My son bought a car from them in February and a week later it was stolen. Let me rephrase that, the real owner of the car saw it parked used the fob and original keys to drive away with it. My so reported it stolen to the police and just yesterday the real owner reached out to him, because he seen the post on social media looking for the car. Long story short they sold the car to my son gave him the title with two different keys one for the ignition and one for the doors but the original owner had the keys and fob. The original owner and the dealership had a strange agreement that fell through with shady dealings. When the car was stolen from my son he called the dealership and they laughed at him saying it’s your car back in February. Fast forward to yesterday when the police were present along with the original owner, the dealership story changed 3 different times. My son is out of money and his only recourse is to sue the dealership. By the way the original owner claims he doesn’t have possession of the vehicle says he sold it to someone else. Moral of the story is even if it’s a dealership that’s been in business for years do your research. The only thing worse than buying a lemon is buying a stolen car.

A small used car dealership that was very accommodating to me as an out of town customer. I was able to place a small hold fee to allow me to travel without disappointment that the vehicle of interest had already been sold. All online dealerships should provide this customer benefit. I bought the vehicle after my inspection and road test.

Website is nice do you dont have to visit but thats about it. Almost all cars have been reported for accidents. No salesman came out which you can decide for yourself whether you like that or not. Low quality cars I would not trust to buy a car from there but I only looked so I dont really know.

Absolutely fantastic experience buying a Prius from Capital Auto. A week after I bought it the radiator started leaking. Despite having a 50/50 warranty they took care of the whole thing. Unbelievable. I will be purchasing all of my future cars through these wonderful people.

Its been two years since buying my car from them, and theyre still taking excellent care of me. Theyre fast to provide service (next day) and have really, really reasonable prices. Tim and Eric are both super nice and easy to communicate with.

Wayne was very responsive to my emails. We went on a Saturday to look at a car. Wayne wasnt there, but he had told us to talk to Eric. Eric was very helpful in the buying process of the car my daughter was looking at. He even did some minor work and let my daughter pick it up that night after closing. Shes had the car 4 days and is really happy with her purchase.

UPDATE: We have had the car less than 1 year and have already had to put thousands of dollars into it. We only use this car for my husband to drive 20 minutes to and from work. So far weve needed a new power steering pump, seal on power steering column, valve on the exhaust, muffler, and now the car just died again while driving and had to get it towed. Waiting to find out the ridiculous amount more we have to pay to keep it running. Buying a used car we were prepared for minor fixes, but we were not prepared to pay half as much as the cars cost in repairs within 1 year of having it and only driving it short distances. Especially when the dealership said it was inspected thoroughly and everything was in working order. Would not recommend.Original post after purchasing the car:We were looking for an affordable and reliable car. We saw a car online and it fit everything that we were looking for. Response was fast and the buying experience was good. The owner, Wayne, explained a lot about the make and model and was very transparent about common issues and what repairs they had already done to the car. After bringing it home, we noticed a couple very minor things that were off, and we were able to bring it back so they could get everything in perfect working order. Overall a great deal and great customer service! I would recommend!

Potential buyers beware! Huge markup on the price of cars often $1,500 to $2,000 above year of car! Banks will not finance due to age and extreme mark ups. Very poor communication salesman Wayne actually provided us with incorrect phone numbers to reach him. Held on to down payment on car for several days despite messages left. Would not advise consumers to purchase vehicles here with several banks in agreement.

Every one of their employees I spoke to is kind and helpful. Theyre honest, upfront and make everything go smooth with the purchase of a vehicle. Im very happy with their service.

Wayne would not sell us the car we originally selected because of a condition he found when he inspected the car that would make it unsafe to drive in a couple of years--what dealer does that?? Capital Auto Clinic helped me tremendously, taking my fogged up and grimy headlight covers and making them look as good as new at a great price. I also got a sampling of their used cars, which they maintain and keep in great condition. If I need future repairs or a used car, Ill come here...especially since Capital Auto uses CarFax to make sure their used cars were previously well-maintained and not involved in crashes.

I had the worst buying experience here. The car they sold me had many problems starting a few days after purchase. I had to keep returning for help. The salesman thought it was funny when I got upset because my check engine light was on only 6 days after buying the car. The 3rd time I came back with issues, I requested a partial refund for repair work. They gave it to me but not without mocking me. And trying to guilt me.The salesman is 2 faced. He pretends to care about customers and does cheap repair work. Ive had my car less than 3 weeks, its plagued with problems. Id never in a million years shop here again. Ive bought 6 cars in my life and this was by far worse than buying from a private seller. They didnt even have the decency to apologize. I had to miss 2 major important appointments because I didnt know what was wrong with the car. And the salesman just laughed in my face. Spare yourself time and money, these guys are awful.

We purchased a 2006 Toyota Prius approximately 1 year ago as a work vehicle due to the 50 mile daily round trip. This was my first Prius and it had about 168,000 miles on it. It has over 190,000 miles on it now and has run flawlessly, even in the winter snows of Northern Illinois. Test drove a vehicle there. It had audible engine and brake issues which he tried to pass of as nothing. The icing on the cake, though, was when he made a women driver joke when reviewing the vehicle history (its okay, because Im a guy, you see).

Bought a car from them in May of 2016. In august i had to have fuel pump changed, two days after that i had to have the ignition replace. In December of the same year the rear axle started making knocking noises. The car only lasted only 7 months and had over $1000 in repairs. If i would of got the rear axle fixed it would of cost more then the car was worth. Money NOT well spent.

I just bought a car from these guys yesterday and within 2 hours of leaving the lot the front of the car started making loud clunking noises and while in reverse the car makes a horrible noise as well called Wayne right away and to let him know all this (the same day of purchase) and he said it was more than likely the struts and he would fix them but to put the icing on the cake the check engine light came on today and the gas cap is on correctly. I have spoken to him about this as well and he claims he will fix the issues but at this point im so upset i just want my money back! I also had a mechanic look at it and it isnt just the struts and check engine light it is also the control arm and wheel barrings and rotors and possibly the racking pinning....and the next thing that will go is the cv axle. I will write another review after meeting with them tomorrow but IM not a happy camper and this was something I had saved up for and am just beside myself that they would let a car like this off the lot like Anita McKnight said the repairs to this car will be well over $4000 and Im hoping they will work with me like they did her.

Vehicle they sold me needed in excess of $4000 worth of work in less than a week after purchase. While they agreed to take the vehicle back and return my money, it shouldnt have left the lot in the condition it was in.
