I remember shopping there when I was planning my wedding 25 years ago. I started regularly shopping there over the past 3 years. The friendly staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. It is honestly with this help, that I am able to stay home and bake cookies as a home business!

Usually, I like Vanilla Bean as they have a large variety of products. I called to inquire if they carry hot chocolate bomb molds. I was informed, yes - but due to high demand they are limiting to one per CUSTOMER. Great - no problem. My mother-in-law drove over and purchased one and the clerk informed her it was one per FAMILY. I met her there in order to purchase one for myself. The clerk then changed her mind and said one per GROUP and demanded my name to write in a book as they are tracking purchases of the molds. We dont even live in the same house. Im very DISAPPOINTED and wont be going back anytime soon.In response to the owner - I have no problem with the limit. It is the manner in which you constantly changed the rules and the tone in which it was conveyed.

Their customer service is amazing. I wanted rainbow sprinkles without pinks and pastels and they went back and made a package for me. They carry almost anything you can imagine and their prices are comparable to Amazon.

This tiny shop has SO many flavors inside! They had exactly what I was looking for - anise oil and bakers ammonia for my Christmas Springerle recipe, plus a huge selection of vanilla extracts. Staff were friendly, helpful, and mask safety protocols are followed. As a trans girl, I felt comfortable dressing feminine there, which is important to me :) Thank you, Vanilla Bean!

This is a cute little kitchenware/ baking supply shop. Ive been coming to this shop for at least 10 years, usually when I realize I need something for a baking project last minute. If there is a small kitchen gadget youre looking for, or a specific cookie cutter they probably have it. What I like best about Vanilla Bean, is their assortment of food colorings and flavorings.

Customer service was top notch. Person who helped was very understanding of autistic students, highly recommended for sweet tooths!

I too lost out with the no-return policy on an expensive all natural food dye product. Sold as red but is actually mauve, not an awesome holiday color :( I completely understand the no return on food but I also feel this product is falsely advertised. Clearly my item is opened and not re-sellable, however there should be a solution for the sale of a faulty product since there was no mention in the signage or by the sales rep (who answered “yes” when I asked if the colors were true) that the colors may not match the label. In this case, they were waaaay off. A courteous response to my request for a refund or an attempt to show some understanding of the situation would have been appreciated. I’ve been a Vanilla Bean customer for many years and have always known exactly what I’ve been looking for but now having been led astray, question whether they have the customer’s best interest in mind. Best case scenario, they would have attempted to resolve the situation by offering store credit and following up with their vendor about the issue and truth in advertising. I agree that Vanilla Bean should not have to pay the price for a bad product, but neither should I.

I absolutely love Vanilla Bean! It’s my go to for everything cake or candy making.

Fantastic store and staff! Id never made candy in my life, and I decided to go all in and make cherry cordials. I realized very quickly that I was in WAY over my head, and didnt have half the supplies I needed. The staff was incredibly helpful, I got everything I needed, and I left with the confidence I needed to get started.

Have shopped at Vanilla Bean for years and unfortunately there “return policy” is a problem for others too. Spent well over $100 again on products for holiday treats and did not end up needing to use all the supplies, we called ahead to be sure we could return the unused items (sealed) and in the exact same condition they were as they left the store and were told by the associate that it would not be accepted as any food related item is against he store policy to take back. That is absolutely ridiculous and absurd as any other store would allow such a return literally the same week of purchase. We will not be returning to this store again as we are stuck with almost $100 in supplies we will not need. When baking you never know how much you may need so it’s always good to have more then less and in this case Vanilla Bean has failed on there customer service. Only remedy would be accepting Sealed Returns (not expired) from the same week of purchase!

Good source for specialized baking and candy making supplies with knowledgeable staff. Only place in town to find anise oil, which is essential for making my grandmas cookie recipe.

We used to go here all the time and they were very helpful, however service has gone downhill. The staff we recently had was no help. Also dont buy anything you might need to return, they come up with excuses as to why they dont have to take it back despite their website saying 100% guarantee and they will make you feel terrible about yourself in the process. My advice go to Joanns or order online.
