Beware! Cant buy here unless you pay an extra $2,699 for their 5-year warranty and other stuff you may not need or want. Came up very early for a scheduled test drive of a pricey Mustang GT and look at a couple other cars in the area. First, was not informed of such before going there and it was not included in their posted and discounted MSRP Final Price. Second, the car was not prepared for a test drive; still parked away with window stickers on all windows and not clean. Thirdly, I explained I never keep a car more than 3-years so the extra warranty is of no use to me. The response was basically take it or leave it, thats how we sell cars here. I left it without wasting their time on a test drive and moved on to the next on my list. Only reason for 2 stars is that the young salesman I had was quite nice and was only communicating what the gal or guy behind the curtain, you know in that back office, was telling him to tell me.

I had an issue with my hybrid vehicle and called Hammonasset Ford, they told me to come in, when I got there they took my vehicle in and began working on it, in about an hour or less they advised me that they had repaired my vehicle and that it was under warranty and sent me on my way, no charge. the repair was done correctly and I have not had any problems since. I would definitely recommend this dealership. Sal the service manager was very professional and knowledgeable about the repair and the warranty, I briefly spoke to the technician that did my repair (Harry) and explained what work was done. A pleasure doing business with Hammonasset Ford, I will return for future repair work and maintenance services......GREAT JOB guys!!!

What a disappointment! I heard good things about this dealer so I thought I would buy a truck from them. What a mistake. I first talked to a woman on the phone named Andrea who said I could buy the truck at MSRP and I was lucky they werent selling it $5,000 over MSRP only caveat was I had to buy a fugazzi aftermarket warranty for $2,699. I thought that was incorrect information so I decided to show up and look at the truck I wanted to buy. Spoke with CherylAnn she then said the exact same thing. I said ill buy the truck at MSRP but not that junk warranty, she said buy the warranty or you cant buy the truck. So I bought the same truck as Gengras BELOW MSRP.

FRAUD ALERT AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Made an appointment for my truck to have an exhaust manifold replaced. Quoted me over the phone 1.7 hours of labor and informed me that labor rates vary from $135 an hour to $235 an hour ???? She could not explain why or what would constitute the higher rates or what my rate would be. Her answer was cars are difficult to work on these days WHAT ?? So you are saying that your own cars are so awful to service you have to charge more per hour but cant tell me much more ?? So if the job is kind of hard is it $170 ?? Mind you I had had this dealership perform this very same job on the other side of this engine a few years back and they did a good job and the cost was fixed and somewhat reasonable. It should also be mentioned that the staff was at the time competent and polite. Thus my return to their facility. However a lot has changed ! First of all my appointment was postponed not once but 4 times in 3.5 weeks and was only made aware of this by text often with very little notice. Once they finally got the truck in they looked it over and texted me a quote the 1.7 hours of labor had now spiraled into $1595.00 for just the labor !!!!! Not only that but informing me that was the minimum labor charge for labor and they if they ran into any problems like broken bolts or rust the labor charge could increase exponentially ???? After hearing this crazy nonsense I retrieved my vehicle and took it elsewhere. This shop did run into some broken bolts and studs increasing the amount of time to do the job however the final bill for labor was $502 that is nearly $1100 less than Hammonasset minimum labor cost quote. Bottom line this place is not the fair business it once was I would strongly suggest going elsewhere.To the response given by Hammonaset . I have every text you people sent me and I am sure you do as well proving that your response is simply untrue. However given my last experience I am not surprised your response would be dishonest. For the folks who may read this if you decide for some reason to use this shop make absolutely certain you get a second opinion or you will likely be taken advantage of as they tried to do to me

Hammonasset Ford is one of those few and far between dealerships that understands that its not about pushing sales, but rather helping someone in their car buying decision.I did a ton of research and I knew the exact car that I wanted before visiting any dealerships, and I have to say that the salesperson that I worked with, Mike Timmons, was the reason that I bought the car from Hammonasset.This reminds me of the quote, Be a resource, not a sales pitch.He knew everything about the car that I was looking at and he was never pushy.I left a deposit on the car that night and the entire transaction went smoothly as well. I worked with Nate Sico, the business manager, on the F&I part of the deal. He was a really nice guy and really funny, too. We felt really comfortable and felt that he had our best interests in mind when it came to the warranty options.After sale is very important too. I am having a couple minor issues with the car (which we all knew about before I took delivery), and Mike is taking care of this and has been following up with the service department. I am not bringing this up as a negative thing, but rather to show that even after the sale, their customer service is really good.As far as the car goes, I love my new to me 2015 Ford Edge Titanium and Ive been telling my friends and family about my great experience. So I had to say good bye to my f250 monster truck with 37 inch tires and a 7 inch lift, 2019 with the fx4 package, bought it brand new off the showroom floor a ford in Paramus NJ. I searched high and low for an F-350 diesel, my search took 4 days, but started with my guys who I have a 5 year relationship in nj with. Ford in nj was only concerned about getting me into a 2020, they told me inventory was low and they could could not find a certified pre owned. It appeared they did not want to work with me. Which I found distasteful since I was a 3rd generation ford buyer from them. So I started hunting online and everything I found was sold the next day or literally looked like junk when I went to test drive it. I expanded my search and found Steve and Dan, Victoria and Andrea. These 4 really went out of their way to give me a very good deal on a ford they just received as a trade in from one of their long time customers. I drove up 2 hours looked at it and could believe how clean it was. Steve gave me a great interest rate, money for my trade in, and a great price on the truck I bought. These folks really did make it easy for me to trade my vehicle in. I saved beyond what I needed to and got a beautiful truck in return. I wake up every morning and thank Jesus for leading me to them. Bought new Focus ST in 2017, great experience with sales. Their parts and service department is some of the worst unprofessional service Ive seen.I ordered plastic fog light housing for passenger side. They mistakenly gave me the drivers. No problem, so I went to swap. I understand part number is different due to orientation of holes. They told me I had difference of over half what was originally paid. This makes completely no sense and just a way for hammonasset to bring in more money.Ive now re ordered from Monaco Ford for same price I paid initially. I will be buying another new car beginning 2021 and it will not be from hammonasset. I am also going elsewhere now for my maintenance.Justin

Initially started looking for a used Escape but ended buying a new Eco-Sport. My salesman Conal Sampson very efficiently arranged the numerous test drives that I needed to make up my mind for the smaller vehicle. I have bought Fords both new and used from this dealer before, and always leave more satisfied than not. BTW the Eco-Sport is an excellent and solid car with adequate room in the back for my two 70lb dogs.

I had a good experience at Hammonasset Ford. The staff was friendly and responded to the description of what I wanted without trying to hard sell me and steer me to what they wanted to sell. The manager Steve Mantilla was attentive. The sales person Cheryl was great. The business manager Ali was very helpful and worked to get me the deal I wanted on finance. All in all, this was a great car buying experience. Much better than I have had elsewhere.
