my sales representative, was very knowledgeable, polite and helpful guiding me through the used car buying experience. I felt I received a fair price for my vehicle even though they did not move on price. It would have been 5* if they would have thrown in the 2nd key fob and/or programming labor as part of the purchase price (car was missing the 2nd, key fob from the former owner)Id still go back.
Very professional staff. Service was timely. Staff were respectful and informative. Also all staff wore masks and kept appropriate distance when talking to you.
