On 8/3/2020 I drove my 2012 Chevy express van to Atlas transmission to have them check out the issue of why my transmission would stall sometimes when changing into forth gear on the expressway. I also had to address the previous issue with them installing a flywheel on 12/23/2019 in which I told the owner that it was recommended to purchase a flywheel from the dealer because it is a common problem in that vehicle and the aftermarket flywheel do not work well and the issue will return and the dealer part is more durable with a warranty. He assure me that he would purchase a dealer flywheel and install it and service my transmission. He charged 1,039.00 on 12/23/2019. On 6/19/ 2020 I stopped over to atlas transmission talk to the owner told him that the ticking noise was back he said no problem bring it in another time he had a lot of vehicles in the shop at the time and he couldnt get to it. After making a couple of trips I told the owner to call me when he had available time to change the flywheel because the ticking noise was not as loud as it was in the beginning. Some time had passed and on 8/3/2020 I arrived with the new issue. I was told that the transmission needed to be rebuilt by Atlas and he would change the flywheel. After discovering he did not purchase a flywheel from the dealer I decided to purchase it and have them to install it.The owner called me on 8/6/2020 told me my vehicle was ready I arrived 8/7/2020 9:30 am. I noticed that it was hesitating to go in reverse and forward he said just go ahead and drive it at that point I had already returned my rental vehicle and was dropped off. After driving around for four hours it started to get worse I return back to the shop took the owner on a test drive and on the way back to the shop the transmission completely stop pulling. The shop was closing up and it was Friday evening and the owner said Monday morning they would pull the transmission back out and see what is the problems, but my question to him was if you replace to all new parts like you said it shouldnt have been a problem. After thinking it over all weekend and using my judgement I decided not to give them a opportunity to touch my vehicle again and make matters worse. I drove my vehicle there not had it towed and when getting it back it was frustrating and just ridiculous for my vehicle to operating the way it was after driving around for 4 hours. If this company would have fix my vehicle correct the first time I should have not had a problem in 4 hours of driving around.Monday 8/10/2020 I called roadside assistance to pick up my van and had it towed (ECHOLS TRANSPORT & RECOVERY) to The Wright Transmission. On 8/13/2020 I received a call that my van was ready I picked it up the shop owner said that 3-4 gears where burned up I asked was the parts in the transmission new he said the only thing that he see was new is the flywheel. The van is running great thanks to The Wright Transmission.
I didnt love it they Recked my car test driving checking the work
Sunny, the owner, had my water pump and timing belt installed on my car. He finished it on time and did not give me an excessive bill. What makes him stand out is this: I had a mobile mechanic replace my spark plugs on my V-6 engine, but he put the spark plug wires incorrectly. He also messed up the drive by wire for the accelerator pedal. The mobile mechanic said he would come back and fix it, but he did not, and he didn’t return my calls or texts. Sunny took my car and fixed the problem at no charge. That shows exemplary character! Reliable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy are the adjectives I would use to describe Atlas transmission. I would not hesitate to take my car back to him. The simple truth is that an honest mechanic shop is hard to find. I recommend them highly!
Pretty friendly and help me with the services that I needed.
Great people, reasonable and timely service. Got my car (2007 Honda Civic) fixed in a fraction of the cost of what other shops wanted to charge. Will definitely be recommending to anyone in need of car repair.
Honest and great customer service......Sadly, every business doesnt offer this ..... 5 stars
Extremely professional. I recommend them.
Looked all over for someone to just check my transmission fluid levels. It has a dip stick so itd be an easy task but no one would help me regardless. I showed up without an appointment and found everyone was out to lunch except for the manager/ owner. He was in his office eating lunch. I explained my situation and he took time outta his lunch to help me! I know it was a small task but it meant the world to me thinking my truck was going to break down and not having anyone to help me.
Did excellent a.c. replacement at half price of two other quotes. Replaced a year old alternator which dealer refused to warrant-excellent work at reasonable rates.
This place lied to me. I paid for diagnostic and they told me:The trannsmission was stuck in 3rd gear and needed a 2000 dollar fix.I drove it away and it worked in all gears perfectly. The problem was a 100 dollar torque converter... 400 dollar labor to fix. These people are criminal the way they lied to me and REMAINED in denial after I confronted them with truth.Atlas Transmission service should be AVOIDED AT ALL COST according to my direct experience!
Great experience with an expert, I save hundreds of dollars with them comparing to another shop. the best labor cost with accurate time I ever deal with. Thank you
Atlas Transmission has an awesome crew. They are very curtious, clear, concise, and do great work. My personal experience certainly went very well and if anyone has transmission issues and want a trustworthy fair crew to work with, I would highly recommend going to Atlas Transmission off Mableon Pkwy.
Bought my 350z there for clutch to be replaced. Then received a call the next day telling me that the clutch is done but car has a misfire. I explained to them several times that the engine was fine when u received car. So i told them to just fix it. $1250.00 later car still not fixed they said there a recall on car bring to dealer. Got car to dealer. Dealer does there diagnosis $112.50 finds that clutch plate is installed wrong. advised them to fix it $950.00 and i will take this up with Atlas Transmission. Call Atlas and explained to them what dealer said. They said they had no clue that flex plate had to be install a certain way. I asked what they were going to do. they said refund $200.00. so this $950 job cost me$2100.00.They will NEVER get my service again.Beware....
Stopped by to get an estimate to replace a rear seal hub. Owner would not give me an estimate, insisted i leave my car for a few days to run a diagnostic test for $50. Luckily i checked out his prior reviews and they werent pleasant. Felt a bad vibe from the initial experience; walked away and didnt look back.
I have delt with this company a few times my last 2 visits was not good.. poor work and was over charged.. my last visit I waa charged almost $ 500 dollars for a $25 dollar fix... Im still fuming about that incident...
Do not take your Vehicle here I paid this guy 2300 too rebuild my transmission and it went out one day after the warranty was off DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS PLACE
My experience was totally different pertaining to a 2005 Chrysler 300c. They charged $535.00 for a diagnostic compared to $118.00 at the dealer. Upon removing and dismantling the tranny I was called to review the results. It was very apparent that they neither have the knowledge nor equipment to properly diagnose and repair this transmission or it is a shady operation and Sonnys goal is to significantly mislead the customer into a more expensive repair. Their cost for the repair would have been $3600.00 w/ 1 yr. warranty. Ed Voyles cost $2900.00 w/ 3yr warranty. So at the end of the day I had to pay another $100.00 for Atlas to reassemble and install the tranny for a total of $635.00 spent with a company that lacked the knowledge or equipment to perform the repair!
Great at diagnostics, quick and efficient work.
Test did
Very expensive
