California Closets is amazing to work with. Sarah, my designer in Madison, is great to work with. You are truly part of helping with the design process based on your needs. The installers are very detail oriented and show you everything before they leave everything clean. The quality of the materials used for shelving, drawers, rods and hardware is top of the line. I’ve so enjoyed work with them on several projects in my condo during the past year.

California Closets did an outstanding job in 3 locations in my home: the Master bedroom closet, the linen closet and the pantry. All were professionally done and well as the design process was exceptional. I would highly recommend to anyone. I will likely use them again for areas of my basement refurbishment project.

We have two small closets in a 1955 home. The closets have become useful and look amazing. There was a special running to upgrade to the next option of color instead of the white. I am happy with the darker color which went better with the style of our home.

They did a fantastic job of designing and installing closets through your home. We love the closet systems they designed. Very professional and conscientious about their work.

We had our master closet replaced with a California Closet system in December. They had come out, measured the closet, measured how much space each of our clothing took, etc. It was most interesting to see what was designed for our odd shaped. I never would have imagined it. With the designs on the computer-quick changes could be seen then decided upon. More hang space versus shelving, or add some drawers. Even a color change could make a huge difference.Now the closet is in, and it looks superb.!!! It looks so great, that one wants to keep everything folded perfect and in order. We Love IT!!!

I made suggestions about how I would like my mudroom/shelving configured, and on a few of them the designer and installer showed me how it would not flow or fit or how I would otherwise likely be dissatisfied with my ideas in the future. VERY helpful!

I am really disappointed. We thought going to California Closets over other not so name brands would mean we got more professional and better service. Boy was I wrong.It started out fine. A salesperson came out to our place and did some measurements and we told her what we were looking for. About a week later we stopped into their showroom and the salesperson (who was super nice and helpful) had some ideas on her computer. We tweaked the design a little and she gave us a printout and a price. It was great.We thought about it for a couple days, compared it to our other option, and then called and said we’d like to move forward. The salesperson then mailed us a contract, which we signed and sent back with a check for the full amount of the contract. We thought we’re good to go.I get a call from the salesperson a couple days later telling me there was a problem with their computer system and that our closet was going to be “twice as much” as the contract we signed. Needless to say I was surprised, not only that the price was going up so much (we had a second option with Eddie Z’s that was for about the same as the original California Closets) but that they were not going to honor the signed and paid for contract. I then asked to talk to the manager and indicated that I can understand that there can be mistakes but that I was of the opinion that, given the timeline of events above, to have the price double was not reasonable and I expected them to honor their original signed contract. He said they would not cash my check and they would not do the job for anything less than twice the originally quoted cost. Period. End of conversation.I’m still surprised that a business like this would operate in this manner. I’m not sure if it was a bait and switch tactic, salesperson error or truly a programming error. They didn’t even have the courtesy to send me the check I wrote them back!Eddie Z’s did an awesome job and we love our closet, so I guess the moral of the story is to go to Eddie Z’s… 
