The limited staff work really hard to serve you, but cannot keep up with all of us in a long line waiting to check out. They need new hires! The shelves are bare and in disarray and the curb in front of store is lined with litter. Someone please clean up. In spite of this, I was able to find some lovely fabric assisted by (again) wonderful staff.

It was very busy. Very short of help and no one around to ask for help. I ended up leaving cause I couldnt find what I was looking for after searching for an hour. Saw only 2 workers in the store with people 15 deep in lines at cutting station and checkout.But lots of inventory, Ill be back.

Thank you to Sebastian for the insightful info on how to work with fur. After asking if I’d worked with fur, I was given a quick “tutorial” on how to cut, sew, etc. I’m pretty sure I would have had to repurchase everything and start over without the info offered. Thanks for help you gave me to create what I wanted without the trial/error!

They have lots of crafts, fabric, photo frames, they can answer your crafting questions, holiday decorations,friendly service, I enjoyed Joann fabrics 😁

Lots of supplies and always have what Im looking for. Super annoying pricing though with tricky coupon restrictions and stacking rules. Always a surprise as to what my total will be!

Just called to confirm an order was ready for pick up. made order last night and NEVER got a confirmation email. all paid for ahead of time. First person decided that she had talked to me 3 days ago, which I corrected saying again that I was confirming a pick up. she then went, and confirmed and hung up on me in mid sentence. extremely rude

Nice variety of holiday decor and so on. BUT, omg the store associates literally fight with each other in front of customers. So weird. Get it together, people. And the woman with a ponytail- please start wearing your mask properly…

The shelves werent well stocked. The online ad indicated items were in stock, but when I got there, the items were out of stock. The selections were not adequate and I was very disappointed.

Salesperson was very helpful finding the shade of red I needed for a quilting project, and figuring the yardage I needed.

Store is great, online order process is less of an experience. Placed a curbside order and had multiple items canceled off the order. Went into the store and found 3 of my canceled items out on the floor for sale. Rather disappointing that staff would rather cancel items off an order then to take a few minutes to actually search for the products ordered.Store itself was well stocked in most areas and offers a wide variety of crafting supplies. Staff were super friendly at the checkouts.

Very helpful. The staff in the fabrics dept helped me figure out exactly what I needed to make the skirt I wanted to start on and went over the pattern with me.

It doesnt seem like they want people to shop in store. Coupons you get for purchases in-store are only valid for online orders. Very disappointing.

I really wish they would train more people to cut fabric. Theres only a couple staff that seem to know how to do it.

The store in Janesville is the BEST! Madison West stire is a mess and doesnt really have much of what I used to get when I was there! Not worth the trip. Go to Janesville!

I wish they had more resin craft and silicone mold building products. They only have a few things in store for resin on 2 aisle end caps.Great selection of beads and pendants for jewelry making. Huge selection of fabric - as they should since its in their store name :) Overall its a great place but if youre looking for resin craft supplies youll be better off at Hobby Lobby.

Its probably the largest in the area. If youre looking for sewing supplies, you should shop here without a doubt. There is always fabric on sale, and an excellent selection of machines and supplies. Decent assortment of silk flowers, acrylic yarn, painting paraphernalia, kids crafts, beading projects... The checkout lines are usually long but theres plenty of impulse items to look at while in line.

Im posting this as I sit at the curbside pickup area still waiting for my order. I went inside first and found that you must wait in the regular line (which is 8 miles long and barely moving), so I decided to download the app (didnt want to do that.which is why I went inside first) and see what happens. Im regretting many life decisions leading to this moment. I should have brought snacks.Its time to get your online pickup service running better or offer free shipping... especially during a pandemic.

I like the store, usually find what I need but the checkout line is always incredibly slow. Everytime Ive gone in the past 2 years its been slow so its not due to extra cleaning.

Incomparable availability of materials, especially in fabric (unsurprisingly). Equipment stock for Cricut and sewing machines is also high and varied. Larger than expected cooking section for kitchen artisans. What they minimally sacrifice in breadth they make up in depth tenfold.

