I took in my car for an oil change, I was able to get an appointment the same day. The service was quick. I was also able to chat with the owner about general maintenance/condition of my car and he was very helpful. This will be my go to place for any car issue in the future.

Hands down, this is the best shop in Madison. Excellent customer service, and fair pricing. They will not lead you in the wrong direction, or tell you something needs fixed when it doesnt. As somebody who isnt knowledgeable about cars, Mark does a great job at breaking down cars into Laymans terms for non-gearheads like myself. Not only that, but I took my vehicle into Crestwood and it was fixed within a couple of hours. If youre looking for great service and no-BS, this is the place to go.

The company displays excellent Covid practices. Car done when promised. The owner remembered my name after meeting me one time and spent plenty of time explaining what they did. There was no attempt at up charging. Despite the fact I told the owner they could spend up to $200 to repair anything needed fixing without calling me, they did nothing extra saying nothing was needed. The next day I took my son’s car in for service, and we had exactly the same excellent service. I plan to do all my car service at this business. They are very pleasant and professional. Highly recommended.

They are very honest and fair and will tell you what needs to be done now, what needs to be done later, and what can be put off based on the age and condition of the car. They do high quality work at fair prices and stand behind everything they do. It brings great peace of mind to know I have an honest mechanic!

Crestwood is the single best and kindest mechanic Ive ever been to. I know basically nothing about cars, Ive had mine 3 years and I didnt know how to open the hood until recently, and so many other shops have taken advantage of that. Not Crestwood. They have been incredibly accommodating and take the time to explain what was going on in my car. One time they even showed me how to add coolant! They are a Trusted Hometown Mechanic hidden in a big city.

Well, it looks like and I hope my experience was an exceptional one. But it was over the course of two plus years. At least six visits. I kept giving the benefit of the doubt, and ignoring the flat out classic mechanic explanations for things. Hard to telll someone with calloused and greasy hands that their explanation does not hold water. But Ive since changed mechanics and learned a lot about what has happened over the last two years. I will not go back. My guess is that they can do some things well because they are set up to do those things, enjoy doing those things, and cant or dont other things because they arent set up to do them well because they do not have the tools, the desire, or the expertise. P. S. Others mention timely service. That in itself says something doesnt it?

I called ahead and theyre pricing was much more reasonable than a nearby chain store. Also, their availability to get the job done the same day for my tire replacement was a huge plus. I found they did a thorough job as well with communication. Very experienced with Ford and Chevy backgrounds.

I will only go here, even for just oil changes. I love this place, they are great, reasonable, fair, and very loyal. Just today, my wheel started making an awful noise, so I stopped in to make an appointment. Instead, they fixed it, no charge, on the spot. New owner is just as great as the old one. Do yourself a favor and take your cars to them.

I am so happy I read these reviews and decided to go Crestwood Auto Clinic. If you want to go where you feel like you will be treated like family and not just another customer then give it a try. They did the job one third less than I was quoted at the dealer and they stayed open late to make sure it was done AS PROMISED. They fixed things I did not ask for like making sure my idle wasnt eating tons of gas. I now burn gas at half the rate I did. I am now a customer for life!

I really wanted to like this mechanic, but instead was left confused and offended by my contact with them. My initial impression was favorable because of their relatively sophisticated and easy to use webpage and the fact that they were only a couple blocks away from my house so that I could easily walk home after dropping the car off.I scheduled an appointment for the next day using their web form, which I was very impressed with. I filled out all my information, including my name, phone number, email address, and a description of what I needed to have done. The first two times that I tried, I got a message to check the time, which I thought was an odd error message, but the third time I chose a different time and the form went through, giving me a confirmation screen. Between then and the appointment time, I got no phone calls or email messages from Crestwood.At the appointment time, I drove to the clinic, getting there a few minutes early. There were two people working on cars in the garage, neither of who spoke to me. I entered the office and no one was inside, so I sat down in one of the waiting room chairs. A few seconds later, one of the mechanics entered the room, said hello, and walked down the hallway to the office. I followed him and said that I had made an appointment. He brusquely said that he didnt know anything about it and that I wasnt in the book and asked what I needed to have done. I told him about the part I had brought to have replaced in my car and he started shaking his head in an annoyed way before I finished. He said that he didnt have time. I asked if there was another time that would work. He said, Not today, very shortly. He seemed very annoyed by my presence and very disinclined to offer me any sort of customer service at all. (I would gladly have taken another time slot, even if it was on a different day.) At this point I gave up and left.I was left feeling offended and, truthfully, humiliated because of the way that he treated me as if I were beneath him and was wasting his time. I work in retail and have always been taught that even if you cant give the customer what they want, to always offer alternatives and, especially, to always be polite and try to make the interaction a good experience. Im sure I came off as timid and unsure because of my unfamiliarity with both cars and the repair shop, but that was no reason to treat me so rudely, especially at a shop that supposedly prides itself on treating customers with respect.I will take my car to Don the Muffler Man (where I have always been treated well and given good service) in the future, even though its in a more inconvenient location.

I called the morning of needing major repairs and they scheduled me in. Instead of keeping the car over the weekend they stayed an hour and a half after they closed to finish the job for me. Furthermore, they explained everything to me and were honest about what services I didnt really need. The prices were significantly less than the quotes I had received at two other places for the same job, and they threw in a free tire rotation!

Being at Crestwood Auto is like being with friends now. I read the review about the mechanic who was gruff and rude and I wished I could have told the person to go back! I was there once when Vikki was on vacation and I agree: he may be an amazing mechanic but his people skills and customer service leave a whole lot to be desired. But normally, you are greeted by the dogs, a big smile from Vikki and lots of explanation and effort to keep your costs down. I always trust that I am being told that honest truth. This is the best auto shop or mechanic I have ever been to and I feel so positively about recommending them to others. Do yourself a favor and visit this shop for your next oil change. You will take your vehicle back every time!! Just make sure the owner is not out of town....

I have been going to Crestwood Auto for over 10 years. (I live close by.) The service has always been professional, reasonably priced, and personal. I have gotten to know and like Vicky, the owner, and she has done many favors for me over the years. Once, I thought I would do my Honda a little something special and take it to Zimbrick for a check-up. BIG MISTAKE. Although we do use Zimbrick, Vicky is much more cost effective and doesnt charge us $600 to fix something that leaks 3 drops a year. She has kept more than one vehicle running for years passed its last leg for us. If I cant get it started, she will come and get it, etc.--many little things she does for people--and doesnt charge an arm and a leg.
