As a woodworker myself, I know what I am good at and I know when it’s best to call in a specialist. After getting my parents’ bedroom furniture out of storage; my wife and I decided it was time to restore the pieces. I knew I didn’t have the right shop to properly restore the pieces. Since I was familiar with the quality of work that Bruce Erickson does at Country Antiques; we took the job to him. We had about 6 pieces that needed work, and we were able to work out a plan with him that would work with his schedule and our pocketbook. As we got the pieces back, it was just amazing to see all the details that he was able to bring back…they were beautiful! Great care and advice

I have had a lot of old furniture repaired here and hes done a great job. We use this stuff every day, and some of it was really busted up when we brought it in. From the other reviews, it sounds like he doesnt like phone conversations about refinishing, but I think its ridiculous to leave a review for a phone call, and you have no experience with the work.

I had some furniture I wanted refinished so I called the shop at 10am on Sunday to learn more about services. The person that answered seemed fairly annoyed and hung up on me after I said one piece was painted and her he didn’t refinish furniture with paint. Negative experience and I don’t think I’ll stop in

I had a similar experience when calling about having stain stripped from some dining chairs. I was just calling to see if that was a service they offered. The man that answered sounded very annoyed with my request and talked down to me. I eventually had to hang up because I was unable to get any information from him.