Such a wide variety of fabric choices at reasonable prices. I love this place. And their app provides lots of great coupons!

Joann has a huge selection and everyone is always nice! Sometimes it can be a little difficult to find things and there isnt always someone available to answer questions, but that wont keep me from going to Joann. Love this place.

Poorly stocked today. A lot of items in the notions aisle were very low or out. Also items (BIG PUFFY LITTLE GIRLS DRESSES) were falling off shelves into the main walkways and causing tripping hazards and getting caught in shopping cart wheels. (Yes, I did try to stick them back under where they were hanging but there wasnt enough room to stuff the ends in.) Many of JoAnns aisle are now too narrow to walk comfortably with a walker or a wheelchair.

Shouldnt say have macreme supplies when you cant find them and then when you ask where they are they make work for jewelry but nothing bigger.

I was disappointed to learn that the Odana location does not enforce the Dane County mask mandate. Multiple shoppers were there on a busy Saturday without masks. When I asked employees about the mask enforcement in the store, they said corporate policy states they cannot request that anyone wear a mask. They put the safety of all of their customers at risk. I will not be back.

Some of the stuff you could probably get elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. I was impressed by the expansive fabric selection.

We were looking for a specific fabric that we had seen the week before, the staff member was very helpful helping us find it. Theyre always helpful and have what I need for my sewing projects.

Everything youll need for most crafting. They run excellent sales and the clearance stock is plentiful. They are also generous with coupons. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. Excellent covid precautions in place as well. I was surprised to find items specific for cosplay.

Was surprised to find 3D printers and filament stocked at JOANN👍 But I came for crochet supplies and loved their selection. 💖

This store is much quieter and the staff seems less knowledgeable and personable than they used to be. I give them props though, for making it neater and better laid out.Really liking the updated sewing machine area, but no one was around to answer questions without having to flag someone down.When you can find them, the staff is nice enough. Shame their yarn selection kind of lets them down, and I couldnt find any oil paint, just tons of acrylic.

I was looking for leather dye but left with a build a robot set. They do accessory furnishings too.

The staff here is very helpful and quick! I went it looking for an odd colored burgundy fleece. After unsuccessfully locating it I asked a staff member for help. We not only went through everything on the wall but also dug through the remnants and discount section to find just the right thing.. She was a big help.

Decent selection of fabric varying in colors, patterns and texture. Theres a lot of other craft products available from baking to beading. The art section is a little lacking in, but I am also pretty picky when it comes the to craft that I Excel at compared to the ones Im working on. Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly, helpful, and fast at the cutting table.

Great craft store. I always can find what I’m looking for...and some times things I’m not. Wait till there’s a 60% off coupon and get your expensive items so much less! Lots of parking and the staff are pretty friendly. Lines are often long with only one cashier or person at the fabric table so make sure you give yourself enough time. Lots of neat craft ideas for toddlers and young kids.

Joann Fabrics has a great selection of fabrics, and we dont have a lot of fabric stores here in Madison (that I know of). They often have good deals with their coupons (I use the app). I generally get all my baking supplies from Vanilla Bean, but if I need something common it is occasionally cheaper here.

Super nice staff. The only thing I did not like about this JoAnns store as opposed to others is that their clearance seemed to be haphazardly placed all over the store with little organization. Also their book selection was a little hard to find and not very extensive. But overall I like their selection and I am always finding new things to do. Plus you can hardly beat their sales!

Decent all-around sewing and craft/art store. I tend to find what Im looking for or at least something workable. Occasionally, what I want is too niche, but overall, a solid set of offerings. The staff is generally very knowledgeable, at least in their specific categories, and they do use their radios to find someone with more experience if the particular employee doesnt know how best to answer a question. The fabric cutting wait can be long at times leading up to Halloween, but not consistently busy like that.

Went for a pattern and yarn. All the yarn was on sale! Great! Found what I was looking for. Just decide which color. Wanted them all. Great store with all kinds of fabric, hobby products. Only problem was ONLY 2 check outs open and 20 people in line waiting. Great store.
